Days Inn by Wyndham Myrtle Beach

Elevator was broken in a six story hotel! Hot tube was closed because of poop in the water and staff would not clean it. Clients on our floor were swearing and yelling till 2 am and no response from staff. Overall it was a horrible stay! We’ve used La Quinta for years and I can’t believe how bad it has gotten. We won’t use them anymore….ever!

Had to share a double-size bed because they have no bigger beds. Kept waking up because it was so hot in the room, no central AC, kept going to the lobby to stay cool. The second day the pool was closed for the day because visitors decided to go pee in the pool rather than use the restroom inside the lobby. Waited in line for 20 minutes, at 10am and being next to make waffles, was told the waffle makers stops working exactly at 10. We had to eat breakfast elsewhere, an added expense that could've been avoided if it was communicated to us during check-in and the hotel could've displayed a sign. I would not recommend and will not be staying at this hotel ever again. BTW, the front desk lady was nice.

The hotel is now under a different name while I stayed there they were under construction but even tho the stay was nice the only issue is the one elevator was sooo slow and the stairway smelled of urine and pot but the pool was nice the staff was nice the location was very convenient I’d stay again

The waffle maker was out only cereal, pork sausage ,blah eggs ,yogurt and, apples!! Pool was closed on arrival smh staff was hard to locate After internet failed

Was able to check in online but then had to still check in inside so that is a waste of time. Rooms look remodeled or fairly new but they definitely cut corners. There were no outlets in the bathroom. The pool was out of order. The ceiling in the gym was falling apart. Breakfast was very disappointing with very few options and nothing but coffee to drink.

The elevator broke with a small family and myself on it. The phone button in the elevator did not work. I pulled the doors open, cutting under my finger nail. I notified front desk staff. They called the elevator company but did not tell any of the guests that the elevator was out of order. The breakfast was not stocked hardly at all Our bathroom door is the room was broken and would not close. Overall, for the price of close to 200 a night, we were very disappointed. The staff does not care and that is evident. I don't know. The 200 per night was a rip off. I would like some of that back if anyone that can do this, can help.

Hotel was ehh just full of junkies & such. It states seasonal outdoor pool AND pool as if there’s an indoor one too but there’s just an outdoor one & hot tub. Got stuck on the elevator twice for a little bit. They also rebranded the hotel in the middle of my stay so maybe it’s going to be improving !

We loved the pool, it was so clean and it was well maintained. hot tub was so relaxing, The room was so nice and clean, it was quiet at night and my boys and I slept so well. The staff was always so helpful and Nice.I love the area where the breakfast was served and we actually ate lunch in that area a few times and the people who cleaned the rooms , did a really great job.We will be going back again next summer.

The hotel was in the middle of renovation and smelled of paint which isn’t to bad at least they were trying to spruce the place up! Once upon arriving I notice there was only one working elevator! I waited 15 Min to get on the elevator to be exact it was 14min and 37sec before it arrived. The elevator reeked of weed or cigarette smoke! So the next time I decided to take the stairs! Going down the stairs was an even bigger challenge. Every level had some sort of trash or drug paraphernalia disposed of. I saw needles and cigarette trash and plastic ballon bags. Then on my last morning before checking out I went to shower and there was NO hot water! I called the front desk and no answer!

Property under construction, yet clean. Staff was pleasant, yet had difficulty making a room key. Staff did get assist from othet stsff and resolved the issue. Pool and hot tub are surrounded by the trees-very peaceful

The hotel smelled of marijuana and the people on my floor were fighting and yelling all hours of the night. Guests and staff were permitted to smoke by the entrance and we had to walk through the smoke. I will not stay at this location again.

This property was gross. We entered the first room and it was dirty, no towels, no toilet paper and smelled horrible. Then went into two other rooms and again gross. The entire place had smokers at every entrance and smelled like pot. Very disappointing. We canceled and found someplace else to stay.

I have stayed at these before when traveling with a pet and they have been very clean. This was horrible and even though non refundable there was no way I was going to sleep there. Bugs and garbage in stairwell. Blood and dirt spots on wall. Doors propped open with towels. This hotel needs shut down.

I like the eco-friendliness of the room, but I sanitized my room with Clorox wipes, and they were dirty. The bottom of the toilet had urine around it.

There was black mold growing all on walls and small roaches in room we didn't stay ended up sleeping in car

The hotel looked like it was falling apart. The rooms were not clean. The door would not shut. The door was broken and the room smelled like cat litter.

