Hotell invid starkt trafikerad väg. Ligger nära järnvägsstationen "fågelvägen" men tar en kvart att gå. Ett hotel som lever kvar i 90 talet och som inte vill förnyas. En fantastisk vinkällarmiljö o resturant i källaren tyvärr lever inte maten upp till vad man kan förvänta sig.

Stort rum med extra AC. Gott om avställningsytor. Någon till ledig elkontakt vid sängen hade varit bra. Separat WC och duschrum, överraskande. Det tog lite för länge på lördagskvällen att få varmvatten i duschen. Fönster mot gården, ingen störande trafik. Fantastisk frukost med allt! Bra parkering, och världens tystaste hiss!

This is a lovely hotel conveniently located around the corner from the railway station. It's not near any shops or restaurants although it does have its own restaurant and is an easy walk to the Old Town. Rooms were very nice, the included breakfast very good. They have air conditioning via quite a noisy standing unit. The only drawback was terrible internet service. Very weak signal that kept crashing. Hard to do a FaceTime call and I couldn't stream video on the laptop. Others at breakfast had the same complaint. If they could fix this, it would be an ideal spot to stay in Bratislava.

It was all good. Only slight issues were that we thought we'd ordered a double but got a twin. Not a huge deal and we didn't bother complain. Secondly, plugs next to the bed would have been convenient. I have a CPAP machine so need it by the bed. We asked for an extension lead but they were unable to provide one. On the other end, the restaurant was a hit, the staff were lovely and the room felt like it had real character. Excellent value.

I was not expecting much to be honest, though the hotel pics online do not give this place justice. We ended up sleeping in or clothes and socks - and didn’t sleep much. We covered our pillows with a towel. Skeevy and was concerned for bed bugs (I’ve gotten them from a Ramada once). Hotel appears to have not been touched in 50 years. Everything is worn and outdated. Mattress is very thin and uncomfortable. Only pro, a 10 minute walk to the train station and the wine store attached has deli, crackers and wine all very very affordable. Located on a very busy street. Despite the pros, it’s not worth the convenience of location.

While the hotel itself and the breakfast were nice, some things were far from ideal. Despite my efforts, I never received a response from the hotel confirming my stay, which made me worry until I arrived and checked in. Although not a major issue, we booked a double room, but we were placed in a twin room, with separate beds. The biggest problem was with the bathroom radiator, which we couldn't get to work. I mentioned it to reception, and I was told they would take a look, but no one followed up on the issue, and we checked out without being able to use it. Might also be worth mentioning that we had dinner at the restaurant on our first night (there was a 10% discount voucher with the key cards, which we only noticed afterwards), and I'm not sure if it was because we went there "late" (around 8pm), but most of the dishes were no longer available.

Malgré un exterieur qui ne paie pas de mine, des chambres de grandes tailles et propres. Malgré une situation au bord d'une grand artère menant au centre de Bratislava (donc accessible facilement à pied ou en transport en commun), elles sont silencieuses. Le stationnement est garantie et l'accès privé. Le petit dejeuner est composé de bons produits et bien achalandé. Quand au restaurant de l'hôtel, il vaut a lui seul la venue. Des plats aux dessets, en passant par la cave à vin, c'est parfait même en y restant trois jours.

El hotel cumple con su función. Es muy limpio. Las habitaciones son grandes. El desayuno cumple su función. No es increíble pero es ok. Está cerca de la estación de tren. A 15 min caminando del centro. Lo único las camas que podrían ser más cómodas.

The hotel is nice, with abundant hot water and a comfortable bed!! The room was a little shop-worn, but clean!! One concern was the shower which was a little slippery!! Breakfast was great...as was the staff!!!

The hotel was slightly outside the centre, but only about a 20 minute walk away. It was raining the day we stayed so we were back at the hotel early and was going to watch a movie. The TV only had local channels and it wasn't a smart TV, strange as I doubt many tourists speak the local language. The rooms are spacious and the hotel is very clean and in a good state of repair.

夏の猛暑の時期に宿泊しましたが、 エアコンが無かったので、夜は窓を開けて寝ました。どうにか寝れる温度ですが、ホテルが幹線道路沿いにあるので、朝5時過ぎ位には激しい交通量による騒音で目が覚めてしまいました。 それと、これはエクスペディアの評価が悪いですが、駅からとても近いと思ってホテルまで向かうと思ったより時間が掛かります。駅距離1〜2分でイメージしそうですが、実際には10分以上確実に掛かります。15分程度のイメージで向かえば誤差はそこまでないです。 後、換気が良くないのかお風呂一帯がカビ臭かった。 しかし、コストパフォーマンスという点から考えれば昨今の物価高を踏まえれば優秀。安く済ませたい人にはむいてます。

We were very happy with our room - very comfortable, spacious and clean. Our only complaint was that the internet was extremely spotty in our room. We discovered there was a strong signal in the restaurant, but the receptionist seemed unaware of that.

