We weren’t on the all-inclusive plan and were unable to charge drinks to our room. When we purchased drinks at the pool bar they were the tiniest drinks that you’ve ever seen (likely because they’re catering to all-inclusive.) there were no pool or beach chairs available after 10;00am. There was a MAJOR water leak happening which resulted in ceilings being cut out and dripping through the lobby.

If it were not for a struggling wait staff, this place should be prepped for a teardown. One of the two hotel elevators broke down and remained that way for half of my one-week stay. During the day, the majority of the other one was loaded to more than double its maximum allowable capacity. There was no place for people to sit in the expansive lobby area despite having a bar to serve drinks. Noisy and crowded with construction work. The price for food and drinks was exorbitant.

We booked a garden view room, received a room with a view of the parking lot but was told an Oceanview upgrade wouldn't cost very much. I had visited this property several years ago. They had a wonderful swim up bar that no longer exists and they covered over their largest infinity pool. Leaving 3 inferior pools with little to no seating. Overall we were very disappointed.

Construction was happening, concrete demission was happening. No gym as advertised The sea was too rough to swim in any distance. No lifeguards. Too many peddlers on the beach. They wake you up if you go to sleep. People leave item on sun lunger and go somewhere else, so if you do not go down early you probably not going to get one.

Grounds and room was very nice but didn’t know there was so much construction and the main pool closed. No option for food except the buffet, no snack bar as on the website. Housekeeping was terrible, had to keep asking for coffee, towels, Kleenex. No hand towel except first day.

El hotel se encuentra en COSTRUCCION, así que el ruido por construcción es todo el día, en todas las partes del hotel, por lo cual tuve que cancelar a mi estancia de inmediato, acudes por descanso no a ver cómo personal de construcción trabaja. Una sola alberca para todos los huéspedes, más pequeña de lo habitual en un hotel. NO RECOMIENDO PARA NADA VISITARLO HASTA QUE TERMINENE DE REALIZAR SU OBRA.

The hotel grounds are under renovation, a lot of noise & construction vehicles on sight which took away from a relaxing vacation vibe. The rooms are filthy, I mean horrible, thick dust everywhere, on pictures, tv under the fridge & lots of dust bunnies on the ceiling & fan. The drapes have probably not been cleaned in years. Room safe did not work, batteries were dead, balcony doors didn’t lock & balcony light was burned out. Upside was the bed was very comfortable, towels & sheets were clean. The staff are extremely polite & accommodating & tried very hard to compensate for the aging, declining property. We cleaned up our room ourselves & stayed a week & enjoyed the fantastic view of the ocean & sunsets. The pools, deck & loungers are okay. We did not dine on site, lots of restaurants nearby & a bus stop right outside the lobby. The price was right but I would not stay again here.

Hi, I stayed here for with my boyfriend for our summer vacation, and we were the ONLY Americans in the whole resort/hotel, It was all local people. Partying went on till 1AM, the rooms was dirty when arriving, the paint from the ceiling was falling apart in the shower, the toilet seat was broken, the bathroom vent was leaking water all over the place, and shower didn’t drain, nor bathroom sink. Just be aware black mold was everywhere, and the resort/hotel is DEFINITELY not what the pictures show online.

This place needs a lot of love, not so clean and our room needed upgrades (Bathroom door handle, toilet paper holder and the toilet flush handle were basically falling apart) and the mirror was disgusting. Not to mention we had to call the front desk multiple times to get towels as they just forgot to replace them when they cleaned the room. ALSO, they are starting a major construction project (15 ish story building) and renovating and older one right on beach, NOT the place to relax! On a positive note, the staff is very nice and the location is good, lots of restaurants around (walking distance).

I honestly felt uncomfortable in my room because there was a giant black mold spot in the bathroom and in hindsight should have asked to be moved. There was also a leak above the toilet that dripped on your head while it was in use. Overall the property is nice for the price. I enjoyed the live salsa music in the lobby in the evening and the staff was very friendly.

Room has dirty, holes on the wall and headboard lines dirty and stained. Bathtub cracked dirty and stained. Toilet stained and dirty. Horrible conditions. Checked out the next day. Ended in staying at “los tules puerto Vallarta” for the same price. The place was nice and clean, ambiance was great! Kristal is a false advertisement that place is horrible conditions.

The property is dated. The rooms are ok. Water pressure and hot water were limited. The pictures are of an older building by the pool and beach. Hard to get chairs by pool or beach. No monitoring of people holding seats all day. We did not do the food package. Too many good restaurants in the area or downtown.

Almost everything was perfect. Concern that you could hear EVERYTHING through the doors and walls from our room. There was also a red mark on one of our pillows (looked like a drop of blood???? Evening else was good.

