Very groovy vibe. Nice helpful staff, gave us lots of options for dinner within walking distance. We had a double with a kitchen wish we had more time to stay and explore the city. Nice roof deck lots of outdoor space. Nice continental breakfast.

A very nice boutique hotel. The location is fantastic. Short walk to nice shopping and restaurants on 23 Street. Trolly stops right in front of the hotel and gives free, safe transportation to downtown Portland. The staff are very nice.

Decent price. Check in and check out was easy. Staff was friendly. Great location; close to streetcar stations and walking distance from food and shops. Streetcars are free with your stay! The hotel is kept clean. The room was cleaner than most hotels I’ve stayed at. In the room, the kitchen appliances and kitchenware were up to date. I appreciate their complimentary hot coffee machine and salt water taffy in the lobby. Breakfast options were good for complimentary (cereal, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs, cheese, oatmeal, granola bars). Only downfalls were that the floors are extremely creaky. Every morning I could hear the people walking around upstairs (very early). The pillows were too soft making it hard to get comfortable every night. Balcony didn’t have chairs.

This property was great - clean, great breakfast, helpful staff. The streetcar stops right out front and connects to other lines and buses so you can get around without a car. The parking lot is small, but easily accessible right beside the office. There are plenty of cute restaurants and convenient/grocery store that are easily walkable. The area is clean and quiet.

You can see the hotel cared about every detail once you stepped in the room. If this is your first time in Portland like me, you would appreciate yourself by choosing this hotel. The hotel provides guide books made by themselves, city brochures collected for you, and even free streetcar tickets (for 2.5 hours/day)! The property itself is old, and the floor can create funny noises, but you can see it's been maintained with heart and enthusiasm. Oh and did I mention they have a nice kitchen? Overall this is a unique and special place, not your normal standard hotel.

Loved the room, it was cute and comfortable! The kitchenette was fully stocked. We had a second floor room and the patio was nice with a large door you can keep open in the evening. We especially loved the rooftop deck.

Clean, colorful, felt very safe, front desk friendly and always there for us, great breakfast with GF bread, fresh ground coffee all day, hopped on the streetcar with our free passes to get oriented. Loved the in room kitchen!

The shower head pipe was broken, the place was not the cleanest, the tv was super old, the heater was super loud and kept blowing cold air then hot then cold even though only heat was on. Carpet had stains. Tub was not clean.

Great area in the city where it is located. Rooms large, slightly dated. We were on the first floor and faced the parking lot. We did not get a lot of sun so the room was dark. The other side of the property has larger windows and balconies. I suspect that is the better side to be on.

My wife and I liked the funky retro style decor and atmosphere of the hotel. Having a complete kitchen in our room made it easy to prepare meals so we would not have to eat at restaurants all the time. Also having close access to the train made it easy to navigate the downtown area. Even though the train could be quite loud when it went by the hotel, it did not disturb us while we were sleeping. One small improvement to the room would be a full length mirror outside of the bathroom. All in all, this was a great property, and my wife an I would stay here when we visit Portland again

I loved the funky vibe of the place. Really friendly people work there. It's close to transit and restaurants. Great breakfast in the mornings. The only complaint I have is that you could hear every footstep of the guests above me.

We were pleasantly surprised. It was like having a studio apartment with all the amenities. Kitchen, dishes, full size fridge, dishwasher, stove and oven. It’s in a nice area with lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Clean and quiet. Check in was easy and parking was very accessible. We definitely will be back

The Inn at Northrup Station is my favorite hotel. My husband and I have stayed there many times. The rooms are spacious with great floor plans: two queen beds, kitchenettes, and couches. I love the imaginative decor. And the neighborhood is great--many restaurants and interesting shops. Plus close proximity to forested urban parks with miles of trails.

Great location and cool funky hotel. The only issue is the floors and walls are thin, you Can hear everything at night (I.e. people walking above you, in the hallways etc.) loved that parking was included and this place is by everything. Will stay again with ear plugs.

Decor was very nice. I reserved via a third party site and did not get the accommodations that I was certain I signed up for. The property staff was not helpful with this issue. I was willing to pay for an upgrade without question. Neither the property staff nor the third party staff were very helpful. I also felt that the bathrooms were below standard and needed to be upgraded. I personally do not like liquid soap and that was all that was available. The breakfast area was very crowded and not set up to encourage good traffic flow. The third flow outdoor space needed more shaded areas.

I arrived early to Inn at Northrup Station, anticipating that I would just drop off my bags and come back later for check in but they were very kind and able to get me into my room right away. The room was spacious, clean, complete with a kitchen, desk, sitting area, and bathtub. I loved that the offstreet parking was included and that fresh coffee from a local roaster was available 24/7. It felt very safe and secure as well. The neighborhood is walkable with local businesses nearby. The tram is right outside which was really convenient-the front desk will even give you complementary tickets which I used to visit Powell’s Books. There is some noise/gentle vibration from the tram outside, but it didn’t keep me awake/wake me up. Overall, I’ve found where I’ll stay during visits to Portland from now on!

