Honestly the only good thing was the free warm cookie and the restaurant inside the hotel, after that it was all down hill. Only 1 working elevator, no fridge in thr room, parkint garage is open for homeless people to walk thru, not enough staff to patrol said parking structure to protect guests vehicles, and far too many homeless folk arpund the area to feel safe

The hotel has green tinted water. We had to get moved to a higher floor to help with the water quality. The staff was nice to accommodate. Our hotel room was comfy for our family. We were there for a business event during the weekend. The hotel makes you park in the structure. During our stay, we had to park in the hotel parking structure and our car got vandalized, window broken, emergency credit cards stolen, and cost hundreds of dollars in damage. The cost to park is about $30 a night and there was no security. The hotel can’t refund me our money because we reserved through 3rd party. I can’t contact hotels.com for a refund to help buffer the cost for the damage.

Made reservations on Hotels.com two days prior to arrival. Good location and comfortable room. Broadway is a short walking distance north where there are shops and some restaurants. The Max is less than a block east of the hotel, and easy to use. Parking is available in the parking structure right next to the hotel for $27 a night. The car was safe, and the parking garage was easy to get in and out of...make sure they activate your room key for this.

It shows some age, but overall decent hotel. Location is near downtown in front of the Lloyd Center. Staff are attentive and nice overall. The facility is showing some signs of age but it's not too bad. The exercise room has water, towels, some machines, a bench, and free weights (dumbbells and kettlebells). We received free basic internet and it was fine. TV has hdmi connection where you could plug your own devices. One of the lamps was out of a bulb, but I decided not to complain about it and forgot to mention it to the facility. They were nice and stocked towels as we requested. AC in the room was good, somewhat modern (not super old units like sub 100$ inn/hotel). Ice machine worked okay but honestly i am not sure how clean it is. There's no water source in your rooms other than the two 6 dollar water bottles so I had to purchase a gallon from the local market nearby. The hilton cookies at the front were very good (lots of nuts in them which me and family love). Overall, other than the facility getting slightly old, it's a pretty good hotel.

NO POOL. Its seasonal so may be open in the summer and that wouldn't be a big deal if I was traveling alone but I booked it so kids could swim on our way through. (All available info online says they have a pool.) Facility is nice. Pretty centrally located downtown. No one at the front desk answers phones. That was kind of odd and inconvienent having to go all the way down there to get information about anything.

Only two elevators working for full hotel, very slow. Everything has a fee. I would probably choose a different hotel if it stayed the same. The room was spacious. Clean. No fridge in room.

Hotel charged over $100 more than quoted on hotels.com for no reason. When I called, they said it will take 5 business days to get the funds back. The hallways held trash for several days and our room shampoo/conditioner/body wash were all empty.

The staff at the Portland DoubleTree are absolutely fantastic: friendly, attentive, and helpful. I was there due to an apartment flood and everyone was so empathetic and helped me navigate needing to extend due to unexpected delays in repair. At the end of my stay everyone knew my name and situation and would greet me and check in on me. The only problem is my room was not very clean: the curtains had large stains, there were stains on the walls (I assume food?) the duvet had an old large yellow stain, the sheets had a few holes, the cord on the phone had some old greasy food on it (I hope it was food). The shampoo and soap bottles had fallen off the shower wall (the adhesive had failed) and were on the shower floor when I arrived. The rest of the place was clean (such as the pool). I was too exhausted to care about the room cleanliness, but it was disappointing since I consider the DoubleTree as a more luxurious hotel spot. The staff were so amazing that it really did even out that issue and I can’t be too upset!

Our stay was nice but I wish they didn’t thrown away my breast milk pumps. For a Hilton brand, I was surprised because of the dilapidated condition of the property and its quality of products. Our room was clean but we did find an old piece of poop stuck to the shower curtain. There was a ceiling piece that was open and not closed all the way, you can see the black dust on it. We requested for a fridge and microwave to keep breast milk for our baby and we got it right away and delivered by a very wonderful staff member. The microwave came with a broken door though, it was a very inexpensive microwave, which I don’t care too much about because we were not there for long but I am sure Hilton/Doubletree could have replaced broken appliances that barely cost anything to begin with. In our haste to pack and leave with our 3 young children, I had forgotten my breast milk pump bottles in the fridge. I called them about an hour or less later to check the fridge and please save the bottles for me to pick up. They said they’ll look for it and call me. The call never came an hour later so I had called back and they said they didn’t find anything. That’s just pretty horrible because they just threw it away and lied about it. As a mom with a baby to feed, I was pretty upset and frantic. It was my fault to forget it but it was in the fridge, any mother could understand my distress. it could have been kept in there lost and found, they were milk bottles. It was disappointing.

a bit work out Room - no soap at sink (used body wash that is attached to shower wall), one of the bottles had fallen off - glued to tile. Electrical outlets are really old - computer or cellphone cords do not "attach" Room was not cleaned during three day stay Elevator was broken on Sunday - no signs where the other elevator would be (house keeping attendant was kind enough to walk me to where the second levators are - otherwise I would have walked down 8 floors with a suit case). Checkout - asked for a receipt and attendant says - "you are all set" and I asked if I will get the receipt (parking plus room) emailed to me and she goes yes, and Im asking her what email she has on file and she has none. I still do not have the receipt for expenses so no I have to call them tomorrow. Would not recommend

Our room was $176 a night so we thought it’d be nicer. Unfortunately our room had mold growing in it, warped walls and a random hole in the ceiling. Would not stay here again. I will say the bed was comfortable and staff were nice.

