the power of the hotel seems to be unstable, the power went out on a Saturday morning, ot went from 8am to 12 pm. i couldn't take a shower or charge my electronics, it was very disruptive, and on top of that the hotel refused to give any compensations dispite repeated asking. in the remining of my stay the power still flickers from time to time.

Parking is extra, hard to find, and located across a busy road. Wi-Fi was very weak while in room, it didn't even work half the time during my stay, it's so bad they have a small binder on the desk with a 1-800 number to call for technical support, so I called, the person apologized and told me it would be addressed, and that was it. The bed was comfortable, the room looked clean but didn't feel clean, bed sheets appeared to be cleaned but have had there day, the towels smelled musky and tub could use a better cleaning, No hair conditioner, No Kleenex .just kept telling myself you get what you pay for, it's budget. On a positive note, Very friendly staff and the coffee available in the common area of the entrance was actually very good and made up for the crappy little machine in the room that serves no purpose.

You get what you pay for. Whole building is in mediocre condition, hotel room wasn’t super clean, furniture was falling apart. Power went out for the whole hotel Saturday morning, thankfully shower still had hot water. When I asked about it they said it would be back on in an hour or two, had no other info. Don’t know why they don’t have an emergency backup generator? For somewhere to just sleep it was doable, and the walk to the convention center is pretty fast. Fairly certain someone clipped my car while it was in the Red Roof parking lot at some point as well. They sent me three different billing statements with different totals, but only charged me for the first one, so not sure what that’s about.

This Red Roof Inn has NO FITNESS ROOM at all. Instead, it has something much better: An arrangement with a STELLAR gym about an eight minute walk away -- Red Roof guests can train there for free. That may not be so nice in February, but in October, it worked GREAT.

Parking fees seem to be hidden. Parking situation is confusing, Air conditioner sounded very strange, Refrigerator didn't work, TV was unplugged, staff was not friendly, Coffee was frequently unavailable in the am. I intentionally stopped staying at "Red Roof Inn's" 20 years ago, as it was the worst of all "motel" experiences. I gave this a chance because it was advertised as "Plus ," offering a "Premium" experience. It wasn't. It was a Red Roof Inn motel if it was instead a hotel. No on-site parking. Lobby not air conditioned. Only 1 working elevator. No breakfast service - not even coffee. Rooms smelled. Hallways smelled. Bed uncomfortable. Linens and towels of poor quality. (2nd room didn't even have towels, and had to be asked for.) Refused to clean rooms during stay. Only 2 positives: free access to local professional gym and decent water pressure in the shower. That's it.

If you just need a place to crash when not out all day, then it works. No gym, paid parking $15 a day across the street with no distinct walk way to cross the road back to hotel. Facet was coming off the wall in shower. It was clean and the staff was very friendly

Only one working ice machine and finding the floor it was on, 5th level, was a like a bad treasure hunt. The one working staff person didn't even know which floor it was on. During check-in we were required to pay for use of the safe and had to request a refund when checking out if we didn't use it?!?! "Complimentary" coffee provided in the morning was so watered down I threw it away. Coffee maker in room hadn't been cleaned in a while. Only one of two elevators was operating. The only one set of window curtains in the room were inadequate in keeping light out when closed. Complimentary lotion not provided. We will not be staying here again.

The only thing I did not like was the fact they charge $19 for parking. The parking lot is across the street from the hotel. I want to say it's $19 a night to park. The place is credit card only They do not accept cash for anything.

206 Really needs a deep clean. there are dirty finger prints on the bathroom door, there was something spilled on the bottom of the trash can and the laminated sheets in the room of stuff offered were sticky and not clean stick it was dirty sticky. Room 206 needs a new shower head, it was spraying water everywhere it got out all over the floor.

This is a good hotel if you want to be across the street from the convention center but don’t/can’t pay for the Hilton or Hyatt. There is a weird smell in the hotel, and the rooms. It appears clean, but the weird smell did. It go away and it was throughout the hotel. There are no extras here. No breakfast, no pool, no fitness room, nothing. So it is an ok room in a great location.

The staff was very helpful. The property is in need of a massive cleaning. We had to move rooms due to a persistent sewage smell. The carpets in both rooms felt sticky and moist causing us to wear shoes at all times. Towel shortage, hair in the shower. I think they just need more support from management, the staff was a pleasure to work with. The facility just needs some help

The room felt like it was missing furniture. There was no table or ottoman by the chairs. Half of the lights in the room were not working. In the mornings there was no hot water, or even warm water for shower. Not having a breakfast is a choice, but it will influence my decision on where to stay next time.

I think this place desperately needs to replace their door lock system, and to more fully staff their front desk. The keycards to our doors stopped working multiple times, which caused us to have to go to the front desk. There was usually one person working the front desk, with a long line (not a fun thing to wait in at 11pm). When asking for a new keycard, they never confirmed our identity (any of the times we went to get a new card) with the exception of one time (remember, the key cards stopped working many times). So, this made us concerned for the security and safety of the place. The hotel it self was fine, and I would only suggest staying here is funds are low and their price point is low. Also, I have not received an itemized receipt and was charged some things twice, so now I need to investigate to make sure I was properly charged. In short, this place was more work than it was relaxing.