Real shame as clean, comfortable room and it started well. This hotel was my fave hotel but wouldn't be if this was my first trip. Money on 'being quirky' but lost sight of helpful staff and basics like coffee and any breakfast bread or milk towards end of breakfast time and for locking guests out of the breakfast room the minute breakfast stops. I can stay for half the price nearby and get breakfast. Staff not bothered when I had to complain again. Cleaners shouting up and down the corridor early on a Sunday morning when people may want to rest. Staff didn't ask how my stay was when checking out. After the two days, no surprise she didn't.

We have stayed there at least 7-8 times over the past 8 years and until this visit enjoyed our time there. We were gone for 6 hours from 9am-3pm and room was not serviced. Gave up and just asked for towels … 2 days in a row. Extremely noisy next door neighbors, very loud heating unit going off and on in fairly short bursts over and over. Was looking forward to the waffles for breakfast but those are discontinued. Will find another hotel option for our future visits to Portland.
We have stayed there at least 7-8 times over the past 8 years and until this visit enjoyed our time there. We were gone for 6 hours from 9am-3pm and room was not serviced. Gave up and just asked for towels … 2 days in a row. Extremely noisy next door neighbors, very loud heating unit going off and on in fairly short bursts over and over. Was looking forward to the waffles for breakfast but those are discontinued. Will find another hotel option for our future visits to Portland.

I would completely recommend staying here. It was a super cute place in an area no one told me to check out but I loved. Continental breakfast was serviceable and the sound carried in the rooms. I would definitely stay again, though i might ask for a room on the top floor. Lastly, the people were all very helpful and really seemed dedicated to doing a good job.

Northrup Station is a sort of funky hotel in a great location--Northwest Portland, near the many shops, restaurants and other attractions of NW 21st and 23rd Avenues. And, as the name indicates, it is at the 21st avenue stop of the Portland light rail system, which is very convenient for getting around inner Portland. The rooms were very spacious and well appointed with comfortable chairs and a couch. A very nice breakfast is included but the coffee offered is NOT good. The hotel wears its funkiness and alternative nature proudly, but it is a bit run down, although very clear and well maintained. Free parking is another perk.

Decent price. Check in and check out was easy. Staff was friendly. Great location; close to streetcar stations and walking distance from food and shops. Streetcars are free with your stay! The hotel is kept clean. The room was cleaner than most hotels I’ve stayed at. In the room, the kitchen appliances and kitchenware were up to date. I appreciate their complimentary hot coffee machine and salt water taffy in the lobby. Breakfast options were good for complimentary (cereal, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs, cheese, oatmeal, granola bars). Only downfalls were that the floors are extremely creaky. Every morning I could hear the people walking around upstairs (very early). The pillows were too soft making it hard to get comfortable every night. Balcony didn’t have chairs.

My wife and I have stayed at The Inn at Northrup Station a number of times. The decor is fun and funky. The rooms are spacious having both a sitting area and a full kitchen. We love the location being close to 23rd (and 21st) with numerous stores and restaurants. With the cable car stop right outside the hotel, transportation (free) to downtown is easy and convenient. One area that could use an upgrade is the breakfast. It is very carb heavy with nothing cooked fresh. Even the waffle maker, which they used to have, is no longer available. However, there is a good selection of fresh fruit. Very pleasant staff. We will likely stay here again.

It was near several places around the city where we could either walk, use public transportation or a quick drive to everything. The folks were welcoming and the breakfast was great to get us by in the morning. Having a small kitchen was also useful, didn’t know we needed one but it came handy.

This is a cute, quirky hotel. very comfortable room (except the desk chair which was oddly hard as a rock). The staff is friendly and helpful, and the coffee is as promised -- really good. Looking forward to returning.

The stay was great! The area is in is so good for walking to restaurants and shopping. There’s a Trader Joe’s nearby and the full kitchen gave us the option of cooking there. The place was very cute eclectic decor and the basically studio apartment was spacious and functional. The only downside was that there isn’t a sheet tray or cheese grater in the kitchen and the continental breakfast was very lacking.

Everything was wonderful. My son and I loved the streetcar theme—and the near-constant presence of them just outside the front door! The neighborhood is leafy and full of restaurants. And maybe most importantly, the hotel has the best coffee I’ve ever had a hotel. Worth an extra star for that alone.

Everything was just perfect and everyone was so kind. We loved it and everything you need is nearby. It's perfect. We will be back again for sure, when it's warm. It is completely outfitted with everything you need, stove, fridge, dishes, and a very comfy bed. Portland people are very nice.
