Unfortunately we did not have a good stay at this property due to its condition and set up. Parking was extremely tight and limited and there was not enough for all guests, so you had to find parking elsewhere, walk blocks back to the hotel and request reimbursement, or stay in a spot if you got one and take Ubers, another expense. The sidewalk outside the hotel was closed so you had to walk in the street. The rooms were in pretty poor condition, they haven't been updated in a very long time, cigarette burns on the carpets, tons of stains, rusty fixtures in the bathroom, broken or missing cabinet doors. Our assigned room's toilet broke twice, the second time at 1 am, so we had to move rooms at 1:15 am. My friend stepped on a twisted metal wire poking out of the carpet which hurt but luckily didn't break the skin or there would have had to be tetanus shots as well. In order to get the heater to stop blowing hot air we had to turn the AC on. Street noise very loud. Etc. The staff were polite.

Okay for the price. Drug deals going on in the parking garage that is “monitored” and paid for . Should be free to park there. Room was fine but beds are very uncomfortable

Staff was great, room was clean. Rooms were very large as well. It's not a hotel with a pool or hot tub. We were in a room next to the street. The door didn't close all the way so there was a draft. It was very noisy with the sound of the street and trains.

Old. The parking is a joke! The building is old. The lobby is old and smells. The elevator is old. The carpet is gross. I was charged $17 to unload my baggage for a room I didn’t stay overnight in!! Was never given back my $17 for that parking fee!!

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. However it is quite loud all night since the train goes by and rings a bell every time. The hotel is also clearly aging and feels a bit—-off. The location is amazing but finding the parking lot was challenging and they charge extra to park.

If you stay here be aware of 2 things: 1. $17 parking fee, Stay on even sided rooms, toward city, otherwise, constant grating noise of street cars and traffic through the walls. You will not be able to sleep, pay the extra $11 dollars to stay on the city side or you will not sleep. Otherwise, typical budget hotel!

Staff was friendly but building was rough. Buckets were placed in multiple spots to catch dripping water from ceiling. Buses ran nearby but it sounded like all the windows were open in the room, no sound deafening at all, parking was very limited and $17 per night. The door to the room was not a great fit, you could see light from the hallway on all sides. Wasn’t the best place to stay. But for the price.. I guess you get what you pay for.

From the moment I walked in the hotel I instantly regretted my choice of hotels. The pictures look decent, but there was a smell the moment you walked into the lobby. It was a perfume/air freshener, but it was clearly covering up a stinky smell. The elevators had quirks to keep the doors closed and my first room had a terrible urine smell.... it's a carpeted room. I asked for a new room and got one, but it was also dirty. No carpet, but grit on the floor and debri in the bathroom. I stayed one of my 3 nights and will never go back.

This place was not clean, particularly the carpet and the shower. The area is shady and night and very noisy, worse of all we found bed bugs in our room. Manager did issue a return but I would not stay here again.

The location is great if you are attending an event at the Convention center or the Moda. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Check-in was easy. The facility itself is very old and worn down. The room was dirty, a used cup under the bed, hair on the bedding and all over the shower walls. The carpet is stained and has cigarette burns, it did not appear to have been vacuumed. The beds are old, not terrible, but pretty worn out. The bathroom ceiling was moldy and cracking/peeling. The wall by the window in the room was bulging out and there was a piece of the plastic baseboard in the bathroom that was away from the wall and a tripping hazard. There was one towel and no tv remote. It is inexpensive, but totally not worth it. The pictures online do not seem representative of the facility at all. I would recommend you spend a little more and look elsewhere. That is what I will be doing next time.

Unfortunately, the hotel is very dated and some cleanliness can’t change. But the bed skirt, floor and vacuuming was too dirty for our stay. The manager did move us to a new room that was better. I ended up not staying the second night.

I didn't like the accommodation as the carpets are messy and smelling badly. Room was filled with bad odour. I was informed that car parking was not available and has to be paid at the hotel. This was not clear on the website when I booked the accommodation. Totally a bad experience

This place was absolutely awful on all levels! I’d give negative stars if I could. It was beyond disgusting and dirty. Dirty floors, clothing under the bed, gross windows, falling apart shower, carpet falling apart and has definitely not been vacuumed in quite some time! It was terrible!

This place was so dirty,the bed liners had wax or gum or something on them,not only did the shower not drain but there was hair all over in it,the walls were dirty. It was the most disgusting hotel ive ever seen. Completly disgusting

The bed was comfortable. My two main complaints were that there were several spots on the carpet and the shower surround was showing its age. I could also hear the late night/early morning trains. The only other thing is that the elevator floor was very sticky. Checkout was a breeze. The Inn is near a Max line so that was quite convenient.