Check-in was so easy and quick, even when it was a busy day for the hotel with an event going on. The hotel is slightly older than some places I've stayed, but it was clean. Our room was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. For our purposes, the location couldn't be beat. I do wish the room had a mini refrigerator and microwave. Those were the only things I was disappointed about.

This was my first time staying at a DoubleTree and my first time staying in this area of Portland. It was generally a fine stay. Nothing extremely bad and nothing extremely good. Check in was easy, staff were very helpful. Parking was very close by, $27/night wasn’t too bad. The parking garage elevator wasn’t working on the night we checked out, but thankfully we parked on the 2nd floor. The room was fine, clean, the bathroom felt updated, the bed was really firm. The room doesn’t have a mini fridge or a microwave, which wasn’t an issue for our one night stay. Overall it was an average hotel stay, I do wish the rooms were a bit updated like the bathrooms were, otherwise we would stay here again. I LOVED the cookie lol

Don't stay here. We arrived at 5pm (an hour after check in) just to find out our room was still not ready and about five other groups were also waiting on their room! The front desk people weren't the nicest, didn't explain anything to us (how parking worked, not welcoming at all, etc.). And the room didnt have a refrigerator! I definitely wouldn't stay here again.

I had surgery nearby and needed to stay overnight before driving 2 hours back to my home on the coast the next day. Will at the front desk ensured I had a wheelchair ready upon check in and allowed early check in so I could get into my room upon arrival to rest. Eman was extremely courteous and careful assisting my wife with placing me in the wheelchair. He also made sure our bags were brought to the room immediately. The professionalism and compassion demonstrated by both Will and Eman was refreshing and deeply appreciated. I will definitely stay at this hotel again, especially if I need additional medical based assistance!

The property and room were average, but the staff who helped me upon check in seemed confused. First, I was given a room that already had another guest (both the other guest and I were very confused when I opened the door). Next, I had requested housekeeping for a specific day. On the day of, I returned to my room in the evening and found that housekeeping had not come. A different staff member immediately told me that housekeeping was still making their rounds, but after I insisted they check, they let me know that my room was never scheduled for cleaning. Overall, not the best stay.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, this stay was entirely… ‘meh’. We weren’t able to check into our room until almost an hour after check in. Thank goodness we rode the elevator with other hotel guests because as we were heading to our floor, we all discovered we were booked in the same room. Another ride down the stuffy elevator into the stuffy lobby to talk to a stuffy front desk person (probably the 5th random person I spoke to, who also had no idea what was going on) I was told ‘hehe glad you didn’t walk in on them’. No accountability taken what so ever. We finally get to our room after having to ask and be reassured no other guest would now have keys to our room to be greeted with a hot, sticky, and dirty room. We just traveled 7 hours so at this point, we’re just thankful we have a room. But there was hair in the shower, obvious pink mold growing along the grout, dirt in drawers, and things on the carpet. The cleanliness was the least of our worry because you can tell the housekeeping department is short staffed and under appreciated because they’re working one person at a time to flip over an entire hall until 6 or 7pm at night. As a previous hotel housekeeper, I know they at least touched what was important to meet unrealistic goals set upon them. Room service menu prices listed didn’t match the prices we were charged. The parking is lack luster but you sure will be charged any time you move your car. Atrocious. No easy access to hotel.

Check in was at 4pm, our room was not ready until 6:20pm. Apparently they overbooked rooms without enough cleaning staff. Not my problem, and not much was offered in compensation. We had a big concert at 7pm and we were unable to change and shower after a 5 hour drive. Terrible feeling not being able to change and rest before our $400 concert. Half the room cost should have been refunded or another stay, something more than free parking.

The hotel was fine for what we needed. The room was ok, clean but old. The area surrounding the hotel felt very unsafe. There are homeless camps everywhere, literally. There is a park across the street that looks nice enough until you look closer and see questionable people hanging out with masks on their faces covering everything but their eyes. The Portland area in general has gone massively downhill over the years, no matter where you turn there are tents set up with people who are struggling. I was traveling with my dog and had to take her for a little walk while staying there and even though it was a fairly nice Saturday afternoon I felt uncomfortable and unsafe for me and my dog. I was worried that she was going to pick up something unsafe off the ground and eat it. I walked her for about 40 minutes and I felt very relieved to get back to the hotel safely.

lovely experience. hotel & staff are great. the only reason for less than 5/5 is that the neighborhood is a little unsafe, uncontrollable and no fault to the hotel, but true. i had a safe stay but i noticed 2 other cars in the garage had been broken into.

Great hotel in downtown Portland. The reservation was over booked but they gave us two separate rooms, free parking and breakfast for the inconvenience. The parking garage was connected to the property and secure. The rooms were very clean and the restaurant served a great breakfast!

Restaurant didn't seem open, always looked dark and no one there. Bar was open and had great drinks, limited menu but good appetizers. Despite numerous families with children at the pool, didn't use pool due to the amount of kids there, it was very quiet in our room. Slept great. Clean, convenient location despite a few tents on the sidewalks it felt safe enough to walk to restaurant for dinner. Would stay again.

The hotel was absolutely fine but the room a bit outdated. The breakfast was wonderful, though, the lobby very nice, parking easy, and the staff very friendly. Some rooms must have a wonderful view of Portland but we were not on a high floor and did not get to enjoy it. We walked to downtown but it takes a good 30 minutes.
