First, they lied about the parking. DO NOT PARK IN THEIR PARKING LOT! There’s a much cheaper option right behind their parking lot. Second, the AC didn’t work. They gave me a second room. Still didn’t work. Then they had a guy from “engineering” come to my room to change the filter. Whoop die do.

The hotel was beautiful, vintage, and comfortable. Would have given it 4 stars across the board, except none of the ice machines on any floor were working. When I called down, the front desk clerk made no offer to help me get some ice, but referred me to the restaurant to ask for help.

I was not informed that there was no parking without additional fees of $40-120. I even asked specifically about the parking and the receptionists was vague and unhelpful.

Old hotel, only 1 working elevator that took forever, room safe remained broken after 4 complaints. Had a several business meetings in the restaurant, service took hours, the second meeting the cook was didn't show up to work and we wasted 40 minutes waiting, the chef refused to serve anyone. Horrible service and unmaintained property.

Price was more than double a traditional stay ($480+) for 1 night, internet did not work which meant I couldnt watch the shows on the streaming channels, and the regular shows were uninteresting, the phone inside the room did not work which meant i had to call the front office via my personal phone for the internet issue that when the maintenance man came is how i found out about the no internet, the staff isnt communicating with eachother so that the guests are informed. Had to pay to park to stay at a place i paid to stay at ($35 a night for parking). I found out there was a wedding event only after i arrived with a non refundable reservation. Definetely will not stay at these hotels in the future and will instead downgrade hotel expectations to avoid.

I booked a room for a staycation for my husband’s birthday. Upon arrival, we were informed by the check in staff that the room wasn’t available but they can book us for a double bed suite. We agreed but I wasn’t notified that it would a significant up charge. The “suite” was extremely out dated and used. We found multiple evidence in the room that confirmed it wasn’t recently cleaned. The tub was dirty and a used bar soap was in the shower. In the lounge area of the suite there was an open trail mix wrapper on the table. The tv glitched the entire night and we were unable to watch any media. Our staycation turned into a nightmare. I would never recommend the Westin to anyone and we will never come back. We stayed the night but as soon as we woke up (early morning) we checked out and went home to enjoy a nice shower and our bed.

It was okay. Yes clean. Conditions were a c+ Holes in sheets, stains on carpet and mold in shower. Thumbs up for pillow and comforter and recycle bins. Desk people were not friendly.

I usually opt for Westins. This one was not good. The person who checked us in clearly did not want to help us at all. Our room definitely seemed like a very rushing cleaning. There were long black hairs all over. (We both have short hair) There was trash in the room and the room was VERY stuffy

The hotel isin need of repair and "deep" clean. Our room smelled horrible, as did the hallways, the shower had mold, the curtains were stained with what looked like tomato sauce, the bed sheets were dirty (black spots and hair), sink lacked pressure and ice machine on floor was broken.

Booked this room for an easy overnight stay as my twelve year old and I would be attending a concert nearby at Nationwide Arena - upon our arrival there was no clear “guidance” on the parking situation, I still left unsure if I was even able to park where I was or if I just got lucky - check in was quick & painless which I’m grateful for - however on our way up to our room, I noticed the incredibly disgusting elevator doors that looks like they haven’t been cleaned in years - the common areas were outdated looking but were clean thankfully! Upon entry of our room I was very disappointed in the size, there was barely enough room to navigate around my twelve year old without constantly bumping into her not to mention the ginormous tv that is in the most inconvenient spot, I also found trash under the bed, including a document someone left regarding removal of a deceased body - that was creepy! so it’s clear after the last persons stay, whoever cleaned that room didn’t bother to take care of under the bed so it makes you wonder what else was missed - I’m pretty easy going and there’s not much that can run me off and believe me I’ve stayed at worse places, however given the price paid, I would of had a better stay at a motel 8

The ice machine didn’t work on my floor, our windows were cracked we when came into the room, there was a towel on the bathroom floor which lead me to believe it was not cleaned before I arrived and the elevator wouldn’t work twice. For the about I spent on a suite and the pictures and look from inside the lobby which is beautiful I expected a lot more.

The hotel itself is beautiful, however, the room are in desperate need of updating. The carpet in our room had big stains everywhere not to mention the uneven floors. The coffee table had a thick layer of dust over it. The hallways smell ok after they spray whatever freshener they use but I the evenings that fades and it smells like smoke. They really need to tear out the carpets everywhere. They are just old, dingy, and smelly.

We were in town for the weekend for the Ohio State game. With taxes, fees, etc, the room was a little over $200/night. It was an old historic hotel, so I did not expect it to be super modern. However, the room was incredibly small. I would guess about 10’ by 20’. The view was of a wall with half the windows covered up. The drawers in the dresser would not open because the sliding closet door blocked them. There was a small 1-cup coffee maker in the room but no cups. The bathroom was super small. Definitely only room for 1 person to get ready at a time. The walls are very thin. We could hear everyone going up and down the hallways. The acoustics in the entry area/reception are not great. If there is anything goin on up on the second floor, the sound will blast you out of the room. There was some big event up there Saturday night, and it was so loud that we left the bar area and went back to the room to watch the late games. The front desk people were very nice and professional. Overall, just too expensive for the product that you get. They could fix some of the small details and it would help.

