The Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte North is a tired hotel. The lobby is nice, but that's about it. The corridors and room smelled musty. The elevators are slow. The bathroom had no hand soap, the light bulb was burned out, and the sink was very slow to drain. There were hardly any tissues or toilet paper. The curtains were ripped. The carpet was dirty. I'm shocked that Hilton allows their name to go on this hotel, time for renovation.

Checked into hotel online but when I arrived my room was not ready despite arriving after the 3pm check-in time. Check in took longer than usual. The representative apologized and said he was waiting on confirmation of when a room would be ready. I was in a hurry so I asked if I could just get a different size room. The representative located a different room and gave me a breakfast voucher for the inconvenience which was greatly appreciated. The room was ok..a bit dated, weird TV controls, and I had issues with the internet when I was trying to work. Internet issues were addressed once I spoke to the IT team. Slow elevator. Good breakfast and location but I don’t think I will stay here again.

Just needed a quick stay for the evening. Didn’t like that they wanted us to pay an extra $13 a person for breakfast the next morning. So we just left without breakfast. Pool was down for maintenance as well.

To start, there is/was a used water bottle in the fridge. Gummy bears on the floor of our room upon check in. These two things did not see the tone of the weekend. We had a fire alarm at 3:00am that lasted almost 30 minutes. We were required to stand outside in the cold or sit in our car if you were lucky enough to have your car key. They say they offered free breakfast to everyone affected by the fire alarm but we never received the memo plus another couple affected by the fire alarm was charged for her breakfast that morning. Location was convenient for everywhere we traveled. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

I normally stay at Hilton Garden Inns but this one is a little old so I wasn't as impressed by this one. You can just tell it's old. The carpet in my room had soil stains, the caulking around the sink had big gaps in it, the tub spout nozzle was pulled away from the wall so there was a big gap in between the wall and water spout. I bring my own wash cloths but use theirs to dry my hands and there was one that was so worn and dingy looking that I will always bring my wash cloths forever. The door look was wiggly so I had to rig my door to be comfortable to sleep since we were at the end room by the exit stairs. The staff was friendly but I didn’t feel comfortable at all when I was checking in because the clerk took my credit card and went in a room to check me in so my card nor he was in sight. I didn’t like that at all. He was nice enough but I don't think you should walk off with a customers card. Overall the price was good and the hotel is not all bad just not the best Hilton Garden Inn.

The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and kind. Our bathroom was not clean, the rest of the room was ok. In my opinion the hotel was very overpriced for the condition and the area. There were notes about a dispute between the hotel and the cable provider taped everywhere. (very unprofessional) Due to this, most of the channels were not working. This area is very rundown. There are no good restaurants and the ones that were there had ratings of 1 and 2 stars .

The hotel was really not that bad the two biggest things there that was lacking a little is the bed was uncomfortable and lacked decent pillows also the people partying outside are room past 11 PM at night makes it hard to sleep with the above things i mentioned other than that it was managable !!

Expected so much more from Hilton. No breakfast unless you pay $13 for the same breakfast every other hotel gives you for free. No laundry bag in the room. Mildew in the shower tile is as old as the hotel. No WiFi. I get more basics from a motel 6 at 1/3 the price.

The lobby looks to be nicely updated, but the second you open the door to the room it’s a Time Machine back to 2005. No streaming, only 1 bedside table, lights in the corner of the room that you have to stretch to turn off/on, horrible uncomfortable pillows. We went to the breakfast buffet to find out it’s $12.99 a person for a very basic continental breakfast. The rate was cheap and we were only in town for a tournament, so it got the job done… but don’t expect much more than that.

My next door guests smoked weed and I felt sick. The walls were also really thin and I could hear the next door guests being "loud". When I complained about it, the staff changed the room right away. However, the new room had a noisy air-condition and the coffee machine was not working. I appreciate the effort of the staff, but the quality of the guests was disappointing.

The TV was not working. Had to ask for batteries for the remote as it didn’t have any. Still the TV was not functioning. They have satellite and when it rains or the wind is too munch it doesn’t work.

I stayed at this Hilton Garden Inn for my visit to Charlotte for the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow. I got my digital key before arriving, so checkin was easy. My room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice and welcoming. I had dinner there a couple times and had some nice conversations with some of the staff. I had a classic fish sandwich for dinner both nights. It was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

I literally booked a room at 3:45am drove to the hotel and was checking in and settled by 4:30am. Slept like a baby and got to check out at noon (I was exhausted) so that extra time was so needed. Thank you to the older gentleman that checked me in and got me a quiet room.

When checking in the building smelled of weed. The front desk was not helpful. The fire alarm went off at 345am. And once that was over we walked in and the front desk lady got an attitude when we said we are checking out.

Even though it’s an older hotel, it was very clean, wry quiet and the staff was great. So many places to dine and you do t have to drive. Shopping is local and entertainment was all in the same area.

Quick, Nice overnight. Comfy bed. Other reviews complained about breakfast but we thought it was good. Biscuits, potatoes, bacon and juice were best of what we tried. Desk staff was courteous and efficient.

Did not like the fact that breakfast cost $13/person but we not informed of this before we had already filled our plates and ere eating. A sign stating this policy was not prominently displayed . Meal cost $28, more than we had planned on.
