Review of Patio Hostel, Bratislava I had a great stay at Patio Hostel in Bratislava in a 6-bed male dormitory with three bunk beds. The experience was overall excellent. Each guest gets a locker in the room with a provided key, which is very convenient. The beds were comfortable, and the hostel provides clean sheets and a towel. There's also a small shelf and a power outlet next to each bed, which is a nice touch. A major plus was having an en-suite bathroom, making things much more convenient. However, it could have been cleaner—there was a soaking wet towel on the floor for days, which wasn’t ideal. Still, having a private bathroom in the dorm was a big advantage. The staff was very welcoming and even offered free earplugs, which I had never seen before in a hostel—definitely a great perk! The hostel also has a free laundry service (you can use the washing machine for free), a spacious kitchen, a luggage room for after check-out, a terrace, and an attached bar (which I didn't get a chance to visit). The only downside is that check-out is at 10 AM, which is a bit early. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Patio Hostel and would definitely recommend it to other travelers!

The hostel is a perfectly serviceable place for a cheap stay that's very well located. They do have a bar, free laundry, a garden area, and a nice kitchen. The rooms tend to be crowded and have little ventilation. During summer, it gets very hot and is difficult to sleep at times. Still, a good bargain for your money.

Rooms were great and had lockers. There’s also a kitchen, laundry machine, and a common room which is open 24/7 and where you can work on your computer or chat with friends.

For me this is an almost perfect trip in my entire Europe trip. Too bad, I am only staying for one night and never had a full Bratislava experience. I enjoyed the free laundry service as well as an access to kitchen with entertainment and the luggage is free. I am definitely considering my official stay whenever I am in Bratislava.

Trevligt hostel som även har rum med privat badrum. Vi borde i rum med eget badrum, ljud i korridoren hördes genom dörren men annars bra. Parkering på området för rimlig avgift. Tillgång till kök, samlingsrum, tvättstuga mm.

Il centro si raggiunge comodamente a piedi, in alternativa la fermata del tram è proprio davanti. Nei dintorni interessanti attività per colazione e pasti. La camera e i bagni erano puliti. Nelle aree comuni ci sono punti per preparsi the o caffè gratuitamente. Graziosa l'area esterna con tavoli, immersi nel verde dell'edera.

Extremely nasty and dirty, everywhere. I asked for someone to clean the bathroom that had crusty old waste stuck in and on the toilet. This is a task that is expected to be cleaned prior to renting a space. Thank goodness for cleaning sheets

The hostel itself is okay, it has good amenities, such as a laundry, kitchen, bar and patio area which is very pleasant. I was in a four bed dorm on the 5th floor and the fellow guests were quiet and respectful. There was some noise from larger groups on the floor, but not after 10pm. There was only one toilet and shower to share between three 4 bed dorms which I think really isn’t enough. To use another toilet you need to go down to another floor. The building is old, dingy and dated, but not dirty. The staff were mostly friendly, I was able to leave my luggage before check in and after check out for free. No free towel, had to pay extra and you had to put your own bed sheets on your bed too, which I’ve not done before at another hostel. The area around the hotel is not the nicest, there’s a lot of poverty in the area and you can definitely see this. Was approached in the evening by a guy in the alley approaching the hostel asking for money. Was a bit unswerving. Was also told by another guest that the street the hostel is one’s one of the most notorious in the city. However, I felt fairly safe in the day, just keep an eye out.

Pretty basic hostel. I slept in a dorm room. Beds (mattresses) were fine but they should have been attached to the wall. Now they swung every time me or upper bed guy moved even a little bit. Bar was nice at the inner yard and people were friendly.

Vale o que você paga. A localização é ótima, mas a qualidade do quarto é razoável. Você tem de pegar as roupas de cama e preparar sua cama, mas meu lençol era velho e não servia na cama. Não faz sentido um check in as 14:00 e check out as 10:00 se você mesmo tem que preparar sua cama.

The location is fantastic. There are shops and cafés nearby. It is also a short walk away from the historic centre. The beds were comfortable. Just one minor negative point: The doors might need to be fitted a bit better. The doors make a lot of noise when being closed. But other than that, the hostel is a great place to stay. The staff are kind and friendly. There's also a really nice atmosphere in the hostel.

