ULIV Mexico City

Apartment was lacking natural light: no window in the living room-kitchen, the terrace in the bedroom has a metal shutter locked in position allowing a glimpse of sun during daytime. Refrigerador was supernoisy, as weel the extractor hood, which was also totally insufficient for the small kitchen. Pods & pans were below poor level... The facility was advertised with a gym, but there was none, since it was still under construction. This is called false advertising. The soundproofing of the room was indecent, a condo facing directly a hevey traffic road should have better nois absorption. Location is great, walking distance from Condesa, restaurants, markets and minutes away from Reforma. Staff was good.

It all depends on what side of building your room is on. If it doesn’t face Insurgentes, noise isn’t terrible. If it does, no amount of earplugs or pillows over your head will help. The rooftop deck is very nice (drinks are expensive though). Staff is super friendly and were it not for them, I’d probably give this place three stars.

Loved this property! Had a small kitchen with a tap with filtered drinking water. The views were great from my room and the location is amazing. Right where you want to be! Close to restaurants, museums and shopping. The rooftop is stunning and the property acrually has a real gym there! I will be staying here anytime I need to come to CDMX!

Hotel is located in a central and safe area, between two trendy neighbourhoods (Roma Norte and condesa), walking distance to shops, cafes, variety of restaurants (street food, casual, high end), and corner stores. Highlights included a gym, a roof top terrasse with bar, free self serve laundry, shower amenities, kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, 24 hour front desk/security and polite staff. Housekeeping service is available for additional charge. There is no restaurant or breakfast available at the hotel but restaurants and cafes are nearby. The room was spacious with comfortable bed. I highly recommend this hotel.

Definitely a slight noise issue since the property is right on a major street with lots of traffic. So if you’re sensitive to noise, have your ear plugs ready. The AC is a huge plus since the apartment gets really hot. Gym is very well equipped and somewhat clean. Location is excellent, walkable to plenty of restaurants in Roma Norte and Condessa. Front desk were extremely helpful giving me a room on the higher floors since I’m a light sleeper. Property is very secure with round the clock front desk security. Filtered water in the kitchen is a huge plus. Laundry service is available and housekeeping is also available at an extra charge. Room can be a little cleaner with one of the cups still very dirty from previous use.

Room was secure with digit lock feature. Staff were very helpful and super nice. Portions of room had significant damage (one chair dining chair had a broken leg, metal bit under doorway completely separated from adhesive glue, etc.)

Excellent rooms and friendly staff. Their laundry area is a huge plus.Wish housekeeping was included. No safes in room.

VERY helpful, welcoming staff at all times in all ways. Fabulous roof deck, good gym, and a few private work areas. Very clean, modern with easy mini kitchen, dining/work tables, tv, shower, closet space and bedding. Good plugs and bedding and lighting. Great location. Great breakfast spot 2 blocks away We went every day. Excellent value.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay. My first room had a broken shower, mould, grime and was in poor condition. Staff were often loud in the corridor, playing music and having conversations late at night. After asking for repairs, no one arrived, so I was moved to another room where the shower leaked badly and one morning there was no running water at all. The hotel also sent frequent unsolicited WhatsApp messages. Staff were generally curt and unhelpful, and the hotel has ignored all follow-up emails. For the price, this was a very poor experience and I would not recommend.

I was under the impression that I was going to get a higher level apartment based on the reservation. I was booked on the 1st floor. The apartment was in generally good shape but there were signs of dirty spots and hair on the floor, bed and couch.

ULIV Mexico City is in a great location—there are coffee shops, bars, food stands, and plenty of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Given this, it is very loud at night, even on the 13th floor. As per cleanliness, we found a soiled towel hung up in our bathroom on the first night. While they did provide a complementary cleaning, the experience made us hesitant about the cleanliness of the rest of the space. The rooms are beautiful and well stocked with kitchen supplies though. Additionally, the laundry room and machines are not well kept. While they do provide detergent, there is powder all over the floor and in the drawers. The machines themselves are filthy, and they do not seem to be cleaned regularly. I would recommend this place for the location and size of the rooms, but if you need a longer rental, I would consider another hotel.

The room was spotless and very nice!

