Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbus/Airport

We had our brand new car broken into over night and had money stolen and our window smashed. The lighting where we parked was bad and there were no cameras in the area

The pool area was dirty and the chlorine smell was very strong. I didn’t even end up getting in due to it.

Rooms need to be updated including matters covers stained beds lower then headboard toilet and sinks stuffed up pull out couch stained and mattress pea pea out and stained Pool area inside pool paint peeling and tiles around inside of the pool missing your car window might get broke into Shawn Carr or Carter the manger has a I don’t care type attitude this hotel needs to be inspected by health department and BBB needs to be contacted I will be contacting Hilton and Hotwire first thing Monday . The Evenings Rep for check in this pass weekend 9/26-9/27 is over worked and under paid they leave her with all the problems she is the best person they have working at this location my honest opinion is to avoid this location by all means it’s Ran down in will be soon like the hotels on 161 north which is ran down not safe if you keep your reservation your stuck. House keeping speaks no English and they half clean we pay this kind money to be in comfort they make Hilton look bad. I would say please don’t book stay closer to the downtown hotels one last thing where they bring breakfast from it’s a mess in there and food and etc all over the place not clean and the floor inside were breakfast comes from is filthy stay away.

The property was nice abd staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and very nice. However we were not aware of the construction going on at the hotel which also played a part in no hot breakfast. When travelers are looking for hotels the amenities that comes with the hotels are very important. You choose a hotel based off of what you need and if i would have known hot breakfast wasnt going to be available during my stay i wouldve stayed elsewhere.

Convenient to the airport and advertised that it had a bar and restaurant onsite, which they did not. Breakfast was average but good enough that we ate it for four days. Rooms and common facilities were clean. Pool was cloudy and a LOT of kids but I was just letting my grandchild swim. Not really close to any places to eat that are super convenient but there is a Mcdonalds within walking distance. Overall, we had a great time visiting our family in CMH.

Room wasn't clean, elevator didn't work. They double-charged my credit and refuse to refund through Expedia as Expedia claims they can never get hotel on the phone.

It was nice and clean didn't like that the pool is closed tell February and when i booked the room and didnt say anything bout it being closed

The Airport shuttle is actually Uber ride that the hotel arranged, it was very convenient and they were quick to respond. The hotel front desk was friendly. My room was not very clean, There was debris on the floor and the night stand had not been cleaned.

I was disappointed in my stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbus/Airport. The hotel was under construction and we had to walk to the other side of the hotel to use the elevators. I ordered a kitchen and there was no blender available. We were only provided with a limited number of utensils and towels in the kitchen. The phones in the room were not working so I had to call the front desk using my cell phone. The toilet was running the whole time we were there but there was no one available to fix it when I told the front desk. When I checked out of the hotel, neither one of the elevators were working so I had to use the stairs when leaving with my luggage.

Clear was broken almost broken into. Cracked my drivers side window. Wouldn’t recommend staying there.

Staff was great. Room smells is not good. I had to check out three different rooms before I accepted one that smelled okay. Kitchen floor is always sticky.

Front desk was ok. We stayed on the second floor. Immediately after stepping off the elevator the entire floor smelled like urine. The room itself did not have a urine smell but was not pleasant either. It’s pretty clear bedding is NOT washed regularly. The comforter on the bed was very dirty and had makeup on it. Had clearly not been washed in quite a while. The sheets had hairs in them so I’m questioning if those were even changed. The shower curtain also has not been washed as it was covered it dirty hand prints on the one side where none of us had touched. The toilet seat was broken and the entire toilet was loose from the floor. Overall cleanliness of the room was lacking. We’ve stayed in this hotel other times and every time we come back it gets a little worse. After this stay, we will absolutely not be coming back.

The room was covered in ants all over the wall and everywhere ... asked to be moved to another room but was told no available rooms all sold out .. refused to give us a refund

I just want to start out by saying that this review is not due to the front desk staff or Shawn(Manager). We arrive and immediately went to our room drooped our bags and went for dinner. Upon returning from dinner I noticed a few things right away(paint chipping in tub, toilet was not sufficiently cleaned, mirror door for closet was off of the hinges mold in the ice-maker for the freezer, grease covered the table between beds) and more or last looked at it like it a hotel and it won’t be perfect. The breaking straw was the pull out bed. It appeared to be saturated in urine at one point. I took pictures and went to the front desk to go over the what was found. The night shift front desk employees were great but stated that there were no more rooms available. They did take notes for the manager upon his arrival in the morning. I then told the front desk that I was going to stay at another hotel because my children were not going to sleep on that and they could not change the mattress. I booked another hotel and left. The next morning, I head to the hotel only to find that it was a blessing that we did not stay the night. There were over 50 vehicles I that area that were smash and grabs and as I entered the parking lot, many cars had black garbage bags over the windows that were broken. The manager is exceptional but I believe owners are not invested in this hotel. We tend to stay at the HW locations quite often and this one is not up to par.

