Park Inn by Radisson, Madison East

It was a good location other than right next to the express way. Rooms were perfect size for a busy schedule. Beds comfortable and a fair enough breakfast. The concept is great but the rooms need to be refreshed, the carpet taken out and easy to clean flooring would make the place perfect! There is a workout room and laundry facilities for guests. I don’t think the rooms need a small microwave or a safe. Very friendly staff, rooms cleaned daily!

A/C in our room (105) didn't work, when brought to the attention of the guy at the front desk he followed to our room and proceeded to mess with the setting then putting them back where I had them set, then blamed me saying I had the heat on. His solution was to give us fans. In order to plug 1 fan in, the microwave had to be unplugged and then one was plugged in my the window. After that there was 1 plug left to use for my medical device (cpap). He was extremely rude and condescending. He was on his phone in the lobby on speaker phone and ignored us for at least 10 minutes. The tv was the smallest tv I've ever seen and only got like 6 channels all of which were news. The fitness center was like 3 pieces of equipment, 1 needed at card from the front desk to operate and 1 was broken. Spa was listed on the website but it was never found. The toilet was not sealed to the floor and the tub was dirty. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was a nice hotel for the price. The continental breakfast was good and I really appreciated the free parking!

Hotel was clean. Frig froze our pop though, and it would of been nice to have bigger towels at the hot tub in room. Bed was comfortable. Room stayed plenty cool. Quite area. great it was next to a Cracker Barrel to eat at.

Upon entering our room it smelled like a cigar bar. The bathroom sink would not drain. The hotel in general was not kept clean or kept up. I would not recommend or stay at this property again.

Ick. The property was disgusting. Yellow dirty sheets. Dirty sticky carpet. Dirty bathroom. Basically gross.

Room was terribly dirty. Newly remodeled rest room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. Dirty wash cloth on the bedroom floor. Even worse to discover in the morning the mattress is stained with what appears to be blood. Disgusting.. I’ll never go back.

The room (109) was very stinky (moldy/musty) and probably had smokers in it before. The carpet was old and torn, walls chipped, microwaves from the 1980's. Hallway carpet didn't seem to have been vacuumed in a long time. Two staff members ended up shouting at each other about whether or not there was another room available for a change - ultimately there was not another room available. I do not recommend this hotel.

The motel is just old and needs everything updated. Room was small. Towels were old, small and dirty. Asked for more and was told they don't have any extras until laundry is done the next day. There's duct tape all over the place holding things together. There was duct tape on the door transom holding the carpeting in place.

The room was was dirty and smelled. As a first floor room, the fact that the lock on the window did not work is unacceptable and unsettling. The beds are old and the bed linens are yellow displaying a lack of cleanliness. Lastly, one pillow had dried semen on it, belying a complete lack of attention to someone’s job. I would have asked for my money back except I was too exhausted from being on the road. Never again.

The mattresses, sheets and pillowcases on both beds were stained all over. The room had a musty smell too. DO NOT STAY HERE! Better off sleeping in your car.

Very musty/damp and outdated. The fridge in my room was duct taped inside, my clothes I set out for the following day were damp in the morning, holes and stains on the bedding.

All of the staff were very helpful and professional. Our room was dirty with dead bugs on the window sill. The frame around the mirrors were falling apart. The room was outdated and not very clean. The elevator had duct tape holding panels together and the hallways were stained. For the amount we paid, it was a rip off. The breakfast room had a circuit breaker blown. As I said, the employees were great. The hotel’s physical appearance and cleanliness were about a 2 out of 5 stars.

Front desk staff were very friendly. One of our beds had lipstick stains on the sheets. I'm not sure the bedding had even been changed before we arrived - seemed the beds may have been made. We found a bug crawling in the other bed (not a bed bug or roach, thankfully). When we asked for our sheets to be changed, they were only going to change the bottom sheets! Our phone was completely broken. Room felt dirty. Front desk was the best thing about the place (and that it's next to a Cracker Barrel - we opted out of eating at the hotel.

Very noisy, difficult to sleep.

We were there for University of Wisconsin graduation and closer motels were way overpriced. The price was right here. Not very clean, the back door was malfunctioning, the tv didn’t work or only has one channel, the light over the desk didn’t work and the highway noise was pretty loud. If you’re not going to be spending much time in your room which was true for us, then it works.

The bed was not a queen, the remote to the TV had to be brought to our room and there was only 1 channel to watch. The room was nice, overall, but a bit out dated.

The hotel looked great on the outside and lobby but the room was very small and not updated. Desk had cigarette burns on it, closet door was broke, light burnt out, remote taped up, tv had only 6 weird channels and stain on carpet. The bathroom was updated and nice. It was clean, just beat up. Heater in first room rattled so asked for a different room and was moved. Get what you pay for, but still!

Heater didn’t work. Mold above the shower head on the wall. Cable tv was fuzzy. If you’re looking for a budget hotel and you just need a place to sleep, the beds were comfortable, but this is not a hotel I would bring my family.

No tv. Only one channel and that channel didn’t even come in. The heater in the unit did not work, I froze all night. Breakfast was ok. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Clean room but super small. Our front desk girl was awesome but when we left to check out the other front desk woman got into a fight with someone checking out and was swearing at them. Very uncomfortable. Was okay for a night but probably won’t stay again.

One dreasor drawer was missing. Closet would not shut. Room felt damp.

