This was an old decrepit motel in much need of attention. Didn’t even have the king nonsmoking room I had reserved. The woman and her son at the front desk were very nice. The town of Williams was adorable on Rt 66. The bathroom had clumps of old hair in the corners and the room was very smelly of old cooking oil. The office staff gave me a can of room spray. There isn’t an ice machine either. You have to walk over to the adjoining motel for that! I was told the owner is going to renovate. Maybe then it will be worthy to stay at. I Wish I could say something nice about this motel but I can’t.

Very basic accommodation. Definitely in need of some repairs and updates to the rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff! If you are relying on wifi, this is not the place for you. Wifi was extremely unreliable. It was more off than on. Definitely much cheaper than any other place we could find in Williams so I might stay again to keep costs down. Within walking distance of Safeway and many other places.

Ice machine was not working. Wi-fi was not working. Property itself is very old and needs upkeep. When you check in there was a whole list of what you couldn't do and a $150 charge if your violated any of the restrictions - not very customer friendly. And I was charged $20 more than quoted via Expedia because of extra charges. On the flip side, the front desk manager was very cooperative and did the best she could with what she had.

First off, the rooms are clean and the staff at checkin was very nice. So why the one star review? Well, two main reasons: 1. They charge a water fee on top of the nightly rate. Just factor that into your nightly rate, when I get a price, I expect all mandatory taxes and fees to be included, no matter where I get the quote from. 2. They have no ice machine. Utilities and ice machines are basics that you expect to be included in any hotel stay, I mean it is one thing if the machine just broke and you are waiting on a technician to come out, but if that happens, you go to Safeway and buy ice for your guests until it is fixed. And utilities are just a cost of doing business, you factor them into your pricing.

Yes it is now part of the Motel 6 so the front desk staff will be at the original motel 6 building to check in. If your room is in this building they will have to walk over to the other front desk office to provide you with the keys and ask you to meet them there. They definitely need a better system for this as I could see why it could be an inconvenience for some. Staff doesn’t provide white glove customer service but they made my check in easy, didn’t give attitude so I don’t mind it. Parking is great, had no issues. Microwave and fridge worked. Heater worked (it is an older version but not hard at all to turn on..). However, the shower head was dirty and I did not feel comfortable using it so that was a bummer. The WiFi will not work! LOVE that they accept pets and don’t charge an additional fee! Main reason why I chose this place, my fur baby and I enjoyed our stay despite the two little inconveniences :)

Bed & shower were good--some of the best sleep I've had in a while. Wifi worked when it wanted to--sometimes I could stream a movie and sometimes I couldn't load a simple web page. Front desk was very helpful. Great location. However there is an $8 nightly extra charge for water that is not advertised nor included in the "taxes and fees included."

Honestly I would pass on this hotel. It’s definitely a one star. We were also freezing and couldn’t figure out the heater as it was super old school. No one was at the front desk and we had to call for someone to show up. The cell reception is non existent and the wifi sucked. It’s really run down. The staff were also not friendly. There was also a weird homeless man walking around the parking lot, thankfully we only stayed one night

Really dirty. I was preparred for no frills, but this place was bad. Considered leaving but stayed only for convenience. Questionable if sheets were washed. Shower was leaking and was evident it has been for months at least. Microwave didnt work and seemed to be from 30 years ago. Motel 6 acquired this place, sold it as if it was their advertised listing then slid in with an unbranded and very poor experience. Such deception with positive reviews, not sure ill ever trust motel 6 to stay again. I wish I had taken a photo to share as this sounds really bad and it really was.

Smoke detector went off 3 different times through the night. No smoke. When we mentioned it they said if the people upstairs bounce or step hard it seems to do that. 🙄 well the people upstairs did "walk heavy" all night. Floor was so dirty it made our feet black. Coffee maker didn’t work. No service or people to contact for help if needed during the night.

The room was decent for the price, but the bathroom was NOT clean. There was a lot of hair on the floor and in the tub, and there obviously had been no attempt to clean the toilet. The mattress was extremely comfortable, but there's a metal box around the base of the bed and its almost impossible to not kick it every time you walk up to the bed. It makes a very irritating noise.

We booked the same day. Upon arriving at 10:30 pm, was greeted with "They weren't supposed to book after 10:00 pm. We apologized and she said ti was ok... hmmmm We were given a room quickly. The heat did not work. She quickly came to the room and moved us to a room next door. Both rooms were clean. Dated, but clean. Bed was moderately comfortable, pillows were flat, but there was two beds and we just doubled them up. The train tracks were near and you could hear trains. But they didn't come through often. Had good hot water. I would stay here again for an over night.

