Whilst a large property it never felt crowded or overrun with people. With 4 pools catering for a variety of holiday makers, we were spoilt for choice but the adult only pool was a great bonus.

Fantastic property. The room was big and clean, with a king size bed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of pools to swim in and other facilities too. Will definitely stay here again next time I travel to Malta.

A very large well positioned hotel in the lively town of St.Julian - spotlessly clean, and well managed. Pool options for families and an “adults only beach club” - 3 bars, 4 restaurants, spa, gym etc. Breakfast is full of choice. Did not eat at the hotel for any other meals. As a female solo traveller I was well looked after and felt safe in the hotel. Staff need commending for their attentiveness and honesty.. my housekeeper found a ring I’d misplaced in the room and a faulty shower was fixed promptly. Not so good - due to the position of the hotel near Paceville (nightlife area) - a large part of the hotel is not quiet at night if you have a room that’s higher than the 50’s on each floor (i.e I was on the 8th floor .. in room 856) you can hear the music and party goers until around 5am. It’s a very long walk to breakfast and the pools from these rooms too.. about 7 minutes. The weekends at the hotel was crazy busy with weddings and conferences .. this meant that the main bar (Quarterdeck) was closed for 2 nights due to “private functions”. The adults only “beach club” turns into an outdoor club at the weekends which makes it chargeable to enter.. leaving only a terrace bar for hotel guests. I feel this was a compromise for the people who were paying hotel guests. Overall a great hotel .. just be aware of noise and choice of open bar options at the weekend.

Hilton Malta impresses with elegant halls, beautiful facilities, and truly 5‑star breakfast and pools. The location is excellent, offering easy access and great views. However, the rooms feel very basic in both design and amenities, lacking the luxury touches expected at this level. The contrast between the common areas and the rooms is clear, and the price of the stay is extremely high compared to what the rooms actually offer.

This is a beautiful hotel and staff are efficient and friendly.Pool area is good and normally plenty of sunbeds.We have been coming to this hotel for many years and look forward to our next visit.The only concern I have is that having paid to stay in an executive room there is access to the lounge.The food available seemed to be less varied than previously and once again little for vegetarians.Having at times previously eaten breakfast in the main dining area I am aware of the excellent quality of the food this is not replicated in the executive lounge

The Malta Hilton is a perfectly fine Hilton property. Like most Hiltons, it feels very institutional, is always a tad messy (why can't they vacuum the carpets more!) and the service is good, but not memorable. The dining room feels like crowded cafeteria. But at least the gym and spa were particularly good.

Wouldn’t rate it as a 5 star would say between 3-4. We had a premium room but it wasn’t great needed a deep clean and quite a lot of bits needed fixing, bed was awful and we had ants in the living room which was nice! Service in bars was slow waiting 20 minutes for a drink. Just not a good service really and cleanliness.

The Hilton Malta is a strange one. The room was nice however the closed in balcony was very hot. You apparently have to request an open balcony on your reservation. The hotel itself is an oasis next to a very busy built up area. The few restaurants within walking distance are all very nice, however if you venture down into the harbour, expect the usual tourist trap of bad service and inflated prices. As for the hotel itself, it certainly has it's own quirks. The main pool is fine and there's no need for the crazy 7am dash for a sunbed, as the staff will always find you a sunbed and a parasol in the unlikely event of there not being one available. However the adult pools the sunbeds have cushions whilst the ones as the main pool don't - a quirk! We stayed in an Executive room on the 9h floor. It took 5 attempts and the intervention of customer services in the UK to fix the light on the balcony - not impressed! Breakfast in the Executive Lounge was disappointing. I told the Duty Manager on check out that they should consider putting an eggs chef into the Exec Lounge. The answer was that they had tried it, however with a bit of though, they could replace the underused second coffee machine with an eggs station. As a result I had breakfast most mornings in the busier main restaurant. Would I stay there again - I'm not sure to be honest. I would rate it as a 4.5 star as opposed to a 5 star. Good but could do better. Finally, 12 noon check out is too early for a late flight home.

Staff was very nice except one person at the reception. When declining my late checkout request, staff added: ‘…but you can still store your luggage here.’ This came across as slightly patronizing — luggage storage is standard worldwide and not a meaningful alternative. With more polished communication the hotel would easily reach true 5-star level.”

