Room was great. Coffee pot, frig, microwave, lights, A/C, electrical outlets all working great. Note front doors and desk close 10pm to 8am, but you have 24 hour key access to building. Located close to the casino, the shops, gourmet coffee shop. and major flea market area.

This hotel is off the main street and a little old and starting to show its age. Front desk service was underwhelming. They are closed from 2200 until 0800. Hopefully you don't need any help. We hsve been coming here for quite sometime but will probably stay somewhere else. No breakfast either.

We have stayed here before under a previous name. They did not have a permanent person at desk. The young man who checked us in was very nice. My husband locked the keys in the car and he tried to help find someone his boss reccommended but that didnt work out. That was not their fault. I did leave information of who to contact if anyone else had that problem. The room was very clean and bed was awesome. It is a good area and it was very quite. It is convenient to get to other areas. We planned to hang out at the pool but it looked like it had been neglected for a while. They put chemicals in it but it really needed o be cleaned so we didn't want to take a chance. We did go to the breakfast the morning we left but was glad I had brought some cookies etc. I didn't expect a lot but it was a disappointment after staying there before. We had a really good trip and the hotel was clean and room was great.

Got to hotel and they had locked the lobby before they normally did. I had to call a phone number and wait for someone to come unlock the door so that I could check in. I was told they decided to lock the doors early due to not having many reservations. The hotel must have changed hands because the normal lady was not there anymore. She was always nice and if we weren’t there by a certain time she would call and check to see what our ETA would be. She said she always liked to check on her people.

Didn’t like of how the toilet wasn’t cleaned before us in the room.

The bathroom was dirty. Dirt on floor in front of toilet.

The hotel was overall suitable at very reasonable price, there was nothing that would cause me to avoid this hotel if I am in the area again. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, which are the two most important factors for me. The staff was also pleasant and helpful, which was nice. There are a few of areas I see room for minor but meaningful improvements, however. There was an odd, overpowering smell of curry in the hallways, but it wasn't noticable in the room, thankfully. Also, while I didn't expect a free gormet breakfast, a few protein options would be nice (hard boiled eggs, yogurt, ect.) instead of simply offering carbs and fruit. It would also be nice if the TV's supported streaming services like Netflix, Disney, Hulu, Fubo, ect.

Check in was easy, room was immaculate, clean and comfortable. Everything in place that was needed.thry said Breakfast was available and the gentleman in the morning went out of his way to make sure breakfast was there. Actually saw elk on the property in the morning. Will definitely reserve rooms here again.

The main thing about the place is that it was very stuffy. While the AC was on the room was ok but as soon as it kicked off the air got really thick and the windows didn't open. The breakfast offerings were not horrible but not great. Mostly sugary things, no proteins. There were elk in the grass beside the hotel which was kinda cool. There was a rather gross skidmark on the toilet when we checked in. That was an unpleasant find. I wouldn't tell anyone not to stay here but I wouldn't really recommend it either.

Room was perfect. However, there was an unpleasant smell at our floor. You can't smell it inside the room but once you are at the hallway, it will hit your nose.

Didn't really care for the location. Room was dusty with a torn place in the carpet. The motel had a humidifier running in the room (feel it should have been removed before our arrival).

The beds in our room were the best beds I’ve had in a hotel! We had a wonderful nights sleep! Everyone we encountered on staff was so friendly and helpful! We were only in town for 1 night but we will stay with you again when we return and recommend you to our friends!

A/C did not work properly...appeared to have been preset and we weren't able to keep the room cool. Nasty conditions around the hotel. ..very poorly maintained. Room was standard....nothing fabulous. Breakfast was cheap bagels muffins yogurt or instant oatmeal. Don't stay here. There are much better options in town.

The staff Shane was good & professional. The tv was antiquated & only had a few choices/channels for viewing. The tv was very small. Could not even put own tv choices on that old set

All was very nice, but the cooling of air in the room could have been better. The tub backed up with water when showering too. Still give it 8 out of 10.