When we arrived the room smelled like cleaner but it was t clean - hair in the sink, floors were a mess, dog hair everywhere. I went out and purchased things to clean as there were no other rooms. The room smelt strongly of cleaner upon arrival but by the next morning, the mildew smell set in. My child woke up sick and I had to purchase an air purifier for our room. The smell persisted and it was awful. I’ve never experienced a Hilton hotel to be in such terrible condition. Will never be back and hope others reconsider booking here!

Room was dirty and beds where not changed from previous guest. Staff was nice and gave me clean linen and cleaning supplies to clean.

The kitchen floor was VERY sticky! There was an empty cigarette box on the counter. Breakfast was very good! Room was a great size.

This was the perfect place for our family to stay. Spacious and well stocked!!

It was close to The James which we liked. But overall the hotel needs an upgrade. Room was clean but appliances need upgrade, TV definitely needs upgrade. Our stay was comfortable but woukd we stay again, probably not.

The indoor pool area had a lot of noise and disruption from groups of kids running around the hotel unsupervised. I reported the issue to the front desk but our relaxed evening by the pool was ruined. Our hotel room temperature was 76 degrees which was quite hot. The thermostat in the room was dysfunctional.

First room, window was broke and would not close at all. No balcony like the reservation stated. 2nd room 109 had leaking pipes in the kitchen, water everywhere! Stayed Thursday to Sunday $515.00 not worth it at all. Also no balcony at mt second room either.

Amazing experience. I am chronically ill and there being a separate bedroom was ideal! I could rest as necessary and my husband could comfortably sit, get something to eat or drink and watch tv without disturbing each other.

Hotel location is convenient. Registration desk person was efficient & welcoming. Room is spacious, clean & comfortable.

Worst stay of our lives! The A/C was not working,78 in our room and they offered no help, no maintenance, nothing! Then my wife tried to do laundry, those didn’t work and the clothes actually got stuck in the machine and the maintenance guy didn’t care and said if you break it, you will owe $250 for a new door. Luckily a nice cleaning person helped her and got the clothes. A disgusting place, no help and pot smells every hallway! STAY AWAY

Our flight did not arrive until after 12:30am and when I called for shuttle service they had two u ears over at the airport to pick us up and bring us to the hotel. They had our room keys ready and check in took less than one minute! We were in our super homey and welcoming two bedroom suite in minutes. Our first experience with this stay will not be our last! What an amazing place to stay. PS. We missed the 9am cut off for breakfast but they opened the kitchen area so we could get hot drinks!!! What customer friendly service!!!

The stay was okay, we got there about 250 and the room was not ready until 315, check-in was at 3 and lets just say staff was friendly at all no apology of anything for the room being late. Booked a fireplace suite but didnt get that but we just rolled with it didnt want to wait any longer or walk back down to complain. Room wasnt even clean but okay. Hotel is large and the room spacious. Breakfast was just okay very few options. The stay was just okay.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this property, unless you want to sleep in your car and/or wait around the lobby for hours waiting for a room to become available. Lots of guests were left waiting for hours for rooms because the hotel has poor management. Desk staff was great but they have limited capabilities when rooms aren't clean. Was able to finally check in a little after 5:30 pm. Some good that does when you have an earlier event and a 6 am flight. Definitely put a damper on what was a great vacation.

Nice stay before an early convention next morning. Easy drive in and less expensive than downtown hotels. Breakfast was weak at best. Nice front desk staff.

It is convenient to the Expo Center. It is touch and go if the frig works or not and do not plan on cooking a lot, there is not much in the kitchen. But for what we needed it for, it was ok.

Nice staff and very comfortable spacious facilities. Beds were comfortable and breakfast contained edible good hot food. We will be back next year.

Not thrilled with the amenities promised like the missing airport shuttle, the pool was nice but looked much smaller than in the pictures (and no hot tub), but the biggest disappointment was the breakfast…same thing every day and they often ran out of things. My room was nice…plenty of space and a comfy bed, but the kitchen floor was sticky

Nice property and very nice room (suite) at a good price, but lousy service. We stayed 4 nights and the room was never cleaned. The front desk said they clean every 4th day. Never heard of such a policy, and was not told this at check-in. The front desk has minimal staff, usually in the back room with no audible summons (bell, buzzer, etc.). Hot breakfast was mostly pre-fab omelets, sausage and soggy potatoes. TV really sucks. No printed directory, limited stations and online guide is slow and tedious.

The lobby is beautiful. The staff were very friendly! The room was cool. The bed spread was dirty, and the breakfast was horrible.

7 out of 10 for clean room Let let people smoke funny cigarettes in the rooms. Breakfast is 6-9 and 8:30 most of it is gone and they don’t refill. About 10 people was looking for breakfast It was 80° in the dining room that morning. Weirdly it was 65° when i checked in the day before.

The property was quiet with very nice staff. We came from Florida and the hospitality of this property was greatly welcomed. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The breakfast tasted great as well.
