Super 8 by Wyndham Gainesville TX

Bed sheets had hair on it and needs mor pillows. Only 1 entrance was avaliable

No elevator and we had a room upstairs

At the back door the overhang blocks the light. It's very dark and I fekt unsafe using that entrance. There were a couple of guys standing in front of the entrance smoking when I got there.

It was okay nothing great but nothing too bad either. No elevators.

Left before breakfast was offered. Ice machine did not work on second floor.

The room was in good condition although old. The one staff person I saw was quick and pleasant and it was late when I got there. The vending machines were broken. The carpets in the hallways were stained and old, but it appeared clean. The moldings in the hallways were old and cracked. The place just appeared very old. I’m assuming it was a super eight motel that Wyndham hotels just bought and will be updating in the future?

The swimming pool was not ready, the pathway from the hotel to the pool was somewhat blocked by 2 mattresses,over nice room….other than the 2 for 1 issue of the pool and access to pool

Overall hotel in all aspects was great except that pool was not open seem under repair wish I’d been told in advance

This place is a hole. No elevators, rear door didn't lock, stairs hadn't been vacuumed in ages, overwhelming odor of marijuana. The room floor was sticky in the whole room, the bathroom floor was disgusting (hairs), holes in the walls and doors. At least we didn't find bedbugs or roaches.

Rooms were okay, but lack of elevator to second floor was not ideal. Stairs seemed unsafe. People hanging out in hallways and people working on cars outside in parking lot felt unsafe and strange. I don’t plan on returning.

They need to spend some time and money on this property. Our drop-down ceiling in the room was falling in right above where our heads lay in the bed. The bathroom floor tile was chipped. The sheets had what looks to be blood stains on them. The curtains looked filthy. There was dust and sticky residue on the lamps and refrigerator. The bathroom mirror needed cleaned because it had splatters of something on it.

Didn’t get to it rooms had crickets and bed bugs in the bed and bugs in the Tubs horrible never seen nothing like it.

Not clean. Floors in the room were clearly dirty and sticky. Stains all over everything. Hallway and lobby all smelled bad.

BED BUGS. No refund. I think if a hotel has bed bugs you should get a refund. We left with our stuff in trash sacks we had. I asked the attendant at the desk for 2 trash bags. He said i can give you only one. 2 elderly women drove 5 hours in the middle of the night to get home . We were in the same clothes and no sleep for 24 hours.I'm a Google reviewer. I did one. It has a video of live bed bugs. I wonder if your itching. We did all the way home. Were going to leave our stuff outside for at least 5 days. I did feel threaten because I had a complaint and thought they would say i did something to the room. I said that to the attendant. So,he finally walked to the room and checked it out. He said it looked fine. So,I took lots of pictures. No Super 8 by Wyndham for us. Men were lurking around the hotel outside. It startled us women. It ended up as a nightmare. We couldn't stay anywhere else,because our clothes touch the beds.We went home and cut our trip to just 1 day. NOT HAPPY AND VERY DISAPPOINTED. WAIST OF TIME.I hope they have cameras. I think, if they have cameras it's for the bed bugs to know your coming. Gross!!!!

Did not eat there, due to killing a couple of roaches the first night arrived, the air conditioner worked during the day, night time it would not come on, deaf need bugs was definitely still on the mattress seam, killed a bug on the floor, came back later after housekeeping cleaned, bug was still on the floor, also paper that my mother had stopped was still on the floor so I know it wasn't swept. Guy that checked is on very friendly and helpful. TV would not come on, he came and fixed it, remote still didn't work had to manually shut off.

The first room we were in smelled horrible. They moved us to a different room but it was still dirty. Woke up with bed bug bites. Disgusting.

The motel was dirty, trash up and down the hallway. Dirt in the lobby and kitchen area. The floor in the rooms were coming up like they were in a rush and just threw it down. This is one place I will never stay at again!

There were roaches in our room.

So property is run down but decent. I had an issue with walking into room and my shoes sticking to the floor. Went to dollar tree and bought cleaning stuff and towel (no mop) went back and poured on floor and mopped. Water was black! Took picture showed to front desk and he shrugged it off. Next morning key didn’t work. Second morning key didn’t work. We only stayed cause it was close to concert venue! If you have a choice go somewhere else. And they weren’t cheap. $ 325.00 for 2 nights

Bed Bugs crawling over you .We run out of there. Checked out.Never again will I stay.

This is an average place to stay, we just needed an affordable room for one night while traveling. My only issue was the bath/shower was very slippery! There is a bathmat provided and I did use it, but I had a bad fall. I was turning to get under the showerhead to rinse and one foot was off of the mat. I completely slipped and fell backwards out of the shower. I grabbed the shower curtain, but it was designed to breakaway, so I hit the floor on my back and head. Luckily I was ok, considering all that could've happened. I have a deep bruise on my left arm, but my back is ok. I hit my head on the tile floor, but it didn't cause a bump, just a headache. The desk clerk was very nice when I reported it, but didn't make an incident report like I thought was necessary. He did show concern and asked if I was ok, which I told him I was. I do feel that the shower should have a more secure flooring. This could easily happen again and the next person might get severely injured. The manager never called or spoke to me. The desk clerk said he would let him/her know, but I was never contacted.

