This Westin was in the worst shape of any Westin I have stayed at. The room looked to be recently remodeled but the tub had rust and chips out of the surface. There was no couch or seating - just a giant space in the room. The amenity hours are ridiculously short. The hallway was a mess of partial construction. The pool had trash floating. Everything was overpriced. Our $26 in-room breakfast (according to menu prices) was charged $48 on our bill. Don’t fall for the $25 food & beverage credit. We ended up $23 out of pocket (after the credit) for a plate of fruit, 2 sausage links and an 8oz glass of orange juice. They shouldn’t be allowed to use the Westin name. On a positive note, Lake Las Vegas and surrounding area is beautiful… I would go back & stay at a different hotel.

I wanted to give 5stars but issues with housekeeping (room wasn't clean upon arrival) not coming regularly, bumped down to 4. All staff interaction was great. The hotel is going through a much-needed renovation. I plan to return.

The property was very mediocre at best. The pool area had several deferred maintenance issues and in general just looked dilapidated. Front desk staff was friendly. It was not an experience that I would return to and that is unfortunate as it’s a pretty location but not worth the drive.

Overall, I like the hotel. We go there a few times a year for staycations. They recently renovated the rooms, which look nicer but the bathroom fixtures were still the same and a bit clunky, especially the shower faucet. I think the bathroom fixtures could use an update. We went there to lounge by the pool and have cocktails, but due to the intermittent rain that day, the pool was closed. We called and asked if they knew whether or not the pool would re-open once the rain had stopped and they said they were going to leave it closed the rest of the day, just to be safe. I get it, they can't control the weather. It was a bit disappointing, but what can you do. Unfortunately, they said they would take off my resort fees to make up for the fact that we weren't able to use the resort facilities, but they didn't do it and I still got charged. Will still probably go back. The room is nice and the view of the lake was really nice.