We stayed for the holiday parade and for the night, it was an ok stay. Very loud heater. The upstairs neighbors were loud but that's not Westerner's fault. I would stay again if I only need it for the night as it's close to restaurants and Safeway but definitley not longer as the towels were dirty and it was not the cleanest. I had to call the phone number on the sticky note on the door for someone to come to the office to check me in. And I was instructed to drop off the key in the bin outside the office that is easily accessible for anyone to take.

Older motel but clean and well taken care of. Front desk is not manned and you have to call a phone number and a clerk from another area hotel has to come over to let you in. This stay was off season. I enjoyed the peace and quiet.

I got caught in Traffic in Phoenix and was going to be late. As per the rules I had to call before 9 PM. I made 4 calls at around 8 to 8:15 PM and there was no answer. Went to voice mail. Got to the motel at 9:45 and there was no one there. Called the emergency/after-hours number 15 times. No answer. Left a message. No call back. Rang the after hours bell. No response. After 30 mins I had to find another hotel. All sold out. Found one down the road that cost me much much more than what I paid for this one. I did as instructed to call before 9 PM but they would not answer. What was I supposed to do? I need not only my money back but I would like to be compensated for the difference. At least the difference that I had to pay for a last minute hotel. Not fair.

We weren’t aware that there were two separate addresses for this reservation. When we arrived, we found a notice on the lobby door directing us to another property to pick up our keys. It would have been helpful to receive this information in advance so we could have planned accordingly and avoided any confusion. That said, the receptionist was incredibly kind, welcoming, and greeted us warmly. Everything went smoothly after that, and we would definitely recommend this place to others.

The Motel 6 recently purchased this building. You check in at one location and then need to drive next door. The staff person had to walk over to the other building to get the room key and give it to me. They are not honoring the Motel 6 check out time of 11:00. I was advised that I need to check out by 10:00 am and put the key (actual key) in the drop box. Also, I selected a king size bed but it is a queen. I guess for the price, it is okay.

The manager/ front desk attendant was the sweetest, most helpful I have ever come across in my many years of traveling. My only regret is I cannot remember her unusual name to brag even more about how concerned she was that my stay was ad wonderful as possible.

I like older motels on Route 66. This one was pleasant and comfortable. The room was a good size and in pretty good shape. It pretty clean, perfect for a few days. Down fall,the toilet was to small. Seamed like it was made for a child.The Staff was very friendly, I enjoyed talking with them! I will definitely stay there again. Thank you for a pleasant stay!
I like older motels on Route 66. This one was pleasant and comfortable. The room was a good size and in pretty good shape. It pretty clean, perfect for a few days. Down fall,the toilet was to small. Seamed like it was made for a child.The Staff was very friendly, I enjoyed talking with them! I will definitely stay there again. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

Very rude young guy at desk. Old, worn towels with holes. Strange smell in room. No WIFI in room! When we tried to get another room they refused, told us that they were fully booked, but they were not, see photo! If you read other reviews this is already going on for months... Avoid if you can!

I called the front desk twice to tell them I was delayed and would be arriving late. All I got was an answering machine. I got there about 1am and the front desk/ office was closed, lights off, and ringing the bell did nothing. I never got into the room yet still had to pay for it. (The listing in expedia stated 24 Hour service.) I explained to Expedia what happened and they would not refund me any amount.

The location is fun on Route 66- Fun, unique stores, restaurants. We were an hour away from Grand Canyon- not a terrible drive. We were worried about the mattress- because it’s an extra firm memory foam… but we loved it!

Very nice room and offers best value for the money. Full shower instead of bathtub which had been redone nicely. Room in good order. I like old style motels where you can park right outside of room. (Rm 102) Attendant recommended “Cruise 66” restaurant which was only 2-3 blocks away and was spot on if you’re looking for bbq or burgers. Wife and I laughed that we’ve stayed at more expensive places this trip but the Westerner had the best tp…..

We really enjoyed our stay! I love how the rooms are all accessible through a central garden area. The room itself has a small kitchen area including a stove. However, there is nothing in the room that would allow you to cook (no pots, silverware, plates or anything). There was a nice pool area with a cool pool as well as a hot tub. They don’t seem to come to empty garbages or give you fresh towels throughout your stay unless you request it. Also enjoyed the complimentary coffee bar area they have! Toasters are also available in the coffee bar so we were able to make toast for our breakfast as there is no breakfast available onsite. Staff were friendly and helpful! Definitely a nice place that we would stay again!

The tv was broken and didn’t work, there was no toilet paper in the room, had to go get it from the office. Reserved and paid for a king bed, got a queen. Mattress and pillows were terrible.

We were supposed to have deluxe room with king bed but got a small room with the AC was 9in. From the side of the bed , no tv ,wyfi wouldn’t connect and tried to call front desk NO answer. When we registered they told us our room was up the street in another building. We ask if they had coffee they said we would have to come back to the building we registered in. What an inconvenience and the pictures on the room we clicked on is no where near what the gave us (room 110). I took pictures of our room ask and I’ll send them.
