Casa 1800 Oaxaca is one of those places that is even better in person than it looks in the photos—and that says a lot, because the photos are beautiful. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Oaxaca, making it incredibly easy to walk everywhere and enjoy the city. But what really makes this hotel special is the atmosphere. The architecture, decoration, colors, details, and beautiful spaces create a perfect mix of Oaxaca’s character with an elegant, sophisticated feel. Every corner seems thoughtfully designed. The service was exceptional. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever being intrusive. You immediately feel that the staff cares about making your stay a great experience. And a special recommendation: book the Carmen room. It is absolutely worth it. The room has a wonderful character and is the kind of space that makes you want to spend a little extra time enjoying the hotel rather than simply using it as a place to sleep. Honestly, the photos do not do Casa 1800 Oaxaca justice. You have to see it, walk through it, and experience it to appreciate how beautiful and special it really is. A fantastic stay and, without hesitation, a hotel I would happily return to on my next visit to Oaxaca.

The hotel was in an incredible location right by the Zocalo and was in an old rustic building. The room had all the amenities we needed and even had a small terrace looking out on the street allowing us to hear the music outside. Additionally, the staff was very helpful and kind. Overall it was a wonderful stay!

I only stayed 1 night in a tiny room smaller than an inside cabin on a cruise ship. When I complained, they upgraded me to a room in their sister hotel, Casa Olié, It was roomy, had a king-size bed and was excellent. I will stay there whenever I am in Oaxaca. a cruise ship. When I complained and requested a cancellation, they upgraded me to an excellent room room