Great view from room. Good size rooms, clean, tons of tv channels in english, beautiful bathroom, refrigerator provided. Deck with chairs, a/c. I did find a cockroach in my bed before i slept in it but didnt find anything else. A bit noisy throughout the night out in hallway. We were on 26th floor, top of the building. A bit of a walk to the pools and beach. There is a huge active construction site on the property next to the main pool. Very loud. But would rather hear contstruction then the loudest activity director, with a microphone and huge speaker on full blast all day. Annoying. Food is subpar, expensive if you do buffet without inclusive package. But definetly not worth paying for inclusive unless you drink a lot. Great bar staff. Great front desk staff and thanks to Pablo for taking care of our luggage!! Easy check in process. Good location. Store next to hotel for limited needs. They bring in locals on busses 24 /7 so pretty packed. Pools are packed and get dirty quick. No waiters at pool which was odd

The grounds at the crystal were beautiful ,the pools lovely although required some maintenance missing tiles everywhere,didn’t pay for all inclusive so can’t speak to that ,our room was in the tower it was very clean ,all except the mildew smell when the air conditioning was on ,we didn’t need it so it went away when shut off

Rooms are very clean and staff are friendly. However checking in and out are major problems with this Hotel you will wait 10-40 min in line with no other options. And the hotel will not let you leave without checking out and getting a ticket to leave so plan accordingly You will also be required to wear a wristband your entire stay. I feel like this hotel has no regard for your time, not up to American standards.

The staff was not very welcoming or courteous. They gave us a room with double beds when we reserved a room with a king size bed. When we asked to be moved to a room with a king size bed like we had reserved, in a very unapologetic way they said they didnt have one available, that what we got was all they had available and they could move us to a new room the next day. We were only there for 2 days. I didn't want to unpack one day in one room and move to a new room the next. Also the hotel is under construction and had one small pool for everyone. The pool was so full and no where to even sit by the pool. The whole place needs to be renovated. Unpleasant stay for many reasons.we will not be going back.

We had what could have been a lovely evening completely soured by the behavior of the head waiter. Instead of doing his actual job, he decided it was appropriate to ask my partner to play chess with him and then told her she “needs to make friends” (with him) if she ever wants to come back and stay for free. That is not charming, it’s inappropriate flirting and unprofessional. When you go to a restaurant, you expect attentive service, not some bizarre attempt at recruiting personal “friends” from the guests. This kind of behavior puts people in an uncomfortable position and crosses boundaries that should never be crossed in hospitality. A head waiter should be creating a welcoming, respectful environment — not turning the dining room into his own playground for awkward advances. Based on this experience, I would strongly caution anyone, especially women, about the way staff conduct themselves here.

Service is terrible. Took over an hour to check in. Never a valet to get taxi. Beach has only about 25 chairs. No bar service by pools. No one answers room service. No one speaks English at all. Did not provide receipt at all(refused at check out). Restaurants limited and staff very rude This hotel is set up for Mexican locals with lots of kids. No a good place for English speaking tourist. Very rude. The rooms are wonderful and clean but that was the only highlight at this resort. Price is cheap but you get what you pay for and less here.

Personal de recepción con mala actitud hasta que se dieron cuenta que mi reserva era por expedia, desde ahí la recepcionista que nos atendió fue una maravilla en la atención. El personal de botones no mueve un dedo por ayudarte con tu carro u orientarte en dónde acomodarlo mientras te registras, las paredes del piso de la torre donde tuvimos la habitación estaban con humedad constante y el aseo a la habitación siempre era muy tarde casi a las 15:00 horas. El aire acondicionado no enfriaba rápidamente la habitación. Las albercas generalmente se estaban sucias con basura de palmeras y arena.

We really enjoy our stay . We did visit between Nov 7-11. Great location. Walking distance to the marina where from boat excursions were departing was a nice bonus as we booked some. Nice beach. The water temperature in the ocean was amazing. We were sleeping so well there :) Forgot to check the tag on their pillows as those were super comfortable. Very helpful and kind staff . Would go back again.

It was ok if you only spend the night over, my family and I went so we booked for 4 days the stay only was $810usd for 4 days 3 nights when we got there they told us if we added the all included it would be $522usd total for 4 persons we added it but the food was the same every day not a variety and they had a new year dinner which they said if we wanted to participate it would be another $88usd per person which was insane if it was all included why not include that! they had two restaurants and they said one would be oriental and the other Italian all lies the new year day they closed one of them for the dinner and we had only one choice which was the same Mexican menu of every day when both of the restaurants were available and open it was the same food in both of the restaurant’s also the bars would get closed very early so you could even enjoy the drinks one day they had music playing so the bar next to the stage guess what they closed it there was a bar at lobby but it also closed at 11 and you had to cross a whole pathway to get a drink not worth it by 11:30 everything was silent and closed do not recommend
