Microtel Inn by Wyndham Charlotte Airport

The room wasnice and perfect for the night except the AC/Heat Unit was not working in my room. I would have given more of a higher rating otherwise Also, the ice machine on the 1st floor was not working. The front desk staff told me to try the 3rd floor and that one wasnt working either. The area around the hotel was not the best in my opinion. I did feel safe in the hotel and in my room.

$40 for a 3 hour check-in seems a little steep but... Place can get noisy during the day and at night, but overall not a bad place for a quick overnight stay near the airport. Free shuttle was great, free breakfast not so much so. Will use again when in CLT.

Fine place for a 'park and fly' if you just need a room with no frills. That said, front desk attendant said to get to lobby 15 minutes prior to shuttle pick up (at the top of every hour). Shuttle was late, then showed up in a mini-van to take 10 persons (plus luggage) to the airport which was VERY dangerous. Beware.

Did not have time to rest, the last shuttle was just before midnight and my flight was scheduled to leave Charlotte about 5 am. I had no choice but go to the airport at midnight, or I would miss my next flight.

Loud all night. Elevator not working

The good: Room was clean, AC worked well enough, TV had basic stations and with clear signal, bathroom/shower was clean and worked fine. The bad: I was invited to check in the day before to make my check in experience faster. I did so, which required me to send a photo of my driver's license and my credit card number. Upon arrival, I had to wait almost half an hour to check in because the front staff apparently couldn't figure out how to check someone out(?). Despite having done the pre-check in, I had to provide my driver's license to be scanned and a credit card. Not obvious that they knew I had done their remote early check in that they invited me to do. I was there for a Metallica concert, and commuting back was a nuisance. I then went out for a late dinner, and came back to park around 1 or 2am. There was not one single free parking spot in the lot, with 5 or 6 vehicles parked along curbs which limited traffic flow. I was ultimately directed to double-park behind a series of cars which the attendant indicated were expected to remain at the property for several days. I pulled up as far as I could towards the curb, trying to avoid blocking anyone in more than was necessary. The following morning, the car I was partially blocking in was gone -- thankfully the driver of that car was excellent at maneuvering his vehicle and was able to squeeze out without hitting me. Would not stay here again.

My room adequate but the shuttle service is awful. I'm out almost $30 because I had to take an Uber to and from the hote lfrom the airport.

Got to the hotel @3am coming from out of town and i had to bang on the door for 5 minutes before someone finally came. Mind you i could see her the whole time. I had reservations and she act as if she didnt wanna check me in. No gym here iif you need one. Breakfast wasnt much at all. Rooms were alright as far as cleaniness but. There are spots on the walls and ceiling.

You should consider obtaining a parking agreement with neighboring hotels since you don’t have enough parking onsite for the number of rooms you have.

Property cleanliness was decent. I wasn’t crawling out of my skin but stains on one of my pillows and walls were icky. Shuttle service to airport starts at 5am which was not listed when I booked and disappointing that I had to pay extra for a taxi when I thought this service would be included. Seemed like they grouped all guests in the small hallway and I was lucky enough to have very loud neighbors all night. Positive was Waffle House and Ishiban restaurants and gas station with convenience stores within walking distance. Overall I wish I had booked at a slightly more expensive hotel that included shuttle for early morning flights.

Checked in when we got to our room there was blood stains on sheets. Requested new sheets, they were brought up wet. Lady at front desk was rude. Ask for refund she stated couldnt get it, leaving would be considered a cancelation. Asked for management number, she said she couldnt give it out. Horrible service.