The highlights: they had an available umbrella that helped us out a lot until we bought our own. Check in was easy and the communication was great. They held our luggage and were able to go explore until our room was ready. Room was exactly like the picture. Now what was dissatisfying was we found our room dirty. Dirty floors, dirty towels and some of the bed linen dirty as well. We mopped the floor because it was so gross. We did ask for housekeeping for one day and it was an additional cost. They don’t do housekeeping at all during your stay. The bed was uncomfortable and hard. Roma was a cool area to stay but very loud. Try condesa area it seems to be more quiet. The elevator was slight broken. It kept opening and closing. The laundry room was dirty and the machines don’t work too well. Not a bad stay.

Although the bed appeared to be made for a new guest, the sheets had visible stains, including blood, and showed clear signs of prior use. The bed was eventually changed, but only after a nearly 30-minute wait, and we were referred to Expedia rather than receiving an immediate solution. Given the premium paid, this was disappointing and affected our overall experience.

Everything was in working order, clean. No cable!

I really wanted to like this property, however, the room in which I stayed was so terrible it really ruined the other likeable features of the property. The room was dark, no natural light what so ever since it had no windows the outside. The air conditioning was ABYSMAL with the unit concentrating only on the bedroom area making it freezing to sleep while the rest of the apartment (particularly the living room area) felt unbearably hot. The hotel is noisy, definitely catering to young people who are smoking weed in their rooms and the whole place smells like it. Noise throughout the night is constant, and the rooms are very poorly insulated, so you will hear everything. The room looks amazing on the website, but it was so so disappointing in person. An absolute lack of any decoration, making it feel sparse and cheap. It feels like and elevated hostel more than a hotel. The only thing that really really saves this place is the rooftop terrace which is breath taking. I will not be staying here again.

I had the panoramic view apartment. The view was truly amazing. A little loud at night due to traffic, but that can’t be avoided in Mexico City. The staff was friendly and I felt very secure. The location in Roma Norte allowed me to walk to many of the major attractions. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was clean and spacious, and the hotel was a main boulevard easy accessible to the beautiful neighborhoods of Roma and Condesa. The AC in the room barely cooled and the refrigerator when turn on could be extremely loud and even woke me up night.

It’s ok if you can’t find anything else the room was kinda small , the walls and table were damaged by previous tenants, I guess they can’t control , the hotel is located close to all good restaurants and the angel of independence but it’s located on a corner near an intersection so traffic is heavy and at night it’s loud hard to sleep , 4 blocks away there’s another hotel called onto in tonala, it’s ways better and for the same price when I went in April 4 blocks

Overall, great location. Our room was very clean and well-kept. Facilities were nice as well. Only complaint is that it can be quite loud at night from the traffic below- despite being on the 11th floor, we could still hear everything. Also, there is only an AC unit in the bedroom, not in the kitchen/living room area so it can get quite hot if the door isn't kept open. Otherwise, would highly recommend!

THE NOISE!!! I know CDMX is a noisy city and I can live with traffic noise. But the near constant noise in my room on the 11th floor (!) made it extremely difficult to sleep. Not great when trying to deal with jet lag. The apartment building is situated on a very busy road, but more importantly an odd junction where a 4 lane road merges into av. Insurgentes. The result at anything other than 1-5am is almost constant beeping of horns as drivers get frustrated with each other. I was excited to leave after 3 days. I feel bad as the staff are amazing. The location is good as I was central to everything I wanted to visit. The apartment itself was a good size and air con worked very well. I had booked to return here for 2 nights before my flight home but I’ve cancelled that and will look for somewhere in a quieter location

Panorama room was a bit loud and not sound-proofed from the street, and the AC was a bit weak so it became really hot in the morning. The area is nice and walkable though.

Great city view

The views and rooftop are top notch. Rooms are perhaps a little sparse, but the towels and soaps/shampoos are nice. You can tell this is a Mexican chain given the generic Nescafé pods, basic lower quality flooring, and lack of any cable channels on the TV. As a business traveler and pkebrt of things going on in the world, it was disappointing not to have at least CNN and business news channels along with ESPN. Overall is was very nice accommodation and very clean. A part of the shower glass somehow came of track and cracked/sliced me but the hotel was very quick to respond, change my room and offer antiseptic. I was very happy with their care and response to random one off. I will stay here again. The location is great.

