So it lists shuttle service- I waited over an hour. I called hotel 3 times and they said there was a lot of traffic. Every other hotel shuttle went by at least twice. Hotel offers free hot bfast. When I went down this morning they said restaurant was being renovated so no bfast! Pretty disappointed . Won’t stay at a clarion again.

We rented a room at this hotel because it advertised having a pool. We called in advance and were told the pool was open. Our kids were really excited to swim in said pool and upon arriving after buying pool equipment like floaties for the youngsters we find out that the pool is closed for two days for freshly poured concrete. We struggled to use the microwave as all of the buttons were labeled in French. They charge exorbitant fees for the food at the restaurant ($4 coffee, $9 parfait, etc) and they didn’t even have fruit.

Don’t stay here… Hot Mess!!! Elevator out of order, washing machine out of order, air conditioning out of order, coffee machine out of order, key cards don’t work, phones: if you have one in your room (most rooms don’t have one) they are so static you can’t understand anything so you have to go to the front desk, pool is falling apart with pieces of cement in pool, pool not well maintained (green), housekeeping? haha when do they come??? While it is an older property there is obvious new carpet and furnishings. The hot tub has been filled in and is a giant planter. The pool was dirty. The fitness room was broken and they sent us to the connection hotel to use theirs. The room was clean and comfortable, but the bathroom needs repair. The wall was peeling and the counter pulling away from the wall.

I have to say that this Red Lion was a big disappointment. The bed was nice but the building was not in very good shape. Outlets didn’t work and both myself and one of the staff were stuck in the elevator at least once, the doors would start to open and then slam shut (VERY unsafe!), the elevator shook and clanked like it was going to drop (I didn’t feel safe in it and started taking the stairs. There were MAJOR problems with the keycards for both my party and several other guests. Card after card was issued and rooms were changed with the same problem. We went through 3 different rooms on 3 different floors trying to find one we could even open the door to. After asking specifically if the breakfast was complimentary and being told “yes”, we found out the next morning that this wasn’t the case. The staff really tried to take care of us but it was clear that the building was in such a state that that they had no control over the problems. They were as frustrated as we were and very embarrassed. We won’t be back!

The staff was slow upon checking in due to a huge concert that day. even the front desk workers were saying the key cards could have been preset ahead of time. there was no ac in the lobby, the hallway stunk, the ac in the room was super load, there was no hot water in the bathroom, no free breakfast, and i was told that the shuttle could pick me up from the greyhound bus station, and turns out that was not correct. crackheads, prostitutes and homeless are crawling all around the location.

The place has a cockroach infestation, there was mold in the bathroom, the lights keep turning off. The carpets are sticky, the front desk person was super nice, she deserves to work at a better place. This place shouldn’t even be open, it was so dirty and disgusting I couldn’t even take a shower and I left way early.

This was quite possibly one of the worst experiences and most disgusting hotels I have ever been to in my entire life. The place was run down. There were cockroaches, crawling across the floor with rooms smell like weed and there was a pair of used dirty women’s underwear outside of our room. When we looked into the room, there was a semen stain on the headboard. There were other areas of the hotel that were in severe disrepair where rugs had not been secured to the floor room numbers have been taped with the wall, and there was many stains of water or something else on the floor. There is a large meeting hall, where an abandoned fountain with dirty, standing water and a homeless person was sleeping inside of. The one person working at the desk seemed unconcerned about all the complaints that we made, and she would not check us in to the hotel even though it was 1 o’clock in the morning and the airport we had been to was closed. There was not a single ounce of concern or worry when we told the front desk person about all these issues.

The area is really busy with foot traffic which wasn't a problem because no one bothered us at night.Plus some guy sitting in the lobby warning us about the prostitution that goes on at night....My main concern with the hotel would be the roaches that came out from behind the TV mount and room 1334. We were moved to room 1119 same issues more small baby roaches crawling across the bed and walls. At this point I had already driven many hours and wanted to lay down so I stayed until 7am my daughter on the other hand left in the middle of the night due to the bugs. Which she was the only reason I came to town was to visit. The hotel needs little improvement with bugs and cleanness. I would not recommend to anyone.

The hotel did not smell It’s Best. It was obvious that smoking had taken place throughout the entire hotel. There was actually a burn on our toilet seat and sink. I was given a room with an adjoining door and asked to move because of safety concerns after talking with the lady at the front desk, she assured me that the room next to me was only used for storage and that it was not being rented. That was a lie. there are a lot of random straggly people walking around the property on the outside. Yes, there is Security and let me say Security is having to earn their money. this being our first time staying here Security singled out my son and told him that he was banned from the property and was told not to come back there anymore after taking him in to see the manager and pulling up the photo of the guy they were talking about they concluded that that was not my son and apologized I can’t see myself staying here ever again. I only booked because the PGA tour was in town and there was nothing else available. Bad choice.