I booked a deluxe sea view room. The room I got was beautiful, clean and newer than other rooms. The sea view was partial and there was a big building structure right that blocked half of the view. Upon speaking to the desk I was transferred to a different room which had better sea views and when in balcony you can really enjoy the sea view and beautiful sunset. The second room was an older room and too my shock the bed creaked every time I would move or turn in the bed. I couldn’t sleep the whole night. I complained to the front desk who said they will take care of it. No activity took place so I called again in afternoon, stressing I couldn’t sleep and the problem has to be fixed. After that the manager and his team did fix the issue partially by using screws and left a note in my room. The bed still made some noise when you would sit on it but at least not when you were in it and turned, so I did get sleep that night. Next day was checkout and front desk called to see if all was going week and when I contemplated late checkout the lady was more than willing to esp as a good will gesture because of the issues I had. But I didn’t need the late checkout. At checkout the lady was not very polite and said but they fixed the issue with no acknowledgement that that should not have happened. This is a 5star hotel and sleep is the main reason one books a room. The quality and customer service was not acceptable and hence this review.
I booked a deluxe sea view room. The room I got was beautiful, clean and newer than other rooms. The sea view was partial and there was a big building structure right that blocked half of the view. Upon speaking to the desk I was transferred to a different room which had better sea views and when in balcony you can really enjoy the sea view and beautiful sunset. The second room was an older room and too my shock the bed creaked every time I would move or turn in the bed. I couldn’t sleep the whole night. I complained to the front desk who said they will take care of it. No activity took place so I called again in afternoon, stressing I couldn’t sleep and the problem has to be fixed. After that the manager and his team did fix the issue partially by using screws and left a note in my room. The bed still made some noise when you would sit on it but at least not when you were in it and turned, so I did get sleep that night. Next day was checkout and front desk called to see if all was going week and when I contemplated late checkout the lady was more than willing to esp as a good will gesture because of the issues I had. But I didn’t need the late checkout. At checkout the lady was not very polite and said but they fixed the issue with no acknowledgement that that should not have happened. This is a 5star hotel and sleep is the main reason one books a room. The quality and customer service was not acceptable and hence this review.

Das Zimmer war schön und groß (auch großes Bad)sowie die Zimmerreinigung täglich top, wobei die Zimmereinrichtung etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Negativ zu erwähnen war die Balkon Schiebetür welche sehr schwer zu öffnen und schließen war. Das Hotel selbst sehr groß und modern eingerichtet. Das Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Außenanlage verfügt über mehrere Pools und Bar‘s mit Service. Sonnenliegen und Schirme waren mehr als genug verfügbar. Was für mich jedoch sehr negativ war, dass man die Außenanlagen nur über die Hotel Eingangslobby erreichen konnte und es in der Außenanlage keine Umkleiden gab. Es ist nicht gerade angenehm wenn man über der nassen Badebekleidung trockene Sachen anzieht. Mit nasser Badebekleidung durch die Lobby zu gehen um zum Hotelzimmer zu gelangen war nicht gerne gesehen und auch nicht erlaubt. Für ein Urlaubshotel, so mag ich es mal bezeichnen, in der Kategorie 5 Sterne , besteht zumindest meiner Meinung nach dringend Handlungsbedarf. Auch wenn es ein schönes Hotel ist würde ich dieses nicht nochmal buchen.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The staff were incredibly attentive and made our stay absolutely perfect. The rooms are beautiful and well proportioned. Food and drink is excellent, particularly the lovely Quartermaster bar over the marina. Ana in the restaurant was a lovely host and made special arrangements for our daughters birthday. Prakash deserves a special mention as well for being incredibly helpful.

The good: - Spacious, comfortable room with sitting area - Pools and gym both good - Housekeeping staff excellent, room very clean - Lovely, helpful concierges - escorted me to my destination when I was lost! Not so good - Large, impersonal hotel. - Front desk staff variable in terms of helpfulness - They have some sort of automated mini bar and tried to charge me for multiple items at checkout, none of which I had used. I was just moving stuff around to fit in my milk! They had to send somebody to the room to check all was present and correct and then they removed the charge. Made me feel like a criminal. - The hotel car park is part of a grim underground car park and the signage is rubbish. Took us a couple of days to work out where to park and how to pay. Front desk should explain this better at check in.

Check in experience not great, 30 min wait, no welcome drink offered, arrived at 11am so room not available until 3pm. When we asked for room at 3pm was told still not available. Finally got room at 4pm. Only staying one night so not great. Weather was stormy on and off and they closed the beach club at midday just as the sun was coming back out. Not ideal as only adult only area. 100’s of kids at main pool which remained open through the weather. All the decent spots for sunbeds at beach club now only for paying day guests not hotel guests. All had reserved signs on and all were empty. Disappointing as we love to sit by the waters edge and now you can’t. We will now book somewhere else because of this. The Westin next door for example. Such a shame as this has changed since our last visit. I guess all about making more money but to the detriment of hotel guests.

