Mission Bay Studio w Ocean Views from Rooftop Deck

Loved our stay! We stayed in one of their cute studio. The host and her assistant were so welcoming. They had everything we needed for a beach day. I definitely recommend this stay for a real feel of a San Diego home!

I stayed for 3 nights for a work conference. The studio was amazing, truly everything I could ask for on a business trip. There was plenty of space, much more than would be offered at a hotel. I was provided with free drinks and snacks which is always appreciated. The hosts were friendly and alway available. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was very helpful. I will definitely stay again if I am back in the area.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The apartment was clean, well stocked, had extra perks like free snacks, beer, water etc. The host was very helpful and accommodating and I loved that all the beach equipment you might need is available for you to take at any time. My only negative review of the place is that the listing is not entirely accurate about where the studio is located within the property. Nor do the pictures accurately depict it’s location either. When staying at this location you are literally staying in their house. Yes, you have a private entrance. Yes, it is underneath the main house, but nonetheless you are living underneath the hosts house. That means you hear everything they are doing during the day. I was working remotely during my stay and was often interrupted by loud noises above me. At night it was peaceful and quiet, but during the day it could get noisy since the hosts are often home. Due to this living situation I didn’t feel like I had a lot of privacy. When I was coming and going the hosts were always around and often stopped me to talk or ask how my trip was going. As sweet and nice as it was I really just wanted to be left alone. At times I felt like I was staying at my mothers house. Like I had to sneak around. Also, there are no blackout curtains in the unit and very bright lights lighting the pathway to your front door. Aggressively bright light shines through the curtains. Simply adding blackout curtains would be a game changer.

This place is close to everything. The property is beautiful, safe, quiet, and has friendly attentive hosts. The room has all of the amenities that you need plus some extra snacks. We loved the rooftop patio, it was perfect for watching fireworks.

This studio apartment was wonderful. Very clean and well equipped. The rooftop patio is the perfect place for relaxing and the outdoor space below has all you need for outdoor entertainment or a trip to the beach. The host was very responsive to any concerns. I would definitely stay here again

I stayed in the studio here and it was absolutely wonderful. The studio has everything you could need and is peaceful. The hosts are so terrific, friendly, and helpful. And the rooftop deck has incredible sprawling views of the Bay all the way to the Pacific with a special treat of SeaWorld fireworks in the evening. I can't recommend this place enough!

The space was perfect for me and my daughter for the week. It was clean, comfortable and the roof top view was lovely. I would 100% stay here again!

This property is perfect for those looking to relax close to Mission Bay! There are tons of beach essentials (boogie boards, towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc.) available and free of use during your stay. The rooftop patio has awesome views of the bay and is a great place to watch the sunset. The room was quiet and comfortable, with free drinks and snacks, which was a bonus! We will absolutely be staying here again next time we are in San Diego!!

We enjoyed our stay here. Love all of the thoughtful amenities, including a washer and dryer, dishwasher, and iron and ironing board. Plus snacks and a noise machine and access to beach towels and chairs. Kathy is lovely.

Was told parking would be available. As we are walking out the door to drive to San Diego, we get a message from the owner. You can only have a small compact car. We have a SUV! We had to park up a hill. If I would have gotten this information before I would have never booked. They need to work on their welcome book the internet. password was wrong. Also had to text them about local channels, in welcome book they had them, but after a text they said they don’t. The bed was uncomfortable and there are a lot of foot steps up above. They advertise a beautiful view from deck, a gas station below ! Really, save your money and go else where

This was a wonderful place to stay. We will definitely stay again!!! Lots of great amenities.... only 10-15 min drive to downtown. Just wish the weather was a little better we could have taken more advantage of the Rooftop patio. The owner and property mgmt were kind and helpful. Room was clean and pleasant.

Cute little unit.. Loved the washer and dryer! The Murphy bed was comfortable. Only issues were: 1. Bathroom light was on a timer and kept turning off during our short showers 2. Dogs in another unit ( and I believe in owners unit) were parking frequently and late at night 3. Footsteps are very loud from upstairs unit

The location was great, halfway between Torrey Pines and downtown San Diego. We loved the internet access, cushy towels, close parking and two recliner chairs. King murphy bed was comfortable as well. Would have loved a little more room in the studio, up-to-date appliances and blackout shades on French door.

Nice rental. Attention to detail in items in the condo was good. Problem with wifi.... worked maybe half the time. Contacted manager, was not able to do anything to improve it.

Small but very efficient space. Many pleasant extras. Coffee, soda, snacks,etc. Our only complaint was the bed, it was a wall bed but was so low to the floor we couldn't use it. We slept in the chairs all week.

We stayed for two weeks too small of a living area for two week stay. We wish we would have been directed to another location. Upper deck would be great in better weather it was unusually cold and windy for our first 11 days - so little use of deck and no use of the barbecue area. Housekeeper was available for a change up of linens after the first week and we appreciated that service. We updated a lamp for the owner (at her experience) since the existing lamp was old and loose providing minimal light for reading. We spent our time at Balboa Park and several museums in the area. The owners were responsive to any request.

Host were very friendly & accommodating! The size/location were perfect for the purpose of our trip. Other than the footsteps above us at night & in the morning the stay was perfect!

Overall great stay! The only complaint we have is my husband and I are sports fans and we arrived on the first day of a NFL game and there are no local channel offerings or sports. We watched on our phones. And the wifi password is incorrect in the room booklet. The hosts on property were being adorable!

Everything was as expected. The location was central to all the places we wanted to go. Owner is super nice, we stopped to chat every day. Even gave us a ride to airport to save us an Uber. Definitely a place we'll stay again!

It was close to all the attractions in San Diego as well as the beaches which made it convenient for us to get more done. Communicating with Aaron and his mother Kathy was easy. They made sure our stay was memorable.

This place is truly incredible. We rented it for 4 nights. The hosts are the most amazing with great recommendations on what to do while you are there. Aaron knows a lot about the area and has great stories. The house is clean and beautiful with an amazing view from the top deck. 10/10 recommend booking here and we plan on coming back!

I had an awesome stay at the Mission Bay Studio! Being there over the Fourth of July was incredible because I could see the fireworks multiple nights from the rooftop! Also, I got advice on where to go in and outside of San Diego, since it was my first time there! Also, they were gracious enough to give me a ride back to the airport!

My daughter and I stayed for 7 nights and were very pleased with the location and accommodtions. Was quiet and easily accessible to the highway. Aaron was very responsive and provided all information needed.

My trip to San Diego was solely for a personal solo work retreat (with no vehicle). When my Uber driver dropped me off he asked, 'you sure you want to stay here? There's nothing around you.' I thought wonderful, because I want nothing and no distractions. However, I found within walking distance three delicious coffee shops, a fabulous block of restaurants and a grocery store. As well, it was perfect walking distance to Mission Bay Park. I loved my room/space and I absolutely loved the rooftop deck! I felt safe and comfortable being alone. Quick drive from the airport too!

Came for a University Sports camp for my kid. Needed a basic place to work and crash at night. The place was great. Clean, perfect location to airport, food, and highway. The view from the roof was phenomenal! Would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay. The only thing that we found was without a vehicle it was hard to get to a store or restaurants. Close to the trolly system for some access. Easy check in and comfortable space. If we rented again we would choose the porch unit to have better access to the outdoor space.

The communication was good. The area was safe and nice to stay in.
