This place is amazing and steeped in history and at a very reasonable price however it is the staff which makes this place phenomenal, they cannot do enough for you to make this feel like a £400 a night experience.. stayed there for 8 weeks on buisness and loved it

An absolute gem This hotel was excellent - the rooms are all in keeping with the history of the building. The staff were amazing- many thanks to the maintenance man who told us so much of the house history. The food was excellent and we had some great wine. Loved every minute x

Our room was amazing, full of character. Bed was super comfy slept very well. The rooms on the first floor for guests were wonderful our favourite being the library. All the staff were lovely. We ate in every night and the food was delicious very good portions. Would highly recommend a stay.

Not for me, very small old tired room, many items not available on the menu and a service charge applied on bill, in a hotel restaurant really!! Hoped for a better experience but don’t be surprised if your vision from the website doesn’t match!!