Quiet area. Bed was comfortable and clean. Bathtub had some kind of cleaner in it that made it slick. Then it did not drain. It took a long time for the shower to warm but for 1 night it was ok. Breakfast was not worth it.

Worst stay ever. And our last at Bay Mountain. At checkin, I advised the lady I had already paid for the stay during booking and expected a hold for incidentals only. She said that hold would be $1. Surprised, but ok. Then she said I had not paid and she would be charging me. I said no, that wasn’t right. She claimed to have figured it out. Well, she didn’t. She charged me. When I went back, she got upset and told me I was wrong - even with me trying to show her my credit card statement online. Friday afternoon - beginning of long weekend - she says the computer did it and it would fall off at midnight. I told her that’s not how it works. Monday morning at checkout, I explained to the gentleman and he claimed the same thing. I told him I had heard that song and dance Friday and 3 midnights had come and gone and it was still there. 3rd lady called on my way home - same thing. Stupid because the charge is still there. Finally Tuesday morning AFTER vacation they released my money. Vacation money held hostage for the duration of the vacation. 😢 Location is great which is why we have stayed there for years. NO MORE! This time there was an odd smell in the building and the internet quality was terrible. Kicked me off often and made me log back in. The men who manage the place hang out in the lobby and parking lot. Kinda gave me the creeps this time. The beds are comfortable, but the laundry detergent they use caused a rash this time. Just bad all around.

Check in was slow. Only 1 person at the small Check in desk. Nothing about breakfast was mentioned. The disposable coffee filter in room looks like it was just rinsed and put back to reuse. Check out was also slow because only 1 person at the desk. Wasn’t able to get a receipt because I booked through Expedia. Only 2 handicap parking spots and both were always filled.

There was a 110 charge to my card the day before arrival. I figured I would just have to pay the balance when I arrived so I didn’t think anything of it. This is not the case, it is a 110 hold charge and you still have to pay the full balance when you arrive. The hold charge was to be refunded 3 business days later. Nothing in the booking said this was their policy. So you have to pay the full booking charge for your stay and a hold charge of 110. Wow. But the gentleman at the desk was nice and addressed issues we had in the room promptly. Yep

We needed one night after seeing "Unto These Hills" (HIGHLY recommended) and this hotel was perfect. All the staff were friendly and professional - excellent check-in and check-out. Free breakfast - self-serve hot waffles - but nutritious/healthy options were lacking. All-in-all, this was exactly what we needed and we would return.

The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly. The only thing I would wish better was the breakfast. Only waffles and various other carbs like muffins, etc. Wished there had been some protein, even if a boiled egg.

Breakfast was too limited and too late in the morning. Breakfast should be open from 6 to 9.

Stay was good. However breakfast on second day lacked yogurt and fruit bars offered on the first day. In fairness, I didn’t ask them to see if there were more. Breakfast was pretty basic (no protein) but did have waffle machine.

Everything was great except for the breakfast it's more of a continental breakfast instead of a hot breakfast because the only hot item was a waffle

My stay here was ok. Breakfast was a joke. And i went out at 750 and again at 810. Nothing. Finally about 920 i went out to coffee,wheat toast, yogurt, juice and waffle. So i was disappointed.

Overpaid by booking through Expedia. Property in light industrial area but clean inside. No coffee or breakfast available until 8:00 a.m. Front desk clerk very polite and efficient.

If you looking for an inexpensive place to stay while visiting Cherokee, NC, this is not a bad option. The hotel and rooms are dated, but so are most hotels in this area. But it was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the shower worked nice. No cooked food for breakfast, but there’s coffee, cereal, a waffle maker, yogurt and fruit. And it’s only a 5 minute drive to Harrah’s casino and 3 minutes drive to shopping and tourist attractions.

The front desk clerk Kay was great. Very helpful and personable. Room was clean. Hotel was very quiet. Great value for the money. My only negative was they did not have cold cereal at breakfast, they did have plenty of good breakfast alternatives though. I would recommend this hotel.