We've stayed here several times before throughout the years, and it wasn't too bad. This time around, it was rough! Seems like this place is not doing so well. Toilet & shower water pressure was weak. Pillows & beds weren't so comfortable this time. Funky smells throughout the hotel (lobby, rooms, hallways, elevators). Front desk personnel were nice and helpful. Area is walking distance to good restaurants, shops, etc. Also, sort of rough neighborhood this time around, didn't bother us though. Good enough for a one night stay but that's it.

Nice front desk, poor guy was overworked and busy. Older hotel but clean except for the carpet. Amazing view from the 4th floor. Unfortunately the A/C was off when we arrived, easily 90 degrees in our room, took about 3 hours to cool down.

This was a great location for us and we booked it based on the recommendation of a friend who had stayed there a couple of years ago. In retrospect, we should have checked out the reviews more carefully. The hotel is in decline and is showing its age. The carpet and furniture was stained in multiple places, the shower leaked badly, one of the beds creaked loudly and the doors seemed poorly secured. While the cleaning staff were pleasant and did the best they could, the lack of maintenance showed in the hotel. The hotel Wi-Fi was terribly slow and sometimes non-functioning. Also, there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke in the air in the morning and evenings which makes me think that people were ignoring the no-smoking policy. On the positive side, the desk staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful. Overall, we wished that we had spent a little more money to get a more comfortable place for the time that we were there.

Very convenient location for a place to lay your head after a concert at the MODA center. Staff was helpful. Room was weird— a mix of fixtures and furniture that were easily 50 years old and new stuff. The bed itself and the bathroom seemed clean (thank goodness). The carpet had cigarette burns and worn spots. There were two different mystery substances on the curtains and a greasy hand print on the wall art. Wouldn’t stay there again, but it ended up working out fine since we didn’t spend much time there.

The staff here could not be nicer. The location is terrific and the room is large with a very comfortable bed. The bad news is the non-smoking room smelled strongly of smoke (plus the window wouldn’t open and there wasn’t a vent option on the air conditioner), the facility needs updating, and the hotel is on a street car line and is noisy.

Great place! The room was very clean and comfortable (with excellent air conditioning), and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They even provided handouts that showed a map of the area along with restaurant recommendations and sights to see. About a 12-minute walk from an indoor shopping mall, as well. The best is that it was only about a 5-minute walk from the Moda Center where we saw a concert. We felt safe walking back to the hotel at night afterwards, too, as the area was well-lit and had wide, spacious sidewalks. We didn’t have to drive the entire weekend. We will definitely be back.

I was fortunate to find a room here on short notice after needing to find a place to stay close to Legacy Emanual Hospital. They have a parking garage on site that is well lit and monitored which put my mind at ease. I had read reviews concerning the street noise due to the metro train, but did not notice it much and the streets were quiet at night as far as foot traffic was concerned. The views of the city at night were a much appreciated bonus. They allow pets and were very kind and welcoming to our dog when we walked in the door. The staff were lovely to deal with and made everything so easy and stress free for me at an otherwise stressful time which i could not be more grateful for. The main front desk person we saw the most was Tara, and she was an absolute blessing. I would definitely stay here again.

Usually a nice clean room from past stays.....the carpet had obvious removable stains and there were large crumbs around the baseboards. Caulking needs to be redone in the bathroom and bathrooms detailed. It is a very affordable and walk-able option to any events at the Oregon Convention Center otherwise!

Comfortable stay and excellent value, super convenient for attending conference at the Convention Center just across the street. Get a room on the side facing towards the Convention Center / downtown Portland, there were no noise issues and we had a nice view. Yes it's older carpeting and other furnishings but we were just as happy as if we had been at the Hyatt Regency and at less than 1/3 the price. Front desk staff were super friendly & helpful.

It was a good place to stay by the Moda center. Hotel is pretty old, but the bed was decent and comfortable. However, the noise from the street came in the thin damaged windows and it was so loud. It definitely needs some upgrades. And I wish they served some sort of breakfast. All in all a pretty decent stay and fine for the price.

Overall, the hotel met my expectations. I was in town for a function at the Oregon Convention Center, which the hotel is located across the street. Parking was plentiful and never an issue. The only negative aspect regarding the hotel was there was no continental breakfast or similar available to guests.
