Second time coming here. First time was Feb 2024.Room was comfortable. Stayed in the pavilion so room faced outside so did get some noise from outside, it is Fremont so expected. One block from Fremont Street Experience and the Deuce to go to the strip. Main plus is they have a free shuttle to take you to the airport. Have done a remodel of casino from last visit nicely done. Would I stay here again? Yes.

I booked this because my flight was canceled and I needed a place to stay overnight. Expedia said the amenities included an airport shuttle -- which was one of the features we were looking for. However, after we made the booking and called the hotel to find out how to arrange for shuttle pick-up, we were told that the shuttle only takes people from the hotel to the airport, not from the airport to the hotel. So we incurred the expense of a Lyft trip. Then, even though the Expedia site said the price quoted was the total amount, upon checking in we were told that we still had to pay an "amenities fee," which added more to the cost. It wasn't clear what those actual "amenities" were. When I said that I had no toiletries with me and asked whether they could give me a toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, and a shower cap, the receptionist directed me to a store in the hotel where I could purchase them. So I was rather unhappy with all the extra costs.

El Cortez' remodeling sure is nice! It no longer smells like an ash tray while wallking through. All of the added bars, gaming areas and dining are top-notch, and the new rooms are beautiful! I'll definitely stay here again for my next stay-cation. Thanks to Sweet at the front desk for being so nice during check in, and thanks to all the friendly staff that I encountered during my stay. If only El Cortez had a pool … but that's okay. Still a great hotel/casino!

This property is simply outstanding. It's very "OG" Las Vegas where customers are treated respectfully. Great odds at the Blackjack tables (3:2, double-deck, $15 min bet). I've stayed here twice this year and plan to again, it's my new favorite spot!

This was our first time at the El Cortez and we loved it! Walking distance from Fremont experience, but far enough away where it wasn’t too noisy. The restaurants were great, the staff were all friendly. My only feedback is the Spa. We booked a reservation and our appt was pushed back twice, and the full body deep tissue massage was mediocre - didn’t do much for me. It was kind of dungie-looking. Other than that, fantastic and we will def be back!

I got a room in the pavilion for one night. The room smelled horrible, like mildew and meth. There was visible mold, the paint on the ceiling was peeling, there a razor blade with some sort of substance burnt onto it in the closet. I was searching for an outlet behind the bedside table, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned back there in thirty years. I brought the crack-coated razor blade the front desk and asked for them to change rooms a few hours after checked in. They refused to let me change rooms and told me the only way would be to pay an extra $20 for a different room. One of my worst hotel experiences ever

This is rated as an adult only location. If adults are screaming just outside your room like children and no one comes from security, it seems like children can be allowed. The rooms are filthy, don't forget to put shoes on to use the restroom at night, mice poop on the floor. Check in was easy.

Showed up to a dirty room. The bed was made but that’s all that was cleaned. They have cut corners since we began staying here 10 years ago on our trips to LV. Such a shame. This is the beginning of the end for my trust in them. I felt as though they just do not care about cleanliness upon check in. The floors were sticky and dirty, she shower was full of soap scum as was the sink. The surfaces were all covered in dust too.

The hotel rooms are of a newer renovation, with them looking older in style to capture an older era. The bathrooms are more modern. For me I prefer a door to separate the bathrrom from the room as in the middle of the night if you are sharing a room the person sleeping gets a bright light in their eyes. Staying on the North Side of the tower is recommended as the South Side faces clubs with loud music from 10 pm till 2 am.

I enjoyed the casino floor and the free parking. I did not enjoy the thumping music from the outdoor club across the street until 2:45am. I asked to be moved to a different room but was told that there was only one other room available and it wouldn't be any quieter. Also, wifi and tv were hit and miss. Sometimes you had it, and sometimes you didn't. In addition, this property is smack dab in the middle of multiple homeless encampments. People screaming at the top of their lungs, and transients in the casino. It's a sad situation, and it brings a sense of being unsafe.

There is a nearby nightclub that goes until 4am. We were never able to fall asleep until it ended, it sounded like the dance party was next door and it wasn't that close. I won't be able to stay here again due to the noise. Bed was decently comfortable but pillows were not good.

The front desk, valet, bell service and housekeeping was top notch. We chose a tower room after being escorted to the original rooms. The tower room was far superior. The only real issue was that we found mold in the coffee maker water tank. That was quickly replaced and the rest of the visit was smooth.

The first night we were in a room next to a huge fight that kept us up, we asked to be moved. The girl at the front desk said she would move us to the tower for a $40.00 a night upgrade. We said no, we are paying more because of an issue you can't handle. Then they moved us, and the door would not seal, and when we discussed this with them, we were told $40.00 upgrade or that room. The worst time I have had at the El Cortez in years; not going back. No manager was available, we were told.

It’s fine for the price, but a little lacking in basics all the same (air conditioner was a little spotty, bad lighting). The style of the place is vintage vegas which is cool but the casino is a confusing mess (trying to withdraw cash or get your free drink is a nightmare!! ). Also the maid service entered my room at 9 am and woke us up despite the do not disturb sign being out, which really added to the feeling that they were just trying to get guests in and out as fast as possible and were not looking to give us a great stay

Check in was confusing sapphire tried so hars. I lost 2 100 dolla r bills in the game area to left of front desk. Coffee pot broken, door to room even dead bolted still opend reported tofront drsk and no amswer 7 times.wake up call laye and o ly pleasant yhing was the shuttle.driver. there was a lady behind desk sleeping.

They took very good care of us. Our 1st room developed a water leak so we had to move to a different room. That room had a bad bed so they moved us to a suite and completely comped our stay. Very clean rooms very nice and helpful people. We will definitely be back again

Old school hotel vibe - be know the cabanas (room type) are across the street and not in the hotel. So you have to walk to them, and it’s downtown so not everyone may feel safe if alone. Better to not stay in the cabana’s if you don’t want to walk outside at night. The staff was nice overall.

Overall my experience was a good one. I liked the staff and customer service in the building. The decor gave off a nice nostalgic feel and somewhat modernized vibe as well. Pretty close by to all that Fremont street experience has to offer which is convenient. The only thing that I wasn’t too fond of was the homelessness being put in display everywhere you turned and looked. Both my girlfriend and I had no problems with any of them sleeping around or wandering. But I can just tell that they would be taking advantage and preying on anyone that seems to be by themselves and more likely to be vulnerable to theft as well.

Well maintained and clean property. 95% of staff very friendly and efficient. Casino offers and comps were excellent. Food at siegels was affordable, ample portions and good. Desserts and coffee overpriced but that is expected given the food prices.

The picture online is nothing like what it actually looks like the rooms are extremely small not like the photos at all the property is very ran now and out of date they gave us a free drink when we checked in but it literally was so disgusting I almost threw up before I even booked this room I called to see about the airport shuttle and they said I had to do was schedule a pick up once I arrived for cheek in when I got there the lady laughed and told me “just uber or something i don’t know” witch was very rude given that whoever I spoke to before gave me different information highly recommended u don’t stay here or even gamble the rook was very nasty the bed and other small area u wouldn’t normally pay attention to were very dirty dusty and rusted