2 people were able to come into the room. Apparently they were given the same room just with a different code to use. Luckily I was in the room. This was a huge safety concern and the front desk treated it like it wasn’t a big issue. They could not provide an explanation on how the room was given to two separate parties. I asked for a new code to be given. In addition, the AC was leaking water. Maintenance did come and fix the issue. Then, the next day the elevators weren’t working. Towels provided looked dirty. I had to ask for a new twice. Overall the property is in a great location. I did enjoy the city view. However, I would not stay there again.

Overall this was your average hotel, it had all of the necessary amenities and was clean. We liked having a kitchenette, although the stove was finicky. The reason for the low rating is because of HORRIBLE communication from the property. They sent a message same-day that they were going to be shutting off the water for maintenance from 11:00pm-4:00am. That message was sent on their internal messaging platform (which does not send notifications), despite communicating via WhatsApp for the past month. As a result, we had no notice whatsoever, and there were no signs posted or notes put on the door, etc. 10:00pm rolled around and we tried to use the shower (after a long day at Tolantongo), toilet, and fill up our water bottles. The water was already off 1 hour earlier than scheduled. We were unable to shower, wash our hands, or even flush the toilet. This led to an extremely uncomfortable stay as we had just returned from a day-long excursion. Despite being responsive when I messaged the property, they claimed there was nothing they could do. They denied responsibility and claimed that any partial refund decision would be Orbitz’s responsibility. Orbitz sent us back to the hotel, telling us that the property manager would need to make that decision. ULIV ruined a good part of our stay and did absolutely nothing to make it right. Don’t book here if you want basic plumbing on your vacation!

The hotel concierge let a visitor into my room without permission in the middle of the night. Who I did not want to be let into my room. They did not ask me, they simply let them inside. This person had already been knocking and I was not answering.

Great location and walking distance to lots of bars, restaurants and coffee shops! The room was clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we felt safe with the 24/7 front desk staff and security. Our water stopped worked one day and they were very quick to fix it. We would definitely book again.

A really nice hotel (condo / apartment style) but we had a very rough first night - with a loud and disturbing couple that arrive late at night and fought in the hallways all night. We had to call the police because it wasnt clear how to communicate with the hotel staff who were stationed only on the ground floor and no way to communicate with them unless we left our room. It was scary actually and the lack of communication was an ongoing issue. We had to stay for another 4 nights. The location is good in general walkable to many things in Roma Norta. The building is kind of on a sharp corner though. Drop off has to be on a side street. Overall the hotel needs better staff and communications / service.

The Staff was excellent, unfortunately the location wasn’t ideal. We stayed on the 12th floor and could hear street traffic and honking constantly. There is a definite need for sound proof windows and blackout curtains. in addition, there is a construction project next door that adds to the noise. The room overall was ok, but some of the furniture was a bit dated. Finally, getting an uber in this area can be a challenge during peak traffic hours.

Great location close to both Roma Norte and Condesa. Apartment-style stay was great when traveling as a family.

The location is perfect; the neighborhood has many places to eat, drink, or have fun, all within easy walking distance. I originally wanted to stay at ULIV Mexico City, but I ended up staying a few days at ULIV Cibeles (just a few meters away), but both options are great.

Felt safe always someone at the desk. Very close to angel of independence (10 minute walk). In a nice, new apartment building on a main street but surrounded with tree lined beautiful neighborhoods. Best of both urban and neighborhood vibes with great food and coffee shops nearby. Great city views from private balcony.

Great location, lots of life in this bustling area. Only downside is the loud traffic that can’t be avoided and may keep you up

A nice neighborhood with many dinning options. The staffs are very friendly. Rooftop is cool. However, Too noisy for sleeping. Room does not have a window. Shower water pressure is too low.

We really enjoyed staying at Uliv Mexico City. It was centrally located to many shops, restaurants and tourist sites. The rooftop had great views and the staff were very helpful.

The location was great & very walkable to great dining options & shopping. Our room was clean & comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful & professional. The Rooftop Bar was our favorite feature; the 360 views were amazing as well as the Mezcalitas! Our ULIV experience provided a realistic cultural feel of La Cuidad de Mexico! There is an opportunity to provide clearer instructions about arrival as the Hotel's entrance is not on the road that we get dropped off at (due to traffic regulations).
