Room was wonderful - beautiful view overlooking Monona Terrace and Lake Monona. Clean and modern. Could've used a fan in the bathroom though, and ice machine was already out of ice at 4 pm......had to go to a different floor to get some. Check in was good, but the parking process could've been explained better. Nice pool and hot tub when not busy, but when there's conventions at Monona Terrace, pool can be quite crowded (small), hot and noisy. Have to go in at dinnertime or really late. My daughters and I really enjoyed our one-night Spring Break!

Very nice hotel. Our only critique is to charge $25 for parking per night to pack vehicles in like sardines is not great. No room for error backing up or taking corners when two vehicles are trying to take a corner.

Excellent hotel. However restaurant breakfast potatoes were too spicy, eggs were overdone. Difficulty exiting parking ramp...had to contact front desk every time exiting. Wifi difficult to connect to. Ice machine on our floor was out of order. Staff were extremely warm and helpful. Overall, though a bit pricey, was a very nice place to stay.

The breakfast is incredible. Staff were so helpful with any questions we had. The whole hotel was clean yes Our room and the pool was nice and clean. Second time staying there for the wiaa state tournament. We were able to walk ~8 blocks to the Kohl which was so nice to get our kids some fresh air. Will stay again!

Our room ran out of toilet paper and tissues on two separate occasions. There were trash canisters in the room, but no trash bags. That is a dirty and get my situation. Our room did not get vacuumed even one time the week we were there. And our beds we’re only made one time.

The property was nice and good to stay at the reason we gave it a good rating was because the garbage was not emptied in our bathroom from the previous people and our refrigerator did not work. They do have a nice bar though and a shuttle that will drop you off to things nearby.

Staying for Labor Day Weekend it just so happened to be Taste of Madison. This is an ideal location for that event. It was a 3 minute walk to the Capitol building. Along the arterial streets around there is a ton to do. Obviously with that said the location is ideal. Service was all excellent at the front desk and lobby bar. Weather was great so we had a coupe drinks in the courtyard area off the entrance. Food was really good at the restaurant. There is a walkway over toward the terrace where there is a cafe (unrelated to Hilton) and a great view of the lake. The room itself is showing a little wear. Bed and sofa were comfortable. The blower/cooler/thermostat were not really in sync. Each day the temp would change without us doing anything so it got warm at night/late morning. The fan also did not stay on and would turn on and off all night. That was super annoying. There was no working phone in the room….no wires at all. They said they could have someone fix it then but we just wanted to relax. Pool is really small and only 3ft deep all around. $25 overnight parking with in and out rights. All in all it is a solid place to stay.

Overall our stay was great. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. There were 2 down sides. One was our room had a non-stop hum, like a dishwasher running. I really only noticed it at night when trying to fall asleep. We had an end room near the elevators, I just chalked it up to that. The other down side was the parking garage. The spaces were quite cozy and once you reach the end, there's no place to turn around.

The property’s location is amazing in downtown Madison. The property needs some updates in bedding, furniture, and the hot water took 10 min to warm up. Other than a really good location, this hotel deserves no more than a 3 1/2 star rating. Housekeeping does not make up a room for several days unless you contact the front desk to request towels and room cleaning. They have a self service coffee bar in the lobby but charge $4.00 a cup and also charge for wifi. The hotel is older and the rooms are small and could use a makeover.The airconditioners are very loud. On the plus side the employees were very nice and tried their best.

I booked executive lounge for. Saturday night stay. I was told at check-in that there was a reception starting at 5 p.m. in the lounge. I went to the lounge to find nothing. Then for breakfast, I went to the lounge only to find it had been rented out for a private party. Not cool to charge for an exec lounge and then not be able to use it. You need to update the website and list the true hours of your lounge if it’s only open during the business week. Super disappointed as I’ve had great experiences in other cities with the exec lounge on weekends. When I spoke to the desk the gal just said oh sorry.

There’s a major lack of communication about the use of amenities on the website and with the front desk we called to make sure we would have access to the pool prior to booking was told it would not be an issue after calling the day of or reservation to to confirm was told we could or use the area until 1pm, we specifically booked here for the use of the pool area while waiting for our room. Apparently the entire hotel uses the pool area from 9am until 1pm and then the are all removed from the pool area even though no one is enforcing those rules in the pool area as it’s “Managed” by a team of people that just stroll around. We canceled our reso after a very unproductive chat with the first desk.

We had a horrible check in. There was confusion because I had booked two rooms. They had record of the first room but not the second although I had my receipt from Hotels.com. The young man who was helping us called his manager who was incredibly rude. I understand that mistakes happen and that things can get confused but that was not our fault and there is never a reason to be rude.

Beautiful hotel, amazing amenities, location a bit hard ti get to with construction and one way streets. Parking is great under ground and elevator goes directly to the floor your on. However our room was next to another room that had a sound go on and off all night thst sounded like a car with a bad muffler in the distance.. very hard to sleep even with ear plugs in

Nice and close to the Capitol bldg. Restaurants and coffee shops walkable. Lakeview was a good surprise. We got to watch water skiers practice their jumps. Spent time to explore the Monona Terrace and it's Wright legacy.

Great hotel to stay in when you want to visit downtown Madison. We could walk to the capitol and many restaurants. Hotel was right next to the water and had the weather been warmer, would have been nice to walk along the waterfront. Staff very helpful and kind. Nice bar and had a restaurant, but did not eat at it, but it appeared clean.

My room was on the 12th floor and I had a wonderful evening view of the state capital. I wish I had checked in earlier to walk around and been able to explore the area. I had a very nice meal at their restaurant and took dessert up to my room for later. I felt the chicken with door county cherries was very reasonably price at $20. I had to catch a very early flight out the next day.

My husband and I stayed to attend a concert. Check in was seamless. We had a very nice and clean room. We used the spa the next morning, which was great! We also had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, also excelled and not overly expensive. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Hilton!
