Probably our favorite stay during our time in Croatia! A stone's throw away from the beach, and perfect walking distance not only too some great restaurants, but also old town/city center is only 10 minutes maximum! Amazing swimming and beach area in the backyard, along with a couple beach-side bars. We loved it so much, we wound up getting engaged at the imperial fountain just down the beach! Can't recommend this place enough, amazing rooms with spacious bathrooms, great poolbar area and incredible food. Love you Kolovare, see you again soon! <3

I liked the swimming pool & bar, the breakfast service, the staff (very friendly & helpfull). I would definitly recommend hotel Kolovare to others, and would stay there again when visiting Zadar again.

The most important thing to me about a hotel is the bed. My bed was extremely uncomfortable - springs poking at me. The thermostat is not controllable from the room. It’s controlled by reception. It was very warm, and by the time it was resolved, it was check out time. There’s more that was wrong, but I’ll stop here. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and the pool was nice.

The hotel has a great location, and the service was good. What was disappointing is that the shower stall had mold in the corners. The pool is also a bit small for so many people, and there is no one to control the “reserving” of chairs with towels. Guests just leave their towels on the chairs and leave, so when I wanted to sit and enjoy the pool, all the chairs had towels on them even though there were only a few people actually in the pool. The pool bar could also offer some snacks, like French fries or something quick to eat. Breakfast was also crowded, with many guests and only two coffee machines that ran out very quickly. There should be at least four coffee machines to avoid such long lines. Check-in and check-out were easy.

Great location - only 10mins walk to the old town. The hotel style was obviously built in 70’s/80’s but looks to have been recently refurbished. Plenty of loungers around the pool and access to the beach. Pool Towels provided which is great if travelling light as well as toiletries in bathroom. Room size is fine though the sliding door between en-suite is a bit heavy. In the bathroom the shower is over the bath which is quite a deep step into and could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues but I stayed in a 5* hotel recently in the old town which was just the same. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dining room is functional and clean. Good choice at buffet breakfast - continental, hot, breads, pastries, fruit. Overall excellent value for money and I would stay again

Aangenaam, rustig hotel met directe ligging aan het strand met verschillende strandbars. 20minuutjes wandelen naar de oude stad. Ontbijt en netheid van het hotel is prima. Zwembadwater heel aangenaam en zuiver maar het zwembad zelf is oud en heeft dringend een opknapbeurt nodig. Handdoek service is goed geregeld. Je neemt aan het zwembad zoveel handdoeken als je wil en kan ze steeds omwisselen.

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. It has good bones and nice balconies, but it is a property that has not been kept up. It is not what travelers have come to expect from Croatia. It is in need of a deep cleaning and spruce up. The furniture in the lobby was dirty. They need to replace all the artificial plants with real plants. The carpet in the room was filthy and the edges of the carpeting is coming undone. There were marks and dirt all over the walls in the room and hair on the bed. The restaurant feels more like a cafeteria. One good thing is the pool area. Very nice.

Ett väldigt bra och prisvärt hotel. Rummen var stora och rena, personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam och läget direkt vid stranden var fantastiskt. Hotellet var stort, fräscht och poolområdet var trevligt. Direkt över gatan fanns stranden och det tog cirka 15 min att promenera bort till gamla stan. Hade gärna åkt tillbaka igen.

Good location for beach - shame pool wasn’t open yet as weather (for Brits at least) is definitely hot enough! Room was a great size and comfy bed. Toilet was a little temperamental with flushing. When needed anything staff were helpful. Unfortunately, the heating was on / controlled by hotel - it was so hot in room and the reception said there was nothing they could do. Constant 22 degrees in room during night so would have to wake up to open door for some air.

The Hotel Kolovare is not a 4 star hotel, its 2 1/2 stars at best. The room cost was way overpriced to way we received. While the hotel is quiet and the staff are great, it does not outweigh that the room we had was quite small, the lighting was poor and the beds were old and need of replacing.

