Chosen for the proximity to GOTL, walnut beach and grand river area. Also the jacuzzi tub in room and continental breakfast. The exterior grounds were disappointing along with the jacuzzi cracked tub bottom surface. Once the curtains were open we noticed the upper window frame has crumbled plaster and the outside area looked full of weeds where im guessing a swimming pool once was located.Parking lot is in need of attention. We did not use the ac unit in room but did look at the filters of the ac and was appalled by the amount of lint, dust and hair on them. I have severe allergies and this would have affected me greatly. Very disappointed with our stay. Building obviously is very old and not bringing in the revenue for normal upkeep and required maintenance. Staff were polite and breakfast was well done.

This isn't the typical Red Roof Inn, in that there are no outside entrances to each room, making it more secure. Also, they have a lounge on site. Exceptional for a Red Roof Inn.

Nice people but the facility is old the dryer was broken the sink drain was broken but it had a nice comfortable bed and a hot shower, although it took a while for the water to get warm

Hotel was fine, a little dated, probably as clean as it could be considering. We were just looking for a bed for the night, and that’s what we got. Breakfast was cold and uninspired. Fitness room was shut down. Signs around the hotel indicating a remodel was going on, but I suspect things were shut down during Covid and never opened up.

Checked in and could tell right away the place was not maintained at a great level place looked outdated floors were dirty doors made noise went opened got to the room, lots of hair around sink and then bathtub and on floor. Very disgusting didn’t seem to be clean very well bedroom comfortable in rooms just looked aged, but did have a great view of the swimming pool out the window. But unfortunately, it was filled with dirt not something very appealing

The room was not clean there was hair all over the tub, the floor was very dirty and we found a sock that was not ours and in our other room there were hair clippings in the sink, plus a dirty q-tip on the floor. Cleaning crew was knocking on our door long before we had to check out. Our room keys were disabled, we went to breakfast and came back and couldn’t get back in

Would not recommend. Spent $165 to stay, no bath towels, I asked for one and was told they ran out and didn’t have any. The bedding was stained bad. Luckily I brought extra bedding with us on this trip. Will not be back.

The room I stayed in smelled like vomit. There was other people’s food and drinks left in the refrigerator. The toilet was never cleaned. I had to clean off the toilet seat myself before I could use it. There were not many choices for breakfast, but it was a very good price and the bed was comfortable.

We checked in and checked out 15 minutes later. There were questionable stains on the pillows and the walls. My friend’s pillow had someone else’s hair on it. There was a stale smell in the room and the pillows smelled stale as well. The biggest thing was that the bathroom floor/around the toilet and in the tub all had a bunch of pubic hair. They checked our room and apologized and gave us a full refund. The only upside was that the girl at the front desk was very nice!

This hotel is old and run down. The minute i walked into the room, I started itching and was not able to stop until checkout. The room smells musty. I could not even sleep in bed because the linens were dirty and could not stop the itching. I had to sleep in a chair,with my beach towel as my blanket.The room had not been cleaned.There was a bandaid behind the chair, wrapper under the bed and food crumbs on the floor. The wall behind the chair was dented up. I had to clean the chair, which was full of dog hair. The tub had mold/mildew in it. The guy at the front desk told us no restaurants delivered in to the hotel and I found out later that was false.

It was safe. With the front door locked and had to have a key to get in and in your room.🙂 They could do better with cleaning. The bathtub and the floor had hair on it.The hair dryer was caked with makeup on handle.and You could tell The plate on the lights had not been dusted.and Neither was the furniture. It appeared the floors had not been mopped either. In the toilets needed a real good scrubbing and around the sink And behind the faucet was like shaving clippings from hair. I come in from Arizona several times a year because of proximity to my son. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, but my last 2 stays (January and now) i have been VERY disappointed at the cleanliness of the rooms. Both times there was hair, dirt and dust bunnies on the bathroom floor, spilled, sticky pop ny the beds and desk, and thru the clear trash can liners, i can see crusted food and more sticky pop. On a positive note, the linens smell wonderfully fresh, and their TV's are much bigger than most motels.

