Room was clean, tidy and looked recently renovated. Staff was polite, friendly and very helpful. Shuttle to the airport is a great amenity and super quick and easy to use. Absolutely lovely stay. Housekeeping and front desk were all very friendly and quick. Breakfast was very tasty and a bit different each day. Plenty of varied seating options. Awesome location by the river, nice clean pool and hot tub. Also available basketball court, and some other outside games available. Big fields next door and nice walking paths. Beds were comfy and showers nice and warm. Loved our stay.

It was clean, quiet, calm, and accessible to lots of things. I loved the balcony off my room. That was a nice touch. Coffee was great and served all day. Breakfast changed every morning and was actually good. Hot tub was not hot though. Like a kid’s bath water. Only downside. Would have been nice to have it hot but if that’s the only complaint then I’ll take it. Decent price too. Not super walkable to the beaches but that’s fine.

Love to stay at Homewood Suites at Liberty Station. Better than home. My only disappointment was the pool water was not as clean as the past visits. I know it was right after 4th of July and a lot of guests were there, so I understand but all else was great!

This property sat right on the water. It was in close proximity of several restaurants. My family really liked the separate bedrooms and the full kitchen. The breakfast was also a plus. The outside grounds was really nice with a bbq grill, fireplaces, sitting areas, and basketball court. My only bad thoughts is that the property could use a renovation and I saw several ants inside the building. However, I would definitely stay here again!

Dirty, there was under garment from previous guest in the room, our room had a kitchen there was lipstick on cups, under construction very noisy cannot stay in the room after 9am due to construction on the upper floor

There was a bloodstain on the sheet, and someone ate my pancake from the refrigerator. They charged me a cleaning fee for pet urine on the carpet, but I don’t have any pets with me, and it’s impossible for there to be any urine on the carpet!

I would have given a 5, as everything else was good, except for one issue. There has been a certain smell coming from our bathroom. At the beginning of our stay, the same smell was noticeable around the hall area, so it didn’t bother us much. However, during our last stay, it has become concentrated in the bathroom and is unbearable. If the bathroom door is left open even for a few seconds, the smell spreads throughout our space. We’ve had to keep the bathroom vents running all night to try to eliminate the odor, which is also unhealthy—especially since we have a small child. Note: We were out all day and returned around 9:00 PM. We haven’t cooked anything in the kitchen since we received room service. We weren’t expecting this situation from the hotel, especially since we accepted any room that was offered to us during check-in through the app, simply because it was newly renovated.

Area was quiet and parking was reasonable to find. Appericated staff checking in via txt, and was able to txt back when I had a request. Amazing place to staff!!!!!! Highly recommend!!

The hotel is a little bit older I think, but they have done upgrades and the suites are in excellent condition. Everything is very clean and organized. The best part of this hotel though is the staff. Truly customer service orientated, friendly and they go out of their way to help make your stay comfortable. Kudos to the staff and management. The Liberty station location is an interesting one. On foot, not fully accessible, but there are some things nearby and buses within 10-15 min walk to get into downtown, old town or mission bay. The free shuttle to and from the airport came in handy and despite being so close to the airport, it wasn't too loud. It was much louder over by liberty market. San Diego was an absolute gem and this hotel was a convenient location with a nice kitchenette that made it easy to make meals in our suite. There's a Trader Joes within walking distance as well. We had a fabulous stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again in the future.

Be careful which way your room faces and whether the blackout drapes actually COVER the window or you will be illuminated all night by very bright property lights. Also, if you're near the basketball court...bounce bounce bounce.

Gorgeous room! This was my first stay at a Homewood suites, and we were fortunate to stay in one of their newly remodeled suites where you were able to close off the bedroom with a door. The room was spacious, beautiful view of the bay, comfortable bed, and the cutest night light that I had to grab for myself on Amazon! Interactions with the staff were great, everybody was very accommodating and friendly. Continental breakfast was yummy with breakfast tacos. The breakfast area was kept clean and fully stocked. The only hiccup we ran into was when we grabbed a frozen food item from the little shop downstairs and then went to microwave it, it seemed as though it wasn't frozen thoroughly. I was however, able to just take it right back downstairs and grab something else. Without knowing much about the San Diego area, it seemed like the location was pretty good, and we were able to get to the Midway museum pretty easily. I also enjoyed seeing the planes fly over from the airport! Oh and easy parking!

