Strange facility. Limited parking out front, which happened to have a lot of oversized trucks in a tight lot. Large amount of gated parking in the back. Only one elevator. My key became deactivated at some point after the initial use. The bathroom had been redone and was obvious on the door and shower with different marks and roughness. The shower had a 2/3 fixed glass partition so water bounces out and cold air flows in. Rain shower head looked nice but can barely be rotated. Didn’t matter with barely any water pressure.

The room was nice. The bathroom was dirty. I had to go out and buy cleaning supplies to clean the shower. The shower had only a half shower glass door and the shower head was in the ceiling. The floor of the shower had hair in it and it was dirty. The shower head was rusty and dirty also. I didn’t like that one glass non movable door at all. The shower head didn't move so you had to stand right underneath it. There was hair on the floor underneath the sink. There was no microwave which I should have made sure that the room came with one. The hotel itself is outdated. Not impressed at all.

I really liked this particular Holiday Inn. Very clean, very comfortable bed and pillows. They also had security at the door after dark and their security gaurds were very nice and made us feel safe rather than nervous. We were coming back from a concert and many guests at the hotel also attended the concert. A lot of people were coming back drunk and rowdy; the security presence immediately curbed that and settled everyone down without feeling "policed." This felt very family friendly. I will stay here again the next time I'm in town. Their cleaning staff was incredibly nice and friendly too. I barely heard them cleaning the surrounding rooms when we woke up late the next morning, and they were quick to help me with extra towels and extra creamer for coffee in our rooms. Towels were fluffy too, not bleached and scratchy. All in all a good hotel.

Our check-in process was pleasant and smooth. When we got to the room, it was nice and clean. We did notice there wasn't a microwave and the design of the shower was strange. The design of the shower didn't close. So the showers were uncomfortable, and you couldn't enjoy a hot shower because of the cold air flowing in. The bed was not the best, but overall, it was quiet and clean, and we survived.

We come to Greensboro often for swim meets at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. We have had some BAD experiences at other local hotels, poor customer service, unprofessional employees, etc. Our stay at the Holiday Inn this weekend was WONDERFUL. Some of the best, polite, friendly, hotel employees I've seen in a long time. The front desk clerks were great. Hotel seemed like it had been renovated since we were last there. The in room refrigerator was HUGE and even had a "working" freezer section that kept my cooler ice packs solid over the course of 48 hours. Very positive experience. The Holiday Inn Coliseum remains our "go to" when in the area.

Everything was good except check-in. Policy for check in is terrible. I arrived early and told room was not ready which was understandable. But then proceeded to watch 5 people be checked in after that! That was very frustrating! When i asked what was going on i was told rooms were assigned night before and my room wasnt ready but the others where. That is ridiculous! Most rooms are exactly the same i should have been checked into a room that was available not had to wait for an hour when you proceeded to check people in after me.

The property is very well maintained and clean. Modern and up to date. The staff is very pleasant and professional and genuinely seem happy to see you!! I would like to especially give a thank you and compliment to Ebone. She went above and beyond to make sure my daughter and grandson could check in early as they had an early morning flight and needed rest. She is an asset to this hotel. Highly recommend.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. I was disappointed in a few things. One, the cost of breakfast was $16 a person, and wasn’t much different than the typical free breakfast that many other hotels offer. Two, the fire alarm went off at 8:30am and woke us up and we weren’t offered any explanation. Third, house keeping came knocking at 9:00 when check out is noon. What if we wanted to sleep in? It seemed like their way of waking you up so that you would get out early so they could clean.

It was very convenient for our event at the Coliseum however the surrounding area is described as sketchy and not recommended for walking from the Coliseum at night which is a shame as it’s just a mile down the road.

The hotel was well maintained and the beds were super comfortable and each pillow was labeled “soft” or “firm” which isn’t a necessity but I thought it was pretty cool. The only thing I didn’t like was that breakfast buffet was $16.99 per person and it is the same breakfast they have been serving at hotels since I can remember so that was kind of a shock. All of the staff was very nice as well!

The hotel is really close to the coliseum and Piedmont Hall, so its very convenient. The staff are awesome and the facilities are clean. But skip the $17.99 breakfast, and hit Biscuitville which is basically next door.
