Établissement situé en face d’une gare , avec toutes les nuisances possibles et inimaginables. Bruits de voitures, moto , sorties de discothèques…. Aucune insonorisation dans les chambres De la saleté dans la chambre et en particulier dans la salle de bain . Un seul ascenseur fonctionne sur les 2 avec les câbles apparents . Il n’y avait pas de draps et serviettes nous avons dû les réclamer. Le parking le plus proche est à 800 m Bref à éviter

Bed was too soft. There were mosquitos in the room. You had to make your own bed and the shoer did not have a hilder so you have to hold the shower while showering The booking is misleading as we were looking for a hotel with parking but the hotel sends you to a parking lot. You do get a discount on parking but still misleading.

Gute, zweckmäßige und preisgünstige Unterkunft. Sehr zentral gelegen, externe Tiefgarage mit vom Hotel rabattierter Parkgebühr ganz in der Nähe.

Check in was easy enough.. didn't realise it was a hostel rather than a hotel.. so my immediate reaction was to find another place to stay.. But we were given a room on the top floor.. The room was clean and comfortable with basic facilities with ensuite bathroom.. A little worn but seemed adequate for our one night stay.. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable and clean.. TV had English channels which was a bonus .. The location of the hotel was opposite the train station.. A few minutes walk from the zoo and about 15minutes walk to the centre of Antwerp.. Shops and restaurants nearby.. In the beginning we were apprehensive about staying but ended up enjoying our stay and absolutely loved its location.. No WiFi unfortunately having technical problems apparently.. Although parking is advertised as available but there is not.. Fortunately we have a blue badge and parked directly outside the hotel on the path Didn't receive any tickets for parking while we were there overnight.. So again a bonus...

Het hotel werd verbouwd en omdat er 1 van de 2 liften defect was moest iedereen incl arbeiders met materiaal met dezeflde lift zodat er steeds lange wachttijd was om de lift te gebruiken. De kamer was klein en de vloerbedekking had vlekken net als de vloerbedekking in de gangen en het ontbijt restaurant

I beleive the property is undergoing some renovations. The room was outdated and could tell furniture had been moved around and electric outlets were in odd palces in relation to beds. Bathroom door didn't close all the way but did lock. No AC so we opened windows at night, was comfortable and became mostly quiet eventually. Overall, for the price, after reading reviews I knew what to expect and wasn't disappointed. There were plenty of food options withing walking distance and Grand Centeal Statio. Right across the street. Parking was offsite and around 25 Euros a day. It was a comfortable enough stay, but if you're looking for anything close to fancy this isn't it. We would stay again though.

This was an overnight stop and so was OK, but it's not a place for longer stays. The hotel was under renovation mid-June 2025 (which isn't mentioned on Hotels.com) and so it was a bit rough & ready with cracks in walls and workmen in the lifts etc. Rooms basic, beware no AC. It was cheap and seconds from station so did the job. Bring earplugs!

As a tech, the feeling of being an unwitting beta (or alpha) tester was pervasive. Check-in featured a single agent, juggling me and rooms yet to be cleaned with stressed discussion with construction/repair crew, and needing to call someone twice for information -- once for those before me, once to verify my claim that service dogs stay free by law (though he smiled and said "cool, i learned something new today," ive never encountered someone at check-in unaware of that before). the delays caused me to quickly notice the lack of any seating in the lobby. eventually was informed my room is clean and ready and given keys. two tiny elevators serve 8 floors. hallway carpets stained. walked past my room because door was open and being cleaned..? small bits of stuff still on the floor afterward. no airco but an old squeeky fan helped. my bed at home is softer than hotel beds, sometimes its good to have that difference for a back reset, but not so hard that my waking thought was sympathy for detainees who sleep on floors! besides the beds and elevators, maybe the rest is rectified in coming months.. but i wouldn't open like this and open myself to early public criticism. 100 euro a bit steep for this experience; im not picky and i generally go with the attitude that almost anything works for 1 night, but i wont try that here again! sorry folks....

The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Shower walls and doors show they are not deep cleaned between guests. Generally the hotel has a stench and the carpets smell horrible.

Infested with bed bugs which means my children aged 3 & 9 were bitten anll over their body all night, with bed sheets covered with blood, Had to keep going to reception 3-4 times because I couldn’t into my room with the key cards, woken at 7am by drilling, one fan in the room which was a complete safety hazard, blade was fitted wrong way around so blew backwards, safety mesh not secure so blades were exposed, the base was broken so it didn’t stand correctly and one turned on it was so unsecured it was moving all over and sounded like a helicopter and moved like it will take off! No one seamed to care and the response was I’ll let the manager know, no care in the world. However the only positive thing I could say is the gentleman who was on the desk on the evening of check in, assisted me to find a night shop to buy milk for my child.

