Great hotel! We liked the cozy design and the local art. It was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant had great food. The staff was very friendly, and the valet parking was an excellent added service. The location was convenient, but the staff also made it feel very safe, and the rooms were quiet. I would definitely stay there again, and would recommend it to others!

Great location just off SW Broadway, within walking distance and/or Uber ride to most points of interest. The hotel is well maintained, valet parking is convenient, restaurant in lobby great for a meal. Staff are excellent - friendly, professional, and very responsive. I prefer the corner king, upper flow - never disappointed. If you want a view of Mt. Hood, request an upper floor room facing East. Looking forward to my next adventure at the Dossier.

Solid property in a walkable downtown location adjacent to lots of public transportation (including the train to the airport). Friendly, accommodating staff, with a gym and restaurant/bar on site.

The hotel was really clean, the room was nice and spacious, and the staff was super nice. It's also in a great location only a few blocks from Burnside. The only thing that was a nuisance was that there was only one working elevator for 14 floors and it took sometimes five minutes to get an elevator. Otherwise I would definitely stay again!

Great place to stay. My wife and I had a corner room on 11th floor. Room was comfortable, spotless, bathroom was bigger than most with very large walk in shower. Staff was helpful and friendly, and there was a small but adequate gym. Location was very good. Only negative is expensive ($65) daily valet parking but that’s all hotels in every major city, and we parked in a nearby indoor lot for $15/day that staff told us about. Would definitely stay again.

Very clean, we felt safe, should have a NORMAL coffeemaker and small microwave in room to reheat coffee (we bring or buy our own for trips over 2 nights). The weird outdated coffee machine in the cabinet proved useless, refrigerator in cabinet put out so much heat it was redundant. Insufficient towel provided upon check-in, so called twice before we received more. No do not disturb signs for door, so maid service had to be requested, then the day before check out when we didn’t need service, they came in and moved all our things. We didn’t need maid service for our whole stay and did not request it for the last day. Waste of resources. Also the elevator malfunctioned when we were there and it was frightening as it came to multiple abrupt jolting stops coming down from the 14th floor. Kid at the desk laughed and shrugged his shoulders. Our AC didn’t work the last day we were there and couldn’t be repaired quickly enough, so the nice repairman Shawn just set it on constant cold because it was really hot outside. Overall it was ok, but we weren’t thrilled. Clean room and comfortable bed is about the only positives. Restaurant plated loud music that was not our taste the first night we arrived and we were tired, so we had to leave and eat across the street. Perhaps turn down the music to a level for everyone’s enjoyment. The valet parking is ridiculously overpriced at 60$ a night, 35-40 should be max. Maybe higher at peak times, but really??? Thank you

Very friendly staff. Location is great. We went to a concert at Moda center and was very easy to use rail system to get there and back again. Rooms are great awesome views and staff was off the charts in helpfulness and friendliness. Great restaurant in hotel as well

The Dossier is centrally located with valet parking and easy access to restaurants and shopping. Rooms are clean well appointed the elevator is fast. Best of all, the staff are very friendly professional and efficient. I stay here often. Thank you Dossier for another great day

I really liked this hotel. It was very well maintained, had a friendly and accommodating staff, and a great location in the heart of the downtown area. I especially liked the large bathroom with both a stand-alone shower and a deep-soaking tub. A restaurant/bar next to the lobby added a convenient dining option.

We were on the 15th floor. Windows only open out a bit. AC was inadequate to keep the room cool as was the window, so we were hot. Bed was comfortable but bedding was too hot for the level of cooling the room provided. Staff were helpful and nice. We especially loved going downstairs for drinks and Amanda took great care of us. We had breakfast in the restaurant downstairs twice and it was excellent. Valet at $60 per night is a bit steep.

Great location in town, lovely staff, and the corner king suite is just amazing -- very spacious, with a good view of downtown. The bathroom is clean with a very nice shower.

First time in Portland. Hotel location is great for exploring downtown on foot. Friendly staff and super clean rooms.

We stayed in room 1805 which was ok. But the room had a distinctly musty smell in one corner, either mold or old smoke.

Found clipped toenails on carpet when we checked in our room! Not happy! They put us in another room, but what a hassle. No wash cloths left in room.

The Dossier was the okay-est hotel I’ve stayed in. It was definitely not the cleanest hotel and rooms were in dire need of a deep clean. They were also extremely hot and I ended up having to switch to a second room which took about a full day to cool down. Wouldn’t stay in again

Double charged. Dirty bathroom and water flow was BROWN. Gross!

Great hotel centrally located and well maintained. I reserved a corner king and requested "upper floor", I received a corner king pent-house, it was the best room I've had in years! 19th floor with floor to ceiling arched windows overlooking DT Portland, I called it the Aviary. Check-in & Check-out, and Valet parking was seamless and hassle free. Restaurant/Lounge is convenient, open early until late, generic menu choices well prepared. Staff (front desk, valet, restaurant) were all friendly and professional and checked in at every encounter to see how my stay was going. Greatly appreciated. Looking forward to my next stay at the Dossier.

Quick but amazing stay. Bed was plush, shower was amazing, I didnt want to leave.

AC didn’t work properly in the room is was very hot sleeping conditions, they weren’t able to fix this during our stay.

Rooms were clean and had a lot of space. The bar was open and had a nice menu. Staff was very helpful.

