Super 8 by Wyndham Louisville Airport

The room was not clean when we arrives, the towels were dirty and there were not enough - the extra ones we received were also dirty. The whole place stunk of cigarettes and some unknown musty odor. A man was lying in the parking lot taking his pants off one night. Another night the elevator got stuck on the first floor and the front desk did not answer our calls, and the emergency phone did not connect to the fire department (it rang twice then went silent).

I was shocked when i first arrived. Being from another state, and booking online i expected cleaner and inside the airport grounds with a airport shuttle like it says online. Which was a lie. When it was time to check in the police was there dealing with a guy who wouldn't leave peacefully. Looking for something cheap and in the hood this is it. The staff was trying their best. Dont belive the pictures online thats all i can say. I guess it got the job done but i only stayed maybe 24hrs. Anything longer i would have snapped and just let them keep the money and get another hotel a real Hotel.! SMH

The stay was good but my problem was they advertised that they had a shuttle to the airport and after I checked in they told me they didn't have it anymore. I almost missed my flight the next morning and had to pay more to get to the airport.

Expedia said they have an airport shuttle but they don’t. I booked and then had to spend a lot extra to get to and from the hotel.

The airport shuttle was broken down. That was the ONLY reason I picked this hotel. Clerk told me to get an Uber to the airport but it was a super early pickup and flight...so I left. Couldn't risk missing the flight. The place was pretty run down. Very disappointed.

No hot water in facility

Immediately upon walking in, the smell of cigarettes and air freshener was overwhelming and sickening—literally burning our noses. Inside the room, the smell wasn’t that much better, but more tolerable to a degree. That wasn’t the least of the issues, though. The vinyl flooring was buckling and wavy, creating a trip hazard. The thin mattress and stained comforter was plain gross. The toilet seat was broken and hanging on one latch. The breakfast was lacking choices of much of anything—the juice machine was even broken. AND the kicker…there was NO HOT WATER in the whole hotel. Their boiler had apparently flooded the night before and they didn’t know when it could be fixed. So, showering in ice cold water was our only option—which we didn’t do! Not ok when we were there for a networking weekend for our business. We decided to check out after that first night, asking for a refund for the second night. They fobbed off the request and never returned our call or money! We probably would have tolerated everything else and stayed the second night, but not being able to shower was the last straw. I understand that things break (the boiler), but they didn’t even try to make it right with the customer. Side note, they were doing laundry in that cold water—I believe all hotel laundry needs to be washed in HOT water.

There was no hot water at all, not during the day or night- no hot water. Lots of bugs, roaches and tiny black bugs I assume are bed bugs. In my 40+ years of staying in hotels, I have never had a worse experience. Staff was unconcerned as numerous guests complained. Truly disgusting.

Staff was friendly but someone tried to break into my car and shattered the rear window.

The dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed at.

The property was infested in bugs within the bathtub. The toilet would not work and the bedding had bodily fluid stains upon arrival. Very disgusted. Informed the staff and he recommended that I leave.

Very clean rooms and friendly staff. The only downside was a damp smell in the rooms. But a good, clean, and reasonably priced hotel can't be beat!!

It was probably the worst room my husband and I have ever stayed in. For a non-smoking property, our room reeked of stale cigarettes and one of the blankets had a cigarette burn in it. There was dried blood on the walls of the bathroom, hairs on the floor and in the bathtub. Loud music in the paking lot throughout most of the night. Unfortunately, we didn't sleep well at all. Only positive, it was right off I-65 and the price was affordable for our quick overnight stay. Next time, we'll pay more to stay in a cleaner room.

Didn’t like it at all, walls are paper thin, inside rooms are old our mattress had blood stains in the side, carpet felt dirty, roaches in the sink and the beeping of the fire alarm on the ceiling. I could tell they clean the halls smells very good but the room are very old. We had to get switched because our bed was very uncomfortable when we layer down it sunk in the middle, broken tile in the bathroom. The only thing I was leased with was the staff they are very friendly and acted quickly when I told them about my bad, even though the next room wasn’t all that great either but the stag yes very friendly.

Wife and I both bitten by bed bugs in two different rooms. Many other issues with both rooms. We contacted Expedia to cancel the rest of our stay and get a refund for the last day. The Super 8 staff confirmed this with me but the refund never came. They are now telling Expedia we checked out on the 30th even though we actually checked out on the 29th.

Just spent the night to get away. Friendly and clean

The property was filthy dirty. Baby cockroaches all over the bathroom. Dirty linens and smelly pillows. Curtains all stained as well as bed cover & sheets. Floor carpet was sticky dirty. Room smells like cigarette. Price was not worth it. Expedia should not recommend it and not be in their list. Not recommended for stay.

