When I booked this hotel, it didn’t mention anywhere on the Expedia website that the property was under construction. The main pool is completely closed off. The steakhouse is closed to get to the beach. You need to walk around all the construction making it very inconvenient. I tried canceling a couple days before, but the hotel denied my cancellation request. The only pool that’s available has no capacity for the amount of guest staying at the hotel. There aren’t enough chairs. There’s not enough space in the pool either the beach chairs were free but they charge you $40 for an umbrella.

Do not stay here if you are looking for peace and quiet. One of the hotel pools is under construction which we were not informed about prior to our stay. Whether your at the pool or the beach the construction sounds are there. Overall the hotel is beautiful, location is perfect right on the beach. Staff at the bar were great. Overall food options are small and pretty pricey. What we did order was tasty tho. Pool closed at sunset which was disappointing but the pool bar stays open till 10pm. I would stay here again but definitely not until the construction is finished.

Parking fees were ridiculous $50 a day to self park one car as well as resort fees I didn’t expect to pay separately after paying so much for the room. There was only 1 pool Open the hot tub was closed and the sky bridge to get from the parking lot to the hotel was closed making it very inconvenient to get in and out had to cross the busy street. I understand that places have to do upgrades and repairs but this should be disclosed at the time of reservations instead of charging a fortune and being so disappointed. The room and hotel was very clean. A lot of the staff couldn’t understand what we said. Just a very aggravating trip. I will never stay there again and would never recommend to a friend.

Hotel is under construction and they didn’t tell us anything about this , the only pool at moment is very small for the size of the hotel. You have to walk a lot to get to the beach area because everything is under construction. The pool close very early and also you have to return the beach lounges like at 6pm also very early after that you have to put all your stuff in the sand. There is a lot more to say about this hotel, in conclusion is very expensive for what you get.

Amazingly clean with super friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere with a ‘no-stress’ feel. lots of options for food and excellent coffee in the beautiful, modern, and very spacious lobby. Live music in the evenings with excellent drink choices, with an energetic vibe. The room was spacious once again and had an amazing view of the ocean, resort property with the pools, and beach. The room was clean daily with fresh towels, and there was an espresso coffee machine with coffee pods that allowed for a morning cafe espresso on the deck. .

My stay at Diplomat Oceanfront Residences was absolutely outstanding. This is truly one of the cleanest and most well-maintained hotels I’ve ever visited. Every corner feels fresh and cared for. Disappointing Stay at The Diplomat - Would Not Recommend I recently stayed at The Diplomat in Hollywood, Florida, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was unacceptable. The lobby bathrooms were filthy, and at one point, there was actual feces in the lobby area, which was both shocking and disgusting. One of the main pools was closed due to construction, and the other was actively being worked on, filling the area with dust and noise from power tools cutting pavers — not the relaxing atmosphere you’d expect from a resort. Our room was not clean upon check-in: there was mold in the bathroom, and food remnants on the carpet. To make things worse, the air conditioning didn’t work properly, making the room uncomfortable in the Florida heat. Overall, the property felt neglected and poorly managed. For the price and reputation, I expected much better. I would strongly suggest considering other options in the area if you’re looking for a comfortable, clean, and enjoyable stay.

Someone came in my room and stole my cheesecakes out of the fridge and when i called about it, they brung them back. The hotel is extremely dirty. The couch, pillows on the couch, windows, the balcony, the linen on the windows. This hotel by far isn’t a reflection of its name. The tub has hair in it. Highly do not recommend, and i reserved 2 rooms.

The lobby area, bars, and restaurants are beautiful. The rooms are ok, but not amazing. The bathroom had a very strange layout with very heavy glass doors to the small shower stall and another heavy glass door to the toilet room... which made getting in and out of the bathroom and using the bathroom quite an annoyance. The front area of the hotel had some serious construction happening, which blocked the use of all the sidewalks, so the walkability was not as safe as I would have expected in such a high-traffic area.

Terrace was huge and amazing views at night. Bartender Adriana was amazing and makes perfect drinks. Everyone was friendly. Only downside- I felt the rooms you can kind of hear everything outside the room. Or that people can hear you. Paper thin walls it felt like. Other than that everything else was 100!

The staff was very rude and disrespectful. I have stayed in this hotel for the past 8 years on the 4th of July and were always very nice. This year they changed their staff by the pool bar and the manager and the staff by the pool bar were very rude we are a very respectful family that causes no problems at all. We were in a cabana all day and didn’t even come one time around to offer us anything to eat nor drink horrible service. Not renting in your hotel ever again.

The staff were unresponsive. I had an issue with noise around 7am and asked to speak with the manager, who never called. There was a sunrise yoga class at the pool area with an instructor yelling so loudly that I could hear it on the 24th floor. My bathroom didn’t have toiletries in it. The window shade had frayed threads. I would never stay there again.

At the end of my stay I would like to say that we had so much fun and my family enjoyed their time as well. Also, wanted to thank Mr. Mado who helped us a lot during the check in process as the initial room was in 6 floor just on top of the AC units and was very loud, honestly I was that close to cancel my entire stay until he came and talk to me and helped us to get another room with upgrade. He was kind, patient and helpful. Overall my experience is great and definitely will come back again..

Front desk staff: very friendly, very knowledgeable, extremely approachable to talk to with any questions Hotel: very clean, very safe Pool areas (2): a lot of fun, very clean (get to the pool area early to get ur chair as it fills up fast) Bar area: bar tenders were excellent and served good drinks! Convenient store on site! …came in very handy Beach: beautiful water, clean beach (and the whole crew who puts out the chairs and umbrellas are top notch. They are very courteous, respectful, and friendly) Rooms: very nice, very clean. (Housecleaners do an excellent and efficient job) Parking: valet tenants are very quick and helpful. There is a parking garage across the street. Hotel surrounding area: very peaceful, grocery store within walking distance (literally a 2 min walk)

The property is beautiful, there was live music in the lobby. I had an oceanfront view, so I was able to literally open my eyes to the sunrise, it was beautiful. I recently stayed at Diplomatic Beach Resort in Hollywood Beach and had a wonderful experience. For a family friendly environment, they could have done better, I can say it was a mixture of everything but kind of family friendly. We got breakfast already at the time of booking, but they didn’t have good verities and also on weekdays they didn’t provide buffet. No chocolate at all, a very limited selection and very firm staff. Location is awesome, easy to access but on your own cost. They charged resort fee but although they provide umbrella at the pool, same umbrella costs $35 before tax at the beach which doesn’t make sense. Staff at playa restaurant and also water sports staff were amazing

Buffet is pricey if dont each much. However, you rack up your bill trying to get things you like individually. Valet was charged even though I didnt have a car. Quick fix.. Only let down is the lazy river was closed and Diplomat Prime was closed on Sundays- the day we were looking for a good place to eat.

Property is ok. but the price gouging is insane. The $50 daily resort fee charged at checkout plus $50 for self pay parking across the street added 50% to my trip charge after 5 day stay. Drinks for $25 each and a simple burger and fries for 2 people costing over $100 bucks plus the mandatory 20% tip charge on everything in the hotel make an all inclusive in mexico seem like a bargain.
