I recently stayed at the Red Roof Plus Hotel and had a very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, I discovered that the elevator was broken. After reading other reviews, I found out that it had been out of service for months, which is unacceptable. The front desk initially informed me that only rooms on the third floor were available. Unfortunately, I had just had surgery on my left arm and was unable to carry my suitcase and manage my two young children up three flights of stairs. After explaining my situation, they finally offered me a room on the first floor. However, this room was filled with the strong odor of marijuana, which made our stay very uncomfortable. After driving for six hours and arriving around 11 PM with two exhausted kids, we had no choice but to sleep with the window open to mitigate the smell. Overall, this stay was far from pleasant, and I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience. The issues with the elevator and the poor room condition need to be addressed promptly.

The peoperty was very clean amd upgraded. Staff were helpful. My only complaint was that the elevator was out of order and my room on the 3rd floor. This was not a new development and i didnt see any information about the non working elevator. I am a senior citizen and climbing those stairs with my luggage at the end of a long drive was difficult. The young man at the front desk did not offer any assistance.

For the price, it was exactly what I expected. Clean and a place to sleep for the night. Glass was all over the parking lot, so not sure what happened there. Elevator was broken. Outside of that. It was worth the price I paid!

Check in was smooth and easy! Room was not the cleanest; hole in the bedsheet, hair visible under the fitted sheet and corners of the room had accumulated quite a bit of hair and crumbs. Fine for a one night stay with reasonable price!

We chose this location based on good reviews. It was to be a quick trip and we were traveling with our dog. After a very early morning and a busy afternoon, we checked in and dropped our stuff. The property was a bit rough, but seemed clean enough. We went to meet our kids for dinner. When we returned, late & exhausted, we turned down the covers on the bed and it was FULL OF BUGS AND HAIR. We were out of there in less than 5 minutes. DO. NOT. STAY. HERE.

I’ve been staying here for three years now whenever I’m visiting the Columbus area. The building is older but the property is well maintained and the rooms were recently updated. They are some of the cleanest rooms I’ve seen at any hotel in the Midwest.

When driving into parking lot I had a bad feeling.. even the windows were dirty. Went inside and was given room … upon inspection of bed sheets there was hair within the bed sheets, mold in the bathroom… was shown another room and the room smelled of cigarettes but was told it couldn’t be because there is no smoking on the property… left the property to get another hotel, paid more but it was clean.

The room was spotlessly clean and fresh and the front desk personnel were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They greeted us by sight as we came in and out and asked follow up questions to things we'd mentioned earlier. Honestly in some ways it felt more like staying at a bed and breakfast. Some of the exterior and hallway were pretty dated, but the room is what you're really there for.

There was no notice prior to booking that the elevator was broken. We had to walk up flights of stairs and I’m am disabled so stairs are quite difficult for me. The room had cockroaches and when I I formed the hotel staff they tried to accuse me of bringing a roach into the room!

The bathroom was disgusting. It had mold and rust. The walls were stained and looked like they have never been wiped down. The floor in the bathroom had hair on it and needed to be mopped. I guy at the front desk wasn’t even there for me to check in when I arrived and then we he finally came out of wherever he was, he was RUDE! Do not recommend this place. Will never stay again.

The hotel itself was nice. I requested a room on the end opposite of the freeway running by it, so it was very quiet. The man who checked us in was very hospitable and friendly. Unfortunately, the blackout curtains are too far from the wall to make the room dark. There was so much light coming in around them that I didn’t get much sleep at all. And I hate the doofie little pillows hotels are switching to. I was expecting there to be some kind of breakfast since it’s a Red Roof + hotel, but no such luck.

Awful experience. Upon arriving, there was issues with Expedia being in contact with the hotel. Not the hotels fault, but front desk was asking me to call Expedia while they were on the phone with them to try to figure out the problem. After 20 minutes of waiting in the lobby, we went to our room on the third floor. Elevator was out. The second we got onto the third floor, the temp went up 20 degrees and became humid. We paid for a smoke free room. The room REEKED of smokes. Like someone had just smoked a pack and walked out. We talked to front desk to ask for a different room or just a refund. He showed us a few other rooms that had a weird smell and he said they put air fresheners in to cover the smoke. What happened to smoke free room? After an hour of nonsense, we were begging to just get a refund, even partial because the rooms stunk and the hotel did not meet expectations. I accidently booked a non refundable room. They have no mercy with this. You will not get a refund no matter what if you get non refundable. I understand there’s policies but the rooms were just unbearable. We wanted to contact the manager, but was told she was off even though the front desk person kept calling her, but refused to let us speak with her. We ended up leaving and staying a hotel nearby that was a million times better. I tried calling the hotel when the hotel manager was suppose to be there to speak about this, but got no answer. The pictures for the hotel are extremely deceiving.

The hotel was clean and and staff waa great. There was a bar and lounge just across the parking lot. Alot of noise from the bar patrons all night including a loud fight. Not the hotels fault, but definitely made it harder to get rest. Otherwise would stay again.

Good stay for the value. Part motel and part hotel(doors opening to inside). Our outside facing room was comfortable and clean. Tub showed some wear. Comfortable king bed. A little skunky smelling when we stepped outside. Across the parking lot is a great Mexican restaurant.

It's a Red Roof Plus..... what is the plus? There was no breakfast not even continental style. Although I did appreciate the coffee and tea option always available, no decaf or hetbal tead for evenings though. Our door opened to the outside and the gasket was missing for about 2.5 inches on the bottom.

The location is convenient. The beds clean and comfortable. The bathroom was prettybeat up with some crumbly drywall. No breakfast. Vending machines only. Did have free coffee but it was very bad. Just need to plan on going somewhere to get food and coffee in the morning. Not a bad experience but will find somewhere else next time in the area
