First room we had the air conditioning wasn't blowing cool. Had to get re- assigned a new room. Definitely more outdated rooms the higher you go up on hotel floors. Disappointed the hot tub was drained and the fitness center only had one set of dumbbells.

The included breakfast was just enough variety for myself and daughter to enjoy. Easy to access from main road. Polite staff and willing to help get us checked in early. Pool was nice but very tiny so once 6 people are in it, it feels vert overcrowded. Really just a pool for a quick dip not necessarily kids to play in.

We always try to stay at the Avid when we go to Lancaster. The location is great, the place is always clean, and the staff is always friendly. They offer free breakfast, free parking, and 24/7 complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. 24 hour fitness room, and an indoor pool just round out the great amenities.

We booked a hotel in mechanicsburg and they had no water so we found this hotel and I couldn’t be happier! The beds were so comfy, the free breakfast was great, my daughters loved the salt water heated pool! There was so many shopping centers and food close by

I choose this hotel 'cause I thought it was new (1-2 years), but apparently is not that new, or it doesn't fels like new. Staff is not friendly, internet was down for day and a half (no one cares), breakfast was very limited

I checked into a double bed room and the staff was very friendly. When I got to the room the beds had what appeared to be grass and hair throughout both beds in the rooms as well as some stains on the sheets and pillows. The shower also didn’t look very clean. I went downstairs to notify the staff and they were very nice about it and gave me a new room immediately. I noticed the shower was also not clean in this room and a few hairs on one of the beds but not the other.

As soon as we walked into our room we could see it was dirty. There were dust ball by the bed and air conditioner. As we lifted the sheets there were pieces of hair throughout the bed, on each layer of sheets down to the actual mattress. This lead us to take a closer look and we found drops of what looked to be blood and stains on the pillows. When you walked into the bathroom you could see that the exhaust fan was covered in dust and there was more hair in the shower. When I went to the front desk to figure out how to fix the issue they told me that they’re all booked and had no house keepers to come by and clean up the mess. We were able to strip the beds and get new sheet but the room cleanliness was never solved. This was the first and last time staying here.

Very clean and modern. The breakfast was good with many selections. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend staying there for a night or two. Rooms are on the small size so it might not work for a family over 5 or 6. I will stay here again.

The Good: front desk and breakfast staff members were very pleasant. Check in went quickly. Pool is nice and seemed clean and is open until 10. No carpets or drawers in the rooms (more hooks and open shelves and benches) are good to reduce potential bug issues. The Bad: deceptively less seats available in the lobby that are also functional for breakfast. We had to wait for seats at breakfast that were adjacent to a table you could put your food on. Some guests were sittting on footstools hunched over little end table like Gollum to eat their food. Not ideal! The ugly: room was NOT CLEAN. Shower was not clean, and there is so much hair and grime on the baseboards and behind the toilet in the bathroom. Sheets had some permanent stains on them. The vent in the bathroom has not been cleaned in... forever??? Gross. Recommendation: Avid should invest in earpieces for their cleaning staff. It is probably more efficient for them to be using two hands to "clean" than only one hand as the other is holding their cell phone as they talk to someone on speakerphone.

The rooms are sparsely furnished and small. Well lit. Building seems only a year old so everything is fresh. Stayed four nights. Staff was friendly and helpful except housekeeping knocking when do not disturb sign up and not we were not checking out. Breakfast was outstanding with healthy quality options plus the usual. Overall a great value and would definitely stay again.

The king room needed to be larger and have an in room safe. Two adults in that size of room was not easy, the bathroom in the king room was larger than the room itself. Loved how they had free breakfast for their guests. Hotel was close to shopping and restaurants.

We loved the hotel for its cleanliness. Liked the walk in shower and the shower head. Loved the Dove products. The staff was very friendly and kind. The breakfast was good. Only complaint is we didn’t get sleep due to the noise from the road. The trucks go by all night long, using their Jake breaks and then revving up to get going at the traffic light. Our friends who were 2 doors down from us had the same problem. I stopped after breakfast to tell the front desk. We were in room 223 and our friends were in room 219. It’s sad that the no sleep was our only complaint, other than that we would recommend the hotel. Eileen Perks

I arrived for my scheduled check in for a room I had booked months in advance to find they had canceled my reservation earlier that day, with only an email that I did not receive as I was in my car driving. The woman at the front desk was so unbelievably rude! Her only response was, "What, didn't you see the email?" She offered no explanation, apology or attempt to right the situation. I was alone, after dark, hours from home with no hotel room. She actually acted like it was somehow my fault.

We travel a lot and have stayed at many brand named hotels, but our stay at Avid in Lancaster is, perhaps, the best managed hotel we have stayed at in quite a while. The cleanliness and comfort of this hotel would have us rate this location as perhaps one of our most favorite stops. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in or around the Lancaster (Pa) area. Thanks Avid!

Waited at least 10 minutes for someone to check us in and we weren't the only ones waiting. Used my credit card and told it had not gone through. Needed to use it 2nd time, and was charged twice. Brought it to the attention of the clerk and she insisted it was only in the system once. It wasn't .

Swimming pool was very nice. Room was clean and comfortable. Location is ideal for shopping and local attractions. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room on the back right side as rooms in the front can hear the traffic. Minor inconvenience. Overall had a lovely stay!

The hotel was in a great location to shops and restaurants. Our room was clean & we had very comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. We used the pool which was nice but very cold water. This was our 2nd stay at Avid and we will return.

The breakfast is the only thing worth mentioning in terms of what I didn't care for. The bananas were super brown, the toasters didn't work (you have to hold down the lever yourself in order for it to toast), and the coffee tasted more like water. Other than that, everything was wonderful! Clean hotel room, comfy bed, and excellent housekeepers.

Front desk clerk was very friendly and efficient. Room was clean and comfortable. Only complaint would be the breakfast. They offered scrambled eggs but they were either frozen or powdered and just not edible. Fried potatoes were cold and just unappealing. Cold cereal tasted generic and coffee was very pale and weak. Had we known how bad it would be we would have planned on eating elsewhere! By then there was no time and we would have missed our show!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Avid Hotel! The hotel is bright and centrally located. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We could have used an additional outlet or two between the beds for our cpap machines and chargers, but the staff installed an extension cord. The food options were somewhat limited (no waffle maker in the breakfast area). Eggs and sausage patties were ok flavor wise! We did have internet access and the room window had a nice view of a farm. Good not great!

Happy with the stay. Property was clean and staff friendly. Only advice I would say is the breakfast beginning at 7am on Saturday is a bit late. We were in town for a convention and had to be at our destination at 7:15am.
