Grandover Resort & Spa, a Wyndham Grand Hotel

Staff was very professional and friendly. The facilities are excellent and the food was very delicious. This was a return trip because the first was excellent also. Highley recommend, especially if you play golf, but not required. They have two 18 hole golf courses that are very well maintained.

The outstanding property, 2 pools, hot tub, several restaurants and the meticulous groundskeeping are surpassed only by the excellent service from the staff. Definitely would stay here again!!

Amenities, aesthetically appealing, indoor, outdoor pool, sauna with led lighting and a waterfall.

Very nice hotel and spa. Las minute get away. The room and facility are spotless and look like they were recently renovated. Spa and massage were very good as was the pool and hot tub. Nice staff. Food was good. Room with a golf course view is what you want.

Everything great. Except hot tub is under renovation. :(

The Grandover was an excellent experience. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were great, and the hot tub and pool area were well maintained.

Great hotel, pool, restaurants, option to rent bikes and staff. I went on a weekend for a mini staycation. Wanted to hang out by the pool all day because the sun was finally out. Seems everyone had the same idea. It was very crowded and I couldn’t get a sun lounge chair. A ton of people and kids. Other than that was a great stay.

Great for families. Entire game room downstairs with a cafe / our kids remember that most!

The Grandover has always been a favorite for me and my wife. The front desk customer service person was wonderful. However, the room we were given had a musty/mildew odor. At first I assumed it was from the heat unit we had to turn on to knock chill off. Upon further investigation, it appears it was coming from bathroom shower. Not sure why, but smell was certainly related to this area. I am sure The Grandover would have fixed or moved to another room, but it was late and not in the mood to deal with possible move. Otherwise, they would have gotten 5 stars as usual when we stay. I trust upon this feedback, they will take the necessary steps to correct. Enjoy your stay!

Room was nice and clean. Elevators going up to room were filthy. Didn't look like doors or ceilings had been washed in months. They need to be cleaned and polished.

Blood n my shower

The core structure is very pretty and grand however, some carpet areas were, quite frankly, unacceptably dirty. They should also do something about a smell in their carpeted hallways.

There was a plaster on the floor in our room which is not mine for sure.......Somebody should have seen that when cleaning the room.

The golf courses look nice and well maintained but the rooms are very old. They need an upgrade! Linens are cheap and feel like sand paper. A room and a hallway smelled like sweaty socks.

The staff was wonderful. The rooms were very large. Food was great.

Beautiful place, all amenities available at hotel. Two very noticeable things. Wi-fi never worked the whole stay. Also the Spa area would never answer the phone.

There are many activities that you can do at this resort. The regular room is very spacious and well appointed. The staff goes over and above to accommodate. We plan to return next year.

Given a $ off dinner for two at Finial, the on site restaurant, only to be told by the hostess they were short staffed and unable to accommodate a walk in party of 2, at 7 PM on a Wednesday, while looking at the floor, less than 20 people total were currently seated, wow? After making a reservation then more than an hour wait at the bar, and an appetizer from the same kitchen, to ensure we didn’t receive poor service. The server couldn’t have been worse than if it was her first day in food service. The food was excellent as always, but 3.5 hours start to finish is absurd. Luckily the pool doesn’t close until 11, except for today apparently, we were in the hot tub for less than 5 minutes when a security guard whose demeanor appeared as though we had burglarized the Louvre, by his attempting multiple keys and not realizing the door was locked magnetically arrived at the entrance. After watching him for a few minutes, I exited the hot tub, walked to the door, pressed the exit button and opened the door for him, only to be greeted with, “the pool’s closed” with a tone reminding me of a parent scolding a child for doing something they had already been told to not do. My reply was simply, I’m not in the pool, I’m in the hot tub and there is no sign denoting this. If I came in the door he had just been let in, there was indeed a sign stating same, only issue is that I entered through the door nearest the elevator that I take down from my room. Resort? I think not, motel at best!

