Front desk staff not friendly at all. Didn't even ask for my ID when I checked in. Elevator was broken, not even a "sorry for the inconvenience" when we were on the 3rd floor. During the night, the AC leaked everywhere and the child that was sleeping on a pad on the floor woke up in a puddle of water. Again, not even a half sincere "sorry for the inconvenience". Overall just pathetic in the customer service department. We stayed in the same hotel in the fall of 2024 and it was much better.

parking can be difficult. it was under construction in the lobby and other areas, so I'm sure the conditions will be much better next time.

Not one exterior door was locked that said use key card to enter... or ever were ever locked

Overnight, our stay was good. However, we were really disappointed to find that the pool and the uce machine were both "temporarily out of service." I feel like there should have been some sort of adjustment to our rate to compensate for that.

The property definitely needed some updating. The air conditioner in our room was loud and rattling even when it was technically off. The carpet was peeling up in the room. The back door near the stairs did not seem to close properly and someone left it propped open with a rock so anyone could have come into the property. The bed was comfortable and the lobby and breakfast were nice. Not sure I would stay there again as the price seemed high for the condition of the property.

Pool is still closed, but otherwise nice

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Facility has been newly remodeled and looks really nice. Everything was clean and comfortable, nice soft towels. We had an issue with our door though, something wasnt right it was hard to open and close and it we couldn't get the deadbolt to lock. Sounded like others around us had the same issues because their doors sounded similar to ours each time thet were having to be forced opened. Pool was closed and ice machine was out of order. Hopefully these things are a the list to be fixed as part of the remodel.

Hotel was excellent except that the pool was out or order and we were really disappointed in that aspect of our stay after driving 7 hours to get there.

So overpriced for this type of hotel. They must not have competition in Stephenville, TX. Soap scum in the bathtub, hairs, and the air conditioner was barely cool.

it was all fine but there was a roach in the tub when i first walked in.

Nice staff and clean rooms

Watched a mouse run across the floor in the suite. Killed a couple of bugs.

The room was not cleaned from previous use when I arrived, but I was too tired to and wanted to sleep so I turned the sheets over and slept. I made sure to leave the clean please hanging from the door and I came back the next night with the do not disturb sign hanging from the door. The room uncleared and again I was way too tired for a confrontation. Terrible, would not recommend.

The tub faucet dripped all night, could hear even with door shut.. room was by elevator, noisy all night. TV remote worked inconsistently. Not a very good experience and extremely overpriced just because graduation weekend.

Check in was pleasant with friendly staff at the desk. The pictures of the room far undersold it. I reserved a suite with king bed. I was not prepared for how large the room was. Separate sitting area and sleeping area with both being very roomy. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Room was only ½ furnished. Drawers had no fonts to them and I had to clean the dirt and dust from inside b4 I could put clothes in. Room keys NEVER worked, had to get a new one every time we left the room. Rented a suite, tv remote in bedroom didn't work, and there wasn't even a cable box in the main room. Room was dark. Only a couple ceiling lights and no lamps. Switch plates were screwed on with drywall screws. It was VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Everything was great but the ac in the room. Room felt muggy with the ac at 70.

We had to move rooms twice. The first was only a single bed (we reserved a double), the A/C in the second room was not working. The third room was a single with a fold out so it sufficed.. at least the A/C was working better.

Good stay beds are so comfortable

Very nice staff, room was very clean but A/C clattered when it was not running,just fan vibration maybe. Several lights did not work, they were either burnt out or there was no way to turn them on.Left a not eith the desk person so they might look into these things. Loved the shower!

This is the second time in a row staying here that the tv(dish network) didn’t work. When the light was on in the bathroom next to us is came through the vent in the wall and shined in our bathroom. Could hear people next to us using the bathroom. Reported tv problem to front desk and was told they don’t know what the problem is and that they had no clue how to fix it. Breakfast wasn’t horrible except the scrambled eggs were full of water.

There for college graduation. Huge room! Great for family to hang out. Staff was extremely helpful when soon lost his car key. They went above and beyond!

Needed a last minute stay on the way home from Easter vacation. Had an emergency 2 hours away. We were traveling with a loaded 40 ft trailer that would slow our progress. The manager found a safe place on the property to leave it until we returned. Can’t thank them enough for saving the day. Great manager at La Quinta in Stephenville Texas

I booked 4 rooms back on November 6, 2023 for our family and friends to stay when my daughter graduated from Tarleton State University on May 9, 2024 - six months earlier. The morning of the DAY we were packing up to go to Stephenville, Donovan from La Quinta called me and said they had inadvertently overbooked and we no longer had any rooms that night. He referred me to Best Western, which we ended up staying at, for more than twice the price because they knew it was graduation weekend and we were desperate. Our La Quinta rooms were originally $184.00 per room, per night. Best Western charged us $389.00 per room, per night. We had no choice because there was literally no other places to stay, since it was the day before college graduation. I asked Donovan how they decided which customers were the "overbooked" ones and got the boot, and he said the ones who booked through a third party, like Hotels.com. It didn't matter that I had booked these rooms 6 months ago, apparently. They offered me reward points to use next time we stay at a La Quinta, but that's NEVER going to happen. I've used Hotels.com for about 20 years now and never had a problem, but I'm going to have to seriously consider any future bookings if there's a possibility I could be left without a place to stay at the very last minute with no warning. This was a horrible and extremely stressful and expensive experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Please be wary of ever booking this hotel.

Definitely a great place to stay in Stephenville. The location is great and the hotel is in great shape. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet.

Great location. Several business, restaurants, fast food, shopping and grocery store near by. Our room was was well stocked with coffee maker and all the fixings, extra towels, microwave, and refrigerator. The mattress was just right, not too soft or too firm. We will be back!

There are place to eat within walking distance as well as some shopping.

Overall the property wasn’t terrible just needs to be better maintained such as fixtures needing to be secured to the wall and not loosely hanging. The AC in our room struggled to cool the room efficiently. The crowd that hung out in the parking lot til the early morning hours should also be addressed to make patrons feel more secured. The positives are in all it was a nice hotel, the staff were super friendly and helpful! And the hotel was very clean.

Parking was close to the door and it was well lit around the building. Our room was big and clean with plenty of towels.

Entire property has been significantly updated since my last stay at this location. Ice machines were inoperable. Property next door was being demolished and it was an eyesore.

We had a quick overnight stay. Checked in late, but was greeted by very friendly staff. Our room was extremely clean and spacious. The hotel was close to all the restaurants and Tarleton State University. Definitely would stay here again; great hotel for the price!

Hotel has been newly painted, at least on the third floor. Manager was on the floor to greet guest thanking them for their patience with the paint smell. I found that to be very gracious of him to be doing that. Room was excellent, very spacious, extremely clean and very comfortable. my stay was for one night for a high school graduation. My stay was wonderful except the next morning the maid is already knocking on the door, wanting to clean the room which I found crazy since I was checking out that same morning. Did not appreciate that interruption so early. Other than that I highly recommend and will stay there again. Location is perfect.

This property is very clean and nice looking. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfy and everything worked without issue. The pool was closed for the season (Early November). Oddly, the main La Quinta website said indoor pool and hot tub which is not true. Early check in wasn’t available for us on the day we arrived. I would stay here again if I was in the area and the pool was open (summer).

Went downstairs for breakfast, which is an advertised amenity, and there’s no food available at 7:15am. I never saw anyone trying to replenish it so I left. Will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Clean, nice breakfast, worth the stay. Close to a number of fast food and sit down foods.