Caution: there is no air conditioner control in the room! If we want the temperature to change we have the ask in the reception. The control in the room only works for turning on or off. Also it never goes below 22°C, although it shows 20. So if you like to change temperatures along the day or for the night, go somewhere else. The hotel is very well located, in front of a beautiful beach, also a nice place to see the famous sunset (the beach). 1,5Km from downtown, so it is walkable. Breakfast is complete, but with only one coffee machine, there is always a line and it can take a while until you get your coffee. There was no coffee machine or free water in the room, no conditioner for the hair (only shampoo, that made my hair strange). The staff was nice, and tried to help with the room temperature, but there is not much they can do if the service itself is not available.

Stor besvikelse! Inte 4 utan snarare 2 stjärnor och inte värt pengarna. Smutsigt på rummet, varmt, fläkt med matos utanför balkongen som gör att man inte vill öppna för att vädra, fuktskador i duschen. De stängde av vattnet en natt för att laga rör utan att informera. Personalen i reception och för städning var inte serviceminded endast personalen vid poolbaren. Det som dock är bra är läget, väldigt nära havet, gåavstånd till staden, frukosten och poolen är okej, solsängarna och parasoll bra. Det finns även parkering i nära anslutning till entrén.
Stor besvikelse! Inte 4 utan snarare 2 stjärnor och inte värt pengarna. Smutsigt på rummet, varmt, fläkt med matos utanför balkongen som gör att man inte vill öppna för att vädra, fuktskador i duschen. De stängde av vattnet en natt för att laga rör utan att informera. Personalen i reception och för städning var inte serviceminded endast personalen vid poolbaren. Det som dock är bra är läget, väldigt nära havet, gåavstånd till staden, frukosten och poolen är okej, solsängarna och parasoll bra. Det finns även parkering i nära anslutning till entrén.

Good beach location. Nearby Fontana restaurant provides quality dining options albeit a bit on the pricey side. Old Town about 17 min walk. WiFi was spotty in our room first three days, I had to use a hotel office in lobby for work meeting to ensure a good connection: But staff very helpful and kind from check in staff to cleaning staff.

Ett väldigt bra och prisvärt hotel. Rummen var stora och rena, personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam och läget direkt vid stranden var fantastiskt. Hotellet var stort, fräscht och poolområdet var trevligt. Direkt över gatan fanns stranden och det tog cirka 15 min att promenera bort till gamla stan. Hade gärna åkt tillbaka igen.

Guests just leave their towels on the chairs and leave, so when I wanted to sit and enjoy the pool, all the chairs had towels on them even though there were only a few people actually in the pool. The pool bar could also offer some snacks, like French fries or something quick to eat. Breakfast was also crowded, with many guests and only two coffee machines that ran out very quickly. There should be at least four coffee machines to avoid such long lines. Check-in and check-out were easy.

Probably our favorite stay during our time in Croatia! A stone's throw away from the beach, and perfect walking distance not only too some great restaurants, but also old town/city center is only 10 minutes maximum! Amazing swimming and beach area in the backyard, along with a couple beach-side bars. We loved it so much, we wound up getting engaged at the imperial fountain just down the beach! Can't recommend this place enough, amazing rooms with spacious bathrooms, great poolbar area and incredible food. Love you Kolovare, see you again soon! <3

Great location - only 10mins walk to the old town. The hotel style was obviously built in 70’s/80’s but looks to have been recently refurbished. Plenty of loungers around the pool and access to the beach. Pool Towels provided which is great if travelling light as well as toiletries in bathroom. Room size is fine though the sliding door between en-suite is a bit heavy. In the bathroom the shower is over the bath which is quite a deep step into and could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues but I stayed in a 5* hotel recently in the old town which was just the same. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dining room is functional and clean. Good choice at buffet breakfast - continental, hot, breads, pastries, fruit. Overall excellent value for money and I would stay again

Front desk crew Dom, Filip, Adriana, Mariana n Dejan were simply great n very helpful n approachable. Good employees are an asset n certainly this team I personally came across certainly need special mention. BTW please have a proper footpath for guests to exit from the car park. I was squeezing past the exit gantry after my husband when a car did not wait n went through it n the gantry pole lifted up n hitting me on my chin. Driver stopped but decided to drive off. Needless to say I was in pain. So please do have a proper pathway for guests to walk on instead of squeezing our way in between the gantry barriers It’s a safety issue here. Thanks .
