My family stayed at Marival Emotions for a week (including 2 kids and 2 grandparents). The staff was phenomenal and were happy to help us with our Spanish! The kids club was excellent and included time at the beach and the pool. There were lots of activities including ping pong, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard, etc. The food was decent with lots of options including a kids buffet. We loved our week there and would go back!

Me gustó el ambiente familiar, la comodidad de las instalaciones, calidad de los alimentos y los shows nocturnos. No me gustó que el penúltimo día cerraron la alberca grande con motivos de mantenimiento donde concurría la mayoría de la gente lo que hizo que se concentrara en una sola alberca. Entiendo el objetivo pero considero que debió haberse avisado desde el inicio de la estancia.

We had the best time with our family at Marival. Our 9 and 6 year old thought it was a really fun place to visit. The multiple pools were great and the convenience of the beach being right there was perfect. Lots of great food options for the whole family and there was always something to do or see. Overall we really enjoyed our time at this resort and if you have kids it’s a great place to visit.

Was there 3 nights. Was put in the 19th floor, then a few hours later both elevators to the building stopped working, while having to deal with a stroller. Some staff seem like they hate working there, no greeting, no drink or food offers. Pool bar closes before 7pm. Needs a major overhaul.

This is our family’s honest review of Marival Emotions, intended to share details that may not be clear in other reviews. As former Riu guests, we found the food and rooms to be average, despite the resort advertising itself as a 5-star luxury property. Compared to similar resorts, the experience did not meet that standard. Check-In: What was presented as a quick check-in turned into a disguised sales pitch for a 90-minute presentation, despite assurances it was not timeshare-related. The process felt misleading and pushy. They were so focused on signing us up that they failed to mention the kids’ snack bar, which we only learned about at checkout. Food & Dining: Limited buffet: no avocados, guacamole, or nut options. Pizza quality was good but inconsistent due to understaffing. No poolside or beachside food or drink service, which was especially inconvenient while traveling with a 2-year-old. Pools & Beach: The heated kids’ pool is nice, and the beach is excellent for families, calm, sandy, and shallow. Rooms: Our Club Room was clean but basic. The minibar was minimal, housekeeping did not consistently restock coffee, and water pressure was inconsistent. The mattress and bedding were uncomfortable, though the pillows were good. Comparison: We visited Friendly Fun Vallarta during the same dates for much less money and found the food, poolside BBQ, and beach service far superior. Overall: In our view, this is a 3-star hotel at best with impressive grounds.

The property is very nice. Food, staff are average. They start blasting party music at 11am over the pool which made it feel much less high end. Everyone was reserving sunbeds with towls without being in the pool. Very annoying. And i found the area around the pool needed cleaning throughout the day, but there was noone. Cups everywhere, dropped food, animal feces...

Great 4 night stay in PVR for the family. Beach and pools were really nice. Food and entertainment were good but we were craving a bit more variety by the end. Super helpful and friendly staff. Loved the mojito stand by the beach.

This is a fairly big, family friendly resort, i liked that there was an adult only pool, we spent a lot of time there. I did several spin, yoga and Pilates classes with visiting instructors from NRGtogo, the two i had were both great. Our first room was terrible, damp with lots of condensation on the windows, we were eventually moved to a room in the opposite building, which was fine, with functioning ac and no dampness issues. We found the food to be very good. The staff/servers work incredibly hard in the restaurants, all were attentive. The Italian restaurant was probably our favourite. The restaurant reservation system leaves a lot to be desired. You need to get up early and get in line for reservations and it’s a bit chaotic. It was nice to have the Pergola open for breakfast on the weekends, the last time i was at the resort, Pergola was open every morning for al la carte breakfast. They are continuing to do renovations to the resort, the main lobby and bar will be nice when complete. Overall, great spot, walkable beach, good food/drinks, service, heated pools. We will be back.