Almost great! Reception was excellent start to finish! Abishek the frontdesk trainee was amazing & exceeded our expectations. The lounge access were amazing especially the staff there! The only disappointment is the service at breakfast. The staff called Nikki was very rude and racist to me. Any guest shouldn’t be treated and spoken like the way that waitress has spoken to me. I’ve ordered 4x sunny side up eggs from my family at 9:45am 11th April one breakfast morning as I was told by staff that we can order sunny side up from waiters and did not have to queue on omelette station. So I’ve ordered from her. We are almost finish with our bfast so I went to find Nikki. She replied to me saying word per word, “why don’t you get it yourself?”. I was shocked how she didn’t even have a courtesy of informing me with what was going on if the eggs were even ordered or not?! Same time her supervisor I think bald man in suit who has my eggs only had 1 and I’ve ordered 4! He knew how the waitress made me feel and tried to make up by sending something in my room and I said an apology from that nikki will be sufficient enough. Surely if I’m english person she will never talk down on me like that. I never had the apology and I’ve mentioned this incident upon check out and Hilton Malta didn’t keep in touch with me. I love Hilton and I’m a member and to be treated so badly on my holiday is something not really nice. I don’t want to call the whole hotel racist because of that 1 person. Learn

Location: Hilton Malta is located next to a lovely marina with few high end restaurants located there. Getting to hotel/roads can be slightly tricky at rush hour but not a big deal Hotel itself: Lovely building, with loads of amenities as you expect from a high end hotel. Nice and clean rooms(we were in a family suit). Staff are all attentive and smiling and want to help as much as they can. Few times we were not guided to the right information, this can only be due to lack of experience. Food: we were on a half board package. Breakfast and dinner was really good, quality of some dishes could be better but the variety of food and desserts was great. The restaurants were all nice, comfortable and well-staffed. We didn’t particularly liked the dinner at Neba. In two occasions our requests at breakfast and dinner were ignored. Minor complain about the buffet is that any drink you order for your table ( tea, water, soft drinks-we didn’t drink alcoholic beverages) will be charged to your room. This was not mentioned to us, and Expedia did not mention on their booking and we ended up with a bill for the beverages, something that we didn’t know we have to pay as no one had mentioned, so slightly unhappy with how we were misinformed. Spoke to duty manager at the checkout and didn’t feel she really appreciated my concern as a guest, despite repeating few times that I was unhappy with this. Overall a good and nice stay but can be improved.

Perhaps the best hotel in Malta, The Hilton Malta, at St Julian’s bay is a lovely hotel with friendly and professional staff, its Exec lounge is one of the best I’ve visited. It’s a moments walk from bars, restaurants and public transport.

The Hilton Malta was perfect for our 1 week holiday, from the variety of the pool areas it offers to the food, service, leisure facilities and dining options. The food, drinks and cocktails are reasonably priced and excellent quality. The staff that work there all make a great effort to make the experience memorable. Busses are a 5 min walk and it’s very easy to get around the island. Uber and Bolt very cheap as well. This hotel is in the better part of St Julian’s and is minutes away from a beautiful harbour.

A very large well positioned hotel in the lively town of St.Julian - spotlessly clean, and well managed. Pool options for families and an “adults only beach club” - 3 bars, 4 restaurants, spa, gym etc. Breakfast is full of choice. Did not eat at the hotel for any other meals. As a female solo traveller I was well looked after and felt safe in the hotel. Staff need commending for their attentiveness and honesty.. my housekeeper found a ring I’d misplaced in the room and a faulty shower was fixed promptly. Not so good - due to the position of the hotel near Paceville (nightlife area) - a large part of the hotel is not quiet at night if you have a room that’s higher than the 50’s on each floor (i.e I was on the 8th floor .. in room 856) you can hear the music and party goers until around 5am. It’s a very long walk to breakfast and the pools from these rooms too.. about 7 minutes. The weekends at the hotel was crazy busy with weddings and conferences .. this meant that the main bar (Quarterdeck) was closed for 2 nights due to “private functions”. The adults only “beach club” turns into an outdoor club at the weekends which makes it chargeable to enter.. leaving only a terrace bar for hotel guests. I feel this was a compromise for the people who were paying hotel guests. Overall a great hotel .. just be aware of noise and choice of open bar options at the weekend.

