Parking garage is not good for large vehicles and the parking fee is $38, per night. No carts available for carrying luggage to room. Carpet in room is old, stained and needs a good cleaning. Very little counter space in bathroom and sink is next to shower head in tub making it difficult to turn on shower valve due to shower door not opening far enough. Breakfast was good and had a large variety to choose from.

The front desk lady was amazing when we checked in. She was super sweet and worked professionally. We were upgraded to a balcony room, the view is of the city and just buildings but I was thankful. The room had a weird smell at first, like the carpet may need a cleaning but after a day, I think we got use to it. The room we had had plenty of space to lay out our suitcases and unpack. You do have to pay for parking and their pool was under construction. Staff was kind and worked hard. Breakfast was amazing and I enjoyed it very much. I had a very long drive back home the day of check out and wanted to sleep in a bit longer and asked for a later checkout and the hotel staff was very accommodating. This hotel location is far away enough from the nightlife so it’s not loud but close enough to Uber or drive there. About 8 mins from gas lamp and 10 mins to seaport village. Loved the location and hotel staff! When in San Diego, I would stay here again. This hotel staff exceeded my expectations! Thank you for being so accommodating.

The parking garage is $35 for the day and the parking garage is VERY TIGHT. I’m not talking about the individual parking spot. I’m talking about the garage as a whole. I feel like every turn would take out my side mirror or scratch the side of my car.

The staff are helpful and friendly. The room Itself was clean but carpet throughout and in rooms is dirty and worn. Be aware that there seems to be almost daily loud garbage collection early each morning. In addition if other guests are noisy this carries along the whole length of the one long corridor to most of the rooms on the floor level.

My room smelt so horrible. It smelt as if someone left a wet dog in the room. The bathroom was filled with mold. Luckily the staff came to help clean, but my goodness it was bad. I asked to switch rooms but there were not available. When the cleaning staff came to help clean, even they felt bad about the smell. Luckily I only stayed one night, but never again.

The bed and bathroom were clean which is what matters. Our room had a couch which we didn’t sit in because it had brown stains all over it. There was also a big red stain on the carpet by the couch. The carpet looked really old and dirty. The parking garage was small and tight to drive around so just be aware to drive slowly and be careful driving around corners. The breakfast was great and they had a little patio area outside which was cute. The breakfast was constantly refilled which was nice and the area was clean. The staff was great and friendly. However when we stayed there was some high school students and they started knocking on our door late at night I guess they were playing ding dong ditch (that wasn’t the staff’s fault) it was just an annoyance.

The room itself was okay. The only thing was that the parking was very tight to where my car got even hit my another car while I parked there which made me not park my car there again for the following night. My next door neighbor was very loud and was disturbing all night. My shower was so disgusting. The bathtub looked like it had never been cleaned before. Over all this was not a great hotel to stay in.

Fabulous beds, very comfortable. Bathroom door is more of a barn-style door that does not lock, so make sure you stay with people you are comfortable with. We stayed to visit colleges nearby (UCSD, USD) and it was a quick 15 min drive to both. There was a yummy burger joint just a 6 minute walk from the hotel, however as it got darker out, we were a little nervous walking back to the hotel due to some unhoused people meandering about. The parking situation is WILD the underground parking is tight, so I do not recommend having a large vehicle. We took a 5 minute drive down to the wharf which had easy parking, museums, waterfront restaurants, boat tours, and a pleasant walking path. Highly recommend heading down there for a day, lots to do. The room was clean and had great views of downtown. Downtown can be noisy so just be prepared! No screen on our window, but we were high enough from the street to not be worried about intruders. The complimentary breakfast has something for everyone, and there is plenty of complimentary coffee in the lobby all day and downstairs breakfast area in the morning. We also appreciated the Water Bottle Refill station, we were able to fill up our re-usable water bottles (brought from home) for free before our journeys to visit college campuses.

