The business center that is advertised has a printer that according to staff hasn't had ink for several months. Had sensitive documents that needed printed and was late at night. Staff refused to call neighboring hotels to see if they would allow me to use their business center. Ended up driving to multiple hotels until found one that would let me use there's. Not happy with the level of service from the staff. Also the pool was not operational, so my kid wasn't able to use that.

Toilet seat ready to fall off, Tv had a black line thru the center of it, carpet was dirty, elevator not working, pool not ready , shower drain not working properly( you have to manually hold the lever down to work) bathroom door didn’t shut, and you have to ask for room service or you wont get it

The phone didn't work in our room, so front desk couldn't be contacted. Internet wasn't working for the first day of the stay, and several USB ports and outlets were dead. Again, couldn't contact front desk due to no phone. There was rarely someone at the front desk to ask for anything. A few towels were taken by the housekeeping staff first day but none were replaced. On the last full day, I had to ask for clean towels. They were delivered later, tossed on our food counter in a trash bag instead of being put away in the bathroom. Breakfast was OK, but the choices were very slim (mostly because they were out and hadn't made more). The pool was closed for maintenance, but by the looks of the green water, the pool has been closed for some time. Nobody bothered to notify us before checking in. This is the first time we've ever had issues with a Comfort Inn & Suites, and will not be returning to or recommending this location.

The star of this hotel is the staff. Everyone was extra friendly and eager to help. The hotel is in desperate need of a makeover. The elevator is broken , the pool is closed, the carpet has stains and the hotel has a moldy smell… but I absolutely adored the staff (Janice , Jatina and the ladies at the front desk were heaven sent ).

Elevator was broken, pool was not working, workout area smelled unbearable. Staff was friendly though and the room was okay but old. None of the outlets would hold a normal plug, they were all very worn. The waffle batter tasted like sourdough waffles. And the breakfast area was very small. Not staying again.

There was no ice machine on first or second floor! The carpet in our room on 1st floor had very noticible spots! Breakfast was fine! Would not stay at that particular Comfort Inn again! It needs a remodel and overhaul!

If I had not been exhausted from driving many miles on a cross country trip, and reserved a prepaid room on Expedia, I would have left after waiting almost 20 minutes for someone to appear at the front desk to even check me in. Even worse, once we got to our room, my husband opens the room door and immediately sees and crushes a cockroach scurrying across the entry. Hairs in the shower, dirty corners of the floors, hard lumpy beds. Our stay was horrible from the moment we got there, and needless to say we will never stay there again!

I enjoyed checking in with the friendly person at the front desk. We loved our first walk through in the room. We were only in town for one night, so we didn't stay in the room that long before leaving. After returning to the room after midnight there were clipped toenails at the foot of our bed and on the floor as well. It was too late to get any assistance and the morning associate was on a call and we were in a hurry to get back on the highway.

The hotel is very outdated and dirty. I walked around our room barefoot and the bottom of my feet were black. Our TV didn't work and no one knew how to fix it. There were cut wires laying on the floor under the a/c unit. when we went to check out, no one was out the front desk because she was standing out front with some of the maids smoking right in front of the entrance, so you had to walk through it to leave.

This will be our last time ever staying at a Comfort Suites. We had a bad experience in Gulf Shores, but decided to give Monroe a try. Big mistake. While the room wasn't horrible, the desk had something smeared all over it that my husband had to clean off. Even worse, the comforter on the king bed had multiple blood stains. We only noticed them the next morning AFTER we woke up and the cover on the comforter had moved. They clearly do NOT wash the comforters in between guests or swap them out with clean ones. I find this unacceptable since people do lots of things on beds that warrant ALL COVERINGS be changed after each guest. I took pictures of the stains...they definitely are blood, which is a biohazard. We will never stay at this hotel or any Comfort Suites again.

Pros: Great Staff, Quiet, Clean rooms, sausage and bacon were good. Cons: Room had no towels, when I asked for towels, one that I received blood and poop stains on it. Eggs were dehydrated/powdered eggs. A/C could not get the room below 74° even after the AC was set at 61° for over 18 hours! Lobby was very humid. Breakfast chairs were ripped to shreds.