While the outside looked nice. Nothing has been done on the inside. Closet door had to be lifted in order to close. The air was so noisy I had to shut it off in order to sleep. The bathroom light also controlled the vent. Which was noisy too. I will be more careful with this Whyndam hotel

The room reeked of weed. The heat was off on a winter night, and it took hours to warm up one it was turned back on. The cabinetry was crooked and broken.

Staff was very hospitable and accommodating!!

There were people smoking outside all night and we could hear them talking. The towels looked dirty but smelled clean. The clock had not been changed from daylight savings time which was a month ago. The plug ins didn’t work so I couldn’t charge my phone. The people at the front desk charged me twice and told me that I would get my money back but I haven’t.

I admit I bought the non-cancelable trip but I broke my ankle about a month ago and they wouldn’t even hear me out and pushing back my reservation - we’ll be back to Madison, we’ve got people up there. Oh well. They could have at least tried.

Customer service was exceptional

No words will describe the crappiness of this stay. In fact , we didn’t stay. Staff and management or rude and I can’t believe it’s allowed.

Good day, I purchased my room on hotels.com on July for a 2 night stay September 19 thru September 21. At that time I paid them $245. I checked in online on the afternoon of September, in which part of the process was to enter a credit card number. I was instantly charged $1, in which I have no problem with. During the morning of September 19, I was charged $170.00. I was confused about this charge, so I called. Kendra was the lady whom answered the phone. I was put on hold, but could hear a conversation in the background. I did hear a curse word once. When she eventually got back to me, she looked it up, she told me it was payment for the room. I told her I already paid $245, and why am I now paying a total of over $400. She continued to tell me about how Microtel needed to get paid, not once being concerned about the guest. I asked to speak to the manager and she refused to get them. I did get a phone call from Kendra stating that a mistake was made, but no apologies for it. I checked in at the hotel around 845pm Friday night with no issues. The agent working the front desk was very polite, aware of the situation and advised me the charge has been reversed(as of Monday night, the $170 charge was still pending). Sunday morning I went to the front desk to get a receipt before checkout so I have documentation regarding the $170. Kendra again was being difficult to deal with. She accused me of being rude, but in my opinion she does not care about the guests. She told me

The charged me 25 for a earlycheck in when they had rooms ready to check people in. They also tried to charge me double when i got there. I checked in online and they charged my account then when igot there they tried to charge me again

Firstly I had to go to reception MULTIPLE times because my room key was not working I got a total of 7 room keys because they were constantly not working okay cool ! BUT THEN the day of check out (I only stayed one day ) THEY CALLED MY ROOM AT 8:58am stating that we had to be out by 11 LIKE WE DIDNT KNOW THAT ! Not only did they call my room they set there clocks 15 minutes ahead of the actual time so you can leave earlier than check out they came 20 minutes before 11 and stated that it was check out time and we needed to leave immediately it was 10:40 and I just got out the shower because I was preparing to leave I will never be staying here again .

The entire staff is kind, courteous and helpful. Our A/C wasn't working correctly and they moved us into another room asap.

We liked this site because it had a sidewalk in front of it and was walkable. We try to exercise via walking each day and enjoyed walks both evening and morning. We also enjoyed thrift shops in the area.

There were sketchy people hanging around outside and I wasn't sure my car would still be there in the morning. There was one man working at the desk and it took some time to find him when I checked in. The room was small and stuffy and I don't think the air conditioner was working. I ended up leaving and not staying the night.

Location was good. It was close to restaurants and shopping.

Breakfast person kept the dining area open and stocked past the 9:30 closing time because she saw that there were so many people there enjoying breakfast. 9:30 close on a weekend seemed a bit early anyway so that was nice. That being said… the hotel itself needs a major face lift! Everything is old, dated, faded, dirty, broken and or not working properly. Keep the staff and upgrade the decor and this could be a great hotel. Close to the mall and places to eat, easy to get to and plenty of parking.

This hotel was just average. The room was not as clean as I usually see on my travels, especially the shower. Smelled horribly of smoke and appeared to be an unsafe crowed hanging around. I would not go out alone or at night here.

I was just spending the night in my way to somewhere else. Bed was comfortable, better than most. Room and bathroom very clean. Unfortunately my room was on the side of a busy road so was noisy. But I wear hearing aids so when I took them out to sleep it was fine for me. I would stay here again.

Water stain on the ceiling (room 207), room smelled musty, guests were smoking weed in their room, breakfast was as low quality processed food.

Rooms were smaller compared to other hotels. Breakfast was horrible.

Air conditioner did not work, like trying to sleep in a sauna. We did move to another room, but it was really late and effected sleep for a key early morning event the next day. Poor start to day was compounded by poor selection at buffet. No hot food. Only bagels, toast pastry and cereal. With these limited options they didn't even have spoons for the cereal. They expected you to use a fork?!? Blaming it on a lack of delivery - use some initiative and go to the store and buy some spoons to tide you over until the delivery comes. No compensation for this inconvenience. I will never ever never stay at this Microtel again.

For the most part, quite. Loud music was dealt with quickly. Breakfast is problematic, no coffee, no Orange juice, no knives (to spread cream cheese/peanut butter), most problems taken care of timely. No refrigerator or microwave in room. WHAT!? Housekeeping staff is...exuberant? Diffinite language barrier.

The breakfast was less than par. No milk, coffee machine didn’t work, no bagels, orange juice machine was out. Our sheets had sex wax stained on them. Shower water was no where near hot enough. Define wed to step up on your part.