Honestly, if you're with Family/kids. Spend the extra money and book a different hotel. You might be better off sleeping in the car. Hotel looks decent on the outside but the rooms are terrible. We were on the 1st floor, walked in the room to dirty floors and bugs in the room. We also had to ask for towels, because they didn't put any face towels in the bathroom. BATHROOM WAS HORRIBLE!!! WOW!! You know its bad when you have to lay down towels on the floor and bath tub just to be able to use it. This is what happens when you try to save a little money. This is what you get. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I couldn't upload all my pictures because most of them exceeded the MB size limt. I guess they dont want you to show clear pictures.

Having to change rooms due to mold on the walls, the smell of mildew and the tv not working was not really what I was expecting. They moved us to another room on a different floor and the employee did not seem surprised when I asked to move rooms for the issues I had. They new room was cleaner did not smell but the tv did not have a remote to be able to use it. Was too tired from being wet to address this concern again with the employee at the front desk. Will not stay at this location again.

Smelled of mold and cigarettes. Mold all over the wall around the outlets and doors. Hallway was dark with the lights flickering and smelled of strongly of marijuana. The bed foundation was terrible. I can’t describe what was going on but it felt and sounded like sheet metal underneath.

The lobby, hallways and elevators looked like they were in disrepair. The beds squeaked. There was a beeping noise on the hallway night. People were having loud conversations at 11:30 at night. I only put up with it because I was only there for one night.

The TV and phone in my room weren't working and I had to be moved to another room. I received several text messages, but no one ever responded. I had to physically walk to the desk to get in contact with a staff.member. The bed was very uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on a pullout sofa.

I was really surprised by how good the room looked. It had nice bedding modern furniture and hardwood floors which I appreciated because those carpets be not so nice. My favorite of all was the bathroom because of the new renovation.

There was an 6 inch hole in one of the walls, and the knob to turn on the shower was sitting on the toilet when I entered the room. It was easy to put back on, but need to be properly attached again so it won't continue to come off.

Only complaint is the Wi-Fi sucks

The room was clean and seemed to be updated/modernized except the bathroom did NOT have a door. The beds were comfortable mattresses on top of metal frames which were very squeaky/loud when you moved on them or got in and out of bed. Doesn't make for a good night's sleep.

Front desk person was nice. Hotel reeked of pot, it was noisy, and hallway to room was messy. Room was clean, but shower provided little more than a trickle of water.

They are very unprofessional. I booked for two days and only used 1 day and I was told I can’t get back my refund for the day that wasn’t used even thou the refund was requested in the 24 hour time frame. They are a bunch of unprofessional scammers. I hate the experience.

When I first arrived I wasn’t aware of the name change. I go in to make sure I’m in the right location and the lady behind the desk confirmed. After checking in I go to the room the bathroom shower wasn’t cleaned I’m sure that wasn’t all that wasn’t clean. One of the beds appeared to have been made up with the same dirty covers and pillow cases. The same pink lipstick stain was on the the covers, the wall leading to the bathroom and on the hand towel hanging on the shower door. The pillow case even had dirt marks. The refrigerator wasn’t clean. The window curtains on one end was coming down. I went to pick up the phone in the room to call the office there was no dial tone I looked down and notice the line was cut. So I go back down to the desk to let the lady know and to attempt to show her pictures but she just said she would let them know and asked me for my room number. So we left and came back to notice it’s still not clean. I go back just for Phyllis to tell me that there was noting she could do because the cleaners are gone and the only thing she could do for me is refund my money and I can check out. It was another lady I guess she was on duty gave towels and some cleaning supplies. I even approached the cleaning people the next day but still they did nothing. So I put the dirty items in the hallway like others thinking they would come to replace the items NOT. Certain times of the day you didn’t have hot water. The elevator barely works. Marijuana filled hallways.

Could not make the trip because of car trouble. Tried to contact them for hours to try to see if they would cancel but no answer. They ended up charging my card, even though I didn't stay. Read their cancellation rules closely. With my transaction the cancellation time ended at the same time I made the reservation, but you may not be able to cancel even if you make contact because they apparently don't answer the phone.

At first I was a little indecisive on staying at this hotel because of several of the reviews I read but so glad we did. The hotel was great it was clean and super close to everything (even the beach) The service was super great (especially Phyllis) we couldnt ask for a better hotel!

The property is changing hands and they don’t care about the property. They serviced our room once in 7 days and I had to beg for that. I fell quite badly in the reception area because the floor was dirty and my runners stuck to the floor. I do not recommend this property at all.

The team at La Quinta is excellent because they are being led by Phyllis the manager on duty.

The property is currently undergoing upgrade construction, which is why they were offering such a good rate, which was really all I was looking for. Phones did not work, had trouble with the keys, but Phyllis at the front desk was excellent, and very helpful. Once the construction is complete, I would think this would be a great place to stay.

