Worst bed and pillows I've ever experienced. The screen on the TV had red lines going through it, like the screen was about to go out. Room service came once in 4 days. Continental breakfast wasn't terrible. The hot tub was nice to relax in after work.

The whole place needs a cleaning. Dull and dreary. I also paid on Expedia but still received charges on my credit card. Poorly managed. Hot tub was cold. Breakfast was spartan.

This property was above-average. It is pet-friendly, which was a benefit for us. We arrived late and left early, so we didn't get the full experience.

Check in was pretty quick and painless! Hot tub was temporarily out of order, even though the front desk said it would be open in a few hours (never happened though). I liked that the tv in the room was a smart tv and i was able to log into my streaming apps! Clean room was nice as well!

From check-in to check-out the experience was excellent! The parking is easy, the site is easy to find, tons of local restaurants and stores near by and freeway access is great. Also, the receptionists are very friendly and knowledgeable. The room is exactly as described and is clean. Basic, but we Loved the layout, beds + USB ports. Everything within the room worked well with no concerns. Finally, the breakfast they serve is a delight and promotes healthy choices along with old fashioned comfort eats. Check out was fast and pleasant. Pet friendly hotel was clean on the grounds and completely hassle free!

Property showing some signs of wear. Hot tub was not open. The property is right next to the freeway so if you stay on the west side (like I did), the freeway noise is apparent even into the night. The room was quite clean and the bed comfortable.

Providing customers with the option to rent a canine-friendly room was superb. It alleviated our conundrum of having to house or house-sit our pet whilst we are away.

This is the first time I've stayed in a hotel with a pet, and i wasn't sure what to expect. There was lament flooring throughout the hotel, which I appreciate for cleanliness with pets in and out, and the front desk was open 24-7, making it easy to take a pet out during the night.

Great basic room for times when you are going to be mostly out and about. Clean, basic, comfortable bed. Pet friendly.

The staff was always quick to respond and courteous. Great price for a convenient location and extended stay. Saved me a bundle by allowing my dog to stay with me.

The room was not clean at all. We found cigarette that’s in dog food on our floor and when I told the manager upfront, all they said was well sorry

Front desk staff were very nice upon checking in, lobby seemed clean but my bed had tons of black hair all through the sheets and on top of the blanket. I don’t think they wash the bedding in between stays

When I woke up the first night I itched like crazy and found bugs in my bed I don't think they were bed bugs. They changed my sheets and cleaned the room again and seemed to solve the problem. Staying here saved me $300, that is the only reason why I staid & didn't go to another hotel.

This hotel was the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever been to. I had stayed there previously and while it was old, it was fairly clean. I had the hotel employee come look at the room and said that “it was the worse he’s ever seen” but would not let us out of our reservation. The curtains were stained with something reddish brown, black mold on the window sills, stained/dirty chair, unidentified gunk on the phone, stained sheets. We changed rooms to a room that was slightly less dirty. I was disappointed and disgusted the entire stay.

Our room, 211, smelled awful… like spoiled milk. Window doesn’t shut completely. The corner chair was stained and dirty. Black mold on the bathroom ceiling with no working vent. The mattress was comfortable, the pillows were old and very much used. Throughout the building there were unfinished pieces of ceiling and molding. Very much dated. The breakfast leaves much to be desired. Access to the hotel is very easy and it’s easily navigable to campus/downtown. It’s a good place to stay if you’re on a tight budget, but I’d use my own blanket, pillow and towel for cleanliness.

In four days the room was not cleaned once, not even the towels were replaced.

Sheets had stains, bathroom was caked with dirt on the tile seams, hair in tub. Check in person wasn’t friendly and didn’t even mention the breakfast hours or location. Elevators reeked of cigarettes.

I walked up to the manager to check in, and he ignored me. Then the other guy couldn’t find my reservation, and it took an hour to check in. All the bathroom tubs have pink mildew/mold. Overall terrible, not going back.

This hotel is very old and not very clean. Very disappointed in our stay !