The check in took a very long time and once checked in the bed was as hard as a sheet of plywood. The furniture was pretty rough condition and decided to leave my shoes on while walking on the floor. My friend’s room was a little better condition.

For the money it ain’t bad. A refrigerator or microwave in the room would be good but it is what it is

Original rooms tv did not work, they moved us to another room, tv worked but very limited channels. ( missed the game one as need to see) no channel listening room. Bed was ok, shower was just ok.

When we arrived at the property there was garbage out front. They gave us a room on the 3rd floor, we went upstairs. Took us 5 times just to get the key to work. The room stunk, floors were uneven from them giving away. No lock on the door. My husband we down staira to get us another room, they moved us to the 1st floor. Walked in it, room had a funny odor, bathroom was small, stained and the floor was giving away in it. The bed was like laying on the floor. Thankfully we only had to stay 1 night but will NOT be back there and we've stayed in thia hotel before. Not satisfied at all and wanted to request a refund but front desk wasnt no help!

Door key continued to lock us out, but the front desk staff would walk up with us to unlock- EVERY time we returned to the room (some sort of override done from front desk.) Had a last minute night in Louisville. I thought this hotel would be good for the price. I should have paid more and gotten a better room. The room had an AC unit but didn't cool the room.

1st room a/c and tv not working.attempt to change room . Mattress messed up.Had the family pet with not allow on 1st floor. Had to wake my son up and switch rooms with him.No refrig. microwave . Had medication that needed to be refrig.

You get what you pay for and I learned this the hard way for sure. My room was a dive. The lock didn’t even work on the door so the hotel could not give me a key. They had to accompany me and open my room every time I returned. There were no towels on arrival. The tile in the bathroom floor was in extreme disrepair and a hazard for tripping or toe injury. The toilet paper wall dispenser was broken. The safety handle in the tub was broken out leaving a physical hole in the tub. The tub itself had multiple discoloration splotches. The toilet had a slight red smear on the seat. It turned out to be permanent but extremely off putting. The free breakfast was ONLY the DIY waffles. Not one other item. I chose this hotel because it said they had a free airport shuttle in the description. They didn’t and haven’t for years. Just didn’t bother to remove that from the online advertisement. My return flight home had me leaving the hotel at 4 AM in the morning. This was in particular one of the reasons why I wanted a hotel shuttle so that I would feel safe. While I was in the parking lot waiting for my Uber driver in the dark, a van pulled up and a man got out and attempted to trick me into thinking he was my driver and wanted me to come with him. I have never been so scared in my life. I would never stay here again in a million years.

They need to put microwaves and fridges in each room.

The only thing worse than the hotel itself was the rudeness of the employees. I think this is a hotel they use for welfare people. There were people walking around in pajamas and slippers, people milling around outside and in the lobby, the elevators didn't work. It was just all around horrible. We would have left but it was really late and we were exhausted. Good thing we were only staying 1 night.

The least expensive ($65) hotel in Louisville, KY on the night I made a reservation (6-19-2025) Front desk rep asked me for $60 safety deposit (offered to pay with cash or card). I asked to confirm that this charge will e returned upon confirmation nothing is wrong with the room. I paid with credit card and charge was not returned. I had to dispute this scam charge with my credit card issuer. Hotel is not maintained well. Entire facility is dirty, wear and tear signs everywhere. Room was dirty: wall next to bed all covered with marks of dirty shoes and stains, bed headwall picture had a nipple cover sticked to it. Bed cover all in stains and appeared that some were bodily fluids. Sheets had some stains as well. Some of the towels were dirty with black marks and dirt. Breakfast offered is minimal: yogurt, cereal flakes, toast bread, coffee. Avoid this place if budget allows.

I didn't like the staff banging on doors before check out and then yelled at me down the hall.

Became extremely nervous with all the negative reviews, stay was fine, room was clean, staff kind and helpful, breakfast was minimal, but fine nonetheless. Worth mentioning, the hotel does not provide airport transportation and fortunately I found that out prior to arrival, so there was an added expense. Would stay here again.

The check in lady was very rude and passive aggressive. Tried to charge me $60 instead of $50 for security deposit. They charged me for the security deposit but when I called backed to find out why they couldn’t find my reservation even though I just stayed there. This is place is unprofessional and unorganized. It felt close to a halfway house. It didn’t feel welcoming. The power went out while people were making breakfast. I’ve definitely had better experiences. Will not stay again.