Everything was fine during my stay. Until my kids decided to go to the pool, and the manager, Phyllips, came out very angry and rude, telling us to leave. I would have truly understood if she had been nice, asking my kids to leave and then mockingly going inside the hotel so other guests wouldn't see her like that. How strange! You expect good treatment, and she doesn't treat guests well. If it weren't for her, everything would have been perfect.

I liked the location, easy to get into highways and side roads. I didn’t like the fact that the room didn’t have a closet.

The hotel is undergoing renovations which is clear -- the rooms themselves look modern and updated; however, the rest of the hotel (hallways, stairs) are outdated and worn. The hotel smells like cigarettes and mildew so if you're staying here, bring your own air humidifier. As far as location, it is close to everything which is ideal and the rate is inexpensive especially if you're only need a place to rest your head as you're doing other things. Some of the guests made it a bad experience by playing music so loud that it could be heard through the walls and other guests just lacking manners to save their domestic issues for other places. The staff is minimum and didn't seem too anxious to resolve issues. The lady who welcomed us was a bit rude when trying to confirm we were at the right location since it was marketed as a Days Inn and is now a LaQuinta. Could see some improvements there. Lastly, there is no breakfast. It is just a few snacks and the staff will tell you that is due to the ongoing renovations so do plan for that.

Here’s what you need to know before staying here. All rooms have been updated with new furniture, paint and fixtures. However, the hallways, lobby and all other areas of the property have not and look very dirty and rundown. When I arrived to my room I found that there was no running water, called the front desk and was informed that the water system was “down for maintenance” and should be back on in 30 minutes. 2 hours later we had cold water only and no water in the shower. Long story short we had no water in our shower for the the first night and had to be moved to a different room the following day. Make sure your door actually locks. The doors and locks are very old and I had to lift the door up to get it to lock properly every time because the door was coming loose from the frame. Maintenance was unable to fix it. The shower in my room leaked water all over the floor every time I used it. The air conditioner had what looked like black mold on the vents and it spit water into the room occasionally. Do not let them put you on the 6th floor, it’s the top floor and seems to be much hotter than other floors. The elevators are very slow and one has a place on the floor that feels like you will fall through the floor. We saw many people who unfortunately seemed to be struggling with addiction and there was a constant faint smell of marijuana. The free breakfast is baskets of fruit and sausage biscuits that have been wrapped and left out on a counter.

We loved our stay so much we extended it several times. 3 days tuned into 3weeks. Good value for the price. Big plus for us was the location. 10 minutes or less to everything we wanted to do at the beach. Nice bar only about a minute drive. If we ever wanted snacks, we could walk to a nearby convenience store. I can't thank the staff enough

Room was nice but staff was eh. Could not call to see if our room was ready and when we came there early they said they had no rooms ready then proceeded to check other people in about 10 or so minutes later. The hallways and elevator were dirty and when checking out there were about 6 cop cars arresting a guy. Overall not a bad hotel but not for the price we paid.

The inside was very clean and the staff was friendly. The outside had alot of trash and the building needs updating. For the price of the room there shouldn't be duck tape holding the shower head on and the lock on the door was broken but is very clean rooms.

Close drive to Myrtle Beach

The general accommodations where comfortable enough for a one week stay. I didn't like the constant smell of smoke in the elevator. The hotel was close to a lot of shopping and dining areas and it was also close to the airport.

The staff was nice and friendly checc in and out was fast. Walking distance from the scripts n the beach.I enjoyed the stay.

Do not go during bike week no breakfast was served and pool was closed for a day due to party.

I did not like the fact that I had to use a plunger to flush the toilet. At breakfast there was no juice , they had run out of juice. It was simply a place to lay your head, nothing memorable.

I was upset the decided not to serve free breakfast advertised because it was “Black Bikers Week” going on which meant there would be a crowd but that still doesn’t mean you shouldn’t serve food because of an event especially one that’s specifically a certain race .

The property is under renovation and is NOT NOTIFICATION of it during booking. No breakfast of anykind was offered, the Coffee was terrible,

The only drawback was the 'limited breakfast: it consisted of biscuits, jelly, and apples m, and coffee

A little confusing, my booking said Days inn but it says La Quinta on the sign. The room was clean and updated. Very noisy neighbors. Stayed for 3 days. Breakfast is non-existent, apples and biscuits with jelly and butter was all they had besides coffee. A worker was bringing out some prepackaged pastry but was told to put those back for the weekend. So plan for your own breakfast. Other than that pool and hot tub was nice and the location is close to the beach.

Per expedia breakfast included, it was not. Pretty much my only complaint
