The management and staff were professional, friendly, and responsive to my needs. The hotel did have a washer and dryer for the customers but they required $2.00 in quarters for washing and $2.00 in quarters for drying. The front desk does not maintain any cash. Since the hotel staff isn't allowed to maintain coins on hand. I recommend replacing those appliances with ones that accept credit and bank cards.

Too close to the highway and the noise was awful. Bed was uncomfortable. The front desk staff was great and the only thing keeping me from giving this a worse rating. No breakfast- the Starbucks in the lobby was even more expensive than usual.

The elevator was filthy. Our room had food on the floor (popcorn and chicken nugget, perhaps?) when we moved the ottoman. Bathroom fixtures were in need pf replacement. Hinges rusty, no full length mirror . . . You get the picture

Elevator smelled like mold, the “courtyard “ was a table with an umbrella surrounded by barrels of transmission fluid. There seemed to be a great deal of water damage on the outside walls which they appeared to be repairing. The fitness center had 1 towel, no cleaning wipes and no cups for the water. It was not cheap to stay here and you had to PAY for coffee and breakfast. Instead of water and pretzels, how about free coffee like every other similar place. Will NEVER return here

Property needs to be better maintained. The air conditioning in the common areas and gym was not working during our two day stay. Uncomfortable. Thankfully the a/c was working in our guest room. little things add up to an impression that there's not a lot of concern about maintaining the property. Two examples, there was black mold along the entire bottom of the glass shower enclosure in our room. in the gym, there were several ceiling panels that were badly water stained and had not been replaced. Appeared to have been in that condition for some time.

My family stayed here for 4 July weekend the carpets need to be shampooed or updated. You can smell the odor like mildew from the carpet being old and nasty. The bathrooms are outdated and need to be updated. The sinks in the bathroom is broken the pillows the bedding needs to be replaced. The pillows had an odor to. . The pillows had an odor to them. We went out and brought new pillows.

The staff never cleaned our room, we hand some dirty towels with hair on them and they were supposed to be clean. We had to ask for more towels. They left food in the refrigerator from the people before us the carpet wasn’t clean. The good thing the beds were clean. Thank you.

This hotel is badly in need of repairs and updating. Carpet stained, dirty and musty. Floors un even and in need of repair. Walls stained and peeling bathroom floors in need of repair. We moved rooms because shower would not drain and back washed a bunch of black moldy gunk up into shower floor. We were in town for an event so luckily did not spend much time in room but it was fairly quiet except for highway noise which was expected being so close to the road. Hallway are dim lit and ice machine pretty suspect. Rampant odor of smoke and marijuana around and in public areas of property though that could just have been while we were there. Will not be staying here again.

Everything seemed to be acceptable but not of the quality I’ve had in other hotels. The beds weren’t made well, the bathroom was clean but lacking some towels, and the air unit worked haphazardly. I’ve been in cheaper hotels that offered free continental breakfast. This hotel had a “bistro” but I never saw anyone there. Fortunately I brought my own coffee so I had that. The beds were comfortable and I slept well enough.

Was traveling in business and personal. The internet didn’t work so I wasn’t able to work remotely, the phone in the room didn’t work either. Unfortunately due to the internet issues the TV also kept buffering which didn’t allow me to watch it. I’ve stayed here before and this place seems to have gone down.

The room was clean but the noise from the interstate was overwhelming. If your room is on the side of the hotel that faces the interstate then beware. Our window seals were bad because in the morning the windows had condensate on both sides. You could not see out at all and I believe that also contributed to the noise of the interstate. The interstate has a on-ramp right behind the hotel so acceleration of the traffic enhanced the noise level. Truely, we didn’t get a good night rest. It was if there was window sized hole in the wall. It was very late when we arrived or we would have asked for another room.

Upon entering the lobby, we were not greeted by the 3 staff members at the front desk who continued their conversation and made us wait to be served. They were not friendly when we were attended to, and the clerk was particularly negative about our booking through a third party. She said I wouldn't get a receipt, she couldn't give me hotel points, nor could she help with a question I had because I had not booked through Marriott. I had to put a $20.00 "deposit" on my credit card for incidentals (like what?? no food or drink in the fridge, no way to make a LD phone call!!) that I have not received a credit back for. Breakfast (which I paid for) was higher than the posted fees on the menu, menu selections had substitutions we did not want nor could eat, and again the staff person was slow and obviously not happy to be working! Bland food and not worth the money or the wait!! Debacle. After this unpleasant experience, my husband and I will probably stick with IHG hotels, and the third party booking issue is concerning, since we travel a great deal for business and pleasure, and use online booking.

We like the location of the property and the surrounding business. The hotel staff was horrible. They did not greet. We asked for fresh towels and sheets after two nights. The towels were delivered but not fresh sheets. We again asked the front desk for fresh sheets. The receptionist took our room number and we later returned to no fresh sheets. We eventually got fresh sheets from the front desk and made our own bed. This staffs customer service is really lacking.

I am a property manager, so I look at hospitality and property maintenance with a different eye. I just can not say enough about the amazing staff at The Courtyard by Marriott Monroe. The front desk staff, maintenance and housekeeping provided top notch hospitality from picking me up at the airport to allowing me to check in to my room several hours early. Providing transport to an event, and late check out to work around my flight schedule. The hotel was clean, grounds were well maintained, all staff were very attentive. I’m not sure that I’ll have a need to be back in Monroe, LA, but I certainly know where I’ll stay if I do find myself back in the area. Highly recommend.

The hotel is right next to the interstate and it sounds like you’re trying to sleep in the middle of the road. If you happen to stay here make sure you request a room the furthest away from the highway as possible and take your ear plugs. I can’t review the food because it is closed on Sundays, can’t review the bar because it’s also closed on Sundays. I stay at Courtyard by Marriott “a lot” but I would have to give this one a 3 star. It’s clean but has a slight musty smell in the room.

Safe and excellent location for families and business. Large lobby with Starbucks coffee eatery - there is an Applebees, Olive Garden and other nearby (walkable) restaurants and a Mall across the walkable parking lot (safe for kids to walk). Sundays is the only slow day without all hotel services. Rooms are large and roomy with plenty of storage. Separate vanity outside the restroom. Fitness center has several treadmills for workouts. (6) Tesla charging stations. The Marriott next door are newer with kitchen suites.

Check in was satisfactory. Several tiles in the elevator were cracked. Threshold carpet was coming apart inside the room. There was a small refrigerator in the room but no microwave. Breakfast was a big disappointment. We paid an extra $10 for breakfast when we made our reservation but when we went down for breakfast we were restricted on our menu options. I showed them my breakfast coupon but was charged $39.76. I did asked about that on our second day and was given credit after I inquired about the charge. The breakfast staff seemed uninterested and confused. We ordered the breakfast tots with scrambled eggs but the order was served without the eggs. We asked about the eggs and they said they forgot to include them but did bring some later. The location was convenient for shopping and dining but very close to I 20 and traffic noise. We will look for a different place to stay next time
