The Abbey Inn is a fantastic hotel! Beautiful, clean decor. Best breakfast with many food choices. Staff was fantastic. Pool and hot tub were closed for remodel in March 2025, but they did offer free passes to the local aquatic center.

I stayed from November 10, 2025, to November 13, 2025, to visit two national parks. Check-in was swift and convenient, the room was immaculate, and there was no unusual odor. The bed and pillows were clean and sufficient. The only minor issue was the mini-fridge, which had an unusual odor. The bathroom and toilet were clean and equipped with both hot and cold water. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and offered a variety of options. The staff were all friendly and attentive. While it was a clean hotel with a comfortable bed, the pictures were very deceiving as they only showed the most up-to-date rooms. Also, the lobby was under construction. It was not very apparent that this was a motel. I should’ve paid closer attention. Also, the room was very small for a quick one night stay it was all we needed though.

Beautifully updated and clean. Austin was very cordial and informative about the amenities at check in. The lobby was under construction but not a big deal. The only complaint was that the television kept disconnecting from the WiFi and the lighting could be a bit warmer. I would stay again if passing through.

Nice rooms and good location. However the doors are super slammy here. Especially if you are near one of the exterior doors. Those slam so hard everytime someone goes in and out it can shake your room. Not fun later at night or super early in the morning.

It’s a quaint little place. Perfectly decorated, and everyone was friendly. The pool was a bit out of the way but we had it all to ourselves. Nice and big pool so I got my laps in. Hot tub was nice as well. Only one complaint. The road noise was terrible! Ask for a room at the very back.

We stayed for five nights and were very please overall. The first night the air conditioner worked but I had a hard time sleeping because of the on and off of the air conditioner. I talked to someone at the desk and she sent two men to fix the situation within a couple of hours. I slept well the next four nights. Thank you My husband also loved the hot tub and used it often. I loved the pool as well. We used both on a daily basis. I also loved how close it is to the festival, enjoying the plays and will return often.

The staff was exceptional in their helpful and positive attitude. Check in was great, we had a small issue with our TV and the front desk guy came right over and took care of it. The breakfast service was terrific and the property also looks very well maintained. My husband and I had a very restful and relaxing stay at Abbey Inn.

We received a warm welcome, and they were able to give us an early check-in. This was excellent for going to see some of the plays at theShakespearean Festival. Breakfast was tasty and convenient. We had other good dining nearby.

On our latest trip to the Shakespeare Festival, we checked out the venerable Abbey Inn. There are only a couple of things I’d change. The hotel is about a mile from the festival (farther than I remembered) and that stretch of 200 North isn’t the most walkable, especially on a hot day, so you’ll most likely want to drive (on the plus side, free parking abounds at the festival). Also, the sink/vanity, toilet and shower are all in the same room, which can be mildly inconvenient for families. Everything else was great. The room and breakfast house were very clean despite ongoing construction on the south end of the hotel. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the breakfast offerings were decent and well-stocked.

Abbey Inn was excellent all around. The staff at reception and in the dining room house were friendly, immaculate and great food choices. I rated down the condition because I tripped and jarred my body and scraped my wrist trying to grab the brick wall by the dining house. It was apparent that the uneven sidewalk had previously been repaired but it continued to be a very bad trip hazard. We took a photo and showed it to the desk clerk and she said she would let the manager know.
