All inclusive actually means everything is included (even 24/7 room service), so we were extremely happy with everything. The kids and teen clubs/activities were amazing to provide my wife and I some alone time while the kids enjoyed time with new friends. The area is extremely safe, and there are running lanes on the street for those who want to go for a morning run before starting their day at the pool side or beach. The waves are awesome for anyone who surfs/boogie boards. The concierge service was incredible and personally ensured we were set for all dinner reservations and events. The gym had everything you need with plenty of machines and free weights! Definitely check out Frida's restaurant and partake in the guacamole with the traditional Mexican proteins :-)

This resort was amazing. It has 3 beautiful swimming pools right by the beach. The room was large and spacious. The activities were great as well. Beach volleyball with Carlos and Sherry was awesome ! The whole family also enjoyed the water aerobics, yoga and Pilates! We highly recommend it. It costs a pretty penny, but it’s so worth it. And to top it up, they had an amazing kids club, where our 7 year old spend a good amount of time (at his request) - and it was not all video games and screen time. The dining options were great as well. By far, our favorite was the Mexican restaurant, Frida.

The staff is the reason this property is highly rated. Restaurants have beautiful decor. A lot of delicious Food varieties. Daily activities were fun. Pool was clean. Property was clean and safe. Although walls between the rooms could be thicker lol as we heard what neighbors were doing at nights.

The resort is beautiful and well laid out with 4 different restaurants. All of the restaurants are nice and have their own vibes. Lucca was our favourite, the truffle mushroom soup is amazing. Checking in with Mario was easy and efficient. He gives you his number so staying in contact with him is very easy. Djego services the pool area and works really hard all day bringing food and drinks. Carlos at beach volleyball was fun to play with. All the hostess ladies at restaurants and the main buffet area were very sweet. Spyder, the magician, is fun to watch and you can find him roaming around the resort. We tried to tip as many people as we could and even the smallest amounts were well received, even the smallest of amounts. Overall, you won’t be disappointed. All of the rooms are nice and spacious they are cleaned well 2x a day. Everyone on the resort is kind and thoughtful, the spa was great, the service and performances were solid. Some things that could have made the experience better- more Spanish/local music. We understand the resort caters to Americans but hearing different covers of the same American songs does not let the beautiful Mexican culture come through. We wanted to immerse ourselves more in the culture. It would be nice if there was more shaded coverage at peak sun hours instead of just umbrellas by the pool (could use more of these). The music at the kids camp section is right behind the adults only area so it’s a bit loud

The only bummer was they were doing some work on the property so strong paint odors and drilling noise but, it is the off season so I figured.

This was our second time staying at a Grand Velas resort—our first being at Riviera Maya—and once again, the experience was outstanding. The Riviera Nayarit location offered everything we expected from Grand Velas: top-notch service, immaculate rooms, excellent food, and a truly beautiful resort atmosphere. The concierge service was attentive, and room service and cleaning staff exceeded expectations. Compared to the Riviera Maya property, there were slightly fewer restaurant options, but the quality of the dining experiences remained very high. The only downside of our trip was the private Suburban round-trip transfer arranged through the resort, which cost $245 USD. The ride from the airport to the resort was excellent—the driver was friendly, professional, and offered the promised drinks. However, the return trip to the airport was a stark contrast. The driver was visibly irritated, swore while handling our luggage, didn’t offer any drinks, and was dismissive when tipped. He even laughed when I handed him a small tip, which was incredibly unprofessional and disappointing, especially considering the premium price paid for the service. Overall, our stay at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit was exceptional, and we would definitely return. Just be cautious when booking private transportation through the resort—it might not always match the resort’s high standards.

