Howard Johnson by Wyndham Columbus State Fairgrounds I-71

Hotel rooms smelled of cigarette smoke, broken glass on the floor, toilet seats not properly secured, unnamed bodily fluids smeared on the walls. And cockroaches!!

Hotel is under construction. My room the tv was completely off the wall. Toilet wasn’t sealed correctly so it moved around. No door handle on the bathroom. Room key never worked longer than 24hrs. Smelled like nasty feet throughout hotel. Hotel staff didn’t seem to care about the issues.

No hot water. Dirty hotel. Lil hole in the stairs that roaches come from. At least the room we got didn’t have any in them. Broken glass in one of the stairwells leading to an exit. Live bugs in the showers. Construction ongoing. Dirty mattresses outside the property. No bueno. Only redeeming person was the front desk guy at night. He was at least understanding.

Unless you're accustomed to living in the ghetto or are comfortable enough to sacrifice your standards for cost/convenience, do not waste your time with this place because you will absolutely get what you pay for. Overall, the vibes of this place online (which were completely false, misleading, and used stock photos) was that it would be an enjoyable experience and it absolutely made me feel like inmates and people in homeless shelters have more...just more in general than this place offered. The location gave off "seedy" motel vibes and the clientele were either from out of town, like myself, or were exactly the type of people you'd expect to stay/live there. By far the ABSOLUTELY WORST stay of my life.