The accessibility to the hotel was not easy, it took us over 25 minutes to walk from the train station, the map was not showing clear location of the hotel, we had to cross the bridge up and down, be aware if you plan to walk with your heavy luggage’s and kids. Pros: The receptionist was helpful and polite. The room was a bit old style, but the washroom was pretty new. The food and service at the restaurant were amazing, it’s definitely worth to enjoy a dinner there! I will rate a five stars in this part! The breakfast area was nice and clean, food was good too! We are able to adjust the temperature of the room; this is not available in most of the hotels. Cons: There’s no charging station at the bed side, so I was unable to use my CPAC while sleeeping. The TV has no English channels at all!

We chose the Matysak because it had great reviews and is close to the station. The staff were friendly, the rooms were large, spacious and well-equipped, and the breakfasts were great, including hot dishes as well as the usual range of cold options. The croissants were especially delicious! I would love to give the hotel 5 stars, and I certainly would stay there again. But I have to point out a couple of issues. First, the room safe was broken and dismantled. The front desk said that was deliberate, because it was one of the safes that had been malfunctioning. If you have malfunctioning equipment, you replace it, you don't just leave it. Two lights were not working but those got fixed after I reported the problem (thank you). The wifi was too weak to use in my room, except really close to the door, down on the floor. Although the room safe and wifi problems prevent me from giving 5 stars, overall I was very satisfied.

夏の猛暑の時期に宿泊しましたが、 エアコンが無かったので、夜は窓を開けて寝ました。どうにか寝れる温度ですが、ホテルが幹線道路沿いにあるので、朝5時過ぎ位には激しい交通量による騒音で目が覚めてしまいました。 それと、これはエクスペディアの評価が悪いですが、駅からとても近いと思ってホテルまで向かうと思ったより時間が掛かります。駅距離1〜2分でイメージしそうですが、実際には10分以上確実に掛かります。15分程度のイメージで向かえば誤差はそこまでないです。 後、換気が良くないのかお風呂一帯がカビ臭かった。 しかし、コストパフォーマンスという点から考えれば昨今の物価高を踏まえれば優秀。安く済ませたい人にはむいてます。

The accessibility to the hotel was not easy, it took us over 25 minutes to walk from the train station, the map was not showing clear location of the hotel, we had to cross the bridge up and down, be aware if you plan to walk with your heavy luggage’s and kids. Pros: The receptionist was helpful and polite. The room was a bit old style, but the washroom was pretty new. The food and service at the restaurant were amazing, it’s definitely worth to enjoy a dinner there! I will rate a five stars in this part! The breakfast area was nice and clean, food was good too! While the hotel itself and the breakfast were nice, some things were far from ideal. Despite my efforts, I never received a response from the hotel confirming my stay, which made me worry until I arrived and checked in. Although not a major issue, we booked a double room, but we were placed in a twin room, with separate beds. The biggest problem was with the bathroom radiator, which we couldn't get to work. I mentioned it to reception, and I was told they would take a look, but no one followed up on the issue, and we checked out without being able to use it. Might also be worth mentioning that we had dinner at the restaurant on our first night (there was a 10% discount voucher with the key cards, which we only noticed afterwards), and I'm not sure if it was because we went there "late" (around 8pm), but most of the dishes were no longer available.

The hotel was slightly outside the centre, but only about a 20 minute walk away. It was raining the day we stayed so we were back at the hotel early and was going to watch a movie. The TV only had local channels and it wasn't a smart TV, strange as I doubt many tourists speak the local language. The rooms are spacious and the hotel is very clean and in a good state of repair.

Stort rum med extra AC. Gott om avställningsytor. Någon till ledig elkontakt vid sängen hade varit bra. Separat WC och duschrum, överraskande. Det tog lite för länge på lördagskvällen att få varmvatten i duschen. Fönster mot gården, ingen störande trafik. Fantastisk frukost med allt! Bra parkering, och världens tystaste hiss!

A very clean and comfortable room. Most of the staff were friendly- some of the restaurant staff were a little abrupt. Delicious breakfast with a live omelette cooking station. Not far from the city centre - a 30 minute walk, but there is a bus stop close by with a range of buses all running at regular times.

Malgré un exterieur qui ne paie pas de mine, des chambres de grandes tailles et propres. Malgré une situation au bord d'une grand artère menant au centre de Bratislava (donc accessible facilement à pied ou en transport en commun), elles sont silencieuses. Le stationnement est garantie et l'accès privé. Le petit dejeuner est composé de bons produits et bien achalandé. Quand au restaurant de l'hôtel, il vaut a lui seul la venue. Des plats aux dessets, en passant par la cave à vin, c'est parfait même en y restant trois jours.

There is no on site restaurant (apart from breakfast) so its a bit of a walk to find an evening meal (unless you stay for dinner in the old town) Most of the sights to visit are in the old town, which is quite a way from the hotel, but it is again walkable, taking 30 minutes at a leisurely pace. I would recommend the hotel.

So the staff were super lovely and helpful, and the property felt clean. But. The walls were paper thin so if you have neighbours watching TV til midnight, you best believe you’re staying up watching it with them. There was also only one plug socket in the whole room by the TV, and one of the lights was broken. The shower wobbled so you couldn’t get it at the right angle, but apart from that the bathroom was great. Breakfast was also nice, but for the price, I wouldn’t stay here again. Not guaranteed a good night’s sleep and too many things that needed better up keep.