It's small but I was surprised that the bathroom tub had its door practically falling off the hinges. It was an eye sore but I didn't report it as we had already settled in. The buffet quality was bland so we preferred having breakfast brought to our room and lunch pool side. Restaurants for dinner were excellent. SenLin was by far our favorite. My husband commented that it was odd not to eat tacos at the hotel considering we were in Mexico. We tried a couple tacos at lunch and dinner at Frida but they were nothing like the amazing street tacos that we get in California- and there are so many good taco venues downtown PVR. We thoroughly enjoyed beach volleyball with Cheri, Mariano, and Carlos. It was sweet of Ever to come up to me and say he remembered me from having been there before. Marco was our concierge and he always checked in to see how we were doing. I only wish for the best for the amazing staff at the hotel. My only suggestion is to allow 4 adults to be in a room with 2 queen beds. One of our sons had to stay home because if we were to bring him, the hotel said we would have had to book a second room- which would have almost doubled the cost of just the hotel booking alone. We're all under 5'3" if that makes any difference...but it's pretty common practice for hotels to allow up to 4 adults in a hotel room. The 2Q suite allowed a 4th only if the 4th was a child.

One of our sons had to stay home because if we were to bring him, the hotel said we would have had to book a second room- which would have almost doubled the cost of just the hotel booking alone. We're all under 5'3" if that makes any difference...but it's pretty common practice for hotels to allow up to 4 adults in a hotel room. The 2Q suite allowed a 4th only if the 4th was a child.

Amazing staff, great restaurants. But our room had several issues popping up throughout our stay which maintenance was able to fix. Felt odd that a luxurious resort should have so many in-room issues. Our concierge Dulce was amazing and very helpful throughout our stay in dealing with all the issues

We could not have asked for a better experience. The staff at Grand Velas were amazing!! Beautiful resort and accommodations. We ate at all 4 restaurants (Mexican, French, Asian and Italian) anong with the buffet and bar restaurants. Delicious food and plenty of options. Only 20 minutes from the airport.

This property is beautiful. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Our room was great and the bed very comfortable. The pool area is great! The spa was my favorite…the whole experience from beginning to end was fantastic…I’d highly recommend Shanti for your massage. The food was delicious. It was fun seeing all the iguanas. The only bummer was they were doing some work on the property so strong paint odors and drilling noise but, it is the off season so I figured.

This was our second time staying at a Grand Velas resort—our first being at Riviera Maya—and once again, the experience was outstanding. The Riviera Nayarit location offered everything we expected from Grand Velas: top-notch service, immaculate rooms, excellent food, and a truly beautiful resort atmosphere. The concierge service was attentive, and room service and cleaning staff exceeded expectations. Compared to the Riviera Maya property, there were slightly fewer restaurant options, but the quality of the dining experiences remained very high. The only downside of our trip was the private Suburban round-trip transfer arranged through the resort, which cost $245 USD. The ride from the airport to the resort was excellent—the driver was friendly, professional, and offered the promised drinks. However, the return trip to the airport was a stark contrast. The driver was visibly irritated, swore while handling our luggage, didn’t offer any drinks, and was dismissive when tipped. He even laughed when I handed him a small tip, which was incredibly unprofessional and disappointing, especially considering the premium price paid for the service. Overall, our stay at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit was exceptional, and we would definitely return. Just be cautious when booking private transportation through the resort—it might not always match the resort’s high standards.

Definitely paid a premium. But they definitely made it worth it. There was someone constantly asking us if we needed something. Drinks were a little weak, Restaurant reservation was a bit annoying, but they did reach out to you to make sure you have a reservation. Definitely get what you paid for type of experience. We would stay here again for sure. Family of four, two kids under 10, we stayed a week before Thanksgiving and felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

This resort was amazing. It has 3 beautiful swimming pools right by the beach. The room was large and spacious. The activities were great as well. Beach volleyball with Carlos and Sherry was awesome ! The whole family also enjoyed the water aerobics, yoga and Pilates! We highly recommend it. It costs a pretty penny, but it’s so worth it. And to top it up, they had an amazing kids club, where our 7 year old spend a good amount of time (at his request) - and it was not all video games and screen time. The dining options were great as well. By far, our favorite was the Mexican restaurant, Frida.