L'Hotel Hilton è una bellissima struttura, situata in posizione privilegiata, a due passi da pub e locali serali e da un punto di transito di tutte le linee degli autobus. La struttura rispecchia gli elevati standard Hilton, sia per bellezza e comfort che per la qualità del personale (particolare menzione per il personale della reception, assolutamente disponibile). A noi è stato fatto anche un upgrade di stanza non richiesto (sorpresa inimmaginabile e assai gradita). Consiglio di optare per una stanza vista porto (bellissima marina di Portomaso), piuttosto che vista mare (affaccio sulla piscina e relativa confusione, mentre il mare si apprezza poco). In definitiva, Hotel da consigliare sicuramente.

This was not mentioned to us, and Expedia did not mention on their booking and we ended up with a bill for the beverages, something that we didn’t know we have to pay as no one had mentioned, so slightly unhappy with how we were misinformed. Spoke to duty manager at the checkout and didn’t feel she really appreciated my concern as a guest, despite repeating few times that I was unhappy with this. Overall a good and nice stay but can be improved.

The hotel was very beautiful, very relaxing with stunning views. The bedroom was spacious with a large balcony area facing the pool and the house keeping team worked very hard each day to clean it. Staff were very attentive and helpful. One area for improvement would be the food service. Stayed half board, and on the first night the steak took more than 40mins to arrive. Service in the restaurant seemed very slow despite it being almost empty. But service improved later on. On the other hand, the Thai restaurant was busy, beautiful decor and food incredible, definitely worth the visit. Also the dinner a la carte menu could have been more varied, maybe a new special each day. Ordered room service and the club sandwiches were burnt. Fedback to the service manager who seemed keen to address these issues. Would also say that we didn’t particularly find the buffet breakfast enjoyable - crowds of people each morning, and items weren’t topped up regularly eg orange juice stations and smoothies. However great selection of food, omelette stations and staff coordinating the tables smoothly. All in all, a pleasant trip, with the room itself and the hotel property being the star of the show.

Overall, we had an amazing holiday. The location was beautiful, the breakfast was excellent, and the hotel exuded luxury. The pools were enjoyable, though the food and drinks were quite expensive. We dined at the hotel several times during the week, twice opting for the evening buffet and twice at the Blue Elephant Thai restaurant. There are some excellent restaurants in the area outside of the hotel, highly recommended that you explore the local eateries. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff was fantastic. We also enjoyed a jazz night in one of the bars, which was a delightful experience and definitely worth attending if it’s available during your stay. The reception staff was courteous, professional, and very helpful. The Prosecco that greeted us after a long journey was a welcome surprise. The only negative experience occurred on our final day after checkout. We checked out at noon and decided to have lunch at the reception restaurant, When I went to the bar to ask for some drinking glasses, the bartender was about to hand them to me when the floor manager, Rajendra, intervened and insisted I be given paper cups instead. I found this behavior very disappointing. I had to remind him that we had just spent thousands of pounds at the hotel and were currently paying for a substantial lunch. He reluctantly provided the glasses, but the incident left a sour taste at the end of an otherwise enjoyable holiday.

Lovely hotel and at the right location to visit nearby. We were there last week for 6 nights and we are vegetarian, no meat or fish and we were really struggling with our food in the evening buffet. There are lots of Indian chef in the hotel and lots of people like vegetarian curry and veg dishes so couldn’t understand why they weren’t being cooked now and again.. We have stayed in Hilton in other countries but we haven’t had this much of a problem as we did in Malta, even Pizza was not in the buffet whilst we were there… We even told the chef on the first night that we are vegetarian and would appreciate if they would accommodate us with a vegetarian variety but we were very disappointed…

Nice property. I would say this is a good 4 star and no way a 5. Food decent but buffet dinner quality average at best. Good breakfast. Indoor pool good but way too busy. Ask facilities for kids lacking-no staff had a clue about kids club or a games room for youngsters and kept sending me and kids off in various directions in search of nothingness which was very poor. This is decent as location is good but I will try another 5 star next time.

This is a beautiful hotel and staff are efficient and friendly.Pool area is good and normally plenty of sunbeds.We have been coming to this hotel for many years and look forward to our next visit.The only concern I have is that having paid to stay in an executive room there is access to the lounge.The food available seemed to be less varied than previously and once again little for vegetarians.Having at times previously eaten breakfast in the main dining area I am aware of the excellent quality of the food this is not replicated in the executive lounge