Older hotel, clean, could hear freeway traffic - loud.

Pros: - Very close to WWU, Whole Foods, Fred Meyers, and plenty of other services. - Queen bed was comfy - Quick and easy check-in and check-out - Wifi - several electrical and USB-C outlets - mini-fridge and microwave Cons: - bed pillows are small and flatten quickly. There were 4 so that helped me enjoy my overnight stay better. - bath towels are quite small. I'm 5'2" and was surprised by the short length.

Very noisy being right next to the highway. Bathroom could use a deep clean. We stayed for 2 nights and they didn’t refresh the room or towels. Would not stay here again.

Clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff. Bathroom on the small side, but clean and nice water pressure.

It was convenient to where I needed to go and reasonable. The walls are thin...I could hear the person above me walking around ...hard to sleep.

The traffic noise from Interstate 5 is horrendous at all hours of the night.

We travel to Bellingham several times a year, and this was our first time staying at the Guesthouse. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. While the price was reasonable, the overall experience left much to be desired. I had specifically requested a king-size bed in a quiet location, but we were given a king-sized bed in a small room right next to the front entrance. The noise from the breakfast area and laundry room made it nearly impossible to get a good night’s rest. This was far from the peaceful stay I had hoped for. There were a few other issues during our stay that were disappointing. For starters, we were only provided with one room key, despite there being two adults. Additionally, we were not informed that housekeeping only cleans rooms every other day. This lack of communication was frustrating, as we had expected daily cleaning. The breakfast, which was one of the perks of the hotel, was only available until 9:00 AM, and the room was locked promptly after. If you missed it, you were out of luck. This early cutoff was inconvenient, especially for those who enjoy a more leisurely morning. The Wi-Fi was another problem—it was very unreliable and kept dropping connection, which could have been an issue if I needed to work during our stay. Thankfully, I didn’t. Very nice staff! Room was clean and the bed fairly comfortable. Downsides were the highway noise is loud (which ended up not keeping me awake so it was ok) and the sink is outside the bathroom. Bathroom is tiny. I still think it’s a great value for the price!

Great walkable location to downtown. Very close to a coffee shop for our early departure. Room was nothing special,dated,old but workable shower, very tight bathroom layout… but was exactly what we needed for the night and in our price point. Would stay again.

Bed is uncomfortable and very hard. Only got ONE tiny pillow. Staff not willing to give another pillow. Never got any housekeeping service. Arrived at 335pm and was told to sit in lobby and wait till 4pm or “their system” charges $50 fee for early room entry.

Faith at check in was amazing. My app changed the date I had been looking at, but because it was so late in the day when I decided to purchase for that evening, it changed it to the next day! After not much help with customer service, I called hotel and she helped me fix the mistake. This was our second visit to this property and will not be the last. Thank you Faith!

Housekeeping staff and front desk team are always excellent and make me feel welcome

To be frank, we didn’t have the best “introduction” to the property as the guests in front of us were dealing with an incident that involved getting keys to an occupied room & the staff didn’t seemed apologetic at all and dealt with it very nonchalantly. When that was done, a gentleman asked to go ahead of us as he had to figure out his keys and it turned out he was the one staying in said occupied room. When it was finally our turn, the check in process was quick. We was given keys right away and that was it. Didn’t get the usual hotel talk (wifi password, pool/ spa hours, breakfast…etc) other than don’t take the elevator because it was slow and to take the stairs. Hindsight, we weren’t even sure if there was breakfast? Room was fine, zero thrills - one light bulb was out, fridge is more like a cooler, pillows were all lumpy, but that’s not a big deal. It was clean and we can tell they are trying to update the place. Ultimately, It did the trick as we were just staying one night. We did get a little anxious that another guest would randomly get access to our room so we made sure we put the chair and such in front of our door. Hah. Central location, walkable distance to some shops and restaurants, short Uber rides from downtown breweries.