This resort was beautiful, we were skeptical when we read other reviews but we were very happy with everything, the staff was awesome and very willing to help in every way they could. The Grand room we had was very clean and had a very nice view of the courtyard. Yes this resort is kid friendly however this did not affect how our trip went at all. The food was quite good despite the reviews being not great. We very much enjoyed the Las Palomas and Amalfi specialty restaurants for dinner. The Casa Bella buffet had a very good assortment for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well. If we were craving a snack on the beach, La Bamba was the place to go, great Hamburgers and hot dogs with great side choices. The only thing foodwise that did not live up to our expectations was the Piazzetta dei Forni restaurant. The crust tasted cheaper and they put cut up hotdogs on some of them. Just for people looking at all of the different restaurants, if you book the all inclusive package, you do not have access to Mai Tai and Capriccio as they are for owners/VIP members. Everywhere else is free to eat at. Note to book at one of the specialty restaurants you need to wake up early and book them. All of the bars and swim up bars were amazing and had a different drinks of the day every day. The bartenders were very friendly and willing to make anything requested. Our trip was great and we have next to no complaints about Marival Emotions, would recommend to anybody with or without kids.

Me salió una cucaracha en el arroz el primer día, fue muy desagradable. El servicio en general es lento en los restaurantes y la comida no es la más rica, el cuarto no estaba muy limpio. Las almohadas tenían olor a humedad y el ventilador estaba lleno de polvo, pedimos que lo limpiaran y lo hicieron. La barra de la alberca cierra temprano (a las 6 de la tarde). El check in es muy lento, se entiende que hay mucha gente pero aún así es demasiado lento. Creo que no volveremos.

The property overall was kept very clean and bartenders were doing the best what with they had . They were short staffed, buffet areas needed more attention. The servers in the buffet areas were not attentive or just standing around counting tips instead of waiting on customers. I had to get up and get my own drinks at least on 3 different occasions. Big resort but wasn’t staffed properly when cruise liners show up and use the property’s , leaving hotel patrons waiting for drinks by the pool areas . Members of the hotels also noticed service to patrons had gone done significantly. I probably would not come to any resorts of Marival in the future!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The staff, and service were the highlight, as well as how clean it was kept. The room was slightly cramped and dated, but the cleanliness of the room most definitely made up for the that. Our kids absolutely loved the waterpark, and we would probably come back because of that, and how clean the resort was for those things alone. It was also nice that the buffet had a table of kid friendly foods, very handy for our toddlers.

Checking is at 3pm but we had to wait till 4pm to get our room. Room was clean except for some gum residue in one of the decor bed sheets. Sink faucet was very loose and wiggly with water stains. Had no sink or shower water for some time. Shower and toilet glass doors had no latches and won’t stay close. Some construction going on here and there without much safety protocols, like welding at the main lobby without any protection not even the operator. Loose electrical cords and tools in the floor. Broken and loose floor tiles right outside the restaurant located under the main lobby. Floor tiles would shift or move once stepping on them. Things you wouldn’t spect at a five star hotel. Personal was nice but you have to tip often or your drink will take for ever or won’t show up. Ran out of change to tip and the only place to get change was at the main lobby in which I had to wait about 30 minutes for someone to help me. Personal at kids pool just sat down and chill instead of managing the pool. Small blue pool tiles also coming off, my kid collected 5 of them. The place it self is nice and had a good time, but not as advertised.

It’s has its good and its bad . The good part for us was the food was good , a lot of options to eat at all times and it’s all good . The staff is all really nice every where you go . The bad part for us was in the room that was given to us . The bathrooms are no actual room the have a see thru glass door that divides shower and toilet if you go with kids it’s just weird because you can see everything . The second bad part of the room was that the ceiling fan worked but it made the worst noise when it was one . So we never had it on . The pool it’s not its cleanest . The last part if they offer you to go see there property they tell you it’s only 1 hour and 30min , they take 3hours from your day .