We LOVED our stay at Homewood Suites San Diego Airport-Liberty Station. Our family of 3 adults, 2 kids stayed in the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom mobility/hearing access suite (room 112). The king bedroom has a roll-in shower and the queen bedroom, a bathtub/shower combo. There is a roomy fold out couch in the separate living room for the kids. It was so nice for grandma to have her own space. The kitchen has a full size fridge. It felt like having an apartment with all of the great hotel amenities. The free hotel breakfast is far superior and plentiful compared to other hotels I've stayed in. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. We were within a 15-20 minute drive of every activity we did (USS Midway, Zoo, Balboa Park). There is also a beautiful paved path where you can stroll along the waterfront all the way to Liberty Station where there are some great restaurants and cafes (15-20 minute easy walk). The area was clean and felt very safe. The hotel has a free airport shuttle from/to SAN. Just call when you arrive and have picked up your bags. When departing, let the front desk know ahead of time when you need to leave. The hotel is located really close to the SAN Airport and a military base so you will hear planes flying over a lot, but we never had a problem with hearing them in our suite. Service was good and staff was friendly. The rooms are just very outdated and beat on. Furniture not in good shape. The Laminate is peeling off and the bottoms are beat up from sweepers banging into them. One outlet built into the lamp was hanging out. I was too scare to use it. Many of the outlets were wobbly and would not hold a charge. The toilets were very low to the ground, the curtain was just a sheer and we were on the first floor. Anyone could look right into our room. The queen sleeper sofa mattress was so bad, that my daughter chose to sleep on the couch extension instead, after we covered it with a sheet, due to stains. You could literally feel every spring in the mattress and it was about 2” thick. The king bed was obviously an old spring mattress as well, so pretty bad. Mattress was very thin. We felt safe in this neighborhood and we were close to everything we had planned to do. No trouble with parking except for being charged for it. This hotel just needs a lot of updating. I just expected it to be much nicer considering what we had to pay for 2 nights and the location. If we come back to this area, I would try to find a hotel that is in better shape. Again, the location and staff were nice, but the rooms desperately need to be updated. For the location and what we paid, the quality should have been ten times better.

Great hotel and even better staff! We had an amazing time here. They were friendly, courteous, and helpful way beyond what I expected. The suites were nice, clean, and well maintained. The only hiccup was the pillows. They’re way too understuffed and left me in pain every morning. Bring your own pillows. I would definitely recommend them though. In a heartbeat

We had the 2 bed 2 bath suite and it was AMAZING. The hotel is in a great location. Everything was near by and we did have our own car. But Liberty Station is a business park and everything is nearby including walking distance. We had some issues with housekeeping. One time the housekeeper literally busted into our suite without knocking and was behaving bizarre and just persistent like OVERLY persistent that she lost her broom and didn’t clean our floors, I had to push her out the door physically because she was acting weird and literally scared my kids. The free breakfast was great and the staff was accommodating. The front desk Kelly was great, but another front desk gal showed no compassion when we checked in and were so exhausted from our flight, so it’s a hit or miss on the front desk. But the hotel itself is best hotel in the San Diego area. Hands down

Kelly at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable. Free shuttle to the airport. The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. The breakfast was probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had at this level of hotel. Delicious, varied, and plentiful. We really liked it here. There was nothing to be unhappy about!

I absolutely loved this property. I love the staff.. the breakfast was okay LOL. Lots of options but more so the staff I mean I had accidentally broke the shower head and the guy came and fixed it within 5 minutes. And then I asked for a fan for my room and by the time I sent the text message the lady was at my door with a fan... I just enjoyed good service

Some what disappointed with breakfast . Maybe I got used to Hilton Hotels standard. It looks like everything at the first hour or so, foods were left over from the day before , ie fruits, hash brown….which came out soft, mushy. Breakfast don’t have enough varieties. Guests come from all over the world but breakfast lacks of assorted cheeses for bread. The kitchen does not even know how to cook tater tots or hash browns . The only thing the kitchen is good at was “Mexican foods” like we all come from the border of Mexico.

The hotel shuttles to and from the airport. Great staff. Beds and even the sofa bed were comfortable. The breakfast was pk. Nothing special. The coffee tasted good. They did have a water machine that would do cold, ambient, or hot water. Tea bags and hot chocolate were provided. The hotel has several restaurants within walking distance. Primos was our favorite. There is no beach but you do have access to the water. Thry did have a local company out on Saturday that was renting SUP's and kayaks by the hour.