The thermostat on the heater didn’t work. It was either 80 deg or off. The bathroom floor was filthy. Socks and the bath mat saved it.

We were in room 104 and the highway was noisy. The inside noise wasn’t bad but I had a hard time sleeping with the outside noise!

The bed was comfortable

The room was a little disappointing. No coffee pot, hole in wall. Only a cold sad breakfast, waffles and cold cereal.

It is an older property but was maintained well and very clean. Although is right near the highway, it was very quiet inside the rooms. The price was lower than most other hotels in the area. We were in the area for a concert at Winstar and it was a quick and easy drive there and back. Highway construction in the area but it was not a problem for us.

For staying 1 night it might not be that bad however the lamps were broken or didn’t work- TV didn’t work and shower faucet fell off when I went to use it. Put the faucet back on- and no hot water. We changed rooms and the next room had no stopper for the tub- and no thermostat on the heat. The owners were quick to move us to a different room but the hotel needs quite a few repairs.

I love this hotel. Yes it's a little dated but it checks off all of the boxes from comfort to quality and mostly price.

Place seems a little dated for the price..need new comforters. Too thin.

The owners and the front-desk attendant were all competent and extremely friendly. The room price was perfectly fair for the quality of lodging and service that I received in return.

Housekeeping were rude.Opened my room door at 9am.The website states with my Onekey rewards level,I was given a 2 hour late check out. Housekeeping didn't care and stood at my room at 11am demanding we check out. Front desk agent was ok and the beds were very comfortable.

I asked to check in a little early. He told me rooms were not available but if I paid $20 cash I could check in. I paid the $20 and asked for a receipt and he told me no that they don’t give receipts for that. When I got to the room I checked around and pulled back the sheets. They looked to be 20 years old. Almost holes in the sheets. The beds were not properly made either. The pillows were horrible. There was hair in the bathtub and on the bathroom floor. The baseboards were filthy. I will not stay here again.

The room was clean, well furnished and quiet. The front desk and other employees were friendly and helpful. The WiFi was sufficient to allow me to stay connected to my employer’s CMS virtually around the clock. For price, I have zero complaints.

Quick check-in. They already had my reservation and I had pre checked. Polite and courteous front desk. We are pleased.

My husband and I paid for a 2 night stay. As I walked in after checking in, room had plastic utensils on desk and a water bottle in trash can. I didn't complain since the room wasn't completely dirty. Stayed first night, left early the next morning for the day. When I returned, close to midnight, I could not get into my room. The security lock was on. After about an hour of trying to figure out where my belongings were and why someone else was in the room I had paid for, the front desk employee told me there was a "manual change" and I was moved to a different room. Turns out all of our belongings were removed from the room, thrown in our bags, and taken to the storage room. I didn't get another room until almost 2am, which was also the time I got my belongings. Very upsetting, especially since there was no reason our things should have been moved to begin with, nor was I ever notified by phone or email, in which they had both. Office staff was rude, and was giggling on the phone as he was trying to figure out the situation with my room. I was upset and demanded to speak to manager, but employee said I wouldn't be able to speak to them til the following morning. At checkout the following morning, the same overnight employee game me back half of one night stay in cash, but I did tell them I would be leaving a review and calling the office to make sure they knew of the situation.

People that run this place are top-notch! Super friendly, caring and efficient in how they run their business. The room was in great shape, AC was cold, breakfast was decent but the price was really good! Like most of the hotels in gainesville, this place could use a little TLC on the exterior but I would definitely recommend it

The hotel is a little weathered but overall it was good. Cleanliness was 7/10, the room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful.

I wasnt given a chance to see the property. Despite the fact that I had made a reservation and after driving for 6 hours I was told that the place was full. The person said that he tried calling us but there was never a phone call. It was after 11pm when we got there. So inconvenient, very unhelpful staff, just blurted out that there was no room, invonceivable, bad business is what it is.

The room was clean, basic breakfast, waffle cereal, juice . short drive to Winstar casino. Clientele hanging out in parking lot made us uncomfortable, may not always be that way.

Easy access to the Interstate.

We returned to the hotel late, and there were a couple of unfriendly hooded men in the parking lot next-door to the hotel. There did not appear to be cameras on that side of the hotel where I had to park we just hurried and got inside really quick.

It was clean. Lots of noise since it's right next to interstate and also major road construction going on.

Nice for price, 15 min to winstar. No elevator to second floor you have to carry luggage up stairs

Pictures of property not same as advertised. Facilities old and run down. Property must be by poultry farm. The air outside had a stench of manure

The rooms were nice and clean. Room was well stocked with towels. We did not like "free breakfast". It was only cereal and waffles to eat. Overall hotel was worth the money.

Road construction crews staying here. Too many construction workers in breakfast area, not any food or coffee left. Got food elsewhere.