I was very dissatisfied with check in. Check in was supposed to be at 4:00. I had 2 rooms and 1 was for my 87 year old father and 78 year old mother. 1 room was ready at 7:30pm and second room was ready at 9:00pm. This is unacceptable. My 87 year old father was exhausted just waiting for his room. You are charged extra for checking out late but not even an apology for 9pm check in. We are supposed to go back May 17-19 and I'm seriously debating whether to stay there or somewhere else because I cant risk another 9pm check in. Ive stayed at Grandover before and never had a terrible check in before. Is it a 1 time terrible experience or is this the new norm?? Very dissatisfied!!!!

It was a great birthday weekend getaway! The staff did an amazing job with making sure we felt welcome and comfortable.

Beautiful hotel and great customer service.

No one could get in their room. Staff was awful. Telling us it will be 29 min. 2 hours later i got told i would be escorted out because i said i wasnt leaving front desk till i got my room. I did all prebooking online day before. Awful customer service. I only saw parking lot and lobby.

The staff, especially at Cafe Espresso and Finial, were friendly and attentive. The entire hotel was immaculate — shiny, clean, well-manicured! Enjoyed my few days there and will stay again when I return to the area. (Tip: Get the melt-in-your-mouth filet mignon and the blondie brownie dessert at Finial! OMG! Heavenly! )

Check in was beyond pathetic. Took 4 hours. My daughters had to stand in line to take showers in the locker room, which had no AC. The only compensation offered by the hotel was alcohol drink vouchers (2) given to all of us waiting (prob 150 people) and it was beer/wine only and I don't drink. My daughters were late to the music concert because of this hotel. I understand housekeeping is an issue but 8:ooPM check-in is ridiculous for $309 dollars a night. Very bad experience. I feel like I need to refunded for this stay. No discount was given. I was charged full price.

The staff, every single person went above and beyond! They were kind and helpful and so friendly; I enjoyed my stay so much and will definitely consider returning on my next trip to Greensboro!

Great facility with all the amenities. Close proximity to High Point University that we were visiting.

Two 18-hole golf courses anchor this aging but well-maintained resort adjacent to I-85. Rooms are comfortable and there is much to do and see on the extensive resort grounds. Dining options at the resort are more than adequate and the food and service has never disappointed. We arrange our travel schedule to accommodate at least one overnight stay at the Grandover when traveling by car to or through Greensboro. One of the best hotel bargains we’ve encountered in a year of continuous travel. Not to be missed!

Like the fact the property is out by itself. Did not like the fact the room was not ready, check in was 4 , room not ready till 5

The Grandover is a pleasant retreat located in an upscale area. The service is spot on and with it being close to Charlotte and Raleigh, a perfect spot for a girl's weekend. The rooms are nicely amenitized and beds super comfortable. Grandover is a great value for the room rate.

Great location

Excellent resort with amazing staff!! Great golf and spa getaway with the wife. First time away from the kids. It was wonderful. Food at the resort was great. Only complaint is local food restaurants are all like 20 mins away.

Location to Furnitureland keeps us returning. Beautiful rooms and nice views. FINIALS restaurant was new to us, dinner was lovely. Lobster bisque good. My salad was rather small, but good. We shared the Lobster, and shrimp grits which was wonderful and filling. I complimented the kitchen. Dessert was delicious..blueberry cobbler with ice cream. Amy and John Eric were excellent servers.

Everything on the property was conveniently located. The hotel location was very close to shopping centers and eateries, if you didn't want to eat at the hotel. The food was great and the staff was amazing.

The hotel was beautiful. We had an issue getting our dinner and had to wait 2 hours for our food which was tough with kids but the server who delivered it was very nice and helpful. We figured the hotel was busy with the dinner crowd so we didn’t push it too much. Overall our stay was great. We especially loved the cafe with games and a lounge area which was great for breakfast with the family.

Fabulous stay for a quick over night business trip. The dinner was exquisite!

The restaurant staff was unfriendly when I placed an order to go and after placed order they got the order wrong and the shower drain was not draining

We like the resort. We expected to have a nice sit down breakfast before we left town. However, the restaurant was closed for breakfast! Had to go elsewhere.