The beds and rooms were pretty clean overall. Staff is accommodating and attentive. I would stay again but that doesn't mean there weren't issues. The handle on the door to the room I was staying was extremely sticky and you would need 5+ attempts to open it. The toilet was no longer properly affixed to the floor and wobbled, thankfully it didn't leak or cause issues. The hot and cold valves on the shower were a guessing game at best. Once you finally had the water temp to a good comfy spot it would get extremely hot or extremely cold and you would need to maintain it the whole time you were bathing. The stopper in the sink was also broken. So while very clean... It lacked maintenance.

The room was relatively clean and comfortable. However, the overall building is in dire need of a complete gutting and remodel. The hallways smelled stale and moldy. The lighting is very poor. The door to the room sticks and you had to shove it open with your shoulder.

I go to this property usually once a month or every other month. Ive left 5 star reviews every time. This time however was different in the morning before checkout. I recieved a pounding on my door that said houskeeping, despite the do not disturb sign on the door. I yelled out that i still had 30 min before checkout. Several minutes later i get another pounding on the door. I again yell out I am getting ready to leave. Staff yelled they "needed to talk to me". I yelled i was not dressed yet. Again pounding on the door and staff states, "I need to come to the door". I open the door with a towel wrapped around me, for staff to question me about why a corner of a white towel was seen under the door. I stated that I was blocking the light from the hall. Staff proceeds to ask if I was smoking in the room I stated, no. Does it smell like ive been smoking? Staff put her head in the open door, while i am naked, says no and walks down the hall.

This is a great property for the price. Main areas of the hotels could us updates (especially the parking lot). The continental breakfast is good, rooms a nice. Being a dog friendly hotel was amazing! Staff was awesome the whole time.

The girl at the counter was just straight cold. If you dont want to be at your job... find a different one. To instantly make a guest feel unwanted like they are interrupting you is just wrong.

I am very thankful for Wesley. I had gotten in the hotel the night before. I had accidentally left my wallet on the hood of the car overnight. Wesley had found it the next morning and put it in the office. After 3 hours of searching I asked him if he found a wallet. He said, Yes. I was so elated. Thankful. Appreciative. The receptionist was also very helpful and considerate in helping me look. Thank you so much for all you did to help me find my wallet.

I come in from Arizona several times a year because of proximity to my son. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, but my last 2 stays (January and now) i have been VERY disappointed at the cleanliness of the rooms. Both times there was hair, dirt and dust bunnies on the bathroom floor, spilled, sticky pop ny the beds and desk, and thru the clear trash can liners, i can see crusted food and more sticky pop. On a positive note, the linens smell wonderfully fresh, and their TV's are much bigger than most motels.

It’s a nice little pitstop in town next to everything you need if you’re booking last minute. The staff was so nice and understanding and everything is clean and organized and decent for kids and children. I got good sleep.

The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. This hotel allows pets, but our room did not have any pet odor in it. Nor did the room have carpeting, so there was no pet hair laying about. The only complaint we had was that the breakfast was pretty skimpy. We were there for a district swim event held at Spire Institute for my teenage son. He needed protein not just a bunch of carbs and sweets for competition. Thankfully we brought stuff with us and utilized the microwave in our room.

Mirrors in room smeared. Floors unswept. Floors not mopped. Bathroom gross looked like poop on door Toilet ran. Toilet so small like kiddie toilet. Almost slipped in tub & cracked my head. Tub faucet was cold or scalding. Bed broke down in middle, rolled to middle. Sheets had stains. Freaking gross. A/C was loud & barely cooled room with outside temp of 63. No vending machines to get drink or snacks. Breakfast was ok, coffee see through weak.

This was just an average hotel. Nothing special. Cleanliness was decent. Towels were very small and didn’t get very many. But for the price overall I would say it was good. Breakfast was bagels, waffles, cereal, instant oatmeal.

The front desk was not nice he made it uncomfortable and I almost left then. I sent and spend the day with family and later that night I went in and the smell of musty air which got me sick right away. My card did not work to get in and my experience with the front desk earlier in the day made me afraid to even ask. I made the decision to get in my car and drive 3 hours home vs resting after a long day. The hotel experience was unpleasant

I wouldn't let my animals stay here. The company is a theif and will not work with you. Staff was very unhelpful and rude. We won't ever stay here again. Next time put a tent up and take my changes with the bears.