We thought it looked clean, we checked for any signs of bugs. Everything seemed ok, but I woke up to a few suspicious bumps. I looked in my bed and was horrified that I found a bug. As the day progressed, more bumps appeared. The next day my daughter counted 105 bites. I had to get a prescription steroid cream cuz it was unbearable. We told the lady at service desk when we left that we found bugs and had bites, to please not assign anyone to the room we had. I called multiple times over the weekend asking to speak with a manager, why I was calling, and left my number. It is now Tuesday morning and no manager has called me. I want to know they are doing something to remedy the situation. I will call the health department today and report. My sister thankfully only had 5 bites. Edit- we stopped by Tuesday morning and spoke to front desk…still no manager, but woman working was very helpful. She said she was wondering why our room had been blocked out all weekend..so thank goodness they didn’t let anyone stay in the room we were in. She called the manager and told her of our situation. The manager then talked to me on the hotel phone, apologized and said pest control was being called and that she was going to give refund. So I feel like they did their due diligence to handle the unfortunate situation. On a positive note the beds and pillows were comfortable. The room looked clean when we arrived…no complaints there. It was just unfortunate that there were bugs.

I had two roaches in my room. Manager did nothing and hadn’t responded to my email.

Even though was prety busy because of many flights canceled, we were able to book a room. The room was clean with nice clean bed.

BED BUGS!!!! ACTIVE BED BUGS JULY 27th 2025. Do not stay here!! We left early bc I woke up with a line of 6 bites on my a**. When we told the front desk about the bed bugs, they didn’t apologize AT ALL or act surprised in the slightest. Definitely a regular problem. Ruuuude counter staff too, total attitudes. We had to find another hotel and spend the whole day cooking all our clothes in black bags in our car trunk & laundromat, and spraying everything with alcohol. Bad hotel altogether - no conditioner, and the shampoo is practically mouth wash. Floors and walls are paper thin just like their toilet paper and water pressure. Breakfast is a joke. DO NOT STAY HERE! Do not be swayed by the price like I was, TRUST ME, pay a little more and go to a Marriott. This place SUCKKKKKKKKSSSSSSSS. If you want to experience a taste of hell, by all means stay here. Otherwise STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN. Their 96.5 cleanliness rating is a scam!

The toilet seat was up, and there was hair in the shower, toilet, and sink. I guess they just forgot to finish cleaning the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable.

Hotel was dirty, walls dirty, elevator dirty, carpet dirty, bathroom walls dirty, room walls dirty, washer and dryer drop never got my refund clothes were wet

The people in the next room never slept! I heard them talking and playing music, with the TV very loud as well! Management came at one point banging on their door to get them to keep it quiet. Nothing changed until 4am. I had an early flight with a shittle to catch so I got up to shower, and wouldnt you know it - not a sound from the next room! Paper thin walls!

The free airport shuttle service is good, the hotel is small but okay for a short stay, the only issue is there is no sound isolation between the rooms so you can hear everyone around you and it becomes noisy.

Stayed before an early flight the next morning. Staff was friendly, but impossible to sleep with the AC turning on, could hear every footstep from the room above us, and every door around our room open and close. With it being near the airport people come and go at all hours of the night and you can hear them. Barely slept 15 minutes. The bathroom floor appeared dirty, but the bedroom seemed thoroughly cleaned.

The hotel inside the rooms is nice. Some upgrades can be had on the outside or in the hotel. But, the rooms are kinda small but have a lot in them. Fridge, microwave, nice sized shower and bed etc.

The beds were comfortable, the room was nice for the price. Only complaint I have is the thin walls. It’s felt like we were sharing rooms with our neighbors

Clean rooms, small but had everything I needed. Shower stall, no tub but spacious. Noisy, unfortunately. Can hear others through the walls. Smell of marijuana in halls. Shuttle driver not very personable; could have been the early hour though.

Properly is obviously older and needs to be refreshed. It’s not dirty, but it definitely needs to be updated. The room I was given has a smell of long ago smoking. It smells like the carpets or the drapes need to be replaced. The hotel’s neighborhood has seen better days. A hotel shuttle driver warned me against walking to a nearby restaurant, telling me that there is often a police presence in the area addressing ladies of the evening plying their wares, and that some female guests had been robbed on the street recently. I didn’t feel like I was ever in danger, but I’m a single guy who stands 6’3” and kind of oblivious. The front desk was super friendly and helpful.