The stay was great....EXCEPT the mind numbing boom boom from music that SHOOK THE WINDOWS! It was late before we could sleep. During this time, we had to BLARE the TV so we could hear over the noise. We were on the 4th floor....Cant imagine what the lower floors experienced.

Rooms and hotel were a little dated and old versus other Westin locations. Electricals in the room were extremely loud which led to having to sleep without air con and having to remove mini fridge plug. However, Ben on front desk is great and Bar Cicchetti food and service very good.

Not exaggerating the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed at. Not recommended for anything other than a solo visit. Parking was already expensive, and we received a ticket for the 20 minutes it took to go on, ask about parking, drop off our bags and leave. $102. Room is clean and nice. But ultimately not worth the money.

Not living up to the Bonvoy brand. No heat in room. Front desk said they would send maintenance. Lied. Maintenance was already gone and she didn’t let the night manager know about the issue and went home. Really?? The wine package I ordered and was assured would be in the room as a surprise for my wife’s birthday, was not. The desk said “oh yes it should be in the room now”. It was not. Took them an hour to bring it up. Ruined surprise. Front desk staff needs to be replaced and management looked at. This is the Westin, not a Holiday Inn Express.

We were on the 4th floor, quiet until 3:30 AM when multiple verbal, foul-language altercations occurred in our hallway. Considering this is a Marriott property, I was surprised to know security seemed to be lacking.

I have found with my travels since "Covid"..hotels are run down. I understand why. This particular hotel needs TLC. Carpets are old and stained. I think this hotel may be short handed and possible newer staff. Front desk was always very helpful.

When I was approaching S. High St from the parking lot, I tripped on the uneven sidewalk and experienced a fall. I was bleeding from my hand and face. The Valet on duty quickly came to my aid, provided ointment and bandaids. He was very helpful and concerned. The valets were also helpful when someone came to pick us up; allowed us to park for 10 minutes at the curb and watched our car.

I liked the stay but it was old historic property so elevators were small. I did not know there was a coffee shop until I was ready to leave. I believe we were in the heart of downtown but we didn’t explore I had a conference to attend.

The historic architecture makes this hotel a great space to stay. It does need a little TLC. Simple things like cleaning the glass doors at entry could go a long way. For the price- it’s a great deal. It’s downtown - across from the court of common pleas. It’s not in the Short North area where there’s walkable dining/shopping but their restaurant is good and provides room service.

I have stayed before and it is certainly adequate. It is located ~ 1.5 miles from convention center and surrounding businesses. The staff are not overly helpful but certainly pleasant. Because it is not centrally located, dining options are limited. Bus lines are convenient if you do not have luggage. Lobby music drifted into room but quiet over all.

While a really nice property, when we arrived ( in 10 degree weather) , there was no heat in the lobby , or restaurant.No one told us this, and thankfully our rooms warm but we planned to dine there due to how cold it was outdoors. We had to bundle up to last in the restaurant long enough to eat. The poor bartender was alone, handling the bar and tables. She even had to run rake out food to rooms as room service! It was painful to watch and experience. The food was average- there was no manager on duty to lend a hand, and no compensation offered for the lack of heat while dining.

A lovely old hotel, with a good restaurant, connected to an "opera house", which was an excellent venue for a concert. So nice to park only one time and have dinner, attend the concert, and spend the night.

Overall, we had an amazing night. The bar was nice for a night cap. The room was clean and well appointed, but was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. It suited our purpose though. Pillows were NOT what I'm used to at a Marriott property. Not very comfortable. Everyone was friendly from the valet to housekeeping to the check-in. No real issues. We would definitely recommend and will be back.

Otherwise, considering the size and condition of the rooms, and the in-room amenities provided, this hotel is way over-priced. We had a 5th floor room with two double beds (not queen), facing High Street, so we had a nice view. The window blind was broken. The bulb in one of our lamps was strobing. The closet rod was installed so high and up too close to the closet shelf that it was difficult just to get a clothes hanger on and off the bar. We had no iron and ironing board, though there was a rack for it in the tiny closet. There’s almost no counter space in the bathroom. The shower was nice. The TV is great. Plenty of outlets for charging electronics. Climate control was antiquated and the air conditioning noisy. The lobby and common areas are beautiful. Staff is great - super friendly and helpful. Hotel restaurant is over-priced and a gratuity was automatically added to the bill, but the food is good. Self parking in the garage across the side street is the way to go.

Old hotel, only 1 working elevator that took forever, room safe remained broken after 4 complaints. Had a several business meetings in the restaurant, service took hours, the second meeting the cook was didn't show up to work and we wasted 40 minutes waiting, the chef refused to serve anyone. Horrible service and unmaintained property.

Had to wait in line for 10+minutes to check-in. Lots of guests because of a conference. One of the elevators was out of order. Ordered a drink in the bar. Left after 15 minutes of waiting for drink. Told bartender to cancel the order—she said she never received that order. Offered to comp the drink, but at that point I was over this hotel. Will never stay there again!