I had a situation arise that forced me to cut short my 5-day stay by two days. I gave the hotel more than 24 hours notice of this and asked for whatever refund they could offer. They declined anything. Not going back there ever, even though I visit Bellingham at least 3X per year.

Not very accommodating regarding late checkout. Charge $50 extra for late checkout. Requested to check out on time instead and asked if they would be willing to store luggage in the morning until noon. This was refused.

They need to hire more staff, there was only one person checking in a long line of people when we arrived. The poor girl was swamped. Also, our TV was not working. We told the staff right away but were told we could not switch rooms because the hotel was full. They said they would send maintenance, but we did not hear from them until after 9pm when we were already in bed.

Great clean place and friendly staff

The staff is the best especially Stephen in the front desk, he was very accomodating and friendly to my family, my sick uncle was able to meet his entire family before passing and our gathering was a happy and uplifting experience, thank you.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and surrounding area expeirienced a black out and i witnessed numerous people demanding refunds because the power went out (implying it was the hotels fault). The staff remained calm, even when the people didnt understand that they couldnt get refunds until power was restored. The power was out for maybe 40minutes.

Next to a very nice coffee cafe and Fred Meyers.

All we needed for a place to lay our heads for a night. Close to the freeway and convenient being right next to a Fred Meyer and same parking lot as a coffee shop 😋

Close to downtown Bellingham and Bellis Fair Mall.

A fairly typical but also fairly nice highway motel. the front desk clerks were helpful. The facility is within easy walking distance to a Fred Meyer store with good grocery selections and just about anything else a traveler might need to buy And the store is open late, which is very convenient for travelers arriving late in the evening..

With our hotels.com discount, the motel offered good value for the cost / area, and while it's a little rough around the edges, I'd stay again. The location is very convenient: just off the freeway and close to downtown, a grocery store, etc.

Excellent value and location. About a mile away from the downtown area. Many modes of transportation to go around. Overall a great stay we will be back

Good hotel for a quick stop. Right near the highway, but still only about a 15 minute walk to downtown Bellingham. The hotel is dated, nothing super luxurious, but it's clean and safe. Free breakfast is nice. Staff is friendly, price is good. I've stayed here twice, would recommend for an affordable hotel in Bellingham

I liked the location. Easy off and back onto the I-5.

They provide a very limited breakfast and do not replenish at all. I don’t feel this should be advertised as a stay with breakfast. The rooms are updated but the rest of the property is older and not well maintained. Staff very friendly.

Cold breakfast. No rugs.

The breakfast was absolutely awful they had very little selection no protein what so ever and the breakfast staff didnt even show up. It was WAY worse than when i had come years ago here many times.there was no waffle batter only toast or dry oatmeal.no peanut butter i definitely would NOT come again because of the horrible breakfast.

Check in was easy. We booked 2 rooms but one room smelled like pot so they quickly swapped with another room. Problem solved! The hotel is older but renovated so it's satisfactory for the most part (bathroom could be updated). Breakfast is included but honestly the offerings were abysmal! We've stayed at many 2-4 star lodgings with free breakfast and this was a new low for us! In fact, the last two times we've stayed here, the receptionist didn't even notify us of this perk (lol) leading me to wonder if even they are embarrassed about it. We took advantage of the free offering this time and laughed our way around the room looking at the toast, froot loops, one hardboiled egg, and the standard waffle iron.

Front counter attendant was very unfriendly, didn’t seem very interested in being there. No coffee made for breakfast, and very limited choices for food.

Continental breakfast was very sparse with very few options first day they did have yogurt, second day there was none. Coffee was good

Breakfast shot down at 9:00 on a Sunday which seemed early. No coffee available at 9:05 which was frustrating.

It was nicer than expected. Comfy bed. The breakfast is nice with waffles, toast, muffins, but no peanut butter or eggs. We'd stay again.

The price was good. We were cold. Not enough pillows for a king sized bed and blanket was not sufficient. My husband forgot his hat and when he called he was told lost items were only held for 24 hours. The free breakfast was really basic, yogurt, waffles, no eggs. The television was weird limited channels.