There were bugs in my room and I have extreme anxiety and could not sleep. I saw a bug in my bed the first night but I ignored it and just brished it off. All week I was itching on and off but don't see anything. The last night we saw some sort of bug infestation on the headboard and it creeped me out so bad. They moved my room but I could not sleep because my anxiety was on 10. I really think we should be reimbursed because I am afraid I have brought bed bugs back to my home and I may end up having to destroy my personal property which is Brahmin and other named brand items. Someone should contact me asap to resolve this!

Couldn’t get tv to work - switched rooms that didn’t work. Staff needs more instructions on how to set up tv. You need original tv remote to connect to source. Carpet dirty needs replacing. The only thing I enjoyed was the breakfast. The lady working the area did well and kept it clean. Sorry, not staying at this named home again.

The people were really nice and very helpful. The room was an entirely different story. It was way smaller than I thought it would be considering it was suppose to be a suite. The smoke detector was going off but there was nothing that the employees could do to help. The room was clean but it still needed a lot of updating, and the shampoo dispenser keep detaching from the wall. I could have given a lower review but the people were just that nice

Television was crap. Couldn’t get any volume and we were told to control on the tv not remote. There was no volume control on the TV. He lobby needs some attention like front doors were dirty and tidy up your landscaping! I can say bed was very comfortable!

Terrible. Staff was rude and unhelpful. GM was not much better. We encountered bugs in room, no breakfast food, dirty room, broken items in room and no shower curtain. Front desk clerk obviously didn’t want to help and we weren’t moved from room, couldn’t leave hotel, no where else to go for the night in town. Breakfast attendant told us not to ask if more food would be added. Manager said she’d refund us for the stay and nothing has happened with that. Do NOT stay here.

Decided to give this place another try but it still has the same issue with terrible and rude staff. This is especially with checking into the room that evening it seems as though he doesn’t really care about his job? The issue was his attitude once we got there and he did the same thing to another guest! He would not give us clean sheets for the pullout couch, we did ask if they were clean? His response was I don’t know. We also asked for extra towels and he would not give us the extra towels. We’ve stayed at other comfort suites and never had an issue like this hotel. So this is my experience at this hotel and I don’t think I’ll bother with this place again.

The power was out and had been out for hours when we arrived. We were told they didn't know when power would be restored. We requested a cancellation due to our son having medical needs that require we have power. The lady at the front desk became very rude and yelled at me when I told her that the conditions made the hotel unsafe for us and we could not stay there with no lights, air conditioning or power source for our son's medical needs. She refused to help us cancel our room and continued to yell at me in front of other guests.

Made reservation and paid for the room 5 hours before arrival. Upon arrival I was told they didn’t have a room and made little to no effort to accommodate me. Another staff member arrived and found a room for me and was very nice about it.

Great overnight place. Easy on and off the freeway Room was clean, friendly staff, hot breakfast Will stay there again next time in Monroe And if you need a place to eat make sure and go to Kravins it’s about 1.3 miles from hotel. Food was amazing especially the chicken and waffles and their staff was outstanding

Breakfast ran out with no tempt to replace the hot items. My children were not able to eat anything except a yogurt because everything ran out including the waffle mix, milk, and coffee. There was a LOUD banging on our room wall in the middle of the night, with people, what sounded like 5-10 people, talking and laughing outside our room. I had to call downstairs. No one prompted the people to quiet down. After 30 more minutes, I had to go outside myself. This woke up our children after driving 8 hours.

The hotel was so so at best. Not worth the money and would not stay here again. Light bulbs were burnt out and the hotel was run down. The furniture in the breakfast was all torn and the restaurant area was filthy. In addition, the trash cans were overflowing so I left my plate and cup and trash on the table.

The free breakfast was a disaster. They were out of milk, eggs and bread. This was at 7:30 in the morning. The lady behind the bar busied herself reorganizing the cereal, even though there was no milk. She finally brought out some apples as we were leaving. Totally unsatisfactory.

Great place to stop over for the night on a road trip. Room was comfortables and clean, staff was polite and helpful. We were at the end of the hallway on the second floor and it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was good with a variety of choices. Sausage, cheese omelets, boiled eggs, yogurt, toast, oatmeal, waffles, biscuits, etc. Would definitely stay again.

The beds are very hard. The bedding was stained and old. The air conditioning didnt work very well. The free breakfast was a joke. Very short hours, compared to other hotels, only drink option was coffee. The attendant didnt even care to refill things. Very limited seating, about 7 tables. All the positive reviews, must be the workers. 😞