1. Checked in while another couple were checking out because of roaches in their room. 2. Room was in disrepair. 3. Room was dirty, bug splats all over ceiling, not been vacuumed properly, hole under door approx 2 inches high. 4. Went out for dinner, and a group were arriving with cameras blatantly intending to shoot adult movies. 5. Door was repeatedly tried during the night by an adult male trying to get in the room. 6. Only good thing about the visit fast checkout.

The lobby was hot, the thermostat showed 82 and made for an uncomfortable wait to check in. The mini fridge didn’t work, gaps in the carpet, parts of the stucco walls were cracked and peeling apart, the bathroom vanity top had dropped about an inch and the toilet seat was broken. The phone in the room didn’t work, so we couldn’t contact the front desk. Maybe add more handicap spots near the front of the building.

Staff was friendly, large hotel with interesting areas and a pool. I didnt get to spend much time there since I was there for a concert but over-all it was a good place. My only problem is that the room I had and most of the hotel was hot, AC was not working properly, made it hard to sleep but I didnt have time to change rooms to try and fix that issue with the tight schedule I was on.

It was a pleasant stay. There were a couple things I didn't like. The bathroom light on a timer and wifi. Seems if the sensor on the switch didn't see movement for a couple minutes the light would turn off. Couldn't find a way to adjust the light for a longer duration. Also, weak wifi signal in the room, ended up using my phone as a hotspot for the laptop.

Nothing special, you get what you pay for. No food available whatsoever. Outdated temperature control, and shower head / bath area. Positives were comfortable beds, and good shuttle to and from CLT airport.

This hotel is just okay, but for the price it's a good deal. The building itself is in decent condition but the room was very tired. Bathroom ceiling was falling down, lots of flooding evidence, toilet was weirdly placed. Water didn't really get above lukewarm, no soap in the bathroom. The sheets and bed were clean and nice. Television was comically small. Door was not well sealed so you knew when anyone was leaving their room in the hall.

This hotel doesn’t look like much from the outside and it’s located in a not-so-great area, so we weren’t sure what to expect. However, we were pleasantly surprised once we stepped into the lobby it’s much nicer and bigger inside than it appears from the outside! The hotel itself is quite large, and while the rooms are definitely older and a bit outdated, our stay was still very comfortable. The beds were amazing super cozy and made for a great night’s sleep. Overall, not a bad stay at all, and we’ll definitely be booking again.

The trip went left at check in. There was only one person at the desk with a line of customers. We were fresh off the road and needed to shower and change for our event. Due to the lack of employees we were over an hour late. Check in was at 3:00 pm we arrived at 2:45 just to be safe. We didn’t get checked in until almost 4:00.

Our flight arrived very late (1 am) but when I called the hotel they said the courtesy shuttle would be there in 15 minutes. After waiting over 30 minutes I called to ask where it was. The clerk said that even though we had a reservation, they didn’t have any rooms left so the shuttle wasn’t coming. Apparently they overbooked the hotel. Nice to find out at 2 am when your flight is scheduled for 7 am!

I have to say that this Red Lion was a big disappointment. The bed was nice but the building was not in very good shape. Outlets didn’t work and both myself and one of the staff were stuck in the elevator at least once, the doors would start to open and then slam shut (VERY unsafe!), the elevator shook and clanked like it was going to drop (I didn’t feel safe in it and started taking the stairs. There were MAJOR problems with the keycards for both my party and several other guests. Card after card was issued and rooms were changed with the same problem. We went through 3 different rooms on 3 different floors trying to find one we could even open the door to. After asking specifically if the breakfast was complimentary and being told “yes”, we found out the next morning that this wasn’t the case. The staff really tried to take care of us but it was clear that the building was in such a state that that they had no control over the problems. They were as frustrated as we were and very embarrassed. We won’t be back!

My hotel key card would not work for my room door. Each time I needed in my room I would have to go to the office and they would give me a new card. I told them it’s not the card the lock battery needs new batteries. They changed it out two days later and it did the same thing. So each time I needed in my room they would have to send security up to my room to let me in. I was not even offered a different room. Even the guy at the desk said he couldn’t believe I wasn’t moved in a new room. On checkout day I asked to speak with the manager and I was told she was in a conference call and I would get a call back. I didn’t hear from her and when I call I get told she is not there. I would like a refund on this horrible stay.

The staff was slow upon checking in due to a huge concert that day. even the front desk workers were saying the key cards could have been preset ahead of time. there was no ac in the lobby, the hallway stunk, the ac in the room was super load, there was no hot water in the bathroom, no free breakfast, and i was told that the shuttle could pick me up from the greyhound bus station, and turns out that was not correct. crackheads, prostitutes and homeless are crawling all around the location.

It was exactly what we needed. Close to the airport, clean, two beds, pet friendly. Larger than a standard room, having a tad more space was nice. Front desk staff was awesome! Don’t expect fancy, extravagant, or frills and fancy. It’s standard, basic, but clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to needing a renovation (carpets, tile flooring) but they did the most with what they have. Clean and comfortable.