I have to give ultimate snaps to Mica at the Front Desk. His effusive and charming demeanor really set the tone for a wonderful stay from check-in. Fab location and extra spacious rooms.

Really cool vibe. The beds were super comfortable, with plenty of pillows. Loved the large soaking tub. Only real con is the soundproofing isn't great. Could easily hear my next door neighbors talking.

Only complaint was the AC didn’t work very well. Temperature in the room was tolerable with AC full blast. Hallways were fairly warm and I would not have wanted to hang out up there. Staff was phenomenal.

The staff is very professional, courteous and helpful. Shout out to Sophie (or Sophia) at check-in/out and the gentlemen working the bar on Saturday night.

The hotel was clean and in a decent location, and under better circumstances, I might’ve recommended it. Unfortunately, the way staff handled a serious issue left me very disappointed. After a 9-hour drive with my teenagers, we arrived around 9:30 PM. I was surprised by an added fee of $33 “resort fee” — not a tax, just a hotel surcharge. I had already paid $250 via Expedia and assumed that covered most costs other than parking. It felt just deceptive. Then things got worse. The toilet was backed up from the start. Someone came with a plunger and said it was fixed, but later it overflowed. I went back to the desk, but was told maintenance wasn’t available until morning and the hotel was fully booked — so we had to spend the night with sewage on the bathroom floor and no working toilet. In the morning, maintenance showed up unannounced while we were getting ready. He couldn’t fix it either, so we packed up and checked out — still using lobby bathrooms. At checkout, the front desk agent was unaware of the situation. She refunded the $33 fee, but nothing more. Expedia eventually got involved and helped with the refund, which I appreciated — but it shouldn’t have come to that. Mistakes happen, but how you respond matters. In this case, the hotel fell short.

During the first night of a two-night stay, i discovered there was a small, yippy dog in the room next door. Like a smoke alarm with an ailing battery, the dog yip about every 45 minutes through the night. When I inquired at the front desk how long the party was staying, the front desk immediately whisked me off to a room at the other end of the same floor. It was perfect. To that end, I have been staying a lot of hotels lately. The Dossier has the most comfortable beds by far.

On June 9th, after checking out, I realized I had left an important suitcase at the front desk. Despite calling to confirm our check-out, the suitcase was not returned to us. The suitcase contains critical items for a patient, including a dental retainer essential for their treatment. I have repeatedly contacted both the front desk and the manager about this urgent matter, but received no adequate response. The front desk gave me a contact number for someone named Carl, but my calls went unanswered. On June 10th, the front desk assured me that the suitcase would be shipped by Friday. However, there was no update or communication by then. When I called again on Sunday, June 16th, a female staff member said the suitcase could be shipped that day. During this call, I overheard a male front desk employee say, "Oh, she's calling again," followed by a disrespectful laugh. This behavior is utterly unacceptable for a four-star hotel. This experience has been distressing, especially given the urgency of the items in the suitcase. While the manager has been courteous, the front desk service has been deeply disappointing. The male front desk employee's behavior on Sunday at 10:33 AM significantly tarnished my impression of the hotel.

Great attention to details that matter to guests. Crown moldings, framed artwork, rain shower plus wand, comfortable bed with cozy covers and best quality sheets, bathtub plus separate walk-in shower, and much more. Valet parking a must in this unsafe area but is $60 a night. Nice bar with friendly and accommodating staff throughout.

Best is the service, thank you Mac at the front desk, the cafe staff, and each and every parking valet who were the first to greet me, took excellent care of my vehicle and wished me well when I checked out. Truly the best place downtown. Looking forward to my next adventure.

Downtown Portland is sad. We did not feel safe in the areas surrounding the hotel. We were told by multiple people to park in valet, the smash and grabs were common in the streets. Homeless people were everywhere, that’s not the issue though, the issue was they were extremely high on every drug imaginable and we didn’t want altercations as we saw a few. The restaurants close early so we ate at the hotel restaurant. It was good. Expensive and not a huge menu but we enjoyed it. There’s an amenity/resort fee. Not sure for what because there aren’t any amenities.

This is a really nice hotel in the downtown area. It’s close to everywhere I wanted to go. I would stay here again.

Street was full of scary homeless people and I was told not to park in the area.

Room was nice and comfortable. Part of town wasn't the best for safety. The valet was convenient, but overpriced and wasn't seen in the description.

Great location, hotel room and amenities are nice and convenient. My only complaint is the hotel seems understaffed.- we waited 10 minutes for someone to check us in (the lobby was empty and employee no where to be found), and 15 minutes to get a coffee served in the restaurant (we ended up canceling the order and leaving).

Food locations were close by and within walking distance. I made a circle around hotel to get to coffee, dessert and food. The hotel also has restaurant and the food was good there as well. I didn't like that our shower drained very slow. But, the bath tub was huge and relaxing to use. Beds were comfy and the staff was extremely nice.

Lovely property, great bar and excellent restaurant. It was a 1 night layover and I appreciated the late check out option.

Very nice hotel! Great location. The employees were very nice, rooms comfortable and clean. Attached restaurant was also great. The only negative was the $55.00 a day valet charge, I could of not paid, but parking is a bit challenging.

Great experience with this hotel! Very welcoming upon arrival and from the valet to everyone at the front desk we were greeted with warm smiles for the humans as well as my dog Daisy! We were all pampered and well cared for. The bistro in the hotel was very good with a nice happy hour. Would absolutely stay here again.