This is a fairly big, family friendly resort, i liked that there was an adult only pool, we spent a lot of time there. I did several spin, yoga and Pilates classes with visiting instructors from NRGtogo, the two i had were both great. Our first room was terrible, damp with lots of condensation on the windows, we were eventually moved to a room in the opposite building, which was fine, with functioning ac and no dampness issues. We found the food to be very good. The staff/servers work incredibly hard in the restaurants, all were attentive. The Italian restaurant was probably our favourite. The restaurant reservation system leaves a lot to be desired. You need to get up early and get in line for reservations and it’s a bit chaotic. It was nice to have the Pergola open for breakfast on the weekends, the last time i was at the resort, Pergola was open every morning for al la carte breakfast. They are continuing to do renovations to the resort, the main lobby and bar will be nice when complete. Overall, great spot, walkable beach, good food/drinks, service, heated pools. We will be back.

We loved our stay at the Marvel and the food and restaurants and pools are amazing but the room on the suite complex was old and needs to be updated. The bed was horrible as it was rock hard. When we had made our reservations 3 months before, we asked for 2 rooms together (So our grandkids could come back and forth) but that didn’t happen. Matter of a fact, they weren’t even in the same building. That made me really mad as I had requested 3 different times to get this to. 1 by phone and 2 by email but still they didn’t fill our request. I would definitely go back

We had a great time as a family. The entire staff at the hotel delivers excellent service. The food is good at every single restaurant. The beach is really pretty and good for swimming. The hotel is older, and the bedrooms are too. That’s the only area for improvement I would suggest. In general, we all had a great time.

This resort was overall pretty good, a little dated and lots of stairs for rooms on upper floors as there was no elevators. Being close to the beach and having lots of options for kids made it a great place to spend a week. We enjoyed our stay.

The overall ambiance was great. The wait staff and bartenders were outstanding! The hotel service was a little lacking. I called a couple of times for items and they would take a long time to deliver. On several days, our rooms weren’t cleaned until late afternoon. As I was sitting in the lobby throughout my stay, I noticed new guests were greeted very differently than us. We weren’t given full explanation about restaurants, events, and other resort procedures. We were just given our cards and bracelets and told we had to return them at the end of our stay. I would’ve also liked more breakfast options.

This is our family’s honest review of Marival Emotions, intended to share details that may not be clear in other reviews. As former Riu guests, we found the food and rooms to be average, despite the resort advertising itself as a 5-star luxury property. Compared to similar resorts, the experience did not meet that standard. Check-In: What was presented as a quick check-in turned into a disguised sales pitch for a 90-minute presentation, despite assurances it was not timeshare-related. The process felt misleading and pushy. They were so focused on signing us up that they failed to mention the kids’ snack bar, which we only learned about at checkout. Food & Dining: Limited buffet: no avocados, guacamole, or nut options. Pizza quality was good but inconsistent due to understaffing. No poolside or beachside food or drink service, which was especially inconvenient while traveling with a 2-year-old. Pools & Beach: The heated kids’ pool is nice, and the beach is excellent for families, calm, sandy, and shallow. Rooms: Our Club Room was clean but basic. They were also not straightforward about it when we asked a couple of days in advance, very dismissive in the information they offered. They could have given us much better information at the "welcome" info session as well, when their main goal was to convince us to attend some sale pitch the next day. They wasted 30 minutes of our time and didn't even end up poiting us to the right direction to our room. Good stay overall and it's a shame that they risk their reputation with small details like this. Don't think we'll be going back.

Check-in took over 45 minutes with staff who seemed overwhelmed and unfriendly, followed by a very pushy membership sales pitch insisting everything is “basic” unless you upgrade. Although we arrived at 3:00 PM, we didn’t receive a room until after 9:00 PM. The first room assigned was still dirty from the previous guest, causing further delays. The resort felt overcrowded, the mattresses were old and uncomfortable, and noise levels were consistently high due to loud pool music and a wedding on the property. The photos on the website do not match the current condition of the resort. The property looks worn and outdated, as if the pictures were taken many years ago. Food was just okay. The employees are great especially in the restaurants. They were very attentive and friendly. The food was also really good. The only thing that we didn’t like was the check in/out process and the personnel. At the check in, they pressure you into a time share sales pitch, and then when we needed help with our rooms, they weren’t very kind at all. We booked two rooms, and the rooms they gave us were far from each other. When I asked for closer rooms, as we wanted to be closer to our kids, we were told there were none. After speaking with a couple of attendants, someone was able to make the changes. They had closer rooms all along, we just had to beg for them. All in all, the experience was great. The beach was somewhat limited because of a migration of poisonous stingrays :)! We still had fun watching them.