The resort is beautiful and well laid out with 4 different restaurants. All of the restaurants are nice and have their own vibes. Lucca was our favourite, the truffle mushroom soup is amazing. Checking in with Mario was easy and efficient. He gives you his number so staying in contact with him is very easy. Djego services the pool area and works really hard all day bringing food and drinks. Carlos at beach volleyball was fun to play with. All the hostess ladies at restaurants and the main buffet area were very sweet. Spyder, the magician, is fun to watch and you can find him roaming around the resort. We tried to tip as many people as we could and even the smallest amounts were well received, even the smallest of amounts. Overall, you won’t be disappointed. All of the rooms are nice and spacious they are cleaned well 2x a day. Everyone on the resort is kind and thoughtful, the spa was great, the service and performances were solid. Some things that could have made the experience better- more Spanish/local music. We understand the resort caters to Americans but hearing different covers of the same American songs does not let the beautiful Mexican culture come through. We wanted to immerse ourselves more in the culture. It would be nice if there was more shaded coverage at peak sun hours instead of just umbrellas by the pool (could use more of these). The music at the kids camp section is right behind the adults only area so it’s a bit loud

We stayed here for 3 nights. We had come 10 years prior and had a great experience. The staff was still very nice and attentive. The resort was well kept and everything was ok until the last night. We had enjoyed eating at Azul for breakfasts and lunches and Frida and Lucca for dinners. We really loved Lucca. The final night on July 18 we went to try the french restaurant Piaf. The food was not good. My daughter ordered a beef tenderloin and the meet was so hard she couldn’t even cut it. Nothing tender about it. My husband left quickly in the middle of the meal and got sick. The next morning we all had stomach aches. My daughter was sick on the flight back home and still trying to recover. We all got food poisoning. I would suggest staying away from this restaurant. The ambiance was also super serious and unfriendly. There were maybe two other tables and the rest was empty. The waiter was pushy and brought me an ipad to leave a review. At that point I left a good review as I was rushed and was trying to be nice. I am taking back now. And bringing an ipad to the table is rude. I hope they change their practices there so no one else gets sick. Other than that everything was good but the food poisoning ruined our trip.

The waiter was pushy and brought me an ipad to leave a review. At that point I left a good review as I was rushed and was trying to be nice. I am taking back now. And bringing an ipad to the table is rude. I hope they change their practices there so no one else gets sick. Other than that everything was good but the food poisoning ruined our trip.

From the moment you arrive at the hotel reception, the entire staff is ready to make you feel at home. Salvador, one of the concierges, explains in detail how the hotel operates. It has four exquisite themed restaurants, the service is impeccable, and the food is exquisite. Francisco Villa, the assistant food and beverage manager, is a wonderful person, friendly, and very professional. The team at the adult pool bar—Jose, Valentin, Patricia, Freddy, and Gilberto—are the best in their profession. This hotel is all-inclusive, with first-class food, as are the wines and spirits they offer, the cocktails are wonderful, and the spa is fantastic. This is a unique experience of very high quality and excellent service. The rooms are modern and spotless, and the Azul restaurant, which serves Mexican cuisine for all day dining, offers an incredible variety. I highly recommend it!

This is our second time visiting and brought friends with. We absolutely love it. Omar is the best bartender ever anything he makes is absolutely delicious. We also love Jose and Valentin and anybody at the swim up bar. Kenia has been our pool lounge server since last year when we visited. Excellent service and attention to detail. Gabriela was our concierge and she was amazing. Jesus in the front always eager to help and always making sure we were okay. In all honesty everyone that works at grand Velas riviera Nayarit goes above and beyond with wonderful work ethic, friendliness and immaculate attention to detail. We feel extremely safe and cared for here. We honestly can’t ask for anything better. We definitely enjoyed our second time here and look forward to our next time. Please make sure to tip your bartenders, servers, housekeeping in the morning and for turn down service. They deserve it!!!