It has been a while since we stayed here, and it was the cheapest option for a brief overnight visit while we went to a game in town. The rooms are very dark and turning on the lights barely helps. Check-in was incredibly slow and watch for the hidden "safe fee", be sure to tell them at checkout that you did not use it so you get your money back. They definitely raised the parking rate from last time we were here, it is $19 a night now and honestly, that is just a couple bucks under the valet fees of local competitors, where you can stay with more amenities for not that much more per night as well. Overall, the stay was fine, the rooms were clean, and we like the area. I would just seriously weigh all of the options before outwardly picking this hotel versus others in the area.

When we checked in the man at the front desk was not friendly and didn't seem to know what he was doing. The lady, Dora, was extremely kind and helpful on day 2 though. When we went to leave we were charged $120 for parking but were told Red Roof put us over there because their parking lot was full, when i checked out he said i parked in the wrong lot. We did get it situated though partly. When i return later this year i will stay in one of the other hotels and hopefully receiver friendlier service.

The staff was so super nice. Message to the management: DON'T HAVE SHIFT CHANGE AT 3PM (check-in time), especially if you aren't allowing early check-ins. I can't believe how nice the staff was considering what a mess the night shift had to come into.

Check in was quick and efficient. She informed us that housekeeping was not automatic and that we needed to request services each day. We simply requested it each morning and the girls did a wonderful job cleaning our room, making beds, and restocking towels. The hotel was quiet and we felt safe. It was a quick walk across the street to the Conference Center. The Flatiron Tavern located next door was a hidden gem with great service and food.

We arrived at 2:00 and were told check-in was at 3:00 and we would have to wait until then. We came back at 2:50 and there were 20 people in line waiting to check in. We talked to other guests who said they arrived at 2:30 and were able to check in then.

We didnt have any issues with cleanliness, but we had multiple issues with the front desk, there was 3 of us staying in the room, and i arrived with one, and the other arrived soon after and I spoke to the front desk about this and they said they would give her a key card after seeing her ID and that it wouldn’t be an issue, the person never put it in the system and didn’t tell anyone when she left so I then had to come back and show my ID to check in my friend, after this the gentleman working the front desk named Baul said he needed to make us all new key cards since we were adding one; we had this done and I took one and so did my friend, the third one staying with us was out at dinner, and Baul said he would hold her key card for her and we left her name and we were told there would be no issues, when my friend returned at night I was asleep and so was my other friend, she went to the front desk and said she needed her key card and that they had her info, the same gentleman that we made sure had the key card told her he didn’t know what she was talking about and wouldn’t give her the card, luckily I heard my phone vibrating and woke up,and let her in the room, we were super angry and this point because this is now the second issue we had with him, the next morning my friend went and spoke with the front desk and said we needed her card, they said they had no idea what we were talking about and made ANOTHER set of key cards for us, unable to type anything else due tospace

Hotel was very clean and smelled great. It was a very convenient location for Nationwide Arena, which is where we were going. Hotel has parking, but the lot is across the road from the hotel which was annoying, but not terrible. quiet area, lots of food options. Rooms could use some maintenance as there was a few things broken in our room. Overall, would stay here again.

Great location for walking to arena. Has the tavern right there so food and drink were easy. Parking is tricky if you have never done it. Room was clean and water pressure was good with hot water. Tub was a liitle cramped for talker people and curtain wasnt loned so water gets all over floor. Coffe machine was not working properly so ended up with an empty cup.

Parking across the street with no real close crosswalk is a pain, and unsafe for older folks. It's also ridiculous to pay for parking on top of a room. Average hotel. Not amazingly clean, but not filthy. The price is good to be in that area, and it's located an 8 minute walk from the Arena.

It looks like it has seen better days but it was great. I would stay there if ever I was in Columbus. Esp as across the street from convention hall. The staff were precious and happy to take care of us. The place was quiet, clean and comfortable. They provided everything I needed. Good location for Restaraunts, shops and the river walk. No meals or bar inside but just outside the door.

Someone was smoking cigarettes in the building. We could smell the smoke in our bathroom (Room 724). The front-office staff indicated that the folks in the room (Room 722), had also complained of the smoke. We were very disappointed that the hotel had no continental breakfast or a restaurant. The coffee out of the front lobby vending machine was horrible. We could hardly wait to find a Starbucks.

The room was clean and large. The Flatiron Pub is right next door and has the best Cheesesteak sandwiches. It's also a quick walk to the North Market for other food options. There is a weird deposit for the safe that you can get back if you expressly state you did not use the safe. They will not ask you. This was mentioned in other reviews so I was prepared. Otherwise a good stay.

We would have preferred to have breakfast offered on the premises. The room service option was incredibly expensive, and we will certainly not use that option again. The staff were nice and helpful, and the room clean and quiet.

Quiet place with nice restaurants in walking distance. But how does a hotel have no good coffee options? Pay $2 for coffee in lobby but no extra cream or sugar. Parking is across the street and they charge $15 per day to have to walk down and around in freezing temps. Craziness