Although this property is older they have done a great job of maintaining it. Close to the airport, shopping a 15 mins walk away, staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurants were pretty good and so was the buffet. They have theme nights most nights which was fun for a week stay. If I was staying longer would have explored more local restaurants. All the rooms in the two main buildings have ocean views and very clean. They could do better at explaining what is open when and the reservations for the restaurant is not the best. The only other thing I could point out is that they do not have a scale and that would have been helpful. Overall a great little hotel and great for families and people who want a quieter resort.

This place is advertised close to airport, it’s an hour drive. When arrived we waited in line over an hour and was repeatedly bothered by staff about switching hotels due to them overbooking. We asked many questions about the other resort armony and was told great things. We caved due to the crazy wait and over crowding. When arrived at other resort everything we were told was a lie. Armony is not a family resort, just because you have a kids menu doesn’t make you one. Nothing for kids to do the entertainment is a joke because there really isn’t any. There is one sit restaurant open a day or you get buffet and it’s the same two places just rotated every other day. The staff were rude, the rooms smelled bad, and the food was ok. They wanted to clean rooms after 4pm which is insane so we never got our room clean because with kids we ate early and were getting ready around the time they decided to show. I was told both places are a joke by another couple so either way we would have been screwed. I would mark this up as the biggest waste of money.

Marival is a large nice resort that’s perfect for families with little ones. The property and rooms are kept clean. We had a beautiful view and enjoyed the convenience of all-inclusive, especially because we have a toddler. The food was average compared to the all-inclusive we stayed at in Cabo (PB Rose). Drinks were delicious and staff was friendly. Pools are nice and big with fast service at the swim up bar. It was nice and quiet at night which was nice because our little one fell asleep early all week. Cons: Check in took long, only pizza available after 10 pm, and no poolside food service or beach service available. I was under the impression drinks/food would be available on the beach.

This resorts location is great. They provide bikes that can be used in the run/bike trail. The beach is clean and offers multiple full massages for a low price. The pool is great and relaxing, but also offers fantastic entertainment. Would love to stay here again.

This resort did not meet my expectations, especially food options. It was impossible to reserve a restaurant for dinner and we had to call the manager to give us reservations. The staff at reservations is terrible, not helpful and borderline rude. The food in the buffet was bad, no variety, just the same very spicy Mexican dishes all the time. Terrible coffee and very annoying service where you put the plate on the table and they almost immediately take it without even asking if you are finished with the meal. Will not be coming back to this resort.

Checkin was smooth. Food at all restaurants was good. Special attention paid to grounds and maintaining property in good condition. Housekeeping also good. The only negative thing about our trip was the pushy Timeshare people. They were rude and obnoxious. Other than those timeshare people the whole trip was good and our family enjoyed quite a bit. Pizza restaurant and Italian restaurant were the best. Kids loved the Pizza place as it was open till midnight.

Overall, below average for all-inclusive hotels I have been to in the last 20 years. It’s clean and the rooms were clean with comfortable beddings. Problems: 1. Staffs were hit and miss. Some are nice but some are rude 2. We had a leaky toilet we reported the first day. No one came out to address the issue. 3. Shower water pressure was horrible, from all three bathrooms we had. 4. Never had a hot shower. No hot or even warm water came out of our faucets/showers. 5. Timeshare marketing. Please stop, no one wants to spend two hours of their valuable time while on a vacation 6. We went to the buffet every day, and they offered the same food every day. Very limited menu. Good: 1. Comfortable beddings 2. Good sound proof room even being right next to the pool Conclusion: I don’t think I will stay there again and can’t recommend it to anyone I know. The hotel has no color or flavor. Nothing memorable, just a good hotel to sleep in.