Parking: narrow Parkade, stressful at the beginning especially with a big SUV rental. Room: hard to sleep with the NOISY a/c on Day 1, had to turn if off at night, but with the ice machine outside, harder to sleep at all. Day 2 with earplug was a bit better but still could hear the noises. Two beds in the room, one mattress is time to be replaced (not much support left). Breakfast: Take-out-Box is available as the dinning space is limited seating, really convenient to take the breakfast to go. The food was wonderful and had a good variety, rotating with scramble eggs / cheese omelet, sausage / patty, hard brown cube, cinnamon rolls, and most continental breakfast items.

Breakfast is a treat . I like how they have variety of options and the food was refilled instantly . The curtains in the room needed to be darker to keep the sunlight out. And yes like many other reviews, the wall super thin here you could hear the staffs and people walking in the corridor or children screaming from the other side of the hall

Nice little room in convenient spot for concert at Petco Park (less than mile walk). That said, rooms feel a little small, and bathroom is very small. Additionally, bathroom awkward of room sharing because they have sliding barn style door that don’t truly shut and you can see right through where it “closes”. Free breakfast what you would expect. Staff very friendly.

It started before we even checked in, I called the hotel to change the card on file. Instead, they put a $209 charge on BOTH of my cards on file…which I hadn’t received back for days after my vacation was already over. The sheets in our room were stained but we slept in them the first night because we were drained from driving down. The second day we left for at least 6 hours so I had told the front desk to please have someone change the sheets, give us new towels, and throw out the trash. We got back after another long day and our room was untouched. Everything was still a mess, sheets were still stained, it was honestly….irritating. We asked someone to come up and clean the room and it took them over an hour to come. We received new towels and told them to come back after we left to change our sheets. We left for night activities and came back, and again, the sheets were untouched. We checked out the next day, and switched hotels. Very unpleasant service but the breakfast was great.

The customer service was absolutely terrible. This gentlemen with dark, curly hair and a beard (who was working the front desk and not wearing a name tag) was rude, inattentive, and unhelpful. He didn’t mention the IHG rewards program when I first got to the hotel (which is free and included a lot of perks that helped me save money). Instead, he charged me full price for the parking which was $38/night. This other employee at the front desk named Mira was great! She educated me about the program and took her time to explain the process on how to sign up. She told me by being a member, I could check in early for free and save $10/night on parking. That other gentlemen did not care about the customer or their needs; he was just doing the bare minimum. During check out, that same gentleman assisted me. When he gave me the receipt, I noticed that he charged me three times for parking instead of two. He charged me twice for the same night (one for $38 and one for $28) and the following night for $28. When I brought it to his attention, he gave me attitude and said I was wrong. He insisted that only two-night parking was charged. When I asked him to take another look, he did not admit to his mistake or apologize to me. He just processed the refund and gave me a new receipt. Whoever this gentleman was, he needs to be accounted for. Due to this experience, I will never stay at this hotel again or recommend to anyone. Very disappointing.

This is a solid place to say. Big bed, nice balcony. Friendly staff member (Carmen). Excellent breakfast. Only thing to be warned about: the hotel is on a step incline so if you are walking to it be prepared. I would definitely stay again.

The hotel states that check-in time is at 3 PM, however our room wasn't ready until around 4 PM. Also the quality of the breakfast could have been better. The scrambled eggs had a watery taste and they only had turkey and pork sausage for the meat option, no bacon or ham, and the biscuits were somewhat hard. The balcony area had two chairs, but no table. It would have been nice to have a table for the either the balcony area or inside the room. Despite these things the staff was courteous and helpful.

I rented 5 rooms for myself and staff. One we never could stay in 1001 right by the breakfast room. Started out about 5:30am in the ice machine over and over again to set up for breakfast. I was told would get a new room it never happen. We also had to change another room for another employee, the room smelled so much like smoke he couldn’t stay in it. The staff also told us the parking was $20 a night it ended up being $28.00. The garage we paid to park in was full one night we parked on a lower level to be threatened with a ticket for parking in the wrong place. The hallways were hot, muggy and smelled like mold and the pool was closed. No one ever offered to lower my bill or apologize. Terrible Location! Stay Away!!
