This hotel should only be used out of necessity. Loud due to planes. Outdoor pool is seasonal (make sure to check). Front desk staff was unhelpful. No one explained that I needed to pay for parking resulting in a ticket and additional fee. Asked to have my two rooms close together because I had small children and even waited to make sure that would happen. I was then given a room that was on the other side of floor and not where I was promised. Personalities are impersonal and cold in general. Bartender at night and event staff were very friendly and made up for some of the failures of the front desk.

The restaurant and bar are pretty good. Front desk staff is not quickly attentive or acknowledging. Airport shuttle is busy - we waited an hour at the airport for pick up. The hotel needs some updating. Paying for parking is annoying when checked in as a guest. I have stayed here three times and I doubt I would stay again. There are plenty of other choices for the money.

We stayed there overnight to catch our flight the next morning. We were able to leave our car there in their parking lot, which was wonderful. They drove us over to the airport when we arrived home we called them and they came and promptly picked us up and our driver was so so nice.

We booked this hotel for the convenience of having an airport shuttle. Upon arrival at Charlotte Douglas Airport, we had ti call 6 times before we could get ahold of someone to send the shuttle to pick us up. Then, upon check in the front desk said the shuttle for tomorrow morning is “sold out” and “full” and that we would need to find our own transportation to the airport. Very disappointing! If this is your “busy season” as the desk clerk’s reasoning was, then you should hire another shuttle. Not happy at all with this hotel and will not be staying here again. So many other options for hotels within airport proximity that actually honor their promise of complimentary airport transfers.

One of the cleanest airport hotels we’ve stayed at! Only issue was the shuttle. Shuttle service is not guaranteed. We arrived late in the day due to the timing of our flight. We received shuttle service from the airport to the hotel, but when we went to schedule our pick-up we were told there was only a 4am shuttle or a 7am shuttle (our flight left at 7am) because all other time slots were booked. We ended up requesting a Lyft and ended up with an amazing driver. Just be aware of this when booking.

check in was terrible. waited approx 30 mins to check in, lobby was full of people, it was dirty and in need of repair. restaurant was closed, pool was out of service, just an overall unsatisfactory experience.

June 15 2025 - walked into room 230 and ‘bed bugs’ covering one of the two queen beds. Showed the video to the front desk staff on call that night. We Left and went to another hotel and now working at getting refund/credit from hotels.com. All three of us that checked in have video of the critters.

For this to be very close to the airport. It's very disappointing to see the condition of my room. The bathroom was not clean, my coffee machine wasn't working. I was shock that i had to pay to park my car. Also had to pay to eat my breakfast. I will never stay at this hotel again. The only thing i was please with was the front desk staff. Other than that, this stay was very disappointing.

The room was absolutely disgusting. Sticky residue from what appeared to be a lollipop, scalp oil stained pillow cases, and furniture filled with stains that I don’t care to know what caused them.

It was very convenient to the airport, shuttle was convenient and drivers very friendly and helpful. The dinner and service in the restaurant was good. The room was basically clean, but with electrical tubing running around the inside of the room, an outlet that looked as if smoke had come out at some point, and the peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, it just felt tired. The aircraft taking off overhead was louder than any airport hotel I think I have stayed at, and the air conditioning was also very loud.

this is quite a nice hotel near the CLT airport and with free onsite parking. We find staff to be helpful...and willing to help. Our issue was that we had a couple of important Zoom calls scheduled while we were staying at the hotel. But our room (435) was a kind of black hole for Wi-Fi. Eventually, we were able to work around this issue with a hotspot, but the Wi-Fi issue is definitely going to impact our hotel decision making process for future travel through CLT (which is rather frequent). I have no issues with the staff, it was just more of a hardware issue. And the room was very comfortable and spacious.

Very short business stay, I only had 8 hr before my flight out of Charlotte Airport. I checked into my room, got unpacked and settled into bed and could smell urine very strongly, even though the sheets were clean, the mattress was obviously soaked with urine from a recent guest. So with no time to change rooms I had to sleep on top of the covers on the other side of the bed...it was terrible night with not much sleep.