The cleaning staff tried and were so friendly, but the hotel is terribly run down. Even with the windows shut there were insects everywhere and left with bites all over me. And says no smoking but the rooms, towels, hallways reeks of smoke.

Wij komen sinds lang al elk jaar een keer naar Century hotel wat A&O hotel is geworden. We hebben er altijd genoten van ons verblijf maar (laatste 2 x geen Century meer) is het wat ons betreft flink achteruit gegaan. 1. Schoonmaak de badkamer lag vol met zwarte haren en het afvalbakje op de badkamer was niet geleegd. 2. Kamer is ook niet schoongemaakt tijdens ons verblijf geen schone handdoek wissel. 3. Het ontbijt was ook niet meer wat het is geweest. In principe kon het hotel daar nog niet eens zoveel aan doen als welde gasten die met regelmaat etenswaren met handen pakten maar ook weer teruglegden.... Conclusie dat wij na jaren hier terugkomen ons een volgende keer eerst 3 x zullen bedenken maar waarschijnlijk zullen kiezen voor een andere accommodatie. Overigens was het personeel aan de balie nog steeds wel uiterst vriendelijk. Dus cijfer voor kamer en schoonmaak dit keer een 3/4, het ontbijt een 6 en de medewerkers aan de balie nog steeds een 8.

Bedbugs, thin walls, terrible smells, old carpets. Not a pleasant stay.

The hotelroom was very dirty. I notified the servicedesk that my room was very dirty and they immediately gave me another room, which was an upgrade from the room before. However the new room was more clean, but still dirty. The furniture and carpet had stains. The bed was clean though and slept nice.

There was blood all over the bathroom sink when we got there. So the hygiëne is bad and the bathroom was not cleaned propper.

Disgusting. Found a nail clipping in the bed. Which shows no one cleaned it. Found hair in the bathroom, again which shows no one cleaned it. Not sure what sort of cleaning job they do. But disgusting is what it is

Vi har virkelig boet mange steder efterhånden og dette sted er det værste vi nogensinde har oplevet. Vi ankom til fuldstændig nedslidt værelse, som var møgbeskidt og hvor de havde glemt at lægge sengetøj på halvdelen af sengene (familieværelse med 4 senge). Håndvasken var slået i i stykker og havde huller, gulvtæppet og vægge var vildt beskidte og så kravlede hele badeværelset med små ubestemmelige dyr. Stikkontakterne var løse/faldet ud og flere steder sad der blottede/afklippede ledninger. Morgenmaden var ikke imponerende, rengøringen i spiserummet bestod vidst mest af at børste ting på gulvet og da vi var færdige med at spise den sidste dag så vi tjeneren rydde et af de andre borde og han lagde de uspiste hårdkogte æg tilbage i buffeten… 😩

The hotel has many good points. It's really close to the train station, you only need to cross the road. Internet access works perfectly. And it's quite cheap. But that's all. It's noisy, very noisy. The walls are made of dry-wall. You can hear everything all the time, it's awful. It's not very clean, you get the feeling that despite the room being cleaned every day, it's still quite dirty. The shower is tiny, a big person won't fit there well. And I didn't pay for breakfast so I can'evaluate it. It's important to know everything before deciding to stay at Century Hotel, this was my evaluation.

Incredible location - across the street from centraal station and within 5 minutes walking of another major bus stop (both are perfect for day trips to places like Bruges, Ghent, etc.) staff is great. Very cute piano in the breakfast area that I enjoyed playing every day. Very much a no-frills European hotel room. Small, but very serviceable. I felt safe and relaxed there.

I am very dissatisfied after a 4-night stay. The double rooms are cramped, and there were no fresh towels provided during the entire stay. There was no soap in the bathroom, and the shower drain was almost clogged. The reception area looks worn down. The bed was cheap and very hard, with poor-quality bedding and duvet, and no mattress topper. The staff appeared uninspired and disengaged. Breakfast was acceptable, but very basic.

Das Zimmer war ok, Betten sehr hart und unbequem. Am Fenster war die Klinke kaputt, wodurch es sich nicht schließen lassen hat. Durchgängig offen - wodurch es nachts wiederum sehr laut war. Leider auch keine Klima, somit an sonnigen Tagen zu warm im Zimmer.

Very convenient for the main railway station. However, quite noisy if you have a room facing the station, as there is always activity outside. The hotel does not have air conditioning and if you are on the top floor and it is hot weather, then the rooms are very hot. If it is not hot, then probably will be fine.

The room (506) was simple, a lot of street noise, no air conditioning. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Kamer waren niet schoon , overal vlekken op het tapijt en in de badkamer. Sommige personeelsleden erg onvriendelijk. Op de site stond uitchecken 14u om 12 uur kwamen ze aan kloppen dat we weg moeten en wilde ons ook nog extra laten betalen voor een “late” check out!