This is our family’s honest review of Marival Emotions, intended to share details that may not be clear in other reviews. As former Riu guests, we found the food and rooms to be average, despite the resort advertising itself as a 5-star luxury property. Compared to similar resorts, the experience did not meet that standard. Check-In: What was presented as a quick check-in turned into a disguised sales pitch for a 90-minute presentation, despite assurances it was not timeshare-related. The process felt misleading and pushy. They were so focused on signing us up that they failed to mention the kids’ snack bar, which we only learned about at checkout. Food & Dining: Limited buffet: no avocados, guacamole, or nut options. Pizza quality was good but inconsistent due to understaffing. No poolside or beachside food or drink service, which was especially inconvenient while traveling with a 2-year-old. Pools & Beach: The heated kids’ pool is nice, and the beach is excellent for families, calm, sandy, and shallow. Rooms: Our Club Room was clean but basic. The minibar was minimal, housekeeping did not consistently restock coffee, and water pressure was inconsistent. The mattress and bedding were uncomfortable, though the pillows were good. Comparison: We visited Friendly Fun Vallarta during the same dates for much less money and found the food, poolside BBQ, and beach service far superior. Overall: In our view, this is a 3-star hotel at best with impressive grounds.

Marival is a large nice resort that’s perfect for families with little ones. The property and rooms are kept clean. We had a beautiful view and enjoyed the convenience of all-inclusive, especially because we have a toddler. The food was average compared to the all-inclusive we stayed at in Cabo (PB Rose). Drinks were delicious and staff was friendly. Pools are nice and big with fast service at the swim up bar. It was nice and quiet at night which was nice because our little one fell asleep early all week. Cons: Check in took long, only pizza available after 10 pm, and no poolside food service or beach service available. I was under the impression drinks/food would be available on the beach.

Great 4 night stay in PVR for the family. Beach and pools were really nice. Food and entertainment were good but we were craving a bit more variety by the end. Super helpful and friendly staff. Loved the mojito stand by the beach.

I booked three rooms for six nights in June 2026 for a family trip to celebrate my parents' 50th anniversary. The age range of the group was 3-90, so it was a tall order to find someone for everyone. Marival Emotions really had it all. It was a 15 minute taxi ride from PVR airport. I was expecting a time share presentation push before getting the room keys at check in. It took a little while (maybe 45 minutes?) and we declined, but it was never brought up again, which I appreciated. We booked two suites and one regular room. We all received the king beds we requested (it is a preference, not a guarantee). There was not a big price difference, but the one bedroom suites all have two bathrooms, a living room, a table and chairs, bathrobes, and a door on the bedroom, which can be important for families. They were worth the extra money, in my opinion. My brother had a spectacular view of the ocean and pool from his third floor suite! There are different floor plans and even though I booked two of the same 1BR suites, they were very different layouts in different buildings. My niece had so much fun at the kids club and children's pool. The staff was really incredible and took such good care of us. Octavio, the concierge, went above and beyond, especially making sure that my parents' (who have some mobility challenges) were able to get dinner reservations at sit down restaurants. I worked briefly in a 4 star hotel, and Octavio is the most amazing concierge I have ever seen!

Upon arrival they took about 15 mins just to check me in, when there were about 7 staff members standing behind the counters not helping anyone else. Once I was helped they rain a bell and said someone else will finish the check in to give me more information. That person was not available so they finished my check in without completely giving me all the information about the hotel. There were no staff walking around pool or beach area offering drinks or food as other hotels offer. Pool bar always took forever to get drinks. The restaurants by the pool area didn’t let you walk in even with just a little drip of water because of slipping, but the floor was the same all over the hotel, very slippery. I will not be staying here again and this was my 3x in Puerto Vallarta, first time in this hotel.
