This is a beautiful old style hotel! The renovations that were done were exquisite and we enjoyed our stay very much we booked a corner room which was very spacious with great amenities..we liked the easy parkng and accessibility. Do not hesitate to book a stay at this “back in time “ gem!!!

Very nice hotel, very clean and the staff was very helpful even with a slight issue with my booking. They were very accommodating. The only thing that wasn’t great was the condition of the elevators. They were old and dingy. Other than that great place to stay

This is a gorgeous old building. The hotel itself is great. It seemed like they were very short staffed, especially in the restaurant where one person was both cooking and waiting tables. Also there is no free wifi, even for guests.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times. Never any issues. I will say the elevator could use some updating. Very small and a little warn out. Rooms are great. Always a view of the city and beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. Air conditioner works great. The shower is amazing-hot and lots of water pressure.

When I entered my room, it had a weird smell. I did not figure it out until the second morning. Some leftover food from the previous customer had been left in the microwave. Clearly, the room was not properly cleaned before I moved in. The phone did not work. I called the front desk from my cell phone, but no one answered. If you need anything, you need to go downstairs and request it in person. It's a really old building. One of the worst hotels I had ever lived in the last ten years.

Only way to describe our stay was disappointing. We stayed 3 nights and we were out of the room all day. We requested housekeeping both days, once from the front desk. That didn’t happen and since that didn’t work we requested cleaning directly from a housekeeper the next. Nothing. After a long day all you want to do is take a nice shower and go to sleep in a made bed. I had to go to the front desk and request clean towels. If you are planning to stay here I would recommend a to revise your plan and stay somewhere else.

Room was great as usual. Problem is other guests making noise at 3am one night and 4am the next. Front desk did quiet them down, but only after we called. Also TV screens went on in the middle of the night.

The single room is a small hovel. TV is 40’ away, which is the length of the room. Seriously. Always get a double. You’ll be quite disappointed, like I am right now.

Room was fine except the heat did not work. Did not spend much time in the room before going to sleep and woke up to 65°, adjusted thermostat from 70° to 72° and it didn’t kick on. Another room I was in had a broken TV, another stated they did not have a refrigerator.

Rude staff. We arrived at 10 pm for late check in on August 23rd. The main hotel door was locked and no one would answer the phone number provided on the notice at the door. Mercifully a guest arrived who let us in with their key. When staff was advised they don’t acknowledge or apologize. Instead in response said “what’s up” rudely and behaved the same way with another guest after us. The elevator was dirty and the room basic. The place is expensive for what they offer, which is minimal.

Amazing stay. Warm welcome, Jose at guest services was very friendly and inviting. Very professional and great conversation. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Hotel restaurant had great food and drinks. Definitely will be back. Definitely recommend others to stay.

We were very happy with the upgrades of the hotel and the rooms since the last time we stayed there 11 years ago. Everything was clean, comfortable and well maintained. It was nice to stay in a place with some character and history too. The best thing about the stay was the staff. Virtually everyone, from the front desk, maids, bartender at the restaurant, and even the maintenance guy we met in the elevator was genuinely nice and accommodating to us. The only suggestion I have is an upgrade of the tp.

Called to change my check in day more than a week prior to arriving. Was told that I was all set. Called two days before arrival to confirm this again, again told I was all set. Receive a check in email that morning after getting off the place Upon arrival to the hotel they tell me my room is not available ( there with an entire team for hockey tournament) was unable to stay the first night and had to walk to another hotel with my 7 year old and all of our luggage Did not offer any sort of compensation just an ‘upgraded’ room that they tried to charge me additional for as well Worst hotel experience.

Our room was absolutely magnificent! We had a small sitting area with a separate shower and a Jacuzzi tub. Everything was clean. The bed was very comfortable. We dined at the hotel restaurant and it was the most delicious food we’ve had in a very long time. Our server for dinner and breakfast were both amazing. We could not have been happier with our stay.

The hotel itself is beautiful the rooms are lovely. The restaurant iconic is very cool and the food is delicious and they have a great happy hour drink special every night. The area around the hotel is nice there's a lot of nice restaurants and shops. I came to stay here for my son's homecoming weekend he's a student at Utica University and the school is just 7 minutes away driving distance. I will definitely stay here again and I would recommend it for anyone to stay.

Everything was amazing with the exception of the hotel resturant breakfast. 45 mins to receive our food while only one waitress worked serving 6 tables. I would have nothing but sympathy for understaffing if I had received the actual meal I ordered. Loaded home fries, which should have been home fries with sausage, cheese, peppers, onions with a side of sour cream… were really French fries with cheddar bacon and a sprinkle of parsley I would have asked for a correction if I had an additional 45 mins to wait. If the menu item was unavailable they should have said something beforehand.

Very disappointed that we could not have breakfast here!!!! Only one person was on duty and could simply not keep up as waiter, cook and server. After 20 minutes we gave up and left…. The evening service for food and drink was great. We’ll survive but we are now way off schedule….

This is such a unique property since it's one of the tallest buildings around it - views from our 7th floor room were amazing all around. Beautiful lobby, lots of snacks and drinks for purchase. The bar has fantastic happy hour specials and the food at the restaurant was very good!