Upon arrival I was unaware of a $60 cash deposit before receiving the room key which I had to leave and go the the ATM. (very inconvenient).the guest agent was very unfriendly. I ask him to NOT assign me to a room in the back that faced the expressway...and he assigned me rm 221 which was in the back and faced the expressway! When i entered the room is was not properly cleaned or fully stocked with necessities. The sink dripped constantly. There was a hole punched in the bathroom door and the water pressure in the shower was not working properly, also the tub was clogged and drained very slow which left soap scum and dirt in the tub that I wiped out by hand with a wet towel in order to shower again. The AC unit constantly shocked out and barely was blowing cold air. And the TV had a blue glare that covered 1/4 of the screen and the remote was not responding and it had a rattle inside of it. Also, when I pulled back the bed covering the mattress was very unsanitary and very nasty-it was covered in feces, blood stains and had numerous black burns and spot all over it...I covered the hotel bedding with my personal sheets, and pillowcases however it was a very unrestful sleep because the smell of the mattress was foul and unfortunately I was awakened by several bug bites!! I informed the agent at the front desk of all this and the response that I received was "Speak with the manager in the morning" that made me feel very unwelcome so I checked out a day early a went to the ER

The neighborhood was rundown. We left before breakfast. Couldn’t get the tv to work.

Arrived to cop cars in the parking lot and a group of unknown individuals. Refused to stay there. Both Wyndham and Expedia refused to refund the night. This is not a hotel that should be on the web. Hotel windows were also boarded up. That wasn’t in the hotel pictures. Very disappointed in both companies that they allow this property to be advertised. Highly recommended using different companies

The walls in the hall needs paint to cover up the patched holes. There were large tears in the bed cover, stained sheets, a mattress with plastic covering under the sheets, old, rusty faucets and drains in the bathroom and a wall by the bathroom in horrible disrepair. The loud guests were also annoying. This hotel is not in a safe part of town and is very cheap for a reason.

The room was in VERY bad repair - should not have been rented since the excuse was they were in the process of renovating. I let them know of all the concerns, However, the bed was comfortable and AC was working & quiet. The desk clerks were good but could not do anything about the concerns. Worse yet, I found myself covered with bites the next day. It was a great location near I65 but I would not use it again. JJ

Awful hotel. Do not stay here. Bathroom was dirty. Staff didn’t care when I told them the comforters had cigarette burns in them. Continental breakfast was a joke and the room was dirty and food was all over the counter. One morning, they didn’t have coffee cups but there were lids for whatever reason. Next morning, no cups or lids. The interior of the motel looks like someone DIY’d all over that dump. Doesn’t feel safe to stay there. Louisville residents said it has a reputation for drugs and sex trafficking. Only reason I had to stay there was lack of availability at other places due to a music festival in town.

Dirty hotel. Horrible service, the breakfast was laughable at best. Just 3 different cereals. Coffee was empty. Tv in my room didnt work, they couldnt find a remote to work with the tv. Floors are peeling up. Room was 90⁰ when i walked in. I could keep going. Burning the place down would be an upgrade. I know you get what you pay for, but thisbwas ridiculous.

If you are looking for some place cheap to stay. This is it. Just dont expect it to be nice. The facilities are in disrepair and had a bad odor. When we got to the room, the air was off so the room was stiffling hot and had a stench that never left the room. The shower was filthy, so we didnt even bother trying. You will probably want to pay a little extra and stay somewhere else.

Bugs: alive and dead. Pulled in truck blocking driveway and couldn’t get around them and they were checking in; park then check in. Check in ladies were very nice. Broken furniture, no luggage stand so had to sit my suit case on the bed. Door to bathroom was scratched up. Blower for air conditioner barely worked and wouldn’t blow on high at all. Saw live bug on toilet seat in the middle of the night and dead bugs on bed by window. No Bible. Breakfast was horrible and non existent. Gravy was terrible. Thank goodness there was waffles. No bagels or cream cheese. Don’t stay here there’s better in town and you get what you pay for. We will pick better next time.

Average at best but the morning breakfast was laughable. It was toast & a waffle. If we got cups for coffee we felt lucky.

Basic hotel, decent stay for the money. Staff were great, couldn’t get the TV Remote to work so they gave us a different room. Worse thing was breakfast—no juice, cereal was stale, milk was frozen, no sugar/sweetner.

The breakfast was really disappointing. It had almost nothing, literally one slice of bread and basically just waffle. The coffee was not strong enough, it was more like a tea. The bed had a hole on it. They offered just one towel. The staff was nice and helpful.
