Comfort Inn & Suites Knoxville West

We had a comfortable stay and the location was great. The bathroom wasn't cleaned very well on arrival but staff came to clean it for us. We were sad the pool was closed for maintenance as that was partly why we chose this spot!

Close to the mall and all kinds of food. Cool and comfy room. Hallways and elevator were hot. This hotel could use an upgrade. I did not eat breakfast there. The pool had closed for maintenance sign on it, and none of the staff could answer basic questions. So we did not get to use the pool. About 15 minutes from Old Knoxville and the Sun Sphere. Very fun area! The hotel is perfect for resting and sleeping. Nothing special but, special enough.

The pool was full of algae in it and it was unsafe to swim in. They didn't close the pool and the staff didn't seem to think there was anything wrong.

3 out of 4 ice machines out of order. Working machine on 4th florr but elevator out of order. Rear entrance to hotel had missing lock. No control in room for TV. Pool closed.

I wouldn’t stay there again. Elevator didn’t work. Ice machines didn’t work

My stay was ok. The room was clean, however the Fitness center had nothing in it except two treadmills and an elliptical, and some free weights they only went to 30lbs. The eggs at the free breakfast were super rubbery

The elevator broke. We stayed on the 4th floor. Other than that, everything was average.

This is an older property that needs upgrading, like new carpeting. The pool was not open due to mechanical problems. The breakfast was nice.

Hotel room carpet was dirty, hall carpet stained, and room was sort of run down. Initially we checked for bedbugs and found nothing. But, as soon as we were on our way out we found one on the bed. Got out quickly, and quarantined our belongings that had been inside the hotel.

The bathroom was nasty. Mold all over the shower.

Everything was damp and moldy. They clearly had flooding or severe water damage that was not rectified correctly. It was gross.

Staff were kind and thorough. Parking and area felt very safe. Breakfast was good. The room was clean. However - the room had a very distinctive moldy smell

Staff was very nice and helpful when we had interactions but the room and especially bathroom were in pretty bad shape with a lot of visible mold. The bed was comfortable.

Bed bugs - I woke up in the middle of the night in a bed crawling with bed bugs - SO gross - staff was confusing about how to proceed in my own safety in not taking any of these travelers with me. My body is covered in bites - will NEVER return.

It is clear the hotel owner/operator is not running this property well. The room was not clean - found hair on couch, bed, shower, and toilet. The place was not well maintained and the room smelled like cigarette smoke and cheap cologne. We asked for an extra pillow, but they were out and the lady up front seemed nice, but also tired from not being able to properly support the people staying there. Would not recommed staying here.

We arrived in Knoxville around 1100 at night for the Saturday TN versus Alabama football game. The room had ants in it and some sort of bug in the sheets, both were found within 5 minutes of being in the room. We requested a different room and were told there was nothing else available. The nice lady at the desk offered clean sheets bc there were either pubic or chest hairs in the bed. She could not refund our money because we booked it on Hotels.com. We left and called family members 35 minutes away from the hotel at midnight to stay with them. It was a terrible experience and we wasted around $300.

check in staff was fast and nice, breakfast staff was nice. Room was a bid drab looking, I found a live roach in my bed, pulled bed from wall and there was a lot of debris on the mattress. Bathroom toilet did not flush right and ran all night and shower knob was very lose and would not hold the temperature. Breakfast was very good. Biscuts delicious

Bathroom had black mold on the ceiling. Walls are thin and could hear neighboring rooms conversations. Parking lot was confusing. Staff was friendly but it is in need of updating.

This hotel is average; it is adjacent to the freeway, so if your room is on that side of the hotel, it's very noisy. Heavy chemical smell from the cleaning products used. Staff was really friendly and efficient.

The room was nice and big.

The facility is dated, and the breakfast food is not good, thankfully they had decent waffles. It’s not bad overnight and very spacious rooms with comfortable beds.

Comfort Inn provided just what my daughter and I needed for a college visit. The room was spacious, bed deceny comfortable, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast in the morning had a big variety of foods as well. We will be back!

Too close to the highway

I’ve stayed here in the past and not had issues however this stay was a bit different. I just need a clean, quiet room to sleep peacefully in so not a lot of bells & whistles in a hotel stay required. Unfortunately, I was not able to get much sleep at this hotel. I got a room facing the interstate & it’s like being next to a loud raceway all night long. The walls are paper thin and the person/family in the room above me made a LOT of noise & sounded like a herd of elephants trampling around. I could hear people in the hallways over night; & even heard a person open their door & their dog barked it’s welcome…….although this isn’t a hotel that allows pets. To lessen the noise from other rooms, I tried to at least have the heater/AC fan run but the hotel’s units don’t work that way even when you put the Fan off of Auto; you have to change the unit from Heater/AC mode to Fan mode & then you lose control of the temperature in the room. Per the hotel cleanliness – the room was cleaned every day & for the most part done very well. However, the bag for the ice bucket was never changed out so you get stuck with a wet bag to get more ice in. I did try to get a new bag but no one was at the front desk when I passed by. Last item I’d note is that there were 2 businesses next door that closed down & unfortunately the land where they stood is not kept up & full of weeds & garbage; it’s not very appealing. I believe the hotel is priced lower than others in the area to compensate for this

Felt like for the price it needed some updates/improvements. Traffic noise was pretty bad in our room but to be expected I suppose since so close to the interstate.

Nice property. Elevator quit during stay. Too much noise transmitted thru doors and walls.

Everything about the hotel was wonderful except for the initial interaction at the desk. She wasn’t rude, she just wasn’t friendly, not even a smile. We walked in, said, hello, how are you? Her reply, do you have a reservation. She recited the obligatory hotel information, gave us our key, turned and retreated to her little office area. Not even a…have a good night or enjoy your stay. Just a simple smile or hello can go a long way!

I had to wait almost 10 minutes to be checked in when I arrived.

The staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. Any issues were dealt with promptly and the breakfast was quite good. The property does need a bit of updating, but it was affordable and met our need.

The person checking us in was not at the desk when we got there. When she walked in she was on the phone arguing with someone and continued to talk without excusing herself. She seemed to be saying she had not left her desk. There was someone before us who said he had been waiting for someone to show up for 30 minutes. When she did address us she was not friendly but did get us registered in a timely manner.

Everything was great, staff was wonderful!

Room was clean and quiet. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was wonderful; very attentive friendly and helpful.

Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I arrived at hotel an hour before checkout time and they got me right in a room which was awesome breakfast breakfast was awesome. Scrambled eggs were perfect. Will definitely come back.

The property was conveniently located right off the interstate. Easy to get to.

It was clean, the room was large and there were restaurants within walking distance. It was a stop on our way to FLORIDA and convenient to the highway.

A variety would have been nice on the hot breakfast. It was scrambled eggs and sausage every day along with biscuits and gravy

Excellent hot breakfast with many choices including a red velvet waffle! Room clean. The staff were friendly. Overall a very nice stay.
