Great choice if you are going to an event at the Schottenstein Center. Great shuttle service to and from. The hotel was clean, the staff was so welcoming and friendly. We will definitely stay here again at our next Schottenstein Event.

Did not realize that hotel was under renovations when reservation was made just 2 weeks prior. My daughter and I came for girls teip to visit OSU. Unfortunately pool was also closed which we were looking forward to relaxing in. Staff were less than sympathetic and actually ruse anout it. No contact with staff after check in for 2 wjole days and we were in and out often. No "Hi!" Or anything when you came through the doors. Noise from construction area right outside our window started at 6am one day! Our "newly renovated" room was not complete. No toilet paper holder, half a roll that was in room was on back of toilet. One light had no cover, only lightbulb. We made the best if our stay by doing a lot of outings. Location was good for touring OSU. Next time will stay somewhere else.

The room was nice and clean, but the mini-fridge wasn’t working and all of the elevators were out of service. The staff was very kind and helpful and I’m sure would have addressed the issue with the fridge if I had noticed it earlier and said something. The beds were very firm, which I didn’t mind, but my daughter wasn’t a fan of. Overall, it was adequate and met all of our needs.

The hotel and staff were great until there was a theft at the property where over 10 cars were broken into and items were stolen. Our car was damaged as well. Please park your car in a safe area.

booked reservation on-line not knowing the hotel was under renovation effort. No kleenex in room, no light cover over main room light, 1 of 2 bathroom lights out. Breakfast was mediocre with tasteless bacon. When my wife asked if they had more more Raisin Bran, the lady running breakfast said, "lady, do you see more raisin bran out there?" Bad attitude. Rare overall experience for Fairfield Inn. Worst stay I have experienced over many years. I would renovate the culture along with the building at this location.

In town for the Brandon Lake concert and chose to stay here based on other reviews. The property is easy to find and has a nice sized parking lot. We arrived a little early but the room was ready and the girl that checked us in was so sweet. We used the shuttle service to take us to The Schottenstein Center. The bus was clean and the driver was super friendly. It was really nice to be dropped off and picked up after the concert. (I wish I had checked into that ahead of time because I had paid for parking…oh well, lesson learned. Hopefully by putting it here, it’ll help someone else not make my mistake. lol) The shuttle was free; they work off of gratuity so be courteous ((wink wink)). He even had the option to scan a QR code for cash app or Venmo. So if you’re like me and don’t typically have cash, you’re all set. Overall, this has been a great trip. Would definitely stay here again and recommend the hotel.

Great clean hotel with friendly staff. There’s a free shuttle to OSU events but you could also easily walk which makes it a great location. Just ask for room away from elevators as walls were thin and elevator noise was a bother.

Very old building. Carpet and in toilet constant smell maybe mold or something. Shower tub very slippery. Fell on that on day one. Very limited towel supply, coffee supply. Wouldn’t go back

Our room had an absolutely FOUL smell. Moldy with an underlying scent of animal urine. I cannot believe this hotel charged me over $450 to stay here. Will never ever stay here again. Look at the reviews. I wish I had. So many people reporting stench and foul smells. Avoid!!!

Comfortable beds and pillows. Looks like a new renovation with new carpets and walk-in shower. Would love to see something besides plastic cups to use in the room. Desk clerk at check-in was the nicest young man. Really enjoyed our brief chat. Driveway has a couple of large potholes. Watch out.

Thought it was nice that they had a shuttle to the game. But the breakfast was average, and it was extremely noisy at night. You could hear about everything all around you from the elevator, to other rooms, to doors opening and shutting all around us. The biggest problem was the noise more than anything else. But the staff was great and friendly

However, we had requested a room on the back side, but there was some confusion with the clerk, and we ended up with a room on the front side, right next to the elevator. This proximity to the elevator resulted in a sleepless night. Additionally, there was a bad stench in the fridge. The breakfast was decent, resembling a typical continental breakfast you'd find overall at hotels. The only downside was that the sausages were cold. Despite these issues, I would consider booking again, with a request for a room away from the elevators

I have never been so upset and I have never been rude to anyone at their work but I was disgusted with the way this front desk handled a situation that was their fault. I made the reservation for a king room with a pullout couch over a month in advance of our trip. When we arrived it was later at night and we were exhausted. There was no pull out couch and nowhere for either of my kids to sleep! They basically told us, “Too bad,” and we shouldn’t use 3rd party vendors because this happens. We then had to drive back to the city to my daughter’s dorm and when we asked again for some help, they gave us 2 extra pillows and 2 thin blankets to put on the dirty floor for our 15 year old to sleep on. No apologies. We called for over an hour trying to find another hotel to leave and go to but nothing was available. I will never stay in that place again. Horrible customer service and none of us slept. Stayed at the Embassy Suites the next night that was lovely.

When we checked in they key they gave us didn't work. My sister waited outside the room with all of our bags and I went down to get the card rekeyed. When I got back up with the card rekeyed to our room, my sister said someone else went into the room with a working key. I had to go back down and they had to give us another room. They gave us a key for an occupied room. That is concerning.

Very nice, right in University Village, close to everything connected with Ohio State. And easy access to downtown and everything else. Also the pool, gym and other facilities seemed first rate.

We had just arrived to the hotel, checked in and was more than ready to take a break. Unfortunately for us, the elevator broke down and we were stuck. And sadly, stuck with a tired, hungry teething one year old. Four adults stuck in a very warm elevator with a grouchy baby - not fun! The hotel shuttle was great for getting to the concert venue. Breakfast was miserable. The area was staffed by a cranky older lady (shaved head). Numerous kids were wanting waffles and they had removed the batter before the end of the allotted time. When asked if more could be brought out, they got a very nasty, “We’re done with it!” No eggs left, no bread for toast, no yogurt - just gooey oatmeal. Coffee was not just bad - it was awful! The beds were very comfy and, we slept well. It was difficult maintaining a cool temperature. Granddaughter loved the late check out, which allowed her time to spend in the pool! The staff at check in were awesome and very helpful. Overall, a decent stay.

We always stay at this hotel when we come to a OSU game. The staff is great and very friendly and helpful. Only thing that changed was the bar area was not open both evenings when we came back to hotel around 8 pm. we always enjoyed a beer or 2 before going to our room.