Arrived at 3 to check in with a line of 15 people in the lobby waiting to check in only 1 staff member working front desk.Once checked in they charge a fee to park. The next morning at 830 housekeeping knocking on door and then proceeded to open our room door. Also was told breakfast bar would be free only to find out they charge. Very misleading and overall I give a 2 star rating.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I was really disappointed by my recent experience at this hotel. The facilities were fine, but the service at the bar was incredibly off-putting. The bartender was shockingly rude—dismissive, short, and seemed irritated by even basic requests. It left a really bad impression and made it hard to enjoy what should’ve been a relaxing evening. For a hotel in this price range, I expected a much more welcoming and professional level of service.

I did not appreciate an employee using their master key to enter our room when we were told to tell staff 24 hours in advance when we needed house keeping, we did NOT request house keeping at all our entire stay. When the employee was asked by us why they were in our room they stated “to confirm we were staying another night”. The employee walked in the room while we were sleeping, the only thing that stopped them from completely walking into the room was the door stopper. The front desk did not care nor did a follow up with us. My phone number was on file, I did not receive a phone call. The room phone was not called. How many days we paid for was also on file. The employees had no respect.

Call to get a shuttle for the hotel, and they told me it would take about 15 minutes. 35 minutes later a shuttle bus came. The shuttle came and in seconds it was full. The driver said she would be back in five minutes. 20 minutes later she showed up and drove us to the hotel. When I got there, there was a long line for Check In and had to wait another 30 minutes to get checked in. So as you can see, it took an hour and 25 minutes from my phone call at the airport about 9:30 PM till I got to my room. Very disappointing after a long trip.

The rooms were great. The airport shuttle service was timely and super helpful. Unfortunately, I believe the woman who checked us in was having a bad day. We were exhausted and had just traveled a great distant and a simple smile and a friendly "hello" could have went a long way. ... While we checked in late, it seemed the property had lots of amenities. The room was large and clean. The hotel is definitely worth considering when traveling through the area.

Everything about the property was nice. Check-in was very easy there were two young ladies at the reception desk that were very professional. I recommend that management keep them around. I was surprised when they both said they were there less than 2 weeks because their customer service was on par with an employee that would have been there for years.

There needs to be more overnight staff. Due to the unfortunate reputation CLT has for cancelling flights, a line of 20 people trying to get a room at midnight is too much for one worker to handle. That employee did FANTASTIC. But the hotel itself needs to staff more folks at night.

10/10 stay! Very clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable. The staff was the best I have ever had and I travel A LOT. I needed a pack n play for my baby and they texted me the morning of my stay to ask me if I needed anything. They let me pick my floor for my room and had the pack n play already in the room when I arrived. The convenience was amazing and I was beyond appreciative considering I was finishing up a 16 hour travel day with 2 babies. They had a restaurant - gave me a coupon for it and had pizza ready for us in 15 min that was great just before we were ready to go to sleep. We were starving, exhausted travelers, and they made our stay a breeze —highly recommend thishotel to absolutely anyone!!

We arrived late and hungry, the restaurant/bar was still open and we were able to get good appetizers. Even though this airport is very close to the airport, we slept soundly and comfortable in our 1st floor room. We did not hear any planes.

We ate in the restaurant for dinner. The waiter was horrible. Seemed put out when we asked for a different table not near the door or kitchen even though there were only 2 other tables being occupied. Food was good and presentation was good but a little over salted. We both had the salmon. The waiter after delivering our food never once came back to check on us and our drinks were empty. After waiting 15 minutes with plates pushed to the side we finally had to ask the bartender to get our bill for us,

The Holiday Inn is convenient for the airport with a shuttle service provided. The staff were helpful and the place was clean. BUT, we arrived needing dinner and the bar/ restaurant area is abysmal. The staff were not welcoming and the choices were awful. The bar is stocked with low quality bar and wine and unhelpful staff. We ended up taking an Uber into Charlotte and having a first class evening.