I only got it for the shuttle and didnt even get to use it. Waited for the shuttle for 40 mins and turned out its for two hotels, so many people jumped in and stood on eachother we just had to take a lyft. Id rather have stayed anywhere else cause walking in the area homeless people yelled at us and its loud at night at the stripclub next door.

Last minute booking due to flight delays. Felt very sketchy checking in at night. Several security standing around in lobby. They had to chase a woman away wanting to use the bathroom. I’m sure she wandered over from the Gentlemen’s Club that shares the same parking lot. When I got off the elevator on my floor it smelled like “weed”. Room was neat and tidy. Bathroom extremely small. Luckily I was only there long enough just to get 4 hours sleep before heading back to airport.

So, I wanted to love this property way more, but I gotta be honest. The area surrounding the property needs to be cleaned up more. I saw reviews saying they felt unsafe because of the strip club across the street, but there was a fence separating them. With that being said, I still felt ok to stay on the property itself even while coming in at night. The food at the restaurant was ok. I ordered a burger that was the size of a slider but cost as much as a full sized burger. My room was clean, no roaches but there were two or three millipedes... and the AC was nice and cold. The thing is the hot water didn't work. So they had me switch out rooms... but then my room key didn't work. I had 7 different keys and they all didn't work. So I had to depend on security to open my room door. Other than this, I had no issues... EVERYONE was nice, people that stayed at the hotel, the staff at the hotel (from front desk to housekeeping), the hotel itself and hallways had no smell like I've read about in past reviews. The hallway was really warm, though. But that's it. Personally, I'd at least give it one more try and I would recommend for anyone to try this hotel.

From the main road, we had to make several turns to get to this hotel. lt would have been difficult to find without GPS. We didn't notice any easily visible signage to help us navigate toward it. The only Clarion sign we noticed was on the side of the hotel after we had figured out where it was. But there was also a Ramada sign. The front desk had check-in for two different hotels. We arrived early and they were nice enough to let us check into an available room. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was rather small. There was no plug for the bathtub, so I used a washcloth to stop the water from draining. The AC unit was a bit noisy, but not in a helpful "white noise" kind of way. My stay was a little disappointing. We didn’t have running water in the sink which I did speak to the front desk clerk about but nothing got done. The phone in the room didn’t work and it would be nice to have better pillows for comfort. I was expecting to sit by the pool and that closed at 8. The bistro restaurant didn’t have liquor license to even supply drinks for those who would like to unwind. Sorry for the disappointing review but as a paying customers I would had like to enjoy my stay

So it lists shuttle service- I waited over an hour. I called hotel 3 times and they said there was a lot of traffic. Every other hotel shuttle went by at least twice. Hotel offers free hot bfast. When I went down this morning they said restaurant was being renovated so no bfast! Pretty disappointed . Won’t stay at a clarion again.

We rented a room at this hotel because it advertised having a pool. We called in advance and were told the pool was open. Our kids were really excited to swim in said pool and upon arriving after buying pool equipment like floaties for the youngsters we find out that the pool is closed for two days for freshly poured concrete. We struggled to use the microwave as all of the buttons were labeled in French. They charge exorbitant fees for the food at the restaurant ($4 coffee, $9 parfait, etc) and they didn’t even have fruit.

I called the morning I was to arrive and asked if they had a restaurant onsite and asked about the hours as our flight would get in about 8pm. The Travelocity listing stated a restaurant and included breakfast. The staff stated the restaurant was open until midnight. We checked in and went to the restaurant to find out they no longer had a liquor permit and only had half the items on the menu. I suspect they were just cleaning out the freezer. Found an amazing Honduran restaurant across the street with great food and full bar.

The hotel also had a snack and drink machine as well as an ice machine. Luckily, there were also a laundry area to wash and dry clothes. My two main complaints is that 1) there was no free/complimentary breakfast. A really nice property, will be really nice when they fix it up. The front desk clerk was fantastic and the young lady at the restaurant was perfect. Need to get your liquor license. Also within walking distance of a really nice bar.

All was good. Room was okay. The shuttle airport was the spotlight as you saved money instead of getting an uber. Good AC.

Our flight was delayed so we had to stay the night in Charlotte. We got this hotel quickly and they have a shuttle to and from the airport. It served the purpose we needed but there was nothing nice or very bad about it. There is no restaurant despite the website saying there was. The room was clean enough and they didn't have bed bugs and it felt safe. The hotel looks old and there was a strong smell of mildew on the 1st floor. I would never stay there for my vacation but it served the purpose for that night and beat sleeping in the airport.

This property is a CLOSED DOWN but was rented out because of a concert for money don’t stay here smelled of mold Service desk people were horrible the hotel was over booked and it was just by far a horrible experience