The beds were not very sturdy in the room I was in. Any movement from the person above moved the whole bed top and bottom. Was very surprised when I ordered a beer from the bar, that although you could order food from the bar, you couldn’t eat food at the bar from outside even though you were a guest in the hostel. The common area was full of people that at one point started smoking in the common room even though the hostel provides a dedicated smoking area not 2 feet away from the table they were playing at. I understand it’s Europe but have some modesty about yourself. The room got extremely hot at night so only got a few hours before I just walked around town early in the morning as it definitely felt better. No paper towels or hand dryer in the bathroom on the 5th floor was disappointing. Lockers being right behind the door in our room made leaving in the morning very loud, because the door kept slamming into the lockers, so I apologize to anyone that woke up. Wouldn’t stay again if I’m Bratislava but it’s probably great for 18-26 year old traveling groups.

It is an ok hostel. The main problem was the noise even tho it says no noise after 2200, people were still very noisy and no one was doing anything about this. Also, the bed was very uncomfortable.

Rooms were clean and beds comfy, there's a lot of bathroom traffic at some hours and towels are not included, you must purchase one - at a good price, must say. Hostel is conveniently located, there's a tram stop very close, you can even walk from the main bus station and also to the Old Town.

Review of Patio Hostel, Bratislava I had a great stay at Patio Hostel in Bratislava in a 6-bed male dormitory with three bunk beds. The experience was overall excellent. Each guest gets a locker in the room with a provided key, which is very convenient. The beds were comfortable, and the hostel provides clean sheets and a towel. There's also a small shelf and a power outlet next to each bed, which is a nice touch. A major plus was having an en-suite bathroom, making things much more convenient. However, it could have been cleaner—there was a soaking wet towel on the floor for days, which wasn’t ideal. Still, having a private bathroom in the dorm was a big advantage. The staff was very welcoming and even offered free earplugs, which I had never seen before in a hostel—definitely a great perk! The hostel also has a free laundry service (you can use the washing machine for free), a spacious kitchen, a luggage room for after check-out, a terrace, and an attached bar (which I didn't get a chance to visit). The only downside is that check-out is at 10 AM, which is a bit early. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Patio Hostel and would definitely recommend it to other travelers!

The hostel is a perfectly serviceable place for a cheap stay that's very well located. They do have a bar, free laundry, a garden area, and a nice kitchen. The rooms tend to be crowded and have little ventilation. During summer, it gets very hot and is difficult to sleep at times. Still, a good bargain for your money.

Hotel je přímo v centru vedle Prioru, excellentní umístění. Obsluha milá, dole je bar, takže neruší hosty, dostal jsem free drink zdarma (mají skvělou Pálavu). Pokoje čisté, na patře tři sprchy, čisté, nové, umyté. Nemám si na co stěžovat. V pátek dělali karaoke party, starají se, je tam telka se spoustou DVD, knížkami atd. Fakt milý, levný, čistý hostel v naprostém centru Bratislavy, rozhodně se vrátím a moc se těším :). I kuchyňka skvěle vybavená, pánve, nádobí veškeré, šlo si uvařit, káva, čaj zadarmo. The beds were not very sturdy in the room I was in. Any movement from the person above moved the whole bed top and bottom. Was very surprised when I ordered a beer from the bar, that although you could order food from the bar, you couldn’t eat food at the bar from outside even though you were a guest in the hostel. The common area was full of people that at one point started smoking in the common room even though the hostel provides a dedicated smoking area not 2 feet away from the table they were playing at. I understand it’s Europe but have some modesty about yourself. The room got extremely hot at night so only got a few hours before I just walked around town early in the morning as it definitely felt better. No paper towels or hand dryer in the bathroom on the 5th floor was disappointing. Lockers being right behind the door in our room made leaving in the morning very loud, because the door kept slamming into the lockers, so I apologize to anyone that woke up. Wouldn’t stay again if I’m Bratislava but it’s probably great for 18-26 year old traveling groups.

Great place if you want a cheap bed for the night. Rooms are quite warm during the summer due to no AC and springs can be felt in the mattress so had to sleep on top of the duvet/blanket to make it a bit more comfortable. Mornings shift employee were lovely.

Great location to stay in Bratislava, they have car parking, tram station just opposite to stay, walking distance to blue church and old town. They also had complimentary pan cakes in morning. Very good common kitchen and laundry. Recommended for family. We were 3 stayed in a family room.