One night stay, rooms are small and noisy neighbors

The room, although small was clean and neat, especially the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, not brick hard like many motel beds. Price was reasonable and a good value.

The staff was not friendly at all. They answered my questions and concerns as if I was bothering them. I couldn’t sleep properly because it was very noisy, and I could hear all the neighbors. Also, the transfer was not on time. I would not recommend this place.

We arrived at about 12:00 midnight, thinking I'd drop off luggage in the room quickly, then return our rental car to the airport. Instead, there was a line of about 10 people at the check in counter, due to a flight being canceled. The clerk did not seem at all in a hurry to accommodate; each customer took about 10 minutes to check in. I had to leave the line to return my car, hoping the check in line would be taken care of when I returned. Instead, it was even longer, and we did not get into our room until 2:15am. I would like to give the benefit of the doubt to the clerk - that she was ill-trained. But, I think you need to look into this - either a training issue or an issue with an employee showing no sense of urgency with the check in process.

Went to check in and there were two employees sitting at desk neither wanted to help. When we finally got help and into our room the key didn’t work. Room was dusty. And then again next day key didn’t work again. We stayed for two days never saw house keeping.

Check in was rather terrible. The folks behind the counter were inefficient and then argued (for a long time) rather than helping customers check in. It was just painful to experience. Then there was a rather rude note in the room about linens and stains. So inappropriate. I certainly won't book at this hotel again.

My stay here has been nothing but wonderful. The employees here are very caring and accommodating, they have made my very difficult trip much easier. The ladies at the front desk are so kind and helpful. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Easy to get to and very close to the airport

The staff was very nice but the property location brought a lot of individuals that caused police to be there or were running and arguing in the halls at all hours of the night.

In a sketchy area. Seems nearby hotels may be using to house homeless folks. No food available unless you want to walk through the sketch area with no sidewalks to Waffle House.They do offer shuttle to / from Charlotte airport. Slow to pick you up but good with scheduling your shuttle back. Not a horrible option if your airline leaves you hanging with no compensation due to “weather” or whatever else they come up with

People on drugs half naked coming towards us in parking lot mumbling nonsense, drug deals, police arresting someone nearby. Pot smell in hallway. Staff seemed stoned ( fortunately not the receptionists). Took a pic of what looks like blood on door threshold. One tiny shampoo bottle for 2 queen beds. Sticky carpeting. Noisy hvac, remote missing back cover, frig not very cold, accessory light no longer functional…. Basically run down. The family meeting me to share the room arrived late and refused to stay and found another hotel. Someone appeared out of the bushes intoxicated and was approaching them in the parking lot. I was told I would need my license plate number but they said they didnt need it. Why not? Can anyone park there? Plane noise all night long but I was expecting that so that is just informational. The cracker barrel had a security officer which should have been a hint. There was a portable electronic sign saying “drive carefully “ even though there was no construction happening but now it makes sense because at night intoxicated people randomly cross the street.

Really quiet, not too much around. Gotta head to downtown for better restaurants and tourism.

Staff was nice. Room was clean & area seemed safe. Rooms have refrigerators & microwaves. Breakfast was carb heavy, no fresh fruit or yogurt. Would stay here again though.

Close to the airport is a plus lack of dining in hotel is a minus!

Whole place smelled of marijuana, room ok but breakfast was poor.

Breakfast selection was just cold cereal (1type) and a waffle maker. Not a great idea if you are looking for breakfast

Room was comfortable and clean. Nothing fancy. My daughter flew in 11pm and was meeting me there and she was a little freaked out by the “sketchy crowd” hanging out in the lobby. She used to live in Charlotte and later told me we were in the “worst part of town”. There were no eggs at breakfast. Breakfast attendant said she ran out and hoped the truck was delivering more later in the day. We just left and got breakfast elsewhere.

The furnishing is modern and comfortable. It's clean and quiet, close to the airport, and good for short term stay The breakfast was not great, having only a few bread and bagels straight out of packages and no hot items, no yogurt nor eggs. Or any fruit.