Le personnel a été à l'écoute pour adapter mon séjour selon les contraintes handicapantes, j'ai pu ainsi changer de chambre.

Vriendelijk personeel. Op vragen werd adequaat gereageerd, daar was niks op aan te merken. Maar alles was erg oud. Geluid of straat was goed hoorbaar. Het hotel ligt direct naast het station. Het is een hotel dat vanwege de prijs in trek is bij jeugdgroepen, die komen 's nachts laat thuis met lawaai. Ook was er een dronken dame binnen gekomen die 's nachts stennis maakte op de gang. Het personeel probeerde haar wel te verwijderen. Dus dat was goed. Het bed was opgemaakt met een te klein laken, waardoor wij uiteindelijk op de vieze onbeschermde matras sliepen. Toen wij daar iets van zeiden, werd het bed meteen opnieuw opgemaakt met een groter laken. De matrasbeschermers zouden in de was zitten.

I had a terrible experience. Supposed to check out at 2pm they told me I have to leave 10 Am. When I showed them the email conformation I was told that this is not their problem and I have to pay another 14 euros If I want a late check out…

une seule personne à l’accueil à l’heure des arrivées, les clients attendent. Quand j’ai fini par avoir ma carte clé, je suis monté à la chambre mais la carte ne fonctionnait pas. Retour à l’accueil. toujours qu’une seule personne. j’ai du aller chercher dans les étages une employée qui est retourné e à l’accueil pour activer la carte. personne ne s’emeut ni ne s’excuse. pour ce désagrément due à un oubli de l’employé seul et debordé.

The staff are kind.

In average good value for your money. Do like my stays there. Good location in the city center. Small issue is the frequent malfunction and required renewed activation of the card when you want to access the room.

What I like the most was the check out at 2pm, thats why I decided to stay here.... But nevertheless on Sunday around 11:45am a Lady came to the room super noisy, I was the only person in the room and I was sleepy so She wake me up saying Check out......... I told her my check out was at 2pm....... She didnt say even sorry and nothing and lefts the room...... After she still was around so basicly I felt She was rushing me to left the room and She could clean it.

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but this stay was truly unacceptable. The hostel provides only a mattress, and guests must make their own bed. The room and bathroom smelled like smoke. Bunk beds were unstable — any movement on the top bunk caused loud creaking. Key cards often malfunctioned. These issues were tolerable compared to what happened next. When I returned at night, someone had taken my assigned bed and moved my belongings. I had checked in that afternoon and was clearly assigned a lower bunk. I made the bed and left some items there. The person in my bed didn’t speak English and insisted I was wrong — which I wasn’t. Shockingly, the front desk allowed them to change beds after check-in and even handwrote a new number on their card. This completely disregarded my booking. That person even claimed my belongings were theirs. I grabbed what I could and went to the front desk. Their solution? Move me to another room. I was forced to switch rooms without recovering everything — including my bed sheet and a backup phone. Staff said there was nothing they could do and had no extra bedding. Later attempts to retrieve my items failed — they said the person was asleep and couldn’t be disturbed. I ended up in a room with no sheets, missing belongings, and no support from staff. Letting another guest override my bed and ignoring theft is unacceptable. I absolutely do not recommend this hostel poor management, zero accountability, and lack of security!

Très bon emplacement face à la gare centrale. Accueil agréable et efficace. Chambre spacieuse et lit très confortable. L'insonorisation est moyenne, entre les bruits de couloir et la cour intérieure qui résonne. Très bon rapport qualité/prix pour le centre d'Anvers.

This hotel doesn't pretend to be what it isn't: but for value for money, convenience for getting around (which was what I needed), and a very good breakfast, it was ideal for me.

You pay what you get. Just next to the side entrance of central station. The front desk staff greeting all the time at their desk. The bed is really spongy so it depends on people’s preference. Simple neat breakfast but good coffee machine.

Very convenient location, can be loud in the night but that's to be expected so close to the Central Station. The room was in excellent condition and very cozy! The staff was very kind, from the front desk to housekeeping. I booked breakfast for my stay and everything was very well stocked with a good variation of foods to choose from

We booked for 2 rooms for 4 adults,upon arrival got told 1 head 1 room for 4 adults and were placed in a family room with 2 small beds and bunk beds for 2 grown men They staff were rude,the bar was advertised but were told it never opens.The restaurant was advertised but did not exist Breakfast was poor with little choice unless you liked eggs salad toast and cold meat and cereal or yoghurt Our overall experience was terrible,nobody slept properly due to noisy guests and unsoundproofed floors and walls Would not recommend anybody staying there ever.
