The bed was comfortable, but the hallways and our room had some strange odors. The bathroom shower was pretty rough looking and the water from the sink and shower felt slimy, like no matter how much you tried to rinse off, it still felt like there was a slippery substance on you. The pool was freezing cold and there was way too much chlorine in it. There was mold on the ceiling and half-finished plaster on the walls. The key pad to get into the pool was broken and a worker had to unlock it for us, which took multiple tries. Breakfast was ok, pretty standard hotel breakfast. Overall, the quality of the hotel was below average and not worth the cost.

The pool needed remodeling. There were multiple metal objects around the pool deck that were rusty. Powdered rust dust surrounded these objects. The area immediately surrounding the hotel has a motel 6, Waffle House, McDonald’s, and there were 2 different beggars outside. Overall, not worth the $170 I paid for the night at all.

Tina is amazing ! i got in about 30 mins early she let me check in. She went above and beyond since the pool was closed for my family and even found me a fan since the room was on the warmer side. very good customer service she helped make this stay great.

Not worth the money…the entire hotel smelled strongly of a chemical cleaning smell yet the rooms weren’t very clean, the pool was broken, and we had to switch rooms three times to find a bed that wasn’t broken. If we could have cancelled our non refundable reservation, we would have immediately left. The only good thing about this property is the friendly and patient staff who helped us finally get to a room without a broken bed.

I've stayed here a few times ( 3 or 3 times) before and it was fine for a budget hotel. But this time they must be under new management. The lobby and hallways REEKED of mildew and mothballs. The smell hits you like a ton of bricks when you walk in. I almost checked out but I was only there for 2 nights and the rooms didn't smell so bad. The pool is super small. More like a kiddy pool. You definitely couldn't swim laps. AGAIN, I can't stress this enough, the lobby reeked of mildew and moth balls. The evening front desk staff was not friendly and the "free wifi" didn't work. For $130 a night It shouldn't smell like your grandma's basement. I plan on writing a letter to corporate.

Our room was incredibly clean and smelled amazing. This hotel has been a middle stop on our route from Central Iowa to southeastern North Carolina. I prefer Comfort Inns, and sadly they aren't always as great as this location. Thank you for restoring faith in the properties. We rarely eat breakfast, so I can't comment on that. But I will definitely return. Thank you!!

When we asked for a new room we were told “That room isn’t a dog room and nothing else is available.” We went back to the room to clean the AC filter where we found dog hair coating the filter. We washed the filter and pulled the blankets back to find a used tissue. We went back to the front desk to get new sheets. This time we were offered a new room. The new room was clean. During the night, we smelled the strong scent of marijuana in a non smoking hotel. The next night was great with no complaints. We likely will not stay here again.

I had booked a room and was called to ask if I would switch to a room with two beds and I said yes. When I got there, the room was right across the hall from the ice machine. I asked if there were any other rooms available and was told there were not. For one night I listened to people getting ice and the ice dropping all night and the second day when I returned from drum corp at University of Dayton, they were ants crawling on the bedspread and the nightstand. It was too late to find any place else to stay so I checked out in the morning and was refunded my last two nights.

The rooms have obviously been updated and were very nice. The breakfast area is quite crowded and showing its age. The chairs were all torn or peeling and there were too many tables packed into a small area so it made moving around difficult. The breakfast was so-so. Our stay was for several days and the juice machine was out of one juice or another nearly everyday and customers kept pointing them out to the attendant. It seemed one attendant was better at making the offerings than the other. Certain days the eggs were awful. Overall, our stay was good. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious.

Stopped here just to rest on long road trip. Booked through Hotels, then checked in 30 min. later. Was charged a $150 deposit. Given room next to vending and noisy ice machine which was leaking. Hotel is old and in run-down condition; adequately cleaned. Breakfast was substandard. Nonetheless, the hotel suited our last minute purposes. However, on checkout we were told we could not have a receipt because of Hotels booking (this has never been a problem in any other property). We asked for a receipt for the deposit; we were told it would be sent by email (we gave our address). The staff was unfriendly, to say the least. -- The $150 charge went through on our card; we have received no receipt; three days later the charge has not been credited back. -- We don't usually leave reviews but this was such a bad experience we feel compelled to do so.

My check in process with Tina was terrible. There was an issue with my reservation that she provided absolutely no help or hospitality in trying to solve. Expedia customer service was excellent in helping me our check in issue, but I will never stay at that location or any other comfort inn and suites again! Tina interrupted me, spoke over myself and my significant other many times, insisted that with her best experience of two years she was in the right. It was just awful. And on top of that our suite smelled strongly of marijuana!! I hope Choice Hotels makes a visit to this location and review them. I’d be happy to explain more of the details. Lastly, thank you to Expedia and their customer service representatives for helping smooth over our reservation quickly and easily. Expedia saved the day!!

Our stay was fine. But as I was checking in, I was informed that a $150 hold would be placed on my card. It was late at night and we’d been traveling all day and I didn’t have the strength to argue about it. He told me it would be taken off immediately upon check out. NINE DAYS LATER the hold is gone. Absolutely inexcusable. The hotel blames the bank. The bank blames the hotel. $150 is completely unacceptable. We were there for ONE NIGHT! Not a week. I will be avoiding Comfort Inn and telling others to as well.

The hotel was convieniently located and there was plenty of food and shopping available. However our room was at the end of the building and close to main st. so there was a lot of traffic noise. Also it was not as clean as we would have liked including an old bbq laying outside our window...but overall I would still reccomend. Good staff and the breakfast was very good.
